<strong>Havana Pitbulls v Londrick</strong></p><p>

After fireworks go off in the arena and Potter and Bret Hart welcome the pay per view viewers to the show, we kick off with a decent fast paced tag team match. Londrick were champions a few years ago while Havana Pitbulls came close a couple of times to winning the belts more recently. This one went the way of the Pitbulls in 11:15 when Ricky Reyes defeated Brian Kendrick by pinfall. <strong>59</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Following the match we are backstage with Austin Aries. He says he is risking a lot tonight in the Continental Championship match. He says he and Continental champion Kevin Steen are tag team partners… former tag team champions… best friends… and he’s willing to risk all that to win the big one. Aries says tonight he is going to become champion and he hopes Kevin Steen understands that as champion he has got to do what he has got to do. <strong>35</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PSW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Amazing Kong (champion) v Beth Phoenix</strong></p><p>

The first of two championship rematches from Lethal, albeit Kong beat Phoenix in a three way to win the title last month. With no Nikita in the equation this time, Kong overpowered Phoenix, and Phoenix is a strong woman as it is. Kong retained in 11:43 by pinfall. Amazing Kong makes defence number 1 of her PSW Women's Championship title. Now Kong is champion at last, it’s going to take a mighty effort from someone to take the title from her. <strong>47</strong></p><p>

Amazing Kong has won her last 5 matches.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="YQ9Pn80.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YQ9Pn80.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> v <span>http://i.imgur.com/AviG0jh.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>Great Sasuke v Lance Storm</strong></p><p>

The PSW debut of the great Great Sasuke and he faces the skilled veteran Lance Storm, not an easy match for either man.</p><p>

It was a good match, and a good debut from the masked Japanese superstar. He got the better of his Canadian adversary as Lance continues his recent slump in 9:52 by pinfall with a Thunder Fire Power Bomb. <strong>65</strong></p><p>

Lance Storm has lost his last 8 matches.</p><p> </p><p>

An angry Chris Jericho speaks from backstage. He is angry at The Outlaws for robbing his house and all the business they have interfered with in recent months, and angry with Adam Sandler for his bias and total disregarded for people who mean everything to this business like Bret Hart. He says revenge will be his but it won’t be tonight, as tonight is about survival as he fights four men alone.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PSW YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Eddie Kingston (champion) v Ricky Steamboat Jr</strong></p><p>

Kingston’s first reign as Youth champion has started well, defeating former champion Drew McIntyre to win the belt at Choice of the New Generation, before a comfortable defence against Bray Wyatt and now and impressive defence against another former champion Ricky Steamboat Jr. Though the action was solid, the match lacked excitement and disappointed a little.</p><p>

Kingston’s victory came in 11:13 by pinfall. Eddie Kingston makes defence number 2 of his PSW Youth Championship title. <strong>47</strong></p><p>

Kingston and Steamboat Jr have great chemistry.</p><p>

Eddie Kingston is improving in performance skills.</p><p>

Just as the referee was about to ring the bell…</p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/tdjGkME.jpg</span></p><p>

Out walks the Director of Operations. Adam Sandler gets a mic from ringside, and announces that this isn’t a regular tag team handicap match, it’s going to bea tornado tag team handicap match.</p><p>

<strong>TORNADO TAG TEAM HANDICAP MATCH</strong></p><p><strong>

‘The Great Champion’ Chris Jericho v The Outlaws (with BG James)</strong></p><p>

As great as Chris Jericho is, even he doesn’t stand a chance against four men. This was all about survival and he survived for quite a while despite not getting much offence. He eventually succumbed to the inevitable in 12:18 when Cade Thesz defeated Chris Jericho by submission. <strong>60</strong></p><p>

Roderick Strong is improving in rumble skills.</p><p> </p><p>

Randy Orton is backstage. He says he was close to winning the title last month at Lethal and he’s willing to risk never having another chance again in order to win back the Continental Championship tonight. <strong>53</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER’S LEAGUE FIRST DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

‘The Follower’ John Cena (3-0-2, with Raven) v Keiji Sakoda (3-0-1)</strong></p><p>

A hard hitting match between two tough guys. They slugged it out toe to toe and it was clearly wearing them both down. Raven pulled interference a couple of times and despite this it was Sakoda who took the win in 13:09 by pinfall. <strong>70</strong></p><p>

