Chavo is in full-on cowardly heel mode early on as he does anything and everything he can to stall, trying to get under the Challenger's skin. "Sugar" Shane keeps his composure, however, and when the match finally does get fully underway it is with Helms in the driver's seat as he takes the fight to the Champion, securing several near-falls within the first few minutes of the match. Chavo finally buys himself a much needed break when he jams his thumb into Helms's eye, and from there the Champion starts wearing Helms down with solid mat-based offense that keeps Helms grounded and unable to employ his usual high risk brand of offense. This only works for Chavo for so long, however, as Helms, with the crowd rallying behind him, fights back into it. In desperation, Chavo tries to kick Helms between the legs, but Helms is able to catch Chavo's leg and step over it into an impressive spinning heel kick. Helms goes for a clothesline but Chavo ducks and grabs him from behind, looking for a german suplex, but Helms counters that right into a...NIGHTMARE ON HELMS STREET!!! "Sugar" Shane got all of that one and he quickly covers Chavo and...one...two...three!! We've got a NEW WCW Cruiserweight Champion right here at SuperBrawl!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Shane Helms defeated Chavo Guerrero at 7:43 by pinfall with a Nightmare On Helms Street. As the action goes back and forth in the ring, the announcers talk about how Chris Kanyon and Mike Awesome have felt for a while that they are ready to be major players in the tag team division in WCW, while KroniK have been inserting themselves into the Tag Team Title picture. Mike Tenay notes that a win here tonight, for either team, would be a huge step in the right direction--that direction being the opportunity to challenge for the Tag Team Titles. This is a solid match that seemingly can go either way, but the end comes when all four men end up brawling in the ring. Mike Awesome clotheslines Brian Adams--and himself--over the top rope, leaving just Kanyon and Clark in the ring. Clark whips Kanyon into the corner and goes to follow up with a big time clothesline, but Kanyon gets his feet up and into Clark's face. Kanyon charges, Clark swings, Kanyon ducks, spins, and...hits the Kanyon Kutter! With Adams and Awesome still brawling at ringside, Kanyon covers Bryan Clark in the ring and picks up a huge victory for his team.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Chris Kanyon and Mike Awesome defeated KroniK at 10:09 by pinfall when Kanyon pinned Clark following at Kanyon Kutter (C+)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="Z1DlA0N.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Z1DlA0N.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="TqDQ0Kz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TqDQ0Kz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="YJdjdt3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YJdjdt3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> As Chris Kanyon, Mike Awesome, and Stacy Keibler celebrate in the ring, we cut to the back where "Mean" Gene Okerlund is with a visibly upset Billy Kidman and Torrie Wilson. Kidman tells Gene that after what Juventud did to Torrie on Monday, he is going to make him wish that he had never been born. Kidman says that he understands Juventud wanting to make a name for himself, but what Juventud did went way beyond that. Kidman says that this isn't about professional wrestling--it's personal. The match starts off hot with all six men doing battle in the ring, with the faces eventually standing tall as they drive Sanders, Jindrak, and Stasiak from the ring. After regrouping on the floor, Shawn Stasiak re-enters the ring and with the help of a well-timed ambush by Mark Jindrak, The Invaders take control of the match as they begin to wear Konnan down. The dominance leads to several near-falls as Sanders, Jindrak, and Stasiak work excellently together, but they can't put Konnan away. This eventually comes back to haunt them as Konnan is able to mount a comeback and make the hot tag to Rey Misterio Jr., who starts cleaning house, taking on all three Invaders at the same time. BG James enters the fray as well, taking the fight to Mark Jindrak, and Konnan is able to rejoin the fight as well. We eventually end up with just Rey Misterio Jr. and Mike Sanders in the ring, and it is Rey who comes up big for his team, hitting his Springboard Hurricanrana and securing the pinfall victory here at SuperBrawl in what was a solid six man tag team match.