An absolute tag team exhibition between these two fantastic teams. The four members of The Ring Generals and The Mavericks have won 20 Tag Team Titles between them. Of course, Dean Waldorf and Marv Statler have 7 as a pair, having been a team for almost 13 years. They struggled to begin with in this one though. John Maverick is a deadly striker, and Waldorf couldn't handle it. Statler waited on the apron, but was getting impatient, and he had to save Waldorf from being pinned a number of times. Eventually, Waldorf was able to hit a butterfly suplex on Julian Watson, and then scratch and claw his way to his corner. He tagged Marv Statler in to the match, and things changed dramatically. The group of fan favourites stood around Steve DeColt, who was struggling to even stand up at this point... and thanks to POISON's new 'Throat Chop' finisher, Ricky DeColt could barely talk... He did manage to say that since he and Steve

in the Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup, they'd be throwing their support behind the team that knocked them out: Bad Reputation...

Ricky DeColt's comments brought his older brother Alex DeColt onto the stage... The NOTBPW General Manager found Ricky's comments confusing... He asked why The DeColts wouldn't support their family members, Jack DeColt, and Alex's son Logan DeColt... Ricky and co. rolled their eyes... They would obviously not support Jack and Logan after the way they, along with Alex, have treated them... Alex said that all he does is try to give them opportunities... and he has two HUGE opportunities for the group right now... Firstly, 'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt will go 1 on 1 against 'The Monster' Gargantuan NEXT WEEK!! In a first time ever meeting!! And also, tonight, Alex wants to see Dan DaLay, Derek Frost, and Robin DaLay team up, to take on three opponents of HIS choosing!!

Having both won their Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup Qualifiers last week, BOTH of these duos qualified for the Quarter Finals, which, along with the Semi Finals and Final, will take place in less than two weeks at the Ed Henson Memorial pay-per-view!! Thanks to the recent unveiling of the Tournament Brackets, we now know that these two will face each other IN the Quarter Finals!! All four men are friends, and there is a healthy respect between them... Things were a little awkward, and nobody wanted to address the 'elephant in the room'... The segment ended with all four men wishing the others good luck... Speaking over each other, and then The Ring Generals making a swift exit!!

Dan DaLay and Derek Frost began well in this match, but Robin DaLay was the one targeted by his opponents. Sayeed Ali and Akima Brave seemed to be on the same page, and were able to work together well, and isolate Robin in their corner. Erik Strong 'Though' didn't seem like he wanted to get his hands dirty, and rarely ventured into the ring unless he had to. He delivered a well-placed stomp or two, but left the heavy lifting to his partners. Strong was forced in when Dan DaLay got the 'hot tag' though. DaLay made sure of that by throwing him in the ring from the outside! For the finish though, it was Sayeed Ali throwing people about, and he won it with his 'Uppercut Palm Strike' on Derek Frost, who didn't know what hit him!

Backstage, Alex DeColt was watching some footage supplied by Cameron Vessey and Christian Price, who were stood watching with him... With the video, Primed For Progress hoped to prove that Aldous Blackfriar used an illegal choke hold to capture the NOTBPW Tag Team Titles from them back at Big City Brawl... The 'Batwing', which Aldous has been using for a long time, looks to be legal, but on that night, Aldous' forearm was right across Christian Price's throat, and 'The Stud' was choked out!! Vessey and Price were visibly, and audibly furious... They demanded action from Alex, who had two outcomes...

Alex DeColt:

“Firstly... pending an investigation, the 'Batwing' will be BANNED until further notice, and if Aldous Blackfriar uses it, he will automatically be stripped of the NOTBPW Tag Team Titles... Furthermore... next week, you'll get a re-match against Mayhem... 2 on 2... for the NOTBPW Tag Team Titles!!”

This was an excellent match, between two talented performers. El Fuego showed his technical prowess, and flew around the ring with a quick and frantic pace at times. James Hernandez was able to slow Fuego down, and keep him on the mat by focusing on his left leg. In the end, El Fuego's mask got in his way. Hernandez had turned it around a little bit in a headlock, and as Fuego adjusted it, Hernandez exploded with his 'Apparition #14'!

