PSW SUPERSTARS OF WRESTLING

Monday, week 4, March 2011

Broadcast on Spike TV on Tuesday late night

Announcers: Potter, Bret Hart & Dusty Rhodes

Lahaina Civic Center Gym, Lahaina, Hawaii (2,400)

<img alt="web1_4518024-748dca3f5794444bb2ac9e6ff892434f.jpg" data-src="https://www.staradvertiser.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/web1_4518024-748dca3f5794444bb2ac9e6ff892434f.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

To start the show, Chris Jericho storms into the office of the Director of Operations. Jericho shouts at Adam Sandler, asking him when the “bullshit around here is going to end”. Sandler remains calm, in fact a sadistic grin emerges on his face as he tells Chris Jericho that he remembers what Jericho said last week when he alleged that the Lethal draw was rigged, and he also remembers his interference in the Lethal Battle Royal where he caused the elimination of two Outlaws… so at Jeopardy Chris Jericho is going to face The Outlaws in a handicap match… all four of them. Jericho is fuming and bangs on the desk before throwing items off it on to the floor and slamming the door on his way out. 80

Adam Sandler looked good.

Motor City Machine Guns v Spanish Announce Team

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Spanish Announce Team defeated Motor City Machine Guns in 6:42 when Joel Maximo defeated Alex Shelley by pinfall with a Spanish Fly. 42

Jose Maximo is improving in rumble skills.

In the backstage interview area, Chris Hero and Reckless Youth are talking about how they teamed well together at Lethal even though they lost to Cade Thesz and Rob Van Dam. They discuss teaming up more often.

PSW TV TITLE

Marty Scurll (champion) v Stu Sanders

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Marty Scurll defeated Stu Sanders in 8:43 by submission. Marty Scurll makes defence number 5 of his PSW TV Title. 57

Scurll and Sanders have good chemistry which lifted the match.

Stu Sanders is improving in technical skills.

Marty Scurll has won his last 6 matches.

In the locker room, the new Continental Tag Team champions are arguing. T. J. Perkins is still raw over Matt Sydal persuading him not to enter Lethal and tells him so. Sydal asks Perkins why he is so uptight about it when they have become champions again. Chicago’s Finest arrive and CM Punk sees the champions are at logger heads so tells them he and Colt Cabana want their rematch next month at Jeopardy. 41

GRAPPLER’S LEAGUE SECOND DIVISION

Davey Richards (1-0-3) v Rocky Romero (4-0-0)

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Rocky Romero defeated Davey Richards in 9:24 by submission. 44

Rocky Romero seemed off his game.

Richards and Romero have great chemistry which lifted the match.

Potter climbs in the ring and calls out Adam Sandler. Potter rips into Sandler, telling him he is biased and the worst Director of Operations PSW has ever had. Potter tells Sandler he is going to be relieved of his duties and calls down security to escort the Hollywood actor out of the building. However, as security enter the ring, an unknown man in a suit makes his way into the arena. He introduces himself as a Spike TV executive and tells Potter not to act so rashly… two weeks ago he pulled the plug on the show before the main event has finished, and if Potter is going to fire Adam Sandler, then he will pull the plug on PSW Superstars of Wrestling immediately and for good. Potter very reluctantly calls off security and walks silently back to the announce desk, as Sandler has an evil grin on his face in the ring. 75

Adam Sandler was good.

Potter looked dreadful.

GRAPPLER’S LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION

Matt Sydal (1-2-1, Continental Tag Team champion) v Randy Orton (3-0-1)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Randy Orton defeated Matt Sydal in 13:13 by pinfall with an O-Zone. 74

Sydal and Orton have great chemistry and it showed in their performances.

Adam Sandler is back in his office when Rob Van Dam enters, a lot calmer and politer than Chris Jericho at the start of the show. Van Dam says he wants in on Jeopardy so he can win the PSW Continental Championship again. Sandler says OK… what does Van Dam want to risk for the shot? Rob Van Dam says his pony tail is one of his most recogniseable features so he will risk losing his pony tail to be in the match. Sandler says a haircut strangely brings ratings, so he agrees. 71

Adam Sandler was fantastic.

Rob Van Dam looked lost.

GRAPPLER’S LEAGUE FIRST DIVISION

John Cena (3-0-1, with Raven) v ‘Grand Slam’ Kevin Steen (4-0-0, Continental champion)

Good match-up

It was a triple A* show. :D

Williams has been doing well in PSW.

Lethal Consequences has crossed my mind before.

Knox v Stock would be a good match in real life, sadly Stock has not been too impressive in PSW.
