So many mystery opponents this week! I'm surprised your question mark key didn't outright revolt against you!

Nash and Steiner - I'll be interested to see the in-game score for this match because this should be the easiest A that someone can achieve.

Could go with Paul Levesque, for some reason that rolls better in my head then Jean Levesque. Not to mention I normally hear wrestlers call him Paul if not using Hunter. So, it seems like he prefers that over Jean.

His full name is Paul Michael Levesque, so PML could work... but we're a little way ahead of text language just yet, I think.

You could riff on his key influences, but that's Kowalski, Ric Flair and Harley Race, none of whom are exactly low key!

Something fairly timely... well, HHH was up to quite a lot in November 1997 in our timeline! But assuming that JPL and Michaels have control over it, you could hint at JPL's departure being down to his being involved with Stephanie (born 1976 so no issue there) against Vince's wishes (I know nothing happened between them in real life until 2000 or so).

So it could be something like:

"Didn't you have a girl back in New York?"

"I used to... still do, too, although her pop doesn't like me very much. That's how I ended up here."

"Well, what does she call you?"

"Well, she still calls me Hunter. After all..."

*Suggestive eyebrows, business with kielbasa*

Cue Hunter Levesque - no need to look for three initials; JPL is clumsy as you say, and Triple H rolls off the tongue while writing HHH I find is less easy.

Honestly I think it's the "Levesque" that causes the most problems....you want a name that either pops because it's short and sharp, Scott-Hall, Bret-Hart, Kevin-Nash, Hulk-Hogan, John-Cena, Lex-Luger, or you want a name you can chant, so Aus-tin, Je-ri-cho, Stei-nerrrr, Gooooold-berg, or failing that you want something that's smooth to say, so Shawn Michaels, Triple H etc.....Levesque you can do nothing with, it's clunky to say, you can't chant it, and it certainly isn't smooth to say.....I guess that's why Michael Higginbottom isn't a former WWF Champion, but Shawn Michaels is......

....plus Hunter Levesque is only an initial away from constantly reminding me of one of my favourite authors Hunter S. Thompson.......Hunter S. Levesque, actually I can see it now...

I know it doesn't eliminate the Levesque problem, but it's easier to write Hunter and make it sound cool than JPL (That's Jean Pierre Lafiette, dammit). I've always associated "The Game" with HHH's final form, and I'm not sure we're there yet if he's still playing second fiddle to HBK.

