<p>Oooooh, predictions. Plus I'm learning things from reading this thread, which is exciting for me. I also didn't know that the Young Lion thing was a specifically NJPW thing, though I guess it makes sense since I've also heard them referred to as Young Boys.... which, for obvious reasons, just sounds a bit weird to me. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

My predictions are roughly just me picking anyone with potential over anyone without. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Imported all the broadcasters from CV97. Lowered every single broadcaster by one size (for many it doesnt matter because of pop requirements) and made it so that anyone can get on them. PGHW were the first to really take advantage and are broadcasted almost worldwide now. I won't be taking advantage of it but I look forward to seeing how chaotic it gets and if companies are able to survive longer. </p><p> </p><p> ---------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="color:#A0522D;">BHOTWG The Burning Path in Yokohama 2016 - Results & Review:</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods</strong></p><p> <strong>The Burning Path in Yokohama</strong></p><p> <strong>January, Monday Week 1, 2016</strong></p><p> <strong>Kanagawa Stadium</strong></p><p> <strong>Watch:</strong> HYBOSO & BHOTWG International</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> 325K buys, 53K subscribers</p><p> <strong>Attendance:</strong> 30,000 <span style="color:#FF8C00;"><strong>Sell Out!</strong></span></p><p> </p><p> Tetzukan Kaneko made an announcement earlier in the day before The Burning Path in Yokohama that audiences worldwide would be able to watch the inaugural event of the BHOTWG year and the ‘modern era’ of the company. The subscription service which costs 999 yen isn’t expected to draw much more than 50K subscribers both because of the late notice and because this is the first time BHOTWG has made any real effort to cater to an international audience. They’re still expected to make most of their money from their new PPV deal with HYBOSO, and from the 30K attendance because this is a big transitional night following Night of the Burning Hammer. The Burning Path keeps the extremely long ramp from Night of the Burning Hammer and the uncomfortable and unwieldy Burning Throne is in full view at the top of the stage. Mitsuhide Muro was on commentary as usual, and taking color duties is Hidetada Kozu, usually relegated to smaller events. Toru Minamoto, the recently appointed head booker, didn’t come out till the main event to replace Muro.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="wZfQlMR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wZfQlMR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="XABwMwf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XABwMwf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs. <img alt="KcnbYoQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KcnbYoQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="yewBsEW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yewBsEW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Kazunori Yamura & Toju Munkata vs. The Rebellion (Natsu Miyamae & Shimedzu):</strong></p><p> The Rebellion reuniting is always a special occasion. They faced off against Hinote Dojo’s PUNK NASTY Club although they were introduced individually here, Yamura with the generic Burning theme. Munkata still had Yamura’s back and they shared equal offense and worked pretty much as smoothly as their veteran opponents. Experience won out though and Miyamae hit the Miyamae Spoiler (Scoop Brainbuster) in just over 8 minutes for the win. <strong>- C</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="bHUqUcQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bHUqUcQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="DBpqZQd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DBpqZQd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs. <img alt="xAUGNn7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xAUGNn7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="XQu8zDS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XQu8zDS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Hachigoro Maeda & Haru Kurofuji vs. Sanetomo Shiraishi & Tetsuji Nishimoto</strong></p><p> Maeda & Kurofuji who once held the Burning Junior Tag Team titles together didn’t miss much of a beat teaming up tonight although it was clear Kurofuji isn’t the same Junior he once was. Sanetomo Shiraishi didn’t participate much in this match as the sole heavyweight of both teams. The one time he got in the ring, he bullied Maeda & Kurofuji. Nishimoto, the young boy, was in the ring for most of it thanks to some clever tagging and isolation by Maeda & Kurofuji. Maeda pinned Nishimoto with the Beta Blocker (Muscle Buster) in 9 minutes. - <strong>D+ </strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="pXjjvyX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pXjjvyX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="2fNusp2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2fNusp2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs. <img alt="ObXTJRN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ObXTJRN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="rm3BeK0.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rm3BeK0.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Bairei Yasujiro & Crimson Ghost vs. Helikaon & Hijo del Relampago</strong></p><p> Crimson Ghost continues to receive a negative reaction from Burning loyalist whilst teaming with Bairei Yasujiro and facing off with indie darling Helikaon “The Burner” and luchador import Hijo del Relampago. All four wrestlers provided a pretty fast paced opener. Yasujiro wasn’t keen on teaming with Ghost and often told him to go back in the ring when he sought a tag despite needing a break. For their part, Helikaon and Relampago weren’t as unforgiving with Ghost as most of their fellow wrestlers considering they’re both outsiders for the most part as well. Hijo got the pin just before the 10 minute mark by hitting Relampago Blanco (Samoan Driver) on Ghost. Despite Yasujiro’s distaste for Ghost, the two worked pretty well with each other. - <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0pyVMWZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0pyVMWZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="fXtau0F.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fXtau0F.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="52XoD67.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/52XoD67.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs. <img alt="95DkLvu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/95DkLvu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="34TdOQ7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/34TdOQ7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="Ta7m46K.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ta7m46K.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Eisaku Hoshino, Masakazu Kaima & Reijiro Hiraki vs. Java, Ninja Shunji & White Samurai</strong></p><p> Hot off his defeat at Night of the Burning Hammer for the Burning World championship, Hoshino was bruised but highly motivated in this match. The Juniors kept up a fast-pace against each other and certainly didn’t slouch but this was Hoshino’s match and the crowd loved him. His exchange with Java was great and his fighting spirit moment was in full force against the much bigger man who couldn’t handle Hoshino’s tenacity. The clever ending sequence saw Ninja blind tag on Java, and get simultaneously blind tagged by White Samurai while Hoshino was doing work on the “Inhuman Indonesian”. Ninja springboarded off the rope only to be caught and dropped with a death valley driver. Samurai tried to take advantage and hit The Art of War (Diving Clothesline) but Hoshino had that scouted too, avoided it and Samurai crash landed atop Ninja. Hoshino hit the Godzilla Plunge (Diving Knee Drop) on Samurai at under 11 minutes for the win. -<strong> C+</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>Hoshino grabbed the microphone after the match and praised Kaima and Hiraki as talented juniors. He also complimented how tough Java is. He turned his focus to Tadiyuki Kikkawa and assured the crowd he wasn’t done his pursuit for the Burning World championship. It may not be at Test of Prophecies but Hoshino would have his shot at “The King”.