Cena and Sakoda have good chemistry.</p><p>

<strong>PSW CONTINENTAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

To Kijar, With Love (champions) v Chicago’s Finest</strong></p><p>

The second rematch from Lethal and this was a better match than the first. The action was great and often had the fans on their feet and cheering the action. All four men put in a performance here.</p><p>

There is growing tension between the champions, as T. J. Perkins still seems to be agitated at Matt Sydal for talking him out of entering Lethal and instead challenging and indeed winning the Continental Tag Team Championship. Despite the tension, the champions managed to retain in 22:09 when Matt Sydal defeated Colt Cabana by pinfall. To Kijar, With Love make defence number 1 of their PSW Continental Tag Team Championship titles. <strong>80 – match of the night</strong></p><p>

T. J. Perkins is improving in rumble skills.</p><p> </p><p>

Rob Van Dam is in the locker room. After finishing his stretches, he plays with his pony tail. He says he isn’t losing his hair tonight, he is winning the Continental Championship back. <strong>51[/b</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><strong><strong>GRAPPLER’S LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION</strong></strong></p><p><strong><strong>

AJ Styles (2-1-2) v Jimmy Yang (5-0-0)</strong></strong></p><p><strong>

A match that although had pockets of great action, didn’t deliver as many people had hoped it would.</strong></p><p><strong>

AJ certainly proved a stern test for Yang, as the two took to the air as often as they wrestled on the mat.</strong></p><p><strong>

It was Yang who looked like he was going to win. He was in control of the match and was about to nail Yang Time only for the bell to ring… the time limit had expired and the match was a draw. AJ Styles has now had seven draws in PSW, four more than anybody else. </strong><strong><strong>71</strong></strong></p><p><strong>

AJ Styles has had 150 singles matches in PSW, winning 94.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Kevin Steen stands by the entrance to the arena. He smiles as he remarks that his three opponents are risking a lot to challenge for the title. Steen says he is risking his title, and as champion he doesn’t want it any other way. Steen says he is ready to fight and ready to keep his title. </strong><strong><strong>48</strong></strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><strong><strong>PSW CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></strong></p><p><strong><strong>

JEOPARDY MATCH</strong></strong></p><p><strong><strong>

‘Grand Slam’ Kevin Steen (champion) v ‘Highlight Reel’ Rob Van Dam (risking his hair) v Austin Aries (risking his New Wave tag team with Kevin Steen) v Randy Orton (risking no more Continental Championship matches)</strong></strong></p><p><strong>

The annual Jeopardy match, who is going to lose their stake?</strong></p><p><strong>

It was intense from the off as all four men started trading blows. Interestingly, for all the early stages of the match, Steen and Aries not only avoided fighting each other, but often used their tag team experience to work together. This stopped around ten minutes in when they were the only two left in the ring and with the Continental Championship at stake they started fighting each other, much to the delight of the 11,000 or so in attendance and no doubt Adam Sandler backstage.</strong></p><p><strong>

Then came a number of near falls with Randy Orton nearly losing the chance of ever challenging for the Continental Championship again, Rob Van Dam nearly losing his hair, Austin Aries nearly losing his tag team and friendship with Kevin Steen, who himself nearly lost the title. It was edge of the seat stuff.</strong></p><p><strong>

When the dust settled, it did come down to the two New Wave team mates and it was the Continental champion who bested his best friend in 23:01 when Kevin Steen defeated Austin Aries by pinfall with a F-Cinq. Kevin Steen makes defence number 2 of his PSW Continental Championship title. New Wave are no more and where does this leave the friendship between Steen and Aries? Aries looked distraught at the show ended, looking up at the celebrating Steen who showed no concern to his former team mate and best friend. </strong><strong><strong>74</strong></strong></p><p><strong>

Kevin Steen has won his last 11 matches.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

<strong>PSW SUPERSTARS OF WRESTLING</strong></p><p>

Monday, week 3, April 2011</p><p>

Broadcast on Spike TV on Tuesday late night</p><p>

Announcers: Potter and Bret Hart</p><p>

Qwest Arena, Boise, Idaho (6,400 capacity)</p><p>

<img alt="9-24-18-Execuite-Suites-Pic" data-src="https://res.cloudinary.com/echl-production/image/upload/v1/echlidaho-prod/9-24-18-Execuite-Suites-Pic" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