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rey Misterio Jr., Konnan, and BG James defeated Mike Sanders, Mark Jindrak, and Shawn Stasiak at 11:36 by pinfall when Rey pinned Sanders with a Springboard Hurricanrana (C+)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="pbZkaFm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pbZkaFm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="TqDQ0Kz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TqDQ0Kz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="YJdjdt3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YJdjdt3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> From six man tag team action we move on to a rivalry that has gotten very personal very quickly as Juventud Guerrera goes one on one with Billy Kidman. The announcers quickly bring everyone up to speed about Juvi's actions toward Torrie Wilson this past Monday on Nitro, and that's about as much as they can say before Kidman goes on the attack as soon as Juvi enters the ring. Despite being a match between two of the greatest high-flyers in the world, this match features little to no actual wrestling and plenty of straight up, in your face brawling. Kidman is on the offensive for most of this one, with Juvi doing his best to escape the punishment. The match is cut short, however, as Juvi, in a moment of desperation, hides behind Torrie Wilson outside the ring. When Kidman approaches, Juvi shoves Torrie into Kidman, who catches her, but pays the price for it as Juvi kicks Kidman between the legs, causing this one to end with a disqualification.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Billy Kidman defeated Juventud Guerrera at 5:43 by disqualification (C+)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> As Juventud escapes up the entrance ramp, Tony Schiavone and Mike Tenay both blame Juvi for once again showing his true colors as the no good punk and coward that he is, but Bobby Heenan praises Juvi for choosing to live to fight another day rather than stay and potentially fight a losing battle here tonight.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="Z1DlA0N.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Z1DlA0N.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="YiAV5xv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YiAV5xv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> We cut to the back where "Mean" Gene Okerlund is hard at work as usual, and this time he is standing by with the man who will be challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship later tongiht; "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash. Gene asks Nash about the match, and Nash says that he's only got one goal on his mind tonight and that's walking out of here with the World Title--by any means necessary. Gene asks Nash about the mystery person who has been sending messages to Sting, but Nash simply says that whoever the mystery person is, he better not get in his way tonight beause he will regret it. <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="9umPviH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9umPviH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="epiwJ9r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/epiwJ9r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tjPJopW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tjPJopW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The Tag Team Title match is up next and "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett and "The Total Package" Lex Luger make their way out from the back, but much to everyone's surprise they are accompanied to the ring by Buff Bagwell, who is being wheeled down to ringside in a wheelchair by two attractive nurses. Once in the ring, and before the challengers come down, "The Chosen One" has a few words on his mind as he grabs the mic. Jarrett reminds everyone that he is "The Chosen One", he's the one with all the stroke around here, and he's the one who retired "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Jarrett says that tonight he and "The Total Package" are gonna beat some sense into a couple of slapnuts, and if O'Haire and Palumbo had any sense in their heads, they'd just come down here and lay down for the three count and save themselves a lot of pain and humiliation. Jarrett then hands the mic off to Luger, who asks the crowd to stand up and applaud the bravery and courage that Buff Bagwell is showing by being here tonight. Naturally, the fans respond with nothing but boos, which Buff pretends not to hear as he sits at ringside, and then Luger hands the mic back to Jarrett, who invites O'Haire and Palumbo to come down to the ring and get their humiliation over with. <strong>(A)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WCW Tag Team Championship</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="OQcwFPp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OQcwFPp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="9umPviH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9umPviH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="epiwJ9r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/epiwJ9r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="tjPJopW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tjPJopW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="1S9VfKR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1S9VfKR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rxMZSbm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rxMZSbm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> As the match gets underway, Bobby Heenan buys into Luger's words completely as he showers Buff Bagwell with praise for being out here tonight to support Luger and Jarrett despite the fact that he is dealing with a devastating knee injury. Mike Tenay brings things back on track as he points out that Jarrett and Luger hold a considerable experience advantage here, but the edge in youth and raw athletic ability goes to the challengers. This is very much a by-the-book tag team match, and a good one