</em></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0WIVccA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0WIVccA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="abUxLUj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/abUxLUj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="T3y3JN8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/T3y3JN8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs. <img alt="LGYOmfB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LGYOmfB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="kdrwPxL.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kdrwPxL.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="r74PVhY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/r74PVhY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>American Panther (American Optimus & Red Panther) & The Incredible Koyama vs. Hyosuke Kokan, Jin Miyamoto & Kansuke Konda</strong></p><p> Two 3X Burning Junior Tag Team champions in this match, and in the case of Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda, current. Jin Miyamoto gets to team with the champ while The Incredible Koyama pairs up with American Panther. The crowd were clearly behind Miyamoto and the champions. Miyamoto took the spotlight from his partners with his “endless senton” sequence, hitting several consecutive running sentons on Koyama. Unfortunately, he was also the one to get pinned when American Optimus caught him at the top rope with the Ozone Sky Flier (Spanish Fly) after fourteen minutes of fast-paced action. American Panther looked really good and have to be one of the teams in line for a Burning Junior Tag Team title shot after this win. - <strong>C+</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="h7wwKb2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/h7wwKb2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="iDVBh06.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iDVBh06.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="MoJtm7G.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MoJtm7G.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="Dt8YR1C.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Dt8YR1C.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs. <img alt="H25SCK2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/H25SCK2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="851311K.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/851311K.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="SD64Vjd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SD64Vjd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="rxcwiwv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rxcwiwv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Elemental III, Golden Scorpion, Marihito Masuko & The Awesome Kiyaru vs. MYSTIC Dragon, Sensational Dragon, VENOM & Yoshii Shiomi</strong></p><p> This is a match full of accomplished Juniors with plenty of past title reigns between them, and the rivalries between each wrestlers and pairings were played up in 15 minutes of action, that, after the preceding six-man tag, took a steadier pace but was no less good. Sensational Dragon & Marihito Masuko stole the show in this one, with their rivalry taking clear focus and pretty much all indications pointing to another singles match between them in the near future. The tag teams were a step behind but took the focus of the finish when VENOM locked in the Sting in the Tail (Triangle Choke) on Golden Scorpion and forced the veteran to tap out in 15 minutes. <strong>B-</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>VENOM & Yoshii Shiomi had the microphones in the ring after the rest of the Juniors cleared ringside. They boasted about making 3X Burning Junior Tag Team champion, Golden Scorpion, tap out. They saw the match before them and want a chance to further prove that Kikkawa’s Army (Yoshii seemed afraid of VENOM calling him a part of Kikkawa’s Army without official acceptance) also runs the Junior division, they want a chance at Hyosuke Kokan and Kansuke Konda. VENOM & Shiomi weren’t he best on the mic but they delivered their message adequately.</em></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="okovZ36.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/okovZ36.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="fs4RxQ9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fs4RxQ9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="6Whdq6S.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6Whdq6S.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="to0ks8J.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/to0ks8J.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="Q46ilec.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Q46ilec.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs. <img alt="sHqYnPO.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sHqYnPO.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="eCoQzvh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eCoQzvh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="jPbzwfG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jPbzwfG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="cZmYuJQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cZmYuJQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="9noW5zi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9noW5zi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Chuichi Sanda, Eiji Hamacho, Gonkuro Kamioka, Murai Enomoto & Tadakuni Toshusai vs. Kinnojo Horri, Matthew Keith, Mitsunari Fugunaga, Taro Shionoya & Tatsuya Toshitala</strong></p><p> A colossal ten-man tag team match between a wide variety of veteran, main event, and rising heavyweights. Toshusai and Horri really took it to each other with Toshusai being particularly bitter about their defeat at the hands of NEO the previous night. Fugunaga going head to head with Kamioka and Enomoto and making them realize they had a while to go before they reach his level of toughness was a highlight, his demand that they hit him harder ended with them falling flat on their backs when he retorted with vicious lariats. Second-generation star and indie darling Matthew Keith was a highlight and you’ll have a hard-time convincing anyone he isn’t a future main eventer either here or anywhere else in the world. If he was a Hinote Dojo product let alone a native, he’d be first in line to dethrone Kikkawa. He regularly frustrating Sanda & Hamacho with his slick technical wrestling and surprising toughness. The end result came when Toshusai hit the Shock Treatment (Snap Double Arm DDT) on Tatsuya Toshitala in just over 15 minutes to win the match. - <strong>B-</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>Tadakuni Toshusai held back Chuichi Sanda and Eiji Hamacho after the match once everyone else had cleared. He grabbed a microphone, and passionately proclaimed that he wasn’t done with NEO. Putting together 3 stars to fight 3 stars wasn’t the right strategy at Night of the Burning Hammer, as good as Horri and Nakasawa are. Instead, he’s found two wrestlers who work perfectly together and combined are better than most two individuals, no matter who they are. Sanda and Hamacho have been responsible for ending BOTH of Black Magic’s tag title reigns, and Toshusai KNOWS he's better than Ino so he’s making an official challenge against NEO right now for Test of Prophecies.</em></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="yUn9rT6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yUn9rT6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="1lOnS1J.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1lOnS1J.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs. <img alt="hh5m79c.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hh5m79c.