".....where's the match Vince?.....what happened?.....did Sunny "convince" you to cancel it?...." ....Vince hasn't got time for this nonsense....he tells Al that WHY his match tonight isn't happening is really no concern of his, but yes, Sunny and Mr. McMahon held a "private" meeting late last week, and she made some rather compelling arguments.....he says that Al Snow and Chris Candido work for HIM, and as such they will wrestle when they're told, against WHO they're told, and they will damn well leave this office when they're told.....which would be now..... "....get out....." ....Snow says he knew it.....he knew that little tramp had something to do with it.....but that's ok.....Sunny isn't the only one with some womanly charms....he says that he knows what Vince REALLY wants......what he NEEDS......and it's not some two bit plastic bimbo.....Vince is a REAL man.....and a real man deserves a real woman......Al knows what the boss wants......and he's gonna give it to him...... ".....I'm gonna give you......Head....." ....Al could have maybe timed that comment a little better....because Vince was just taking a sip of water at the time.....one spit-take later and Al Snow is wiping water from his face as Vince asks him just what in the hell he's suggesting? Snow (as usual) looks confused by the question, before patting Head on the....erm....head.....saying he thought that was obvious.....he says that anything Sunny can do, Head can do better.....and Al knows that she can "convince" Vince to give them the qualifying match that they want..... ....when neither Vince nor Head appear to be very forthcoming with the "negotiations" Al gets slightly frustrated, telling everyone to ".....turn around damn it, give these two some privacy....." before turning his back to McMahon, dragging Candido around with him as he goes, while also yelling at Flair, Anderson, and Kane to turn around, face the wall, and give Vince and Head a little alone time..... .....to their credit (and with a smirk on their face) both Flair and Arn do turn around....Kane does not....but it doesn't matter, because McMahon has had enough......he tells Snow and Candido that if they want to be a part of that four way elimination Tag Title match at Survivor Series that badly, then all they have to do is win their match next week.....and since they're p!ssing him off, that match next week will be against Ric Flair, and Arn Anderson.....they win, they're in the elimination match.....they lose.....they're not.....it's just that simple..... ....I think the fact that Snow and Candido now have to face two wrestlers of the calibre of Flair and Anderson to qualify for their WWF Tag Team Title opportunity, was SUPPOSED to be some form of punishment.....but if it was you wouldn't know it by Al Snow's reaction....he snatches up Head with a triumphant yell, telling Candido that he knew Head could do it....he knew she'd get them the shot, before dragging his partner by the arm back out of the room, as McMahon tells The Nature Boy and The Enforcer to stop s******ing, before muttering "....Idiot...." under his breath, as we go back down to ringside. Jarrett nails Kidman over the head with that Acoustic Equaliser on the outside, and while the official is dealing with that, Steiner rolls into the ring with Jarretts European Championship, which he uses to blast Hardy right in the back of the skull, leaving him easy pickings for Canterbury to pick up the one, two, three. Is he trying to take him out before Big Poppa Pump gets a shot?...."BECAUSE B!TCH, I ONLY NEED ONE SHOT....AND YOU KNOW IT"......b!tch?...really Scott, was that absolutely necessary?.....it's certainly a statement that rubbed Big Sexy up the wrong way, and he let Steiner know, shoving him hard in the chest, telling him that if he wants to go, Kevin Nash will happily show him who the real b!tch around here is..... ......Steiner pushes back back just as strongly, and we soon have an all out shoving match between these two men, with Scott Hall and Sean Waltman attempting to break up the squabble......meanwhile the Hart Foundation watch on in delight from the entrance way, clearly happy to see their Survivor Series opponents exploding before their eyes, as Jim Ross signs off on another episode of Raw...is War. "....because Shawn, if you don't have a contract with the Titans of Wrestling....if you don't have a contract with WCW....then bro, you can just stay at home and watch Nitro on TV like the millions of other losers are doing right now....because if you don't work here, then you ain't welcome here....." ....Russo says that if Michaels won't play by the Titan rules, then he can watch from the sidelines as the Titans dish out their own brand of justice.....because tonight, it's Titans Revenge, and the Titans are feeling particularly vindictive....he calls out the names of the wrestlers who came out at the end of last weeks show to prevent the Titan's from putting Diamond Dallas Page firmly in his place....he says that if they want to stick their noses in Titan business, then tonight they have to pay the Titan price..... ....and since we are (sort of) on the subject of Diamond Dallas Page, Hollywood takes the microphone to say that of all the people to win last weeks number one contender fatal four match, Hollywood couldn't think of an easier opponent that Diamond Dallas Page....he