Smooth and Ramone certainly seem to notice similarities, but well they are a bit too caught up trying not to be overwhelmed by the tandem of Firebird and JOJI. JOJI eventually gets cut off with Smooth and Ramone getting control. They do well to keep him away, but he slips free at one point and tags in Firebird who starts going town. Something very similar to a Smart Attack nails Ramone and takes him out of the room and Firebird his Austin with another. Glad we found Firebird though who will serve as a good replacement for a veteran talent like him. He more than held his own in a match that involved three of our top guys and they group gave us one of our best matches. The rest of the card is what it is. Blaze and Mario had a bad night that was capped off with Mario botching a suplex and it looks like a strained rotator cuff for Blaze that takes him out of action for a few months. Blaze is not really happy with Mario and the two probably won't be on the best terms for awhile. Admittedly given our style I am surprised this is the first real injury we have had since starting up. Hopefully we won't have another for a long while. The rest of the card was just giving the new guys experience and seeing what they could do. California Kid is really the only one I have seen in action so he was given a win over one of our gatekeepers in Fearless Blue. Getting closer to the Manitoba Cup which has me excited. Only one more show to go between now and then.</div></blockquote>

Austin Smooth and JOJI. When this all began Smooth stood out to me as a star in the making. Someone that at a young age already looked so good and he went out and proved that to me every time he stepped out into the ring. JOJI was brought in because he was cheap and I thought he would fit in decently enough. Admittedly I figured he would be a guy that would help out the middle of the card like Fearless Blue. This was also at a time where I was very high on Daredevil Aero.

Instead it was Aero that was high and JOJI started to prove himself. He got the fans behind him and wasn't going to let anything hold him back. Even being gone for several months he hasn't missed a beat and has put on fine performances back to back months since his return. I put faith in him back at the first Manitoba cup along with smooth and they gave us our best match to date. A few have come close, but I still put this at the top. Now it is time to put my trust into them again. Call me selfish, but I want these two to stay with us for as long as we are in business. I want them to take us to the top.

I go with here since you tend to cycle the challengers so next time might be some time away though I could certainly see a DQ win or something else that gives JOJI a reason to get a rematch sooner rather than later.

El Medico: "Same guy you had make the other title. He does good work."

I have to admit I felt pleased. Harry has done so much and for once I wanted to surprise him. At the start of the year I really wanted to add another title given the roster is expanding and I figured a tag title might be a good addition. Our number of actual teams is small, but well this isn't going to be a title that draw's a lot of focus so we can get away with just presenting it here and there.

El Medico: "I figured it would be nice to add something to the next show. Sure the cup is the focus, but this just makes things feel a bit more special. Not only do we have a new champion for the Manitoba cup, but also our first tag team champions."

Harry: "You are really growing, my friend. I feel I did the right thing in picking you."

El Medico: "I...thanks. That means a lot."

So I may never find stardom. I may never be on television. Here I am wanted and appreciated. Sometimes in life that is all you need. Sure I am young and I can move on, but it doesn't feel like a need at this point. I could wind down and spend the rest of my career here and not be disappointed. I don't know if this Manitoba Cup will be as good as the last, but I am damn well going to try to top the last one.

I could see El Sepiente going over just to promote the fact that outsiders could go further than 1st round in the tournament but Kid has been quite impressive so far so it´s time for me to start backing him up a bit more.

Fearless Blue vs Mario Heroic

Heroic gets a win here in order to bounce back after his loss to Kid.

Ricochet Ramone vs Jules Night

Ramone is higher on the pecking order.

Kid Fantastic vs Firebird

Hardest first round match for me on quite a big margin. I could see either guy winning but Firebird has been more impressive in his two matches with tag win over Smooth and Ramone following a triple threat win while on the same time, Kid followed his impressive win over former two time´s champion with no show and losing to Firebird in the three way match so Firebird seems like the hotter guy at the moment in terms of momentum despite the big win that Kid got just three shows ago.

Firebird vs California Kid

Two guys who have won more than I would have expected lately. I still go with Firebird, mostly because I see his wins as slighly higher caliber but this could easily go either way.

Ricochet Ramone vs Mario Heroic

It tells me good things about dept on your roster when I´m having this hard time figuring who would advance, espesially with guys like JOJI and Mercury not even being in the tournament. That said, I echo seemingly everyone else here and have Ramone going forward as you had said that you would want to push him but he haven´t really gotten that many big wins lately so big result (I do count getting into finals a big result on it´s own) here should help him get the right track.

Firebird vs Ricochet Ramone

Here´s were I pick differently than other´s. Winner here ain´t likely to beat JOJI as he just won the belt and you don´t seem to have face/heel divide going (might be wrong here, I don´t recall if that was said somewhere or not) so Firebird could be a great one of title challenger and I feel that winning the cup would benefit him more than Ramone who already has a title run under his belt while Firebird would get his first big accomplishment if he win this one.

Kong & Medico lost the last time these two teams met but I just don´t see Maraguchi being ready to carry a belt even if Mercury certainly would be.