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="llmp7qs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/llmp7qs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Kikkawa’s Army (Heihachiro Sakai & Hirokumi Saito) vs. Ieyoshi Shimakage & Ryushi Sato</strong></p><p> Another heavyweight match, this time pitting “Sun-Kissed” Sakai & Saito against Ieyoshi Shimakage and “Golem” Ryushi Sato. Shimakage and Sato had a clash of ideologies and about halfway through, Shimakage just abandoned Sato. It was pretty easy for Sakai and Saito to pick up the pieces and Sakai pinned Sato after the Sakai Suplex in 11 minutes. Sakai and Saito who don’t get along very well, continue being successes as a tag team pairing. Sakai was the clear cut best performer in this match. - <strong>B-</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="ojCFIaS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ojCFIaS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="IaGsArd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IaGsArd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs. <img alt="At4o4r7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/At4o4r7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="5j9d6tC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5j9d6tC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Atsumori Takemura & Hiroaki Nakasawa vs. Nissho Yuasa & Toshiki Shibanumo</strong></p><p> Another short match here, mostly to accommodate Shibanumo who has no business with a title and should really be wrestling young boys next to Sanetomo Shiraishi. The veteran was sloppy here and probably the worst performer of the entire night. Yuasa’s exchanges with Takemura were great, and Nakasawa had to interrupt the “Baby Elephant” bullying his protege because Takemura's desire to live up to Nakasawa would not allow him to willingly give up the brawl. Yuasa didn’t have nearly as much fun when he had to face off with the meanest and toughest man in the roster. “Aitch” won the match in just under 10 minutes by hitting the H-Bomb (Elevated Sit-Out Powerbomb) on Shibanumo. -<strong> C+</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>After the match, Nakasawa made it a point to have Takemura shake hands with Yuasa and Shibanumo, and likewise do the same himself. Yuasa was disinterested but Shibanumo convinced him to do so. It’s an odd moment. Although the story goes that Black Magic are responsible for Nakasawa’s injury in early 2014, it’s common knowledge that Yuasa’s carelessness caused it, and he was in ill-graces on the roster for a while because of it.</em></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="VYZTu3O.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VYZTu3O.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="F1rLueI.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/F1rLueI.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="iMnhbI9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iMnhbI9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs. <img alt="xYLhAjs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xYLhAjs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, <img alt="rPP2TLr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rPP2TLr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> & <img alt="cB85UgG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cB85UgG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Kikkawa’s Army (Masaaki Okazaki, Tadiyuki Kikkawa & Tasuku Iesada) vs. NEO (Koshiro Ino, Yasuhiko Taira & Yasunobu Masuno)</strong></p><p> The big main event of the evening. This match has happened three times last year but each time resulted in disaster for President Kaneko and BHOTWG because NEO would walk out of the match. Kaneko threatened NEO with a 6-month suspension if they were suspected of intentionally losing this one by the referee. It wouldn’t have been the first time Black Magic were suspended but the 6 month duration may have been going too far for them. What we got was a great 20 minute main event that easily was the best of the night. Cracks in Kikkawa’s Army continued to show, not because of dissension but because all three men simply are over 40 years old and have been doing this for a combined 76 years, a full quarter-century over NEO. They've been through many wars and Kikkawa's Army is a battle-scarred army. This extremely hard-hitting match culminated in the first time Kikkawa looked a step behind during his entire reign, courtesy of “The Prodigal Son”. Ino seemed to have the legend scouted out perfectly and the Kobra’s Strike (High Knee) to the back of Kikkawa’s head left him vulnerable for Ino to hit the Kobra’s Bite (One-handed Electric Chair Driver). Instead of going for it, Ino kicked at Kikkawa’s head, mocking “The King” and even spitting at his face when it was clear he was going way too far with the most brutal man in wrestling. When Ino pie-faced Kikkawa he received a slap hard enough to knock him down and senseless. Ino got back to his feet only to be turned inside out with the Kikkawa Lariat. - <strong>B</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>Black Magic helped Koshiro Ino to the back but the man’s nonchalant smile did not leave Kikkawa the least bit pleased. Kikkawa ordered the Burning Throne be brought to the ring. The young lions Crimson Ghost, Tetsuji Nishimoto and Kazunori Yamura had the task of bringing it. Hirokumi Saito was forced to help after Sakai justified his getting the pin in their match. The young lions had to do the long trek down The Burning Path and quickly tired by the end, they struggled even harder getting it into the ring while Saito barked orders, something Yamura didn’t take kindly to, even if Ghost felt the brunt of it. They eventually managed to get it into the ring and for their effort, Saito kicked Ghost out of the ring, Nishimoto and Yamura hurried out before they could get the same.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> Kikkawa sat on his throne with his Generals at his side and Saito (gassed) and Sakai as well. “The King” wore his crown and reflected on the new era for BHOTWG, stating that new era or not, The Burning Path would still begin and end with Tadiyuki Kikkawa as it has for the last twenty years. Another outsider challenged him, and another one fell, this one without much effort. He insisted that Kaneko should quickly give up on Ino, the outsider who doesn’t even want to be here, because as they just saw, he would be even more pathetic a challenger than Hoshino. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> His State of Affairs was abruptly interrupted by “Aitch” Hiroaki Nakasawa. “Aitch” came out with his protege Atsumori Takemura, and surprisingly, the Burning World Tag Team champs, Toshiki Shibanumo & "Baby Elephant" Nissho Yuasa. Kikkawa’s Army stood before Tadiyuki, ready for a possible war. Nakasawa had a mic of his own and claimed that facing Ino taught him something, to beat Kikkawa’s Army, Nakasawa needed an army of his own, this is “Nakasawa’s Army”. Nakasawa pointed out that since Kikkawa became champ he’s beaten Hoshino, Khoklov, Java, Fugunaga, Horri - far too many times -, and Toshusai but he hasn’t beaten “Aitch.” The only right opponent for Kikkawa at Test of Prophecies is Hiroaki Nakasawa, there is no other option. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> Kikkawa raised the microphone to his mouth, snorted and said “Boy”, in return, before Kikkawa could finish his intentions, Nakasawa charged him with a kick so hard Kikkawa fell over with his heavy throne. The bell rang immediately to dispel whatever brawl was about to ensue but fortunately, Kikkawa’s Army and Nakasawa’s Army did well to stop either man from taking it too far, from Kikkawa’s face though, it was clear Nakasawa, like Ino earlier, had taken it too far, and the price for that had been a vicious display earlier.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p> <strong>Final Show Grade:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> A solid show for a PPV that lacked any big singles match. The main event more than delivered and the showdown between Nakasawa’s Army and Kikkawa’s Army is enough reason to tune in. No one’s going to look at Nakasawa’s Army and think it matches up to Kikkawa’s Army though, and they’ll have to do more to legitimize them.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45692" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Hopefully this is a good combination of easy to read and easy to write. Well, I don't know if I want to start a diary at all. I started that one SWF diary, but it fizzled out kind of quickly because I realized I wasn't adequately prepared. So that was a joke on my part. Also, I never expected a megapush for Helikaon or Matthew Keith, just a slow, steady build over the course of this diary.