says that the Titans have been proving for months now that DDP is nothing more than a wannabe.....he WANT'S to be relevant....he WANT'S to be a star....he WANT'S to be thought of in the same breath as a Randy Savage....a Warrior.....a Hollywood Hogan..... "....well let me tell you something brother....you can WANT to be a mega star all you want dude, but when it comes to the world of professional wrestling Hollywood Hogan is head and shoulders above the competition jack....and just like the Warrior showed you at Halloween Havoc, the Icon of wrestling, Hollywood Hogan is going to show you again at Mayhem, that you just don't belong brother....." ....and just like Dallas Page doesn't belong, Hogan says that Shawn Michaels doesn't belong either....so if the pretty boy "rocker" knows what's good for him, he'll stay far away from WCW, and far away from the Titans of Wrestling..... ....Macho takes the microphone there, and while he's always been somewhat of a loose cannon, he's clearly not taken Shawn Michaels shunning of the Titans very well either....he basically emphasises what Russo and Hogan said before him, that Michaels made the biggest mistake of his life by rejecting the Titans..... .....and the biggest mistake is the biggest mistake, yeah, but if you show your face in WCW again, then that's a bigger mistake than your biggest mistake, yeah...." .....Macho says that the Titans are going to erase a few mistakes tonight....the Mega Powers of Professional Wrestling are going to put a bump in the road of The Road Warriors.....the Totally Awesome Trinity are going to squash three bugs, Big Bad Buff is gonna conquer the unconquered.....and The Warrior is going to send Rikishi on the first boat back to the islands.... ....Russo says that the Titans will have revenge tonight, when they make an example out of each and everyone who thought that they could stand up to the power force around here.... ".....so Shawn Michaels, watch and learn bro.....and remember one thing, you're only a footnote in professional wrestling history....a footnote who only had his fifteen minutes of fame because VINCE RUSSO made it happen......in the WWF I made you....but if you keep p!ssing me off bro, it'll be in WCW that I beak you....." ....with that it looks like the Titans have made their point, and they make their way to the back....well, except for the Warrior who doesn't seem to be going anywhere..... ....Russo tells him to come on, they're done here, but the face painted Titan doesn't budge, and stares a hole through the Booker Man until Russo finally takes the hint.....he says that Warrior doesn't want to be wasting any more of his precious time on that fat assed Samoan Rikishi than he has too....so Big Man, get that Big Ass out here right now.....because that match is next. Winner: The Warrior Rating: B </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="zJWRW9s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zJWRW9s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="598dEVe.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/598dEVe.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Rikishi gets dumped out of the ring by a cackling Buff Bagwell, who raises the Warrior's arm in victory.....if this truly is a night centred around the Revenge of the Titans, then they couldn't have got the night off to a better start, because Rikishi is a big, big, man to put down, but the Warrior has the victory, regardless of the dubious manner in which he earned it.......of course The Warrior isn't the only Titan in action tonight...... <img alt="MLBCNMR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MLBCNMR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> .....and much like The Warrior, it doesn't look has though Bill Goldberg has ANY intention of waiting around in the back when tonight's opponent is already in the ring..... .....that now familiar music begins to play, and the rookie (that Bobby Heenan has been casually dubbing 'da man on commentary in recent weeks) makes his way down the aisle, not even hesitating at the sight of two Titans inside the ring..... .....Schiavone says he's not sure that climbing into that ring with two members of the Titans of Wrestling stood there is such a good idea, while Heenan says that he doesn't think Goldberg would hesitate if there were twenty-two members of the Titans of Wrestling in the ring, let alone two..... .....he doesn't hesitate either....he climbs right through the ropes and walks straight up to the Warrior, staring him dead in the eye, while the Warrior stares right back in a rather tense moment that is only broken when Buff slaps his Titan pal on the back, telling the Warrior to head to the back, because Buff is going to break this chump in about two minutes..... .....Warrior slowly turns to look at Bagwell, with the expression on his face saying that he doesn't share Buff's confidence in himself with him, but at the end of the day he's had his match (and pay day) so if Bagwell wants to face the rookie by himself then so be it.....and after pausing for another brief face off with Goldberg, Warrior takes himself to the back, leaving Buff Bagwell to go one on one with the undefeated Bill Goldberg..... Rating: B+ </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="MLBCNMR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MLBCNMR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="598dEVe.