We start with Adam Sandler, BG James and Potter in the ring. Potter questions Adam Sandler why BG James is in the ring when he failed his third drug test last night at Jeopardy and PSW policy is three failed drugs tests in a row and your contract is terminated. Sandler says he isn’t firing James as he has a contract of employment with PSW, not stating which capacity. Potter says he can work with that as he has the power to do two things… one is ban BG James from ever competing in PSW again due to his drug misuse even if he cannot be fired… and two is Adam Sandler is not interested in PSW policy, so he and Chris Jericho had an idea last week and that will start being put in action later tonight. Sandler looks worried and James irate as Potter leaves the ring. <strong>59</strong></p><p>

Adam Sandler was fantastic.</p><p>

BG James looked lost.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Shock & Awe v Spanish Announce Team</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Shock & Awe defeated Spanish Announce Team in 7:58 when Caprice Coleman defeated Jose Maximo by pinfall with a Thermal Shock. <strong>51</strong></p><p>

Shock & Awe display excellent chemistry.</p><p>

Stu Sanders is improving in technical skills.</p><p> </p><p>

Backstage and we see the Continental Tag Team champions still a month later having a heated argument about Matt Sydal talking T. J. Perkins out of entering Lethal despite them winning the titles that night. Each champion calls the other selfish. <strong>43</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/kvP8A62.jpg</span> v <span>http://i.imgur.com/i0r2qrk.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER’S LEAGUE SECOND DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

‘Bad Ass’ Drew McIntyre (5-0-0) v Rocky Romero (5-0-0)</strong></p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Drew McIntyre defeated Rocky Romero in 9:04 by pinfall with an Ego Trip. <strong>56</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In the locker room prior to the main event tonight, former Continental Tag Team champions are having a discussion. Austin Aries questions the current Continental champion as to what his motives are, it’s fair enough he kept his title last night at Jeopardy, but why pin Aries? Steen says it is simple. The Continental Championship is what matters, and if he has to lose a partner and friend to keep it, then so be it. <strong>48</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PSW TV TITLE</strong></p><p><strong>

Marty Scurll (champion) v Paul London</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Marty Scurll defeated Paul London in 10:44 by submission. Marty Scurll makes defence number 8 of his PSW TV Title. <strong>60</strong></p><p>

Marty Scurll has won his last 9 matches.</p><p> </p><p>

BG James is with The Outlaws in what looks like a safe house. He says he is happy with Jeopardy, they kicked Chris Jericho’s ass to within an inch of his life. He says he now wants gold. He wants Cade Thesz to win the Continental Championship and Red and Daniels to win the Continental Tag Team Championship at Anniversary Show X. <strong>32</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/AviG0jh.jpg</span> v <span>http://i.imgur.com/ZpA7Z98.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER’S LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

Lance Storm (1-0-4) v ‘Highlight Reel’ Rob Van Dam (1-0-4)</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Rob Van Dam defeated Lance Storm in 12:09 by pinfall with a Frog Splash. <strong>60</strong></p><p>

Lance Storm has lost his last 9 matches.</p><p> </p><p>

Chris Jericho is with PSW owner Potter and they enter the office of the Director of Operations. Jericho and Potter are all smiles. They say Potter has signed off on a tag team match as owner of PSW for Anniversary Show X. Potter’s tag team which will include Chris Jericho will fight Adam Sandler’s tag team. If Potter’s team wins, Sandler is removed as Director of Operations. If Sandler’s team wins, then Sandler has free reign as Director of Operations until he decides otherwise. Sandler says no way, Spike TV will veto this or pull you off there. Jericho interrupts, saying Spike TV have already agreed to it. Sandler looks worried for the second time tonight. <strong>67</strong></p><p>

Adam Sandler was the real star.</p><p>

Potter under performed.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER’S LEAGUE FIRST DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

Austin Aries (4-0-2) v ‘Grand Slam’ Kevin Steen (5-0-0, Continental champion)</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Kevin Steen defeated Austin Aries in 14:17 by pinfall with a Steenalizer. <strong>68 – match of the night</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Immediately after the match, Cade Thesz runs into the ring and attacks Kevin Steen from behind. He picks up the Continental Championship belt and holds it aloft above the prone champion as the show goes off the air. <strong>58</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Show rating: D+ 52</strong></p><p>

The fans were annoyed at the amount of non wrestling segments they had to sit through.</p><p>

PSW lost popularity in 16 regions.</p><p>

Attendance: 6,371</p><p>

TV rating: 2.66 (down 0.47), approximately 199,500 viewers.</p><p>

Profit: $61,245</p><p>