Well, there's no harm from starting one even if it dies quickly xD

The Burning Path in Yokohoma 2016 interview highlights on OnDem -

In an effort to continue reaching out to international audiences, BHOTWG released post-match interviews with English and Japanese subtitles. Some brief highlights from the interviews:

- Natsu Miyamae & Shimedzu claimed they aren’t teaming full time, and it was just a case of the card shaping up that way that they ended up as a heavyweight / junior in position to face another heavyweight / junior pairing. Toju Munkata has claimed that he’s working his way up to heavyweight class.

- Helikaon & Hijo del Relampago claimed they were impressed with Crimson Ghost, and feel that Yasujiro pairing up with him might be better than the way he’s currently being treated. On the possibility of Helikaon and Hijo Del Relampago teaming further, they said they don’t mind working together but haven’t really discussed becoming a permanent pairing, perhaps once they figure out their positions on the roster after the Best of the Super Juniors.

- Hiraki & Kaima were happy to be teaming with a legend like Hoshino, and they hope they can continue some positive momentum in the Junior tag team division, and maybe enter title-challenging talks. Ninja & Samurai argued and Java just walked away after roaring at the pair.

- American Panther claimed they should be first in line for title shots after beating the Burning Junior Tag Team champs tonight. Koyama says 2016 is his coming out party and he’s climbing his way up the Junior ladder. Kokan & Konda praised American Panther but claimed Miyamoto was pinned. They relayed that Miyamoto performed well but he has to balance being entertaining with getting the job done like they have.

- Kiyaru & Scorpion admitted they took a step down the division by getting pinned in their four on four. They’ve fallen down the ladder before though, they’re experienced and they’ll climb back up. Marihito Masuko & Elemental III’s part were interrupted by Sensational Dragon & MYSTIC Dragon, with Sensational leading the charge, he claimed that if Double Dragon paired up, they’d have Burning Junior Tag Team belts too, the only reason they don’t is because they’ve always been in the Burning Junior picture whereas Masuko and Elemental III had to settle for less. Masuko & Elemental III were eager for Double Dragon to prove it and proposed a tag team match for Lords of the Ring, Sensational was hesitant but MYSTIC gladly accepted.

- Kinnojo Horri has to wonder if he’s missed a step or not. He failed to end Kikkawa’s reign in 2015, and ended the year failing against NEO as well, and now he couldn’t lead a very talented team to a victory. Keith and Toshitala disagreed - mostly Toshitala spoke so Horri and him could properly understand each other -, Toshitala says that him and Keith want to prove themselves and proposed that they also challenge NEO to a three on three match for Lords of the Ring. Horri agreed with the idea. Fugunaga and Shionoya claimed they were unimpressed with Toshusai’s team, and the victory solely came as a result of Toshusai taking advantage of Toshitala’s experience. He couldn’t pin Shionoya or Fugunaga, of that there is no doubt. In fact, they would love to prove that on Lords of the Ring.

- Heihachiro Sakai talked about how much of a walk in the park that match was. Their opponents didn’t really stand a chance against Kikkawa’s Army, Saito emphatically said no one does. Sakai wonders if him and Saito should go challenge for the Burning World Tag Team belts, Saito said he’d rather team with Iesada or Okazaki. Ieyoshi Shimakage rushed through his interview to avoid being confronted by Sato, he blamed Sato for not listening to his advice, so Shimakage decided to boycott the match. Sato dismissed Shimakage’s betrayal, he has no time for cowards, he just wants another chance against Kikkawa’s Army.