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/598dEVe.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Titans Revenge Match Bill Goldberg has pretty much kept himself to himself since his arrival here in WCW.....he's had the odd limited programme, but even those have been against predominantly Tag Team wrestlers (The Amazing French Canadians and The Faces of Fear for example)....last week was his first real statement of intent, when he made his way out at the close of the show to stand shoulder to shoulder with his WCW peers, and by proxy, stood AGAINST the Titans of Wrestling..... ....that brings him to tonight, on the Titans revenge list and up against Buff Bagwell, who is quite possibly the biggest "name" he's faced to date.....sure Goldberg has picked up victories against tougher men (Meng and The Barbarian instantly spring to mind) but neither of those men are exactly in their prime, and they certainly aren't on the rise....Buff Bagwell however is just 27 years of age, and since aligning with the Titans of Wrestling, has seen his stock skyrocket from "one to watch" to an almost "can't miss" prospect.....he's a damn good heel too, because he's a cocky, arrogant, pr!ck that's easy to hate....I suppose you can kind of understand why he didn't think he'd need The Warrior to stick around to put an end to this little winning streak...... .....unfortunately, Buff found out exactly the same thing that 41 men before him found out the hard way.....one Spear and one Jackhammer equals one, two, three.....and after wins on Saturday Night and War Room (and despite Buff being anything but pleased to do it) it means victory number 42 for Bill Goldberg.....that's 42-0 for those keeping score at home.....and the Titans Revenge turns into Buff Bagwell's Nightmare, and we go to a hype package for WCW Mayhem, highlighting Diamond Dallas Page's first shot at the WCW Title. Well we know they are facing the Forgotten, we just weren't sure which members, but we soon find out that it's Kevin Sullivan and Bam Bam Bigelow stepping up to the plate (which means it will be Big Van Vader facing Jean Paul Levesque later in the evening).... ....all four men walk slowly past Michaels there on the front row as they make their entrances....The Rock has never faced Shawn Michaels, and neither (I don't think anyway) has Jeff Hardy, but these two have certainly seen up close and personal what Michaels can do.... .....The Forgotten however stop for a a good long look at Shawn....after all, he is the epitome of everything they are fighting against.....after Hardy, Rikishi, Rock, Storm, Copeland, Cage....even Levesque to a point....Shawn Michaels is just another in a long line of Titan Sports (former) employees looking to take their spot on the card....and they tell him as much, letting him know that they will take him out too, much like The Rock and Jeff Hardy are about to get taken out.....as Shawn is quick to point out however, he's not here to take anyone's spot....he's not even employed by WCW....he's just here to watch the show like everyone else in the crowd...... ....Sullivan doesn't believe him in the slightest....and unfortunately, for a man dubbed the Games-master because of his ability to play mind games with his opponents, his doubt of Michaels is to his detriment here, because while he is out on the floor (yet again for the umpteenth time during the match) giving the former WWF Champion a talking to, Jeff Hardy comes flying over the ropes with a Springboard Splash that sends Sully crashing into the crowd rail....and The Rock drops Bigelow with the Rock Bottom inside the ring.....Rock may be facing Vader at the upcoming Mayhem event, but tonight he's defeated Bigelow (and Sullivan) and that's got to put the momentum on his side. Rating: A </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="mwXZi05.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwXZi05.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> <img alt="eJzhsrp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eJzhsrp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="7SMKOYU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7SMKOYU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> So, Curt Hennig gets a second bite of the cherry here when it comes to challenging for the WCW United States Championship....he was quite literally one second away from capturing the gold at Halloween Havoc, until Eddie Guerrero took the phrase "Champions Advantage" to the limit, intentionally getting himself disqualified to save his title..... ....Eddie may well have thought that was that as far as Curt Hennig was concerned....Curt Hennig had other ideas....and so did Eric Bischoff, as the public face of the WCW Championship Committee made this match tonight official..... ....and so with much reluctance, Eddie once again puts the gold on the line against the man once christened as the "Perfect" superstar.....of course, if you ask Eddie, HE'S the Pappi of Perfection around here, and if you look at his laundry list of opponents since his championship reign began, he may be right..... ....Guerrero hardly fights this match fairly....flaunting the rules openly at times while encouraging the official to go ahead and disqualify him....perhaps because of the outcome of these two men's previous