'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn headed to the ring next to a huge ovation from the fans... They chanted 'DON-TE DUNN' over and over again as the young Barbadian stood and soaked it in... He scratched his chin, and then told the fans that he was out there for one thing, and one thing only... He was out there for one MAN... and one man only... and that man, was Jonathan Faust... The 'Saviour of Wrestling' arrived in NOTBPW back in October, but he was supposed to be a commentator... Dunn was angry because Faust entered the Battle Royale at Big City Brawl, and eliminated him from the match!! Faust wasn't on commentary tonight, and Peter Michaels and Tom Townsend said they hadn't heard from him...

Donte Dunn:

“It's okay Faust... It's okay man... I just wanna talk... I have some things I wanna say to you, and I wanna just... talk... So I'm giving you seven days notice... meet me in the ring next week, and let's talk...”

The American Blondes made their entrance next, as they prepared for their Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup Qualifier, against Sonny Wildside and a partner of his choosing... Wildside has as yet not named a partner, but he arrived on the stage... 'The Man Without Fear' started off by saying that he asked James Hernandez to reform their team from last year, but 'Mr. Main Event' said no... In fact, almost everyone Wildside asked said no... Wildside surmised that it could be down to his opponents in the Qualifying round... Solomon Gold... and the three time winner of the tournament The Natural!!

Sonny Wildside:

“I don't fear anyone... So I'm not afraid... But it seems nobody else wants to fight a former 3-time winner... a former 4-time NOTBPW Tag Team Champion... like The Natural... and I get it... I do... But who better, to fight a guy with those accolades... than ANOTHER guy, with those EXACT accolades...”

The Natural's former tag team partner OWEN LOVE joined Sonny Wildside on the stage!! 'Dr. Love' has spent over six months on the shelf, following an injury in a Triple Threat Ladder Match back in June 2017, but he's back!! He has the same accolades as The Natural, because they teamed together to win them all... The Natural looked genuinely shocked to see his best friend march to the ring with Wildside... but when he got in the ring, Natural walked right up to him, and they shared an embrace!! Much to the delight of the fans!! But then things separated, and the match began...

It was amazing to see Owen Love return to NOTBPW, after six long months, and change. He started the match, against Solomon Gold, and the two battled hard to try to gain the upper hand. Love managed to tag Sonny Wildside without Gold realising, and soon 'The Man Without Fear' hopped into the ring, and controlled the match! Love and Wildside looked like a well-oiled machine in there, and it was only a late flurry from The Natural that swung the momentum to the American Blondes. Natural and Love were in there together at the end, and the crowd chanted for them to fight. There was a moment of tension, but Wildside was the legal man, and he hit a beautiful dropkick to Natural. Love tagged in, and won the match by hitting his 'Love Gun' on The Natural, and pinning his former partner!!

'Angry' Tom Gilmore was stood backstage with Timothy Weightman next... The backstage interviewer asked if Gilmore had heard what Bryan Vessey had to say last week, and the veteran said that he had... He said he doesn't fear 'The Living Legend'... and that he's met grapplers like him before... People who think after being beaten once already, that they deserve another chance to test themselves against the best in the world... And Vessey took it to another level... The disrespect Vessey has shown in recent weeks has shown exactly what kind of MAN the American is...

Tom Gilmore:

“He wants to use my own move against me...?! Well I've gotten rid of people like him before... People who think they can stop me from getting what I want... Next week... I'm going to show him I am the best, when we have an 'Arm Bar Challenge'...!!”

Tom Gilmore explained the rules of the challenge... He told Bryan Vessey to bring 'The Enforcer' Tim Westybrook along... and Gilmore can try to lock the big man in his 'Anger Management Arm Bar'... He'll have sixty seconds to apply the move... Then, once the Arm Bar has or hasn't successfully been applied, it'll be over to Vessey to attempt the same move on Gilmore... Whoever locks in the move the fastest wins the challenge...!! Simple as that...!! The announce team suggested that Gilmore could be making a big mistake, as he'll no doubt turn his back on Vessey during the challenge...!!