at that, as Jarrett and Luger use every trick in the book to maintain the advantage and get under the young challengers' skin. But O'Haire and Palumbo came here not only to fight, but claim the Tag Team Championships, and they prove themselves able to keep their cool despite the mind games being played by the Champions. The finish to this one comes when things finally break down, as they tend to do in WCW, and all four men are fighting it out in the ring--that is, until Sean O'Haire takes Jeff Jarrett and himself out of the ring with a huge clothesline that sends both of them tumbling over the top rope and onto the floor outside the ring. That leaves Lex Luger and Chuck Palumbo in the ring. Luger goes for the Torture Rack, but Palumbo is able to fight his way out of it to avoid disaster. Outside the ring, Jarrett sends O'Haire into the guard rail back-first, which draws the referee's attention and the two of them end up arguing outside the ring. Meanwhile, in the ring, Palumbo lines up for a Superkick on Luger...but a steel chair is suddenly smashed into his back from behind by....Buff Bagwell, who has gotten out of his wheelchair and is walking around on both legs seemingly without any issues. The referee never saw it, however, and Palumbo stumbles right into a Torture Rack, which Jarrett is quick to point out to the referee once Bagwell has returned to his wheelchair, and this one is over as Palumbo has no choice but to submit. The Chosen Ones just screwed Palumbo and O'Haire again!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Lex Luger and Jeff Jarrett defeated Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire at 11:15 by submission when Luger forced Palumbo to submit to the Torture Rack after Buff Bagwell got involved. The two go one on one tonight here at SuperBrawl and it is a decent-to-solid back and forth match that almost sees Sandman disqualified early on as he almost uses his Singapore Cane on "The Cat", but the referee is able to convince him otherwise. The finish to this one comes when Miss Jones is suddenly up on the apron, drawing Sandman's attention for just long enough that "The Cat" is able to get into position behind him, and when Sandman turns back to "The Cat", he turns right into a Feliner! The issue between Booker T and the Steiner Brothers has been going on for quite a while now, but it is just as intense as ever--if not even more so. Mike Tenay points out that the Scott and Rick Steiner are two of the greatest tag team wrestlers in the history of professional wrestling, the legendary Steiner Brothers tag team, but he also points out that Booker T is/was one half of Harlem Heat, another legendary tag team. That sort of leaves Dustin Rhodes as the odd man out but, as Mike also points out, Dustin Rhodes is one of the most promising up-and-coming wrestlers in WCW and he has no doubt that Dustin will be able to hold his own here tonight. This match does not follow the classic tag team formula at all, and the advantage goes back and forth throughout the match, with neither team able to maintain control for very long at a time. It makes for a great wrestling match and the crowd is fully invested from start to finish, and they are fully in support of Booker and Dustin.</p><p> </p><p> The action eventually spills out of the ring as well as Booker and Scott Steiner brawl all around the ring, proving once again that there is absolutely no love lost between these two men whatsoever. As Booker and Scott end up fighting in the crowd as well, Dustin and Rick Steiner go at it in the ring, with Rhodes earning a couple of near-falls on "The Dog-faced Gremlin", but he can't quite put Rick away. Booker and Scott Steiner never actually use any weapons against each other as this match is not a No-DQ match, but they do throw each other into just about everything they can until they finally return to the ring with both of them worse for wear. Order is restored and we get back to traditional tag team wrestling for a bit, with Scott Steiner throwing Dustin Rhodes all over the ring using a variety of suplexes to exert his dominance, even doing some push-ups at one point to mess with Rhodes's mind as well.</p><p> </p><p> Things break down again when Rhodes almost makes the hot tag to Booker T, only for Rick Steiner to run around the ring and pull Booker T off the apron before Rhodes can make the tag. Everything erupts into chaos once again as all four men duke it out again, with Booker and Rick Steiner now fighting at ringside. This leaves Scott and a worn-down Dustin Rhodes in the ring, and with Booker T busy with Rick Steiner, there is nothing he can do to help Dustin as Scott hits the Steiner Flatliner and pins Rhodes to secure the victory for the Steiner Brothers in a great match here at SuperBrawl.