Battle of the Best

This story will start with three shows - RAW, SmackDown and Saturday Night's Main Event.

The brand split was lifted. From now on every superstar can appear on both shows.

The big five events of the WWE are WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, Survivor Series and Starrcade .

The story starts right after WrestleMania 34.

I am interested in feedback and hope you like my project. I'll make a guessing contest for every show, so you can guess the match results if you want.

From time to time I would like to have a vote on certain developments or decisions. I hope you will participate, of course. The answer that I like the most or the one that gets the most votes will be implemented.

Please accept this as the constructive criticism it is intended as.

It doesn't bode well when you post your list of champions on each brand - which includes women - and then your first post is asking whether or not you should include the women. It suggests a lack of thought and preparation that could immediately put people off giving your diary the time of day considering the amount of diaries vying for peoples time.

I'd also say that 22 PPV's in a year is way too many, given the highest amount in a calendar year in real life has been 16. The fact you haven't settled on whether you are even doing the womens division suggests you haven't yet got any shows written up and ready to post, and with a 22 PPV system, I personally am struggling to see this diary get shows posted at any kind of consistent rate and it seems like one that won't go past the first page, which happens so often.

I hope I'm wrong, I'm not saying this to be an arse, just speaking from many years of experience viewing this forum and others like it.

Figure out what you are going to do before posting your thread, and get several shows written in advance so that if you hit a period of time where you can't write shows due to life getting in the way or being ill etc... you have shows in the bag and your thread doesn't disappear.

You're right, no shows have been written so far. I am still in planning and will soon be able to release my first show, but generally wanted to know whether a women's division is wished or not. But your criticism has made me completely rethink the story, thank you for that! The reason for the high number of shows was that I wanted to have two different "companies" that only meet twice a year. But after rethinking I changed some things! I hope I can surprise you.

Review of Wrestlemania 34:

The SuperBowl of wrestling was fantastic!

AJ Styles and Brock Lesnar defeated their opponents Shinsuke Nakamura and Roman Reigns and each defended their world titles! Daniel Bryan celebrated his comeback at the WWE with ShaneMcMahon at his side and defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a very good match! Owens and Zayn therefore have to leave SmackDown!

Seth Rollins won the Intercontinental Title against Finn Bálor and The Miz. Jinder Mahal won the United States title after defeating Randy Orton, Rusev and Bobby Roode!

John Cena, who challenged The Untertaker before Wrestlemania but didn't get an answer, watched the biggest show of the year as a crowd member. The Undertaker then showed up at Wrestlemania out of nowhere and defeated John Cena within 3 minutes.

We are curious what will happen on Monday Night RAW and on Tuesday Night SmackDown!

A video review of Wrestlemania 34, focusing on Brock Lesnar's and AJ Styles’ victories plays. There is also a summary of Seth Rollins' title wins.

The show starts with Paul Heyman and the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar on their way to the ring. The crowd boos both of them. Arriving in the ring Paul Heyman grabs a microphone.

Heyman: “Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman and I am the advocate of the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Last night, my client Brock Lensar took Roman Reigns to Suplex City by express train. Those who bet their money on Reigns have rightly lost it. I told you so the last few weeks, but you guys are probably too dumb to listen to me.”

Lesnar: “No one can compete with me! I have conquered them all - Strowman, Joe, Reigns and Goldberg.”

That's where Roman Reigns comes out with a microphone.

Reigns: “Last night you were the better man, Brock. But in our next fight, I will defeat you!”

Heyman: “Why should you get another match? You clearly lost the match!”

Now General Manager Kurt Angle is coming out.

Angle: “Brock, congratulations on victory yesterday! However, at Battleground you will defend your title again. As long as you're the WWE Universal Champion, you'll put the title on the line at every major event! That' why there's gonna be a #1 contender match tonight. Roman Reigns will face Dolph Ziggler and a returning superstar!”

Singles Match

Mojo Rawley vs. Finn Bálor

In a bout that had little heat and embarrassing wrestling, Finn Balór defeated Mojo Rawley in 4:02 by pinfall with a Coup de Grace.

39 D-

Elias enters the ring with his guitar and wants to sing something for the crowd.

Elias: “Last night at Wrestlemania, John Cena interrupted him during his biggest concert. But after his shameful loss against The Undertaker yesterday, Cena will not interrupt him for damn sure.”

Elias is now playing his song and insults the crowd in the arena.

Braun Strowman is backstage with Charly Caruso for an interview.

Caruso: “What are your next plans on RAW?”

Strowman: “Here at WWE there are still some battles to win! All I want is more competition! Cesaro and Sheamus weren't a competition last night. I was able to win the WWE Tag Team title with a 12-year-old boy. I just talked to Kurt Angle and handed over the Tag Team titles with Nicholas because I'm looking for a big gold.”

AJ Styles comes into the Ring and is loudly cheered by the fans.

Styles: “Yesterday I defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and I am still your WWE World Champion! However, I can't explain what happened afterwards! I have always respected Nakamura and he does this backstabbing action?”

After that Nakamura comes out with a microphone.

Nakamura: “The fans love you more than me, even if I work harder than you! You don't deserve to be champion!”

Styles: “I don't deserve it? For over 2 years I've been making SmackDown a better show and work my butt off Tuesday after Tuesday!”