- “Aitch” didn’t have much time for an interview. He claimed Shibanumo and Yuasa were great competitors tonight and explained he would not be challenging for the Burning World Tag Team titles. He has one purpose, ending Kikkawa’s reign. Shibanumo was very appreciative of Nakasawa’s respect while Yuasa was a bit more dismissive about the demonstration, if Nakasawa refused to have a rematch with the Burning World Tag Team titles on the line, it might be because he knows he can’t pin Yuasa. Shibanumo told him to be more diplomatic but Yuasa walked off.

- NEO got back for an interview first. Koshiro Ino sarcastically talked about how tough Kikkawa’s Army is and how brutal “The King” is. He says that we really got to see the king’s justice. He wondered; however, if Kikkawa was mad because Ino spat in his face, or if he was mad because for the first time, “The King” was at someone else’s mercy? When told about the challenges of Toshusai & Horri for Test of Prophecies and Lords of the Ring, Ino seemed unaware and disinterested in the challenges. He laughed at the fact that so many people want to challenge them you’d think NEO won tonight.

- Kikkawa’s Army concluded the interviews for the night. Okazaki spoke for the army to berate Hiroaki Nakasawa for his disrespect. He claimed that Nakasawa saw what happened to Ino, Kikkawa beat some respect into him. If Nakasawa thinks that putting together a makeshift band of wrestlers unfit to even be in the same ring as Kikkawa makes for an army, he’s badly mistaken. Kikkawa’s Army is on top because if Kikkawa wasn’t Burning World champion, it would be Iesada or Okazaki, or little Sakai, or Saito, they are the absolute five best in the company, make no mistake of that. Okazaki said there would be NO title match for Nakasawa, he has not earned it. Kikkawa stopped him and disagreed, he has to establish that there are consequences for going up against Kikkawa’s Army. “The King” will face “The Boy” Hiroaki Nakasawa at Test of Prophecies for his Burning World championship, but the Burning World Tag Team champions would likewise face - Sakai looked hopeful - Kikkawa’s generals Tasuku Iesada and Masaaki Okazaki for the belts at Warrior Globe. They would understand why The Burning Path belongs to Kikkawa’s Army.

Confirmed for Test of Prophecies Card:

  1. Chuichi Sanda, Eiji Hamacho & Tadakuni Toshusai vs. NEO (Koshiro Ino, Yasuhiko Taira & Yasunobu Masuno)
  2. Burning Junior Tag Team Championship: Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda © vs.
  3. Burning World Championship: Tadiyuki Kikkawa © vs. Hiroaki Nakasawa

--------------

Still trying to figure out how too best format everything. The interview highlights will probably be briefer going forward. Especially for smaller events like Lords of the Ring. Unless there's a significant match on Lions of the Ring, I don't believe they'll get much more than surface results. Juniors occupy most of the opener/enhancement talent roles to start so expect to see them more frequently on Lions of the Ring than Lords of the Ring.

I think the formatting is perfect and I definitely love the effort put into the post match interviews, really helps show the personality of the descriptions that you wrote leading up to the start of this, keep it up.

Atsumori Takemura & Toju Munkata vs. Gonkuro Kamioka & The Incredible Koyama

Bairei Yasujiro, Java & The Rebellion (Natsu Miyamae & Shimedzu) vs. Ieyoshi Shimakage, Hachigoro Maeda, Haru Kurofuji & Sanetomo Shiraishi

Atsumori Takemura & Toju Munkata vs. Gonkuro Kamioka & The Incredible Koyama

For Nakasawa's army to be taken seriously, Takemura needs to show he can hang on his own. I feel like Punk NASTY Club will be a big deal for you once Yamura is no longer a Young Lion, so a win here to establish Munkata and Takemura is my call

Bairei Yasujiro, Java & The Rebellion (Natsu Miyamae & Shimedzu) vs. Ieyoshi Shimakage, Hachigoro Maeda, Haru Kurofuji & Sanetomo Shiraishi

Think Shiraishi got the short end of it last show. The Rebellion aren't putting their full hearts into teaming back up and Java can keep being strong while avoiding the pin here

American Panther (American Optimus & Red Panther) vs. Golden Scorpion & The Awesome Kiyaru

Set up for the first Junior Tag defense

Hyosuke Kokan, Kansuke Konda, Murai Enomoto & Ryushi Sato vs. Kikkawa’s Army (Heihachiro Sakai & Hirokumi Saito & VENOM) & Yoshii Shiomi

I've learned my lesson, I'll pick against Kikkawa's Army when I see them lose myself

Kinnojo Horri, Matthew Keith & Tatsuya Toshitala vs. NEO (Koshiro Ino, Yasuhiko Taira & Yasunobu Masuno)

Horri has been struggling to cope with what he feels is his own inadequacy, and NEO has been excelling at getting heat while "losing". Horri can get a win while NEO can still look strong by "giving" him the win.