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Steiner Brothers defeated Dustin Rhodes and Booker T at 21:35 by pinfall when Scott Steiner pinned Dustin Rhodes following a Steiner Flatliner (A)</strong> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The disappointment is evident on Booker T's face as he enters the ring and watches as the Steiner Brothers make their way back up the ramp, victorious. They talk about the fact that not only is Sting versus Kevin Nash a huge match in its own right, but with the shadow of the mystery man hanging over the main event, you have to wonder just what the heck is going to go down in tonight's main event. Will the mystery man show up? Will he have an impact on the match? And who will walk out of SuperBrawl as the World Heavyweight Champion? All those questions are about to be answered because the match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is coming up next! <strong>(A)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WCW World Heavyweight Championship</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Sk5LgZj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Sk5LgZj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="7PSSM69.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7PSSM69.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="YiAV5xv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YiAV5xv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> It is the moment we have all been waiting for; Sting defending the World Heavyweight Championship against "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash. This is a match between two men who know each other very well, and it shows early on in this one as both men take their time and both men are careful to make any kind of mistake. Mike Tenay notes that neither man is likely to make very many mistakes at all, so that first mistake could prove to be the thing that determines the outcome of the match. After a slow start with some mind games and some stalling, Kevin Nash strikes first as he aggressively drives a knee into the midsection of Sting, then follows up with some brutal elbow strikes to the back of Sting's head. Nash then forces Sting into the corner where he works him over with yet more knee and elbow strikes, taking great care to frame that last, big elbow strike perfectly before delivering it. Nash then picks Sting up and scoop slams him in the middle of the ring, and then he slowly raises his arms in the air, looking for the approval of the fans but receiving a mixed reaction at best as the vast majority of the people in the crowd are firmly behind the reigning World Champion. Nash gets Sting back to his feet and delivers some big time punches, and then he picks up him on his shoulders and hits the Snake Eyes, before finally driving the Champion into the mat with a sidewalk slam, which earns "Big Sexy" a two count.</p><p> </p><p> After a rough start to the match, the Champion is able to gain his footing as he uses a surge of energy to unleash a flurry of punches and kicks on the Challenger, finally taking Nash off his feet by hitting a standing dropkick. Nash gets back to his feet, but Sting bounces off the ropes and drives him face-first into the mat with a one handed bulldog, which earns Sting a two count. The match goes back and forth for the next several minutes, the pace of the match remaining slow and methodical as both Champion and Challenger wear each other down. After stringing a few offensive moves together, Nash goes for the Jackknife Powerbomb, but Sting is able to backdrop his way out of it and now both men are down in the middle of the ring, exhausted from the grueling, physical matchup. </p><p> </p><p> With both men down in the ring, the lights in the building suddenly go out all at once, and when it comes back on again....</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="FrQBvDL.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FrQBvDL.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> RAVEN IS STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING DOING HIS SIGNATURE POSE!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Confusion reigns supreme as the announcers speculate that Raven must be the one behind the messages to Sting, but what is he doing back in WCW? With both Sting and Nash stirring in the ring, Raven exchanges a few words with the referee before leaving the ring to stand at ringside, and both Sting and Nash get back to their feet at the same time and they begin exchanging blows in the middle of the ring, neither of them aware of Raven's presence at ringside yet. Sting quickly becomes aware of his presence, however, as he hits the Scorpion Deathdrop on Nash, but when the referee goes to count the pinfall, Raven pulls him out of the ring and decks him with a right hand. Sting abandons the cover on Nash and a staredown ensues between Sting, standing in the ring, and Raven standing on the floor outside the ring. While this is going on, Sting doesn't notice that someone enters the ring from the opposite side...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="tnI8bWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tnI8bWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> This huge, masked individual stalks Sting and by the time Sting senses his presence, it's already too late. The masked individual grabs Sting and drives him into the mat with some kind of brutal, high-impact slam! (Black Hole Slam)</p><p> </p><p> Raven then enters the ring, pulls Sting to his feet, and delivers a devastating Evenflow DDT!</p><p> </p><p> With Nash stirring, Raven orders the masked individual out of the ring, and leaves he ring himself and rolls the referee back into the ring. Okay, SuperBrawl has been up for a bit and now it's time for the prediction contest results. The answers to the bonus questions were as follows;