Gino Montero and John Maverick hit each other hard in this match, and it was a real coming of age performance from the young Mexican Gino. Fourteen minutes that absolutely flew by, and fourteen minutes that Gino won't forget in a hurry. He walked out with a large welt on his left shoulder, and swelling under his eye, but he walked out with the win. Gino hit his 'Destiny Explosion' finisher on big John Maverick to score a big victory.

Earlier on tonight, we saw what we

thought

was the biggest shock return of the night... 'Dr. Love' Owen Love came back to NOTBPW after over six months on the shelf, following an injury from back in June 2017... The injury came during a Triple Threat Ladder Match, where Love was representing the CanAm Blondes (alongside The Natural)... The other two teams in that match were Primed For Progress (Cameron Vessey and Christian Price) and World's Most Wanted (Jacob Jett and Thrill Seeker)... Interestingly enough, Jett was also injured in the same match, with the same injury!! Jack DeColt and Logan DeColt headed to the ring first here tonight... closely followed by the return, of World's Most Wanted!! The crowd exploded, and nearly took the roof off the building when Jett and Seeker's music hit!!

Not the highest rated match of the night, but the crowd were certainly at their loudest here! 'The Amazing' Jacob Jett is such an exciting fighter, that every single person was on their feet at both his arrival, and when he tagged into the match late on. Jett started off by taking down the brawler Jack DeColt with a flurry of running kicks and a springboard forearm that left the 'Wild Man' on his back! Then the fan favourite turned his attention to Logan DeColt. The two men had never met up to this point, because Logan came in the month after Jett got hurt. Jett cocked his head and just went right for Logan! In the end, with Seeker taking care of Jack on the outside of the ring, Jett was able to hit a chokeslam on Logan, and drag his opponent to his corner. He then hopped up onto the top rope, and delivered 'Jett Take Off' to score the victory!

We took a look at the final Brackets after the first round of Qualifiers for the Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup... World's Most Wanted were the final team to qualify for the Quarter Finals, and will battle the NOTBPW Tag Team Champions: Mayhem in less than two weeks... Backstage, NOTBPW General Manager Alex DeColt was shown watching the action on a TV monitor... He looked disgusted that his Brother Jack DeColt and his son Logan DeColt were eliminated from the tournament already... and now there are NO DeColts left standing!! A fact that his long-term rival Dan DaLay found hilarious as he walked up behind the man who calls himself 'The Mind'...

Dan DaLay said that now there are no DeColts OR Stones left in the tournament, it's wide open for a different tag team to win it... Maybe a tag team with a different Canadian Family represented... Bad Reputation (Dan DaLay and Derek Frost) are still standing, and will face Primed For Progress in the Quarter Finals... A furious Alex DeColt said that Bad Reputation had better go all the way and win the entire Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup... Because if they don't... He will FIRE them both!! DaLay was now furious too, and he got in Alex's face, but the General Manager called for security, and DaLay was soon escorted out of the office by three huge security guards to end the show...

The only real 'news' story this week is that Owen Love and Jacob Jett are BACK in NOTBPW!! It's been a long six months and two weeks, but they're back, and now my tag team division looks STACKED!! The top three teams all competed in that ladder match back at Mid Summer Madness 2017 (World's Most Wanted, The CanAm Blondes, and Primed For Progress), but I now have the next level of tag teams who have been built up over the last six+ months... The ultra talented Ring Generals... The team involved in the top storyline in the company of the last 2 years: Bad Reputation... and the current NOTBPW Tag Team Champions: Mayhem...!! Not to mention The Mavericks, and newcomers The Coast To Coast Connection!! Then Wade Orson and Ernest Youngman have a team building slowing... The DeColts (Steve and Ricky) and the other DeColts (Jack and Logan), AND Hotstuff coming in from developmental for the Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup!! Things are looking up for the tag team division, and all of it just in time!!
