1995 Draft Preview

<img alt="DguEAfb.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DguEAfb.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

The 1995 Mock Draft has us third behind the 76ers and The Timberwolves at 1. Hopefully we can land Garnett, but without him there is still other hope.

<img alt="HV2JE9B.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HV2JE9B.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

While overall Garnett is a rough package, he has amazing potential and surrounding him with a hungry, young backcourt to build around him would be the long goal of This draft year. It really depends on how the year is going and I'll look into getting some trades done to get some others in here.

<img alt="vMV6VQ7.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vMV6VQ7.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Sabonis already has his skills maxed out for him and while he would be great for a Frontcourt nightmare in The West, he is still a 29 year old Center that is only going to decline from right now. If I can angle with the 1st pick, Garnett is the pick. I'll pass over Sabonis if needed.

<img alt="JYUqQKn.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JYUqQKn.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Finley could be a franchise player on draft for us, but we are full at Guard. We have too many guards to count and Finley adds to a loaded position. Still, we could pick him up if he falls to us and trade him away for a pick or another young piece(Named Garnett) with a pick package.

Whole Roster/Roster writeup as of 1994 preseason

<img alt="BOtCF1N.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BOtCF1N.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Currently we have too many Guards and too many players. Look for some moves to be made once we identify issues.

Roster Writeup

Centers:

<img alt="xID3kTr.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xID3kTr.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

A bench player and a terrible on at that. His attributes speak for itself. Gonna be cut most likely.

<img alt="NQYEopm.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NQYEopm.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Average bench Center, but has a purpose and can be useful for us down the line. Not likely more than the Bench man. Has a job with us.

<img alt="Ez8un9M.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ez8un9M.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Good potential, but has some concerning attributes, most likely trade fodder for us in the season to gain Garnett.

<img alt="EizQJ1z.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/EizQJ1z.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Same as Martin. Most likely going to be cut.

<img alt="aoqUums.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aoqUums.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Decent overall, not the best but serves bench role and happy to give that to him.

Power Forwards:

<img alt="XhSATYu.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XhSATYu.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Release Fodder

<img alt="n21kt5I.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/n21kt5I.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

A keeper at PF and someone we might need going forward if Garnett doesn't work out for us. Not top thrilled with his stats, but if he improves for us there is zero reason for complaints. Gonna see how he works as not a focal point of our offense as we will rely on our Guards hitting jumpers.

<img alt="3nfn0iO.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3nfn0iO.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Defensive stopper off the bench, could be very useful in long playoff series, granted if we get there. Has a place on this team.

Small Forwards:

<img alt="ry9jKpk.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ry9jKpk.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

A good Small Forward with great potential, athleticism is in question, but we can work on it. Needs to be a beast on Offense for us to win games or even in the future. Hopefully his mediocre stats elsewhere is hidden by his Offense.

<img alt="GvwS0cv.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GvwS0cv.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Hardly anything special here for the offense I would run and has to earn that spot on the team, will come off the bench for us compared to our other Guards. Playing with our second unit would help him make small bursts off the bench.

<img alt="OC9Rrh2.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OC9Rrh2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Someone to build off, young and has the ability to shape our offense. Could be a vital part of our team down the line. Should improve and we should be having ourselves a franchise type Shooting Guard if it all works out.

<img alt="A6nQZQi.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/A6nQZQi.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Bench player, but with his skills on the offensive side of the ball, will most likely end up cut from the roster before the season starts.

<img alt="0CjsqXt.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0CjsqXt.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Terry has real potential as a backup and unfortunately we are so loaded at Guard, he may have to leave. It depends on how our first season turns out and the stats of certain guards, but Terry might be trade fodder.

Point Guards:

<img alt="OYMFz0f.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OYMFz0f.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

A bench player at most with potential for more, but most likely a bench player who we will use for his steals and quickness.

<img alt="VrmTo3N.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VrmTo3N.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

We don't got the best of Pooh, but still great handles and can pass, so the offense can be run off him for sure, just not a primary scorer.

