Diabolo80
I'm currently working on a litte program that combines three png files (background, the worker, overlay) into a single jpg that can be used in the game. It allows you to choose the background style (including overlay / border - for example the kyky-background and a 1px black border as the overlay) and a set of worker pics with the option to have a logo displayed between the background and the worker (for example the WWE Logo behind Cena on Fleisch's background). My question would be if there is a general interest in something like that and if there is what features it should have? At the moment i have the following features included: export to subfolders in tool (sorted by style): - single style or all installed styles - single worker or all workers - single pic per worker or all pics as alts export to game (creates the pics as a picture pac in the game called TEC): - single worker or all workers - single default pic per worker or including alts - single random pic per worker (no alts) I'll add screenshots once i'm home from work. BasicThuganomics
<p>I probably wouldn't use this myself, but it sounds great and I'm sure it'd come in handy for a lot of people playing TEW.</p><p> </p><p> Looking forwards to seeing more, good work!</p>
Diabolo80
It's funny you say you would not use it, because your Brand Split Pack made me do it Essentially you only make the png of the worker you want in the pack, click "generate cuts" and wait 2-3 seconds to have it on all your backgrounds (i did not use all of them for the screenshot). https://picload.org/view/dopwcrww/2018-06-19.png.html https://picload.org/view/dopwcdgr/2018-06-162.png.html https://picload.org/view/dopwcdga/2018-06-163.png.html
auto45
I'd use it
Larrikn
id definitely give it a go
MarslArts
<p>I really appreciate the effort but I'm a bit confused.</p><p> </p><p> Isn't TEW already doing that automatically with gifs?</p>
Diabolo80
<p>If i recall correctly it shows the promotion logo as a Background behind GIFs which, while similar, is not the same thing. The advantage of the way TEW does it is that the background is not fixed and adjusts when a worker goes to another promotion. The disadvantage is that it does not really look that good because of the limitations of the GIF format.</p><p> </p><p> What i'm doing is using PNGs (which do not have the same quality-limitations that GIFs have) an create the JPGs the game uses. The upside of this is that the images are of better quality and more flexible in what is used as a background / overlay. You can define "sub backgrounds" (see the right hand side of the screenshots where is says "female" so that Fleischs background for women gets used in the last screenshot) for specific workers. You can not only put promotion logos behind the workers but stable logos, tag team logos, personal logos and so on. You can also change the overlay to be something different than just the border (think belts of your champions, a different border for hall of famers etc.) and you can easily switch between different backgrounds when you feel like it or if you find a new background that you like without re-doing or re-searching hundreds of Pics. </p><p> </p><p> The downside is that the backgrounds do not automatically change when someone goes to another promotion and if you export a large number of pics it may take a while.</p>
CreeperGav
I'd be interested, any thoughts on when a public release will happen?
shawn michaels
I would most definitely use this.
Peria
<p>So it basically cuts the image for you? Is that what I'm reading?</p><p> </p><p> Sounds useful.</p>
Diabolo80
<p>@CreeperGav: i would guess i release a first version in 2-3 weeks. At the moment it's functional but not convinient to use and i have limited time to work on it.</p><p> </p><p> @Peria: It does not cut the workers out of a photo <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
Fleisch
I will definitely give this a go when released. Looks like it could be a bit of a time saver to be honest.
smw88
I think this could be a real time saver too, looking forward to trying it out
Diabolo80
Very early version with a lot of things still missing, but i guess you can get the impression on how it works from it: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AupMlnJVZm3ZnwKrVedmwgH3tygA Screenshot: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AupMlnJVZm3ZnwRrTkqghrIUYQrd What works at the Moment: - It exports the Images to the subfolder images/_export/<backgroundstyle> - The background is based on the gender and hall of immortals status of the worker - The File Names are based on the selected Database What you have to do: - Set TEW2016 folder - Set Database (if it gives errors at startup try editing the config.xml in the app_data subfolder) - Select the Image Style you want (i have a few included to show how the format works) - Copy PNGs with transparent background to the /Images/Workers/<imagestyle>/<workername>(/<alterego>) subfolders (i have included an image of cody and one of stardust to show how it should look) Again: very early version with a high probability of crashing or not working. Diabolo80
<p>Okay, i added a few things. </p><p> </p><p> - You can now add images via drag & drop, you don't have to copy the imges manually anymore.</p><p> - The images get a small drop shadow because i think it looks better.</p><p> </p><p> Basic HOI Image:</p><p> <img alt="BRL0Y0Q.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BRL0Y0Q.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> You can choose to show the company logo for Workers that only work for a single Company:</p><p> <img alt="BtQRdXq.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BtQRdXq.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> If you want you can choose to show the brand logos instead:</p><p> <img alt="AjkQkZv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AjkQkZv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="YUZpVvQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YUZpVvQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It is also possible to have stable logos shown:</p><p> <img alt="4ng1f53.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4ng1f53.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> As you might have noticed in the Images above it is possible - if you use a Savegame for the data - to show the heel/face status and/or the push of the people with only a single contract (regardless of what kind of contract it is, all that is taken into consideration is that they are only working for one company)</p><p> </p><p> At the moment i have a few problems with stability, for some reason the tool tends to crash without any rhyme or reason - have to fix that before i release a new version with those features included.</p><p> </p><p> Note: Image Quality lowered by Imgur compressing them after upload.</p>