What will be the highest rated match? Steiner Brothers vs. Booker T and Dustin Rhodes, who put on a hell of a tag team match

How many titles will change hands? 2 (World Heavyweight Championship and Cruiserweight Championship)

What match will open the show? Chavo Guerrero vs. Shane Helms

Who is the mystery person who has been sending messages to Sting? Raven (good job goes out to DGenerationMC who called this)

All of this means that the top three in the prediction contest looks like this;

The winner is Satyr24 with 29 hits

Crackerjack and Beejus ties for second place with 28 hits

And Henderson finishes third with 20 hits

Congratulations goes out to Satyr24 for picking up the win. Your prize will be in your inbox soon.

Also, the card for Nitro will be posted soon as well.

<p>Apologies for not posting about it earlier, but Superbrawl was done really well. Adding Raven to your mix, and right off the bat as a huge main event feud with Sting, is a great move, and Abyss makes a great monster roadblock to stand at his side.</p><p> </p><p>

The masked monster who debuted with Raven last night at SuperBrawl, Abyss, is in the ring as well, as are Crowbar and Daffney. Raven talks about his actions last night and his return to WCW, saying that people are probably wondering why he did it. Why did he decide to target Sting? Raven says that last time he was in WCW he wasn't treated fairly, and after spending time most recently wasting away on Sunday night b-shows for that other company, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Raven says that he's gonna take the biggest star, the biggest name, in WCW, Sting, and he's gonna reduce him to just another normal, shitty guy--which is what he really is underneath it all. " You know why I ended your World Title reign last night, Sting? Because I could. And do you know why I will make sure you never hold that title again for the rest of your career? Because I can! Torrie Wilson is at ringside to cheer Kidman on as usual, and she sees the former Cruiserweight Champion hold his own quite well against the talented Lance Storm, even surprising Storm with a couple of near-falls by utilizing his quickness and his never-say-die attitude.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="pbZkaFm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pbZkaFm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> However, the deciding factor in this one turns out to be Juventud Guerrera, who makes his way down to ringside to accost Torrie Wilson. This naturally draws Kidman's attention, and that is exactly the kind of mistake you can't afford to make against someone like Lance Storm, which Storm promptly proves as he catches Kidman with a superkick and pins him to secure a spot for himself in the Big Risk ladder match at Greed.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Lance Storm defeated Billy Kidman at 8:24 by pinfall with a Superkick after Kidman was distracted by Juventud Guerrera. Gene confronts Buff Bagwell about his supposed injury that kept him from competing last night, and Buff says that he was injured--but he's not "The Stuff" for no reason and his body is simply so strong that it healed sooner than expected. Gene says that Buff should have competed last night then instead of blindsiding O'Haire and Palumbo, but Buff tells Gene to shut his mouth because Totally Buff are still the Tag Team Champions and that's all that matters. "The Total Package" Lex Luger speaks next, telling Gene that what they did last night is called strategy, and that's exactly why they are the Champions--because they are the best. Gene asks if O'Haire and Palumbo will at least get a rematch, but Buff says that Eric Bischoff has told them that O'Haire and Palumbo have gotten all the chances they are going to get, so now they can go to the back of the line like the losers they are. An angry Chavo vows to win the title back at Greed, and then he walks off as Gene gives up on conducting the rest of the interview with "Sugar" Shane. <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> Before our next match, we swing briefly by the announce table where Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay, and Bobby Heenan hype up tonight's main event as Diamond Dallas Page will face off against Rey Misterio Jr. with a spot in the Big Risk ladder match at Greed on the line. They also discuss the history these two men have with each other, especially their recent battles for the United States Championship, and then Tony sends us back to "Mean" Gene once again, who is standing by with one of the competitors in tonight's main event. <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Z1DlA0N.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Z1DlA0N.