Ricochet, Sydal, Dar and Ligero went out there to steal the show and that’s exactly what they did putting on a great match with a mix of flippy sh*t and mat based work leaving Reseda giving all four men a standing ovation, after this performance it wouldn’t be surprising to see El Ligero and Noam Dar back over the pond soon. Eventually the IWGP Jr Heavyweight champions were able to hit stereo shooting star presses for the victory in 14 minutes.

The story coming into the match was if Chuck Taylor and Rocky Romero would be able to successfully team together despite their current ongoing arguments over Rocky ‘stealing’ Trent from him to team with him in NJPW aaaaannnnddddd……. They couldn’t and it cost them the victory as Rocky Romero hit a brainbuster on Mark Haskins he then went over to his corner to brag about his incredible feat of hitting a move before being rolled up.

Candice LeRae was given the opportunity to enter the fourth Natural Progression Series by PROGRESS Management when it was announced that this show was happening and she gladly took it with both hands. The three young men representing the Dazzler Team and PROGRESS were all making their Reseda debuts and it’ll be a night they’ll remember for a long time as they defeated the core of PWG, Mount Rushmore 2.0 after Jack Gallagher left Roderick stunned when he was dropped with a Gotch piledriver.

In a fantastic match Tommy End successfully defended his PWG World Title against technical wizard Drew Gulak. Nigel McGuinness, leader of Dazzler team, was out at ringside for the match in Tommy End’s corner however he stayed completely out of the way bringing his own chair out to watch the match placing himself right next to Dave Meltzer who was in the front row watching and Nigel began writing down notes on the match and compared his match report with Meltzer post-match.

After 17 minutes Tommy End hit his trademark roundhouse head kick dropping Gulak before heading to the rop rope to hit his double stomp for the victory. Nigel McGuinness then slid into the ring under the bottom rope to help a blurry eyed Gulak back to his feet.

"Drew Gulak look at you now, you’ve come a long way since I saw you 4 or 5 years ago on a tiny show, listen you’ve got the potential to do some very special things in this business and you’re just entering your prime, with the right leadership and guidance you can go to the very top and I believe I can be the man to do that. Drew, join us. The Dazzler team could use someone as talented and special as you.”

In a phenomenal match The Villian Marty Scurll defeated the Callihan Death Machine. Pre-match Sami Callihan asked for the match to be turned into a Guerrilla Warfare match which Scurll accepted when he came out and the match was more of a brawl than a wrestling match with no less than 14 umbrellas being used and broken by Marty. The finish came 16 minutes in when Scurll used a chicken wing with the assist of an umbrella causing Callihan to pass out and unable to continue.

Yes.

Standard fare. Already shivering at the thought of Rampage & Daisuke being tag champs.

Dahlia is the resident. Love Nixon though, shame the only time I saw her in person she had to try and get a wrestling match out of Leva Bates.

The second contest of the evening was an intergender tag match seeing a rare occurance of imports not based in the UK making an appearance as the Worlds Cutest Tag Team of Joey Ryan and Candice LeRae made their UK Debuts for PROGRESS. Their tough opposition came in the way of Tyler Bate and Toni Storm who recently returned from a successful tour of Stardom in Japan. Tyler and Toni, who decided on the name of Thunder Thighs as their tag team name for this show, managed to pick up the victory on this occasion after Tyler Bate picked up Joey Ryan and his penis for a brainbuster in just over 11 minutes.

Since the last Chapter show where Noam Dar did what no other Origin member could do and defeat Nick Aldis all has been quiet on Social Media between the members of the former group known as The Origin, that was until the PROGRESS Twitter Account caught Noam Dar and Nathan Cruz arguing in the car park of the venue before being split up by the London Riots, that bad blood spilled into the ring as Nathan Cruz and Zack Gibson wasted little time in getting the match started jumping Noam Dar and El Ligero before Jim Smallman could formally announce them to the crowd.

The El Ligero of this match was a different Mexican luchador to the little feisty bastard we’ve seen during his Tag Team Title reign with Nathan Cruz as he resorted to his other, kinder side that you see around the UK in other promotions and it served him well as he managed to get a rollup victory on Nathan Cruz in just over 14 minutes. The fallout of The Origin is not finished as Cruz will likely want to get his hands on Noam Dar more.

The final first round matchup of the Natural Progress Series saw Nixon Newell make her PROGRESS debut against PROGRESS regular Dahlia Black and pulled off an upset win, early on Dahlia Black had a clear advantage in part thanks to her boyfriend, TK Cooper, who was at ringside however when he was caught being a naughty boy getting involved referee Joel Allen ejected him from the match with a wonderful Yooooouuuuu’rrreeeeee outtaaa heerrrreeeeee followed by the mandatory toddler tantrum before leaving. It was after this happened Nixon Newell began to take the advantage and a Shining Wizard was enough to pin Dahlia to advance to the semi-finals.

Rampage Brown was the first man out the curtain to the familiar sound of Hatebreed but had backup for the first time in new friend Daisuke Sekimoto, when comparing that muscle mass to Jack Gallagher no matter how extraordinarily talented he is it’s not much of a contest even with the phenomenal wrestling mind of Nigel McGuinness out to help him. The first few minutes of the match Jack Gallagher managed to keep the big man from Leeds to the ground tying him up in knots until it seemed like something switched in Rampage Brown’s mind, he powered out and began beating Gallagher in more of a brawl than a wrestling match that Gallagher would have hoped for throwing him out of the ring with ease before launching him into chairs, walls and even fans who got a little closer to one half of the tag team champions than they would have thought. Gallagher left battered and bruised rolled himself back into the ring while Rampage went around the ring to talk into Sekimoto’s ear and it was the worst thing Gallagher could have done as he was picked up only to be dropped straight back down with a piledriver, Rampage Brown is your winner.

Post-match Nigel McGuinness quickly jumped into the ring to check on his friend and client but was ambushed by the big Daisuke Sekimoto who held Nigel’s arms behind his back allowing Rampage to take three punches at his chest before Daisuke let him go walking away with no explanation for their actions.

In a phenomenal match the Leaders of the New School clashed with the one of the most prestigious belts in all of Independent Wrestling on the line. The two showed a great mutual respect to each other as Marty Scurll accepted Sabre Jr’s pre-match handshake Code of Honor-esque before they locked up. They exchanged multiple hold throughout the first ten minutes of the match with both men focusing on their opponents left arm to stop their respective finishers and it worked as Zack Sabre Jr after so much damage taken to it was unable to execute a simple armbar onto Scurll which may have cost him the match and the belt as Marty Scurll was forced to use an old signature move of his from the Party Marty days as he used the Party’s Over (Backbreaker rack droped into a double knee backbreaker) to retain the title in 23 minutes.

Post-match Marty Scurll helped Zack Sabre Jr back to his feet and they hugged it out before Mark Haskins and Sha Samuels hit the ring and attacked them from behind, Mark Haskins picked up the PROGRESS belt to the annoyance of Sha Samuels who told him to Put my bloody title now you mug.
