This edition of WWE Smackdown kicks off with the New Day coming out. They talk about Cesaro & Tyson Kidd. They say how disrespectful it was to attack them while they were having fun with Adam Rose. They say Rose got what he deserved, because he wanted to party, but New Day wasn't up to party.

Xavier Woods (w/Big E & Kofi Kingston) vs. Adam Rose (w/Cesaro & Tyson Kidd)

New Day's hyperactive talker met in the ring with a vicious Adam Rose. The in-ring was secondary during the match, because the New Day argued and fought with Cesaro & Tyson Kidd on the outside. Adam Rose got the win with the Party Foul after Cesaro distracted Xavier Woods.

 

Rating: 59 (9:34)

 

After the match, the New Day retreat to the back, but Cesaro, Tyson Kidd and Adam Rose stay in the ring to celebrate with the fans. Cesaro says they're just getting started.

Dean Ambrose comes out and cuts a powerful promo on the Royal Rumble. He says he's not afraid of Bray Wyatt. He's certainly better than Christian and even his friend Roman Reigns won't be able to beat him. He says the Rumble match is everyone for himself and he won't hesistate to betray someone to have the chance to headline Werstlemania.

Roman Reigns interrupts his friend and says he beat the record for the most elimination in a single Rumble Match last year and he intends to beat that record this year. He says nobody can be as good as he is in the Royal Ru...

Christian interrupts Reigns. Captain Charisma makes his way to the ring and boos follow him. He says maybe he looks past his prime, but the events of last week's RAW motivated him. He compares himself to the great Shawn Michaels, saying when he came back, he was better than ever, so he will be just like him and be way better than when he left. The fans don't like the comparison and Christian says he doesn't care about what they think.

Christian is interrupted by Goldust & Stardust on the titantron. They're in their cosmic room and they look weird. They say they will be in the Rumble Match and one of them is going to win it. They argue about which one will be last man in the ring and can't decide on who's better. Reigns says he's going to eliminate them both, and Goldust reminds him of RAW.

We go to the commercials.

Back from the break, the Bellas are coming down the ramp to have a seat to be the guest commentators in the Divas match.

Paige vs. Layla

The 36 years old Diva Layla got little offense on the much younger Paige. The Anti-Diva got the easy win after hitting the Ram-Paige on Layla for the win.

Right after the bell, the Bellas jump in the ring and attack Paige. Before any damages are done, Natalya runs down the ramp to help Paige fight the Bellas away. Paige looks strangely at Natalya to end the segment.

Kane comes out and inserts himself in the Royal Rumble Match. He announces himself as the third member of Team Goldust for tonight's main event. He says maybe Christian, Reigns and Ambrose may very well not be a good team, but that's why he booked them together, to get an easy win later in the evening.

After the break, Bad News Barrett comes out and annouces he has some bad news. He says the bad news is: he's going to win the Royal Rumble. He declares himself to King of Bad News and he's interrupted by R-Truth.

The delusional R-Truth says he's going to win the Royal Rumble match and his match tonight against Barrett, because he's King What's up! and the crowd loves him.

R-Truth vs. Bad News Barrett

Truth got his fair share of problems during his match with Barrett. He seemed to hurt himself while doing a dropkick and Barrett controlled the vast majority of the match. Truth attempted a comeback, but Barrett connects with the Bullhammer to end the bout.

After the match, Titus O'Neil comes out and helps Truth getting back to his feet. He says Truth looks like he needs help if he wants to win the Royal Rumble and even a single match. He says he's there to help, but Truth doesn't seem sure.

After the break, Zeb Colter is in the ring with Jack Swagger. Colter says the Royal Rumble needs an American and Swagger's the guy. They look to get another win tonight to get some momentum before the big match.

Jack Swagger vs. Mark Henry

This filler match didn't have the best buildup, but the Real American looks like he's on a roll right now as he picks up another victory, but this time against the World's Strongest Jobber with the Patriot Lock.

 

Rating: 69 (12:40)

Swagger's on a roll, because he picked up victories on Superstars and Main Event. These two shows won't be covered in this diary, because there's no storyline progression.

After the break, Seth Rollins comes out with Kane. Kane annouces Rollins as the guest commentator for the main event.

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose & Christian vs. Goldust, Stardust & Kane

Our main event for tonight put six participants who are confirmed as official entrants on the Royal Rumble Match against each other. The team of Reigns and Ambrose doesn't seem to appreciate Christian's presence early on, but Christian looks like he wants to win this match. Kane and the Rhodes Brothers isolated Roman Reigns during the match and when Reigns wanted to tag in Christian for the hot tag, Christian walked away. Roman got worked a little bit and he finally managed to tag in Dean Ambrose. The Lunatic Fringe cleared the ring and hit the Dirty Deeds on Goldust for the win.

William Regal to adress the Full Sail Crowd!

 

NXT's general manager will open tonight's edition of NXT to kick off 2015 on a bang. 2014 was a wonderful year for WWE's developmental territory and GM Regal doesn't want NXT to slow down. What does he have to say?

 

The Heart and Soul of NXT in action tonight.

 

Since Sami Zayn got laid out by Kevin Owens at Takeover: R Evolution, we haven't seen our new NXT Champion on NXT TV. He makes his grand return on tonight's edition of NXT as he will face Tyler Breeze in a non-title match in the main event.

 

The Lone Wolf.

 

Baron Corbin is on a roll right now with his impressive winning streak. The Big Breakfast will look to continue on the winning path as he takes on Cal Bishop.

Cheerleader Melissa: The 32 year-old Cheerleader Melissa has a really good ground and game and is a really good technician. She held the SHIMMER Promotion main title 2 times, the first time for more than a year and the second time from April 2013 and October 2014. We wish her a really good career in WWE.

 

Kana: The 33 year-old Japanese Star has an insane amount of charisma and she left her mark everywhere she's been over the years. Known for her crazy outfits and her impressive kicks, Kana is currently the co-holder of the WAVE Tag Team Championship, a title she won back in April 2013!

 

Shaul Guerrero: The 24 year-old may look inexperienced, but she's been in the wrestling business since she's 15 years old. Daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero and former General Manager Vickie Guerrero, we can say Shaul has wrestling in her blood.

 

Sofia Cortez: Cortez, better known as Ivelisse was working a lot on the independance scene. First appearing in WWE, during Tough Enough, Cortez never gave up and she finally made it back in the WWE in 2015, as one of NXT's newest signee.

The Alpha Female: The gigantic German is a good addition to NXT's Women Division. At 6ft. 1, The Alpha Female will be a force to be reckoned with in NXT. She hopes to make an impact in NXT as one of the newest signee.