Chuichi Sanda, Eiji Hamacho & Tadakuni Toshusai vs. Eisaku Hoshino, Mitsunari Fugunaga & Taro Shionoya

One side has the better, younger talent IMO

Hiroaki Nakasawa, Nissho Yuasa & Toshiki Shibanumo vs. Kikkawa’s Army (Masaaki Okazaki, Tadiyuki Kikkawa & Tasuku Iesada)

Shibanumo has no place up this high on the card, and I'm afraid he may actually die in the ring in this match

Marihito Masuko & Elemental III vs. Sensational Dragon & MYSTIC Dragon

Basing this pick off of the two Dragons not being on the same page for the challenge in the first place

<p>Fujio and Tanyu have both been great in my BHOTWG save.... Fujio in particular has the potential to be a world champion now with 79 chain wrestling, 85+ in the performance row and 83 star quality thanks to some natural muscle building and a bit of a push to bulk up. I accidentally let Tanyu go to WLW when I forgot to improve my bid for him but he's also a great talent and has been tearing it up over there with a very similar skill set. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I'm liking the fairly simple format of the show. When I tried to write BHOTWG I wrote faaaaaaaaaar too much, but now having watched a lot more NJPW I know that matches tend to be a simple plot point in a far larger arc. Keeping things short and with purpose is good and I'm looking forward to seeing how you develop some of the characters here because I like to steal ideas for my own game. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

There were far too many mistakes made by Sensation Dragon & MYSTIC Dragon that seemed less a result of the story intended to be told, and more as a result of a complete lack of chemistry. Nevertheless, the story was delivered. Sensation had seemed reluctant when the challenge was made by Masuko & Elemental III but he was actually hyper motivated in this match knowing a win would shut down any chance of Elemental III, or worse, Masuko challenging at Warrior Globe. It actually was MYSTIC who fell to Masuko thanks to the Masuko Cradle in just over 15 minutes. For their part, Masuko and Elemental III put up the best performances of the night outside the “King”. B</p><p> </p><p> After the match, Marihito Masuko made his challenge for the Burning Junior Champion at Warrior Globe official and Sensation Dragon really had no options to refuse at that point. Horri forgave them both as long as they learned from that experience. NEO didn’t have much to say. Ino wanted to point out that a strike from Horri just doesn’t really compare from a strike from the “King”.</p><p> - Toshusai, Hamacho & Sanda admitted they have to go back to the drawing board because as NEO showed earlier, they’re a team completely in sink and if they can’t beat Hoshino’s team tonight then the odds aren’t looking good for Test of Prophecies. The key difference remains that Toshusai, Sanda & Hamacho no Ino and Black Magic more than anyone else in the company. That might be the key to the win. Hoshino said he respects Toshusai had something to prove tonight but they couldn’t just stand aside for them, they want to be in title conversations and they need wins for that. </p><p> - Kokan & Konda decided they didn’t really have a choice, and it was hard to decide who they should defend against between the team of Shiomi & VENOM and American Panther, they’re doing the honorable thing and will defend against both teams at Test of Prophecies. The “King” made a surprise appearance in Kikkawa’s Army interview. Shiomi & VENOM were both super nervous. The “King” was brief but stated that all belts should belong to Kikkawa’s Army - if Shiomi became a Burning Junior Tag Team champion after Test of Prophecies, then of course he would belong to Kikkawa’s Army. </p><p> - MYSTIC was frustrated with Sensational’s criticism of him after the main event. He hoped Masuko failed at Warrior Globe because he wanted to be the one to end Sensational’s reign before it really got going. Elemental III wished Masuko good luck, he said he’s right behind in line for a shot as well. Sensational expects what always happens when Masuko and him face, a great match, and Dragon holding the belt in the end, conveniently ignoring they are even as far as ending each other’s reigns go.</p></div></blockquote>