<img alt="vwWJyrz.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vwWJyrz.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Bench Player, most likely getting cut.

Depth Chart/Gameplan for 1994 preseason

<img alt="dEwhZ7W.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/dEwhZ7W.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

As of right now, this is the depth chart we will be playing with. Lots of rotation and trying to share the ball between our many guards who hopefully put up some stats against lesser bench teams. The importance of this is trying to find some trades to angle and quickly with the sorry play of certain individuals if it comes to that.

<img alt="cvvFbyl.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cvvFbyl.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Our current gameplan relies on the three ball and moving the ball as quick as possible as we rely on Murray and Piatkowski to hit the ball and get us rolling into the season. I don't expect much but without more moves, this is the gameplan for us the upcoming season.

1994 Preseason Results

<img alt="NJ25XQz.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NJ25XQz.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Preseason Game 1

Dallas Mavericks 105 Vs. LA Clippers 108

We beat the Mavericks in a surprising win. Murray scored but was sloppy from Three and maybe we should tone down the three shots by bit. Happy with the guard play off the bench and it seemed to work as our guards played quite well and even with limited minutes we did good. Lots to be proud here. Sealy ends up with a concussion and is listed as Day To Day.

<img alt="CAvD2RM.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CAvD2RM.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Preseason Game 2:

Cleveland Cavaliers 100 LA Clippers 92

We drop a game to The Cavs as we just don't put in the time nor effort to do much of anything. We did a lot better from three, but made turnovers and couldn't put the ball into the net as well as the Cavs were, plus funky rotations here and there.

<img alt="7GVMx4r.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7GVMx4r.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Preseason Game 3:

Orlando Magic 120 LA Clippers 101

A terrible game from long range from us, we are highly inconsistent from the arc and Shaq and company torched us for an easy win. Quite disappointed in the team right now and the rotation funkiness needs to be sorted out. I get we are a lottery team, but our stats were just awful. We are not this bad. Eric Riley is also day 2 day with a brusied jaw as soon as Sealy comes back. Phoenix offered us a trade for Piatkowski in exchange we get Perry, I will consider it as I would like to get better at Guard down the line, but I don't know if Perry is the answer to that.

<img alt="VY7fOZQ.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VY7fOZQ.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Preseason Game 4:

Milwaukee Bucks 107 Vs LA Clippers 78

Embarrassed to say I run this team right now. We got torched again and man does that score look ugly.

We missed all four shots, nothing else to say about this except we suck at getting that ball into the net. God we need some help for this upcoming season. San Antonio wanted Gary Grant and offered Willie Anderson. Rejected it outright as we don't need another Shooting Guard on this team.

<img alt="44iVWjj.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/44iVWjj.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Preseason Game 5

Minnesota Timberwolves 115 LA Clippers 126

We beat our biggest rival in the hunt for Garnett so it doesn't mean much, but still good performances all around and some real improvements from the team. Murray took over and we need him to do that for the rest of the season, become the mini average LBJ that we need to maybe win and lose some games on time for the draft. KG we will get you.

<img alt="5IVvRgq.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5IVvRgq.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Preseason Game 6

Chicago Bulls 120 LA Clippers 119

We almost beat a title contender in the Bulls here, forced MJ to put up 50(No idea why he was playing this game like it is the regular season, but sure). I'll take this result seeing as how we expect Mike and Scottie to make a run at the NBA title down the line, I'll be here posing in secret for the Draft Lottery and watching the Playoffs. This ends the preseason, lets get into the transactions.

Two semi big trades for us here. We ship away a SG to a Eastern conference contender who are stacked at Guard as of now in exchange we get a good Point Guard in Murdock who I can base a offense off. I wanted a Point Guard to do some things with a possible Center and Hopefully Garnett down the line. Our second trade sends a average Point Guard in Pooh sent sent to The Kings and a second rounder down the line for a 29 year old Center in Olden who will tear down on the boards. Really excited for these two and Glad to be done with so many guards and loose ends.

