Olback
Does this occur throughout the game? How do you book matches with fighters from different weight classes? Ie get my featherweight to fight a lightweight match? Is that what the catch weight category is for? I cannot see how this can be done on the booking screen
Remianen
Catchweight. Basically the fighters find a middle ground they can both agree on and go with that. I've had fighters request to change weight classes (due to losses at their natural weight) but that's about it. I've seen some stories about people changing weight to "revitalize their careers" but that's the same thing.

Ok cool, can they defend titles at that weight class? Does it still count towards their win/loss record?
Iwasfn47
If you click on the cell phone looking icon under the @ button on the left, you can go to "Your Office", which is a bit different then the "Website" home. In "Your Office", you can see a tab that says "Weight Classes"(6th tab on the top row). If you click on that tab, you can see which fighters are currently in each weight class, as well as what fighters are eligible to move to a new weight class. Most can move up a weight or two if you want. Only some can move down as they're already cutting their max weight. If you run a catchweight fight, they 2 fighters will meet in the middle(ie- 155er vs. 145er in a catchweight will take place at 140 in the game generally). Catchweight bouts do count for each fighters record. A fighter can win and defend a title in catch weight bouts as long as they can make the weight. This usually only works with a lighter fighter fighting up and winning a belt. IE- Catchweight bout between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic at 230 for HW title works. If DC wins, he remains a LHW(unless you change his weight class), and can continue to defend vs other HWs via catchweight bouts.