encounter however, this referee appears to be more lenient than usual, and because of this the two men find themselves pushing the boundaries on the outside, battling it out on the floor.... ......Hennig bounces Guerrero's skull off the ringpost, then drives his spine into the ring apron....the US Champion collapses in a heap on the floor, but Hennig has no sympathy, dragging Eddie to his feet and going to toss him back into the ring......except he doesn't....because Eddie reverses it, rolling Curt back into the ring as the official makes a count of nine..... .....Eddie looks at Hennig....looks at the official....smirks....and drops back to the floor clutching at his ankle.....and as Hennig shouts at the referee not to do it, unfortunately the rules are the rules.....and as that count of nine turns into a count of ten, again Curt Hennig defeats the United States Champion.....but again, one second was all that Eddie Guerrero needed, to walk out of here tonight as STILL the WCW United States Champion. Not so much.....this was a glorified squash match......Finlay, Juvi and Disco got some limited offence in, but it was exactly that....limited.....and Traylor picked up the pinfall at around the eight minute mark, after finishing off Disco with the Enforcer (Boss Man) Slam.... ....revenge has been dished out here, and thus far the only Titan with a blemish to his name tonight is Buff Bagwell, as the Totally Awesome Trinity head to the back (with Ray Traylor being sure to let Shawn Michaels know as they pass him, that the only reason he's not kicking his ass, is because Vince Russo asked him not to) and we go to commercial..... Rating: B+ </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="OTSoKN7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OTSoKN7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="SrYqADI.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SrYqADI.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Jean Paul Levesque is indeed in action next.....and since Kevin Sullivan and Bam Bam Bigelow competed earlier in the evening, it's probably no surprise to anyone to find out that his opponent is the former WCW Champion Big Van Vader..... ....JPL makes sure to go over and greet Michaels, as Shawn wishes his friend luck against the mountain of a man....Vader surprisingly is out all alone for this one, but we soon find out why, when Bobby Heenan informs us that his "sources" have told him that Vince Russo has ordered that the remaining Forgotten members remain in the back.....apparently Russo doesn't trust them to remain disciplined enough not to assault "member of the public" Shawn Michaels, thereby setting the lawyers on him and WCW..... ....Levesque has had some pretty good matches in the last 4-6 weeks....nothing groundbreaking (but then few WCW matches are....yet) but solid enough that he's been in the match of the night on a number of occasions.....this wasn't one of them....in fact this was pretty poor considering the names involved, but then Vader is about 5 years past his spectacular 1992 form, and some what of a fat piece of sh!t (heh, there's a Russo classic) which means he can't go too long before he's sucking air.....he still looks like someone you'd want to avoid in a dark alley mind you..... .....with a showdown with The Rock on the horizon Vader needed a decent showing here, and while the match wasn't great, Levesque actually made Vader look pretty dominating for a good portion of the match, crushing JPL with his (ample) weight....Corner Avalanches, Splashes and Powerslams were the moves of choice for this Big Man.....but with Shawn Michaels cheering him on from the front row, Levesque was able to fight his way back into this, and even got the Masked (muzzled) Man into position for the Pedigree....... <img alt="598dEVe.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/598dEVe.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> .....not that he got to hit it....because Buff Bagwell comes bounding out from the back, slides into the ring, and nails Levesque in the back of the head/neck with a clothesline.....ding, ding, ding....that's a disqualification folks..... Well.....the Road Warriors have had great (B+) matches with Mike Awesome and Gideon Cain, not to mention the near match of the night at Halloween Havoc when they fought Awesome, Cain, Copeland and Cage in a fantastic (A) match......Randy Savage has been arguably the highest rated performer since Russo's arrival, putting out more A graded matches that the rest of the Titans combined......so who does that leave?.....well, I'm not one to point fingers, so I'll let you draw your own conclusions..... ....needless to say the match suffered by a lack of selling (go figure) as these four men beat on each other.....the Road Warriors have had their problems with the Titans for the best part of four months now with the Titans determined to take those WCW Tag Titles for themselves (a feat that they finally accomplished at Halloween Havoc) and tonight they were successful again.....Hawk and Animal were always going to struggle since the entire Titans of Wrestling group were at ringside.....and it was Adam Copeland nailing Animal in the back of the head with the tag title belt that lead to the Legdrop of Doom for Hollywood, and the one, two, three for the Mega Powers of Professional Wrestling.....