All star Break Results

AllStar Break:

<img alt="FKDdbf5.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FKDdbf5.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

As we get to the All-star break, The LA Clippers are actually doing better than anyone thought. We are not a bottom tier team as our trades before the season have paid off. Pooh has managed to my expectations as he averages 10 points a game with The Kings while playing 30 minutes a game. The Bucks are underperforming as Sealy gives them 5 points on 14 minutes of playtime. Our home record is superb and this season hasn't gone too terribly for us. I guess we won't need Garnett because we could become a playoff contender this season and going forward with the right Offseason.

The Leaders of Each Division are as follows:

Atlantic- Orlando Magic lead here as expected and this wasn't unexpected of them this season

Central- Chicago Leads this easily without question, Jordan and Pippen are looking to dominate.

Midwest- One of the best division races going right now and Dallas doesn't lead as San Antonio takes control.

Pacific: Seattle dominates as The Lakers and Golden State try to catch up.

Gary Grant

Terry Dehere

9th Overall Pick in the 1995 NBA Draft

1995/1996 2nd round picks

LA Clippers Receive:

1st overall Pick in the 1995 Draft

A big trade, but one that is worth it for us. We lose two unhappy guards who rotated in and out for us. I believe in KG to lead us to the promise land and two unhappy role players are good enough for me to allow that. We have a young and promising core and hopefully Murdock resigns with us in FA. Plus if we drafted from where we are, we would have gotten a decent Power Forward but not KG level

Our overall roster looks pretty decent, with how top heavy the West we sneak into a 7th or 8th seed as of now or become a lottery team again and roll the dice into moving around Murray who won't be long for us. Skiles was my only FA pickup due to a mistake on my part in not going after a proper Small Forward, but we should be fine overall. Gonna look into giving Garnett many minutes and hoping he gets better on the fly for us.

Woah, didn't expect you would run through the season so quickly. First thing that confused me were player roles for pre-season games, but as I see now, you found the root of problem haha. How are training camps working for ya?

Houston not even making the post season, contrary to them sweeping Shaq and company in real life, wow. And holy crap Bucks jumped a lot of places in the lottery. Good luck in the upcoming season!

Yeah I wanted this season to go by fast just so we could get through and see the world develop. The training camps are doing well as I have seen some improvement in stats and hiring some better coaches for the situation. This 2nd season and those following should be more slow and thought out since I sense we can make it out of the West. In the case of Houston not making the playoffs, the whole midwest surprised me with their average play, but it is the most loaded of the divisions so far. The Bucks have somehow managed to become a below average team with their team, who knew Mitch Richmond and Jon Barry with the deepest bench in the league they would be a lottery team.

Pretty uneventful preseason and some pretty crazy offseason moves to go over soon. Probably in the division review.

1995-1996 Division Predictions

Atlantic Division-Orlando Magic

<img alt="FC6ayi6.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FC6ayi6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<img alt="Glqduyn.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Glqduyn.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Penny and Shaq look to go back to back here, but the East is stacked and Ewing and Jordan of the Knicks spell toruble

Central Division-Milwaukee Bucks

<img alt="vDOacR1.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vDOacR1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

A team loaded with guards and conflicting roles, literally just Robinson who can carry them. A Bulls team with all the tools and a Scottie carrying them has much to think about and challenge.

Midwest Division-Dallas Mavericks

<img alt="nLAbYOw.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/nLAbYOw.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<img alt="DTB2XGR.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DTB2XGR.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Triple J look to live up to their lofty expectations, but the midwest is quite competitive.

Pacific Division-Los Angeles Laker

<img alt="7rS77QP.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7rS77QP.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Van Exel and Jones look to glory for LA, but Seattle is still here to play and maybe just maybe The Clippers can sneak up

Murray and Piatkowski are killing it for us, but the others are not picking up their end of the deal to be fair. Bucks underperforming again. this team has like 5 guards, 3 SG and 2 PGs all of whom should start and they signed one in free agency.