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="hH12gGz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hH12gGz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> It is the United States Champion, Diamond Dallas Page, who Gene has caught up with backstage and Gene asks Page about his match later tonight. Page says that a guy like him--he's a legend. And he should be treated as one, especially by some wet-behind-the-ears punk like Rey Misterio Jr. Page says that after winning tonight, and after winning the Ladder match at Greed, he'll go on to Clash of the Champions and become a dual Champion by holding the two most prestigious titles in the business at the same time, proving beyond the shadow of a doubt that he is every bit the legend that he says he is. The big turning point in the match comes when Hugh Morrus misses a top rope moonsault and instead of hitting a match-ending move, he ends us shooting himself in the foot, so to speak, as Morrus never recovers from this and Kanyon ends up picking up the win, putting Morrus down with a Kanyon Kutter for the three count pinfall victory in what was a good match.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Chris Kanyon defeated Hugh Morrus at 7:52 by pinfall with a Kanyon Kutter. Scott says that him and his brother are the greatest team team in the world and Booker T was a fool for challenging the greatest tag team in the world to a tag team match. Steiner continues his ranting for a bit, mainly running down Booker T, but all that comes to an abrupt end when....<strong>(B+)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="O6ChwMw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/O6ChwMw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="xeqPtl1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xeqPtl1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Scott is suddenly interrupted as Booker T and Dustin Rhodes make their way out from the back to stand at the top of the entrance ramp. As Booker waits to the cheers from the crowd to die down, the announcers use that time to put all four men over for their efforts last night in what was a grueling battle at SuperBrawl. Booker T then gets on the mic and says that the Steiner Brothers may have won last night, but he sure as hell ain't done with them just yet. Booker says that he wants to settle things with Scott once and for all--one on one at Greed in a no holds barred, last man standing match! The crowd loves this idea, but Scott says that he's getting sick and tired of beating Booker T's pathetic ass all around the ring, so if he has to do it again at Greed, "Big Poppa Pump" is gonna make damn sure it's the last time! It looks like the match is officially on, but then Dustin Rhodes grabs the mic and tells "The Dog-faced Gremlin" that they haven't forgotten about him either, because Rhodes wants Rick Steiner in the ring at Greed! In the end, however, it appears that O'Haire and Palumbo have an extra gear that the Dragons just can't match yet, and they pay the price for it as Kaz falls victim to a double superkick and O'Haire covers him to pick up the win.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Sean O'Haire and Chuck Palumbo defeated the Jung Dragons at 10:17 by pinfall when O'Haire pinned Kaz following a double superkick (B-)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="YiAV5xv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YiAV5xv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Once the ring has cleared out, the sound of the Wolfpac music brings the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion, "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash, out from the back and down to the ring to a mostly negative reaction from the crowd, though "Big Sexy" does have his supporters as well. Once in the ring, Nash announces that "Big Sexy" is in da house, and he talks about once again being the World Champion, saying that he once again proved himself to not only be the biggest and sexiest man in the world, but also the baddest and the best. Nash says that life is all about taking advantage of your opportunities and that's exactly what he did last night--because that's the way the world works; you either stomp, or you get stomped on. And nobody stomps on "Big Sexy". And that is when Nash is suddenly interrupted as "Seek and Destroy" starts playing, much to the crowd's delight....<strong>(A*)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="7PSSM69.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7PSSM69.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Sting is out from the back and he joins Nash in the ring with a mic of his own. After an intense staredown, Nash reminds Sting that last night was nothing personal--just business, but it doesn't look like Sting is convinced. Sting calls it a joke that Nash can stand here and talk about being the baddest and the best when he knows exactly how things went down last night. Sting says that Nash might not have had anything to do with Raven doing what he did but he might as well have because they both have something in common; they are both cowards! This comment seems to get under Nash's skin and it looks like things are about to get physical, but then...