She doesn’t get very far though before she is attacked from behind by Tessa Blanchard. Blanchard screams down at her about stealing her moment and stealing her spot. Tessa then drags Ray back to the car before putting her ankle in the door and slamming it shut! Tessa then laughs before turning and leaving as Kay Lee Ray screams in agony whilst a medical team flock to her. Segment Rating: 50 [/Quote] VS Toni Storm vs Thunder Kitty Since Toni Storm appeared in the front row at the last show, the excitement has been building for her to make her in ring debut and now it was time to see what she could do. Storm did not waste any time showing what she is about as she started the match with a string of brutal uppercuts followed by multiple German Suplexes. The match was completely one sided and it came to a sharp end when Toni hit a Strong Zero to pick up the win. Winner: Toni Storm Finish: Pinfall via Strong Zero Match Time: 7:47 Rating: 31 [/Quote] After the match Toni Storm grabs a mic and says that all of her achievements in the world of wrestling have been well documented and she won’t bother going through them again but now she has her eyes set on SHIMMER. Toni promises she will dominate this entire company like she has done everywhere and nobody will be able to stand in her way. Segment Rating: 60 [/Quote] SHIMMER Tag Team Championship Match VS Totally Tubular Tag Team © vs Jessicka Havok & Allysin Kay After a very successful run in the SHIMMER Championship #1 contender tournament, Delilah Doom is straight back into action defending her SHIMMER Tag Team Championships with her partner Leva Bates against Jessicka Havok & Allysin Kay. The brutish team of Kay and Havok took control of the early porton of the match wearing down Leva Bates and isolating her. The team of Kay & Havok did not work together well though and their lack of experience proved their downfall. Ultimately it was Delilah Doom who came through for her team when Bates managed to get a tag, before Doom hit a Delilah Doom's Excellent Adventure on Jessicka Havok to secure a win and retain the champonships. Winner: Delilah Doom Finish: Pinfall via Delilah Doom's Excellent Adventure Match Time: 12:02 Rating: 34 [/Quote] After the match, the lights shut off in the entire building and then a single red spotlight points to the entrance way. It is quickly filled by ‘The Demon Assassin’ Rosemary. Rosemary says that she wanted to bring down SHIMMER and plunge it into the decay and her first attempt failed, so she went back to darkness and there she was told there is another. There is another who understands Rosemary’s goal and wants to assist in the destruction… A second spotlight appears and outsteps a woman in a wedding dress covered in blood. Rosemary then introduces everybody to the ‘Undead Bride’ Su Yung. Rosemary then tells Delilah Doom and Leva Bates that they will see them soon… Segment Rating: 63 [/Quote] VS Cat Power vs LuFisto With all due respect to Cat Power she looked more than a little out of her depth against the veteran LuFisto and it quickly became apparent who looked favourite to win this match. LuFisto put on a clinic as she used all of her arsenal. She then brought the match to an end when she hit a Burning Hammer but instead of opting to pin she then locked in a LuFisto’s Law to ensure an emphatic submission victory. Winner: LuFisto Finish: Submission via LuFisto’s Law Match Time: 12:14 Rating: 47 [/Quote] After the match, LuFisto grabs a microphone and addresses the crowd. She admits the tournament didn’t go how she wants it to, but she is far from done. She goes on to say that Sara Del Rey is doing a great job with the company and there is more talent here that there has ever been, but she will fight her hardest to prove she deserves to be here with them. LuFisto finally thanks the fans for their support before leaving. Segment Rating: 58 [/Quote] VS Mercedes Martinez & Cheerleader Melissa vs Ayako Hamada & Nicole Savoy This match proved an interesting affair, both teams worked pretty well together and the match featured some of the very best wrestlers on the roster. Martinez and Melissa dominated the early proceedings by isolating Savoy. Nicole then managed to tag in a fresh Ayako who showed why she is one of the most dominant wrestlers In the world as she managed to really take it to Mercedes Martinez. Ayako secured the win when she hit a perfect moonsault to pin Martinez. Winner: Ayako Hamada Finish: Pinfall via Moonsault Match Time: 16:52 Rating: 57 [/Quote] After the match, Ayako and Nicole celebrate together. Nicole then leaves and as Ayako turns to leave, Mercedes pulls herself up and pulls Ayako back round to face her. Mercedes Martinez gets right into the face of Ayako and the two exchange words, Mercedes clearly not happy about being pinned by Ayako for a second time. As for Ivelisse, I will say I don't have any plans to bring her in yet but there is something I have in mind for the future where she could be useful, so we will see! Her Mae Young Classic match was decent if you have the network. But she also had a fantastic match in Stardom with Toni Storm last year that was one of my favourite matches of the year. The old school in me is just not into “totally tubular tag team” as a name. I have really not watched much of anything new lately save for some of the PPV's or whatever they are called now. I am enjoying the old school wrestling, even the jobber matches are more interesting than what is going on in WWE. When they got the F out, I didn't realize they would really do that when it came to the sport.