While it isn’t unusual for BHOTWG to give a chance to a physically imposing wrestler who isn’t all that talented a worker, Gargantuan doesn’t really have the reputation and worldwide popularity of Marat Khoklov. Well over seven feet tall, Gargantuan is just as intimidating as Khoklov but he doesn’t have the capacity to slot into the main event instantly the way Khoklov did before him. It’ll take some careful booking if they want to maintain Gargantuan’s value as a monster, but also get him to that level of in-ring ability and notoriety needed to meet the value of the Bruce and Marat’s before him. Gargantuan is a hot commodity in Canada’s Canadian Golden Combat with a recently concluded CGC World title reign. He’s rumored to have had many potential suitors so BHOTWG got ahead of the game. There are some thoughts that he may be renamed to be a suitable inheritor to Bruce the Giant and Marat Khoklov’s mantles. </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="MM8i7aY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MM8i7aY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Goemon Inoue</strong> is the color commentator from Black Canvas Grappling. Considering the schism between Mitsuhide Muro and Toru Minamoto as well as the general understanding that Hidetada Kozu isn’t at the level necessary, Inoue is expected to be given a run on Lords of the Ring to see if he gels with Muro and Kazutoshi Imoo and performs better than Kozu. The change would be unfortunate for Danjuro Komatsu who would likely end up booted out of Lions of the Ring for Kozu to take his spot. He is expected to start in a couple of weeks.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="TcToFAf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TcToFAf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Motoyuki Miyake</strong> is the newest young boy to join the roster. At 20 years old and just a one year pro, Miyake is seen as someone who will stick with the company long term. Miyake is an ultra-serious wrestler who reminds many of Hiroaki Nakasawa with his demeanor. He’ll be shedding his trademark blue trunks and shoot gloves for the attire of a BHOTWG young boy. He’s far from the prototypical Junior wrestler with a preference for a hard-hitting physically wearing style and some great talent as a submission worker. Although there is a potential for Miyake to move up a weight class, there’s a vested interest in seeing how Miyake’s style will contrast with the best of the Juniors division. There are high hopes for Miyake going forward to be a complete BHOTWG product.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="AZazWOY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AZazWOY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Prometheus</strong> is probably the most shocking addition to the BHOTWG locker room. At 7’1, Prometheus is going to slot right in with Gargantuan as a great monster foreign wrestler but Prometheus is even further behind than Gargantuan and it’s clear that his home promotion CGC hasn’t put enough effort in making him more than just a figure. A 3 year pro at 25 years old, Prometheus will probably be the biggest man to have ever put on the orange trunks of a young boy and he’s certainly expected to give veterans and fellow young lions alike some trouble. There is the issue that having him as a young boy could very well kill his legitimacy going forward. On the other hand, having a monster gaijin who learned the BHOTWG way may make him a unique threat in the main event. It’s unknown if he’ll be keeping the Prometheus name.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="UdKFutZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/UdKFutZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Razan Okamoto</strong> is one of the biggest reasons why Black Canvas Grappling has been a secret gem in Japanese wrestling. At 24 years old, and a 6 year pro, Okamoto has shown all the potential to be a star. Okamoto ran the highly reputed Yoshifusa Maeda Grand Prix last year, and was expected to become a champion in the company; however, BHOTWG has changed those plans. Okamoto’s a good high flier but an even better brawler. He may prove a problem for the Four Heavenly Kings and doesn’t like a man who will allow himself to stay under anyone’s ceiling. It’s unclear if he’ll be entering BHOTWG under his current name, but it’ll be a good indication that he’s intended to compete as a heavyweight if he does enter under the name. </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="pKvUnH3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pKvUnH3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Taheiji Konoe</strong> is regarded as a big lost opportunity for Warrior Engine XXV. “The Animal” has stalled in the company for years now, and is getting a shot in BHOTWG at 29 years old with already a decade under his name without many accomplishments to warrant the signing. Konoe is expected to stand out from nearly everyone on the roster, and most of the new signings for his background as a hardcore wrestler. His vicious style will differ strongly from the brutal style of wrestlers like Nakasawa and Kikkawa, but his departure from the deathmatches that gave him his reputation in WEXXV may expose some of his weaknesses. Konoe’s future will strongly depend on his ability to adapt while maintaining what he’s been thought for the last decade. </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="9IkW611.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9IkW611.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Yoshinaka Taku</strong> is another second-generation wrestler, and another Black Canvas Grappling roster member to join the company. 24 years old and a 5 year pro, Yoshinaka isn’t expected to don the orange trunks although BHOTWG are expecting that Yoshinaka will commit to the company long term. Yoshinaka combines some great brawling with some great shoot style fighting although he’s somewhat lacking in technical worker and that may be his downfall against the best in the company. BCG are expected to have Yoshinaka and Toshinobu’s rare father-son pairing lose their BCG World Tag Team belt within the next week. </p><p> </p><p> Aside from Motoyuki Miyake, these signings are expected to make their debuts in BHOTWG on next week’s Lions of the Ring. </p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

<p>Damn, that's a lot of BEEF you just brought in. </p><p> </p><p>

For Gargantuan and Prometheus, the old AJPW gimmick name of Gigantes strikes true for Gargantuan who would do well with Kikkakawa's Army as an extra soldier.</p><p> </p><p>

Prometheus coming in as a Young Boy strikes me as the pinnacle of BHOTWG arrogance by taking a CGC monster heel who troubled the legendary DeColts and immediately making him a dojo brat. So do that immediately. </p><p> </p><p>

The rest are interesting, but not immediately striking. Perhaps it's because they're all Japanese and tier-wise will either not become big stars ever or only in the long run, but seeing you manage menace workers like the Canucks has me curious. </p><p> </p><p>

Also, I don't know if you're aware, but Christian Shane made a "Shogun" generic title at my request for Celt's old BUSHIDO Pro logo set. Maybe you can rework it as BHOTWG title somehow?</p>