<strong>(A*)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <iframe width="200" height="200" src="<a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7yu6-njAQos" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/7yu6-njAQos"</a> frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><p> <img alt="FrQBvDL.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FrQBvDL.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tnI8bWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tnI8bWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="5crDQaK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5crDQaK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="RBBYBSm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RBBYBSm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Raven's new music suddenly hits, bringing Raven and his new Flock out from the back to stand at the top of the entrance ramp. Raven stands at the top of the ramp, flanked by his new Flock members. Raven starts by congratulating Nash on winning the World Title, then promptly adding "you're welcome, by the way". Raven says that by the time he's through with Sting, the whole world will finally see him for who he really is; a son-of-a-bitch just like everyone else. Raven says that people think Sting's a hero, but what he really is...is a good actor. And as for Nash...Raven says that he should enjoy the title while he has it, by Raven's good graces, because one of these days that title is going to be wrapped around Raven's waist..."Quote the Raven...nevermore!" As Raven and his Flock returns to the back, Sting has made the mistake of turning his back on Kevin Nash in the ring, and Nash promptly takes advantage by blasting Sting with the title belt once he turns back around. Lance Storm and Chris Kanyon have already qualified, and now we find out if it will be DDP, Rey Misterio Jr., or Mike Awesome who will join them at Greed. Tony Schiavone calls Diamond Dallas Page the odds on favorite here, citing both his former accolades such as his multiple World Championship title reigns, but also his current run as United States Champion as evidence. Rey Misterio Jr. and Mike Awesome are both hungry for a main event singles run, which makes for a highly competitive main event matchup here as all three men leave it all in the ring. Back and forth we go, but in the end the finish comes after Rey Misterio Jr. reverses an Awesome Bomb into a headscissor takedown that sends Mike Awesome out of the ring and crashing into Chris Kanyon at ringside. Rey is slow to get up and DDP is stalking him, ready to unleash the Diamond Cutter as soon as Rey gets to his feet. Rey slowly turns around, Page grabs him and....DIAMOND CUT--NO! Rey is able to shove Page off and into the ropes! Page swins and misses wildly with a clothesline attempt, and Rey then catches Page by surprise, rolling him up from behind and...1...2...3!! • 1 year later...

So...due to personal reasons I obviously had to step away from this, but even I am surprised by just how long it has been. Over a year :eek:

I've been wanting to get back into it though, since I never intended for the break to be this long, but given that so much time has passed I'm wondering if there's even any kind of audience or interest in this at this point. I know the new game is out soon, but I really enjoyed this game so I'm unsure what to do.

So I guess this is me trying to gauge what level of interest, if any, there would be in a continuation of this Quest.

I'll be honest, I wasn't really sure what kind of response to expect, and I was half bracing myself for no interest at all, so I'm very encouraged by the replies so far. I very much appreciate the interest and I thank all of you for that interest and the kind words.

The Quest will definitely be continuing then. I might do some kind of "catch-up" post detailing the current feuds and major recent events to make it a little easier to follow...or maybe I'll just dive head-first back into things :D

If you guys have an opinion on which you'd prefer, I'd love to hear it. Either way, I need to refresh my own memory a bit on exactly where I was and where I was going, but I am really looking forward to getting back to it.

Good to hear you're still about buddy :) Hope you're safe and well.

Yes, absolutely yes.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. I was happy to see that you are still going strong as well, though I've got some serious catching up to do on your work :)