Nakamura: “If I fight you one more time, I'll be the winner! No matter how long you've been here!”

Styles: “Then prove it, I put my WWE World Championship on the line. Tomorrow night on SmackDown... you versus me!”

Nakamura leaves the stage with a smile.

Singles Match

Breezango vs. LuchaBro’s

In an abysmal match, LuchaBro's defeated Breezango in 3:43 when Pentagon Dark defeated Fandango by pinfall with a Pentagon Driver.

36 D-

After the match, Rey Fenix and Pentagon Dark each take a microphone.

Pentagon: "Every tag team should be trembling before us! We are the LuchaBro's and will win the RAW Tag Team Championship very soon!”

Fenix: “We will win the titles and will keep them forever. We will be the most dominant tag team of all time!”

The Ascension kommt heraus und lacht über die LuchaBro's.

Konnor: "I've never seen two little Mexicans with such a big mouth."

Viktor: “Somebody should call the kindergarten and ask if any kids escaped. If anyone wins the RAW Tag Team Championship, it's us!”

Dean Ambrose makes his comeback on RAW and goes straight into the ring.

Ambrose: “It's so good to be back! It was a long time of pain for me, but now I'm back - and I won't leave again. I am happy for my buddy Seth that he won the Intercontinental Championship last night at Wrestlemania! And Roman will show Lesnar who is the better man is! Now to me: I will earn my place here and will not avoid any challenge!”

Suddenly Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn appear on the stage.

Owens: “It's so good to be back on Monday Night RAW!”

Zayn: “You're right, Kevin. Raw is a thousand times better than SmackDown.”

Ambrose: “Better because at SmackDown you would meet your tormentors Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon? Oh, wait. You got fired from SmackDown.”

Owens and Zayn get angry and storm into the ring. They go after Ambrose and attack him. Ambrose tries to fight back, but Owens & Zayn are too clever in this case. They alternate with the punches and kicks, so Ambrose doesn't have a chance alone. Out of nowhere DrewMcIntyre runs down the ramp and attacks Owens and Zayn in the ring and makes the save for Ambrose! Together they throw the two Canadians out of the ring and celebrate together!

Finn Bálor meets Goldust backstage.

Goldust: "I see darkness in you - a demon that destroys everything. Come to the golden side and see the brightest and most precious shine in the world. As soon as you are on the golden side, you also have a chance to shine. I will help you to find the right way."

Finn Bálor just stands there, starts laughing loudly and leaves the scene.

Andrade Almas and his manager Zelina Vega come down the aisle.

Almas: “I wish myself a warm welcome to RAW. And of course I wish you the same, Zelina.”

Vega: “Thank you very much, Andrade. To all mentally retarded in this arena I would like to present the former NXT Champion and future WWE World Champion El Ídolo - Andrade Cien Almas. It's an honor for WWE that Andrade is standing in this ring right now.”

Almas: “Right now I'm going to have my first match in the WWE. Let's see if it takes me longer than two minute to get the victory.”

Singles Match

Andrade Almas (w/ Zelina Vega) vs. Heath Slater

In a short match, Andrade defeated Heath Slater in 1:32 by pinfall with a Hammerlock DDT.

39 D-

Andrade Almas celebrates his victory after the match, when his theme is interrupted suddenly by Kalisto, who comes to the ring for the next match. Almas doesn't look happy about it. When Kalisto enters the ring, Almas goes for him. After a few punches, he gives him the Hammerlock DDT.

Kurt Angle is backstage with Stephanie McMahon.

McMahon: “Kurt, we don't have WWE Tag Team Champions. What are you going to do to get new champions soon?”

Angle: “Starting next week there will be a tag team tournament. The winner will then receive the titles at Battleground.”

McMahon: “I hope you don't make any mistakes, Kurt! You are replaced faster than you like. I'm not forgetting my husband won't be here tonight because of you and Ronda Rousey.”

The Miz is in the ring with his wife Maryse and his Miztourage Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.

Miz: “Seth, come out and face me like a man! Yesterday you stole my Intercontinental Championship and I want it back. You don't deserve to carry that title on your shoulders! So give me back what's mine!”

Rollins now comes on the stage.

Rollins: “You think I stole the title? Everyone is happy that now a fighting champion has the title and no longer a sneaky rat.”

Miz: “Enough, you shithead! Come to the ring – I invoke my rematch clause right now!”

Intercontinental Championship Match

Seth Rollins © vs. The Miz (w/ Maryse & The Miztourage)

But before the match starts, Miz already goes for Rollins and delivers a Skull Crushing Finale on Rollins! While The Miztourage attacks Rollins, The Miz pulls out a ladder from under the ring and pushes it into the ring. The Miztourage takes the ladder and hits it on Rollins' head. Afterwards Miz puts Rollins in the Figure Four Leglock and Rollins taps out. The Miz is now pleased and takes a microphone.

Miz: “Do you think I'm that stupid and invoke my rematch tonight? No, the crowd doesn't deserve it! I will take back my Intercontinental Championship at Battleground… in a ladder match!”

Singles Match

Braun Strowman vs. Sheamus (w/ Cesaro)

In a poor match, Braun Strowman defeated Sheamus in 8:33 by pinfall with a Reverse Chokeslam.

53 C-

After the match Strowman drags Sheamus over the ramp onto the stage. Then he takes Sheamus up to the Powerbomb