Perhaps it's because they're all Japanese and tier-wise will either not become big stars ever or only in the long run, but seeing you manage menace workers like the Canucks has me curious. </p><p> </p><p> Also, I don't know if you're aware, but Christian Shane made a "Shogun" generic title at my request for Celt's old BUSHIDO Pro logo set. Maybe you can rework it as BHOTWG title somehow?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I am unreasonably attached to Gargantuan & Prometheus. I love their renders and I love monsters, and they're Canadian (I'm Canadian!)! They are definitely capable of turning into solid upper midcarders with time and effort and I'll be putting in both of those. Prometheus as a young boy is such a wonderful sight I think. At least Kikkawa's Army won't have much trouble getting the Burning Throne to the ring with the giant in the orange trunks there. </p><p> </p><p> The rest are probably the obvious gets and definitely aren't immediate stars. </p><p> </p><p> I checked out the Shogun belt and I'll definitely consider the possibilities for it. The show was mostly filled with young boys and juniors, particularly the guys who weren’t on Lords of the Ring. The lack of veterans on the show is mostly attributed to tough opening schedule with Warrior Globe & Test of Prophecies featuring Sunday & Monday. Still, a crowd of over 2.5K showed up and they were treated to a few solid matches. The cards for Warrior Globe & Test of Prophecies were also revealed.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Mitsunari Fugunaga defeated the new young boy Motoyuki Miyake</strong> in 6 minutes with the Rear Naked Choke. Fugunaga was merciless but the two didn’t really click, it wasn’t the best showing for Miyake. - C+</p><p> </p><p> After the match, Fugunaga got Miyake to his feet, shook his hand and then viciously headbutted him before dragging him to the back. It may have been an initiation or the beginning of a mentorship.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Ryushi Sato defeated Kazunori Yamura</strong> in just over 8 minutes with the Zen Driller. Arguably the worst match of the night. - C-</p><p> </p><p> After the match, Ryushi Sato requested the presence of Nakasawa’s Army. The four men group came out led by Hiroaki. Sato wanted to prove himself against Kikkawa’s Army and he feels that helping Nakasawa’s Army was the best way to do that. He requested admission into Nakasawa’s group. Yuasa wasn’t very impressed, claiming Sato beating a young boy wasn’t something worth talking about. Nakasawa likes Sato’s ruthlessness and character though and accepted the Golem into Nakasawa’s Army.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Sensational Dragon defeated Tetsuji Nishimoto</strong> in 6 minutes with the Sensation Shock. The two worked together and Dragon helped Nishimoto steal the show. There’s no way they team him with MYSTIC again after he showed how much better he works without him. His match with Masuko should be a treat. - B-</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Golden Scorpion defeated Crimson Ghost </strong>in 10 minutes with the Scorpion Stinger. Scorpion seemed impressed with Ghost throughout the match and eased up his early pressure by the end. The pairing worked a fast paced match which left them both gassed by the end. Kaima got the pin on White Samurai after a Power-Plex in 15 minutes. C-</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Matthew Keith & Tatsuya Toshitala defeated Murai Enomoto & Gonkuro Kamioka</strong> in 16 minutes when Toshitala submitted Enomoto with the Heel Hook. The Heel Hook is a vicious looking submission move and Enomoto tapped almost instantly. Good match but all four heavyweights are on here for a reason. - C</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Helikaon defeated Jin Miyamoto</strong> in the main event of the evening. Obviously both wrestlers aren’t very popular but they worked a fast paced match that was a notch above Relampago & Koyama but suffered from the same issues of Helikaon & Miyamoto having little energy by the end. Great ending when Helikaon superkicked a springboarding Miyamoto in 15 minutes to get the win. C</p><p> </p><p> Helikaon closed out the show by commenting on how many Juniors are coming in with credentials outside of BHOTWG to join an already packed division. He needs to step his game up and keep winning because the division is only going to get more crowded.</p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

Final updates for the day.

BHOTWG Announces Two Major Signings:

Up until now, the new signings by BHOTWG have been modest in terms of immediate potential to the roster. Today, that changes with two pretty significant additions to the company, one of which is expected to alter the Burning World championship picture immediately.

Buddy Garner converted from an extremely successful MMA career to professional wrestling in 1999 when he joined PGHW and became a Glory Crown champion there. After a year long break in 2004, Garner snubbed BHOTWG to join PGHW for a second run that lasted 3 years. Now, after an 8 year hiatus, Buddy Garner finally starts his journey on the Burning Path with one of the biggest contracts in the company (short of Nakasawa and Kikkawa). Garner is arguably the best technical wrestler in the world (a title Okazaki will be angered to hear) and if his near-decade long hiatus hasn’t slowed him down, Garner may be the man to dethrone Kikkawa. The cards for Warrior Globe & Test of Prophecies have already been released but he’s expected to make his presence felt at both events.

Eagle Kawasawa should very much have been a BHOTWG competitor well over a decade ago but it never really came to pass. The protege of one of the greatest juniors of all time Optimus, Kawasawa is a two time GCG Openweight Champion but hasn’t lived up to what’s expected of an Optimus protege. In 2009, Kawasawa made the jump to becoming a heavyweight wrestler and he’s expected to continue performing as one in BHOTWG, killing any rumors that he may inherit Optimus’s name. Kawasawa’s past as a Junior will give him a skillset few other heavyweights have, and it certainly won’t take away from the fact that he’s a good technical wrestler, and brawler. He’s expected to make his debut in a couple of weeks.

BHOTWG are expected to finish-up two more signings, both towards the Junior division at some point around Warrior Globe and Test of Prophecies.

<p>How long is Lions of the Ring? Thinking its a 2 how show...?</p><p> </p><p>

Don't blame you for signing up Gargantuan and Prometheus. I ended up signing Prometheus (who moved up in size, YES!) and Giant Brody, and they are tagging in developmental as a team. Gargantuan is more developed and a more certain star, but the negative personality and my recent booking of CGC made avoid him. </p><p> </p><p>

Shoutout to Hash for pointing out the Shogun title. And requesting it in the first place. Really cool looking. Now the interesting part - the Shogun was the military ruler of Japan for some 700 years, and technically below the Emperor. But through many periods, the Shogunate was actually more power than the Emperor and was essentially the ruler of all Japan. I presume Japanese fans know their own nations history pretty well, so that makes for an interesting title that could have some historical callbacks, depending on how one chooses to use it.</p>

I'm considering adding a half hour or hour to Lords of the Ring for more segments, alternatively I could reduce the match lengths as they are in Lions of the Ring. </p><p> </p><p> Prometheus won't move up in size for me ;( I'm avoiding pairing them up as I did in MAW but I'm pretty sure they'll both need partners in the first year or two. My one experience with Brody in BCG ages ago left me uneasy about him. siah463 mentioned Brody as well but if there were any Gaijin monsters I'd like to bring in outside Prometheus & Gargantuan it would undoubtedly be American Demolition (and if anyone tries to sign them to writtens, expect me to counter). </p><p> </p><p> I'm aware of the history with the Shogunate but it didn't really click into me how I could play with it until now and I've got a few ideas now. Downside is that I do not know if it'll materialize until 2017.</p>
