WMMA5 Small Questions Thread

I'm adding a few custom fighters for my next playthrough and i'm stuck on assigning Backgrounds. The help file says "The Background Attributes are used when creating the upper limits for each fighter's skills." Can somebody unpack how that works? What happens if a pre-Peak-Age fighter starts the game with skills already over the limits imposed by their Backgrounds? Would they be unable to improve, actually start declining right away, or what? Also, does anybody have a rough idea of the numerical ranges allowed by the different levels? I've searched all through the forum and the few times this comes up everybody seems to already understand it. Much appreciate any help.

Is there any way to speed the game up, like at all? I'm playing on a real world database and the game is just mind numbingly slow between shows. On TEW you can remove regions you don't want simulated but it doesn't appear like any option exists on here unless I'm missing it (new to WMMA).

<p>Has anybody found that weight advantages aren't as significant as they should be?</p><p> </p><p>

Running some random openweight fights on the (with the RW mod) on the main screen and I'll have Atomweighs effortlessly hip tossing Bob Sapp at the opening bell, or clinching with Brock Lesnar and keeping him against the cage</p><p> </p><p>

Any way to make weight differences have more of an effect on how fights play out?</p>

I try not to change options to much that way its the most realistic as possible but this being in the game is very unrealistic. No one is going to say "No UFC, I'm not going to sign with you because I just signed a per fight contract with Tom's Backyard Attractions.</p>

Cage / Ring comfort deals with how comfortable a fighter is fighting in either a cage or ring. Resilience deals with how injury prone a fighter is. Heart deals with a fighter’s mental toughness during a fight.</p>

The only real important fight on the card is the main event, really, and it's fairly rare to see a main event tank so hard. Typically momentum, and the title being on the line, is enough to make any main event a decent main event, and the only real situations where it becomes fishy is when you have two foreign guys who have just debuted in the main event.</p>

how on earth do you know all these things! is there like a thread that explains all of the stats? also is there a way to make wmma5 smaller? finally having good menace/looks/marketability means in interviews the person does well, but what does this mean? do they gain extra pop? and does high marketability mean they are a better champ in any way?

I assume it's in options (the right part where you can edit the savegame).</p>
