Thunderverse vs. Cornelverse

Recommended Posts

Relatively new to the game, but in the mods I see that a lot of people like the Thunderverse. Any thoughts on the main differences and what are the pros/con to choosing one over the other. I am somewhat new to the game, so looking for a fun, good quality save where I start by running a local company.

Thanks!

I think its going to come down to preference more than anything else. Really had to try to present one as "better". Both are very balanced and deep, with attention given to pretty much every area (though some areas are deeper than others, for obvious reasons). I think - and I'm not 100% on this - that there is a bit more depth of talent available in most regions in the Tverse. Particularly with women. Not saying its massively more, but I think diversity was one of the goals. And the Tvere has a few promotion types that don't really exist in the Cverse.

I don't think you can go wrong either way, to be honest. Spend a bit of time poking around both and see if there are any promotions that "call to you".

I prefer the C-Verse with mods like CV97. Just because of how deep it goes back, and how people with no ability to create renders (aka me) can have a bunch of regens not look the exact same.

It just keeps the game going for me, as I prefer long saves.

I prefer C-VERSE on the whole. I like having the option of all renders looking of the same design in T-VERSE and I like some of the different promotions logos and wrestler renders that exist, but to me it's really C-VERSE that I'm built on. Promotions like BCG, GCG, NYCW and ROF are what I cut my teeth on, and it's promotions like CZCW and USPW that I've tried to conquer the world with time after time. I've yet to quite find that experience in T-VERSE, not with CWT or GBWF or UPJ.

The Great Lakes area has six promotions in the battle, not counting your own.

I think the T-Verse is pretty much the C-Verse on steroids. From a game world perspective it was able to look at successes and shortcomings of the Cverse over time and build upon them. The CV has been going since 2004 and started out of thin air so it was pretty much a shot in the dark.

I think both are incredible and for my personal preference it just depends on which characters I’m in the mood to use. Both worlds have wildly unique characters and promotions, between the two, there is almost definitely something for any possible mood.

There are some minor differences. For instance, getting TV as a Regional Company in the U.S. is a nightmare for the C-Verse, but it's much easier in T-Verse. Conversely, it's a little more difficult to get on TV in Mexico in the T-Verse, though nowhere near as hard as US in the C-Verse.

I like the Thunderverse and Cornellverse equally. I think the Thunderverse has better bios & character development, on average but I like the "feel" of the Cornellverse more.

This thread made me really hyped to finally try Thunderverse but I seriously don't think I have the time to invest in another fake wrestler database. If you like to play in Japan. The japanese scene in TVerse is also a lot more realistic and fun to play. The japanese scene in CVerse is pretty boring with BHOTWG hoarding all the workers. Plus only two of the promotions are running the touring calendar with one of them hitting the bucket soon.

WLW usually tends to succeed as well. EX2010 has too much money to die. GCG, SAISHO & 5SSW don't often last long, though.

Although I still prefer any TVerse scenes over CVerse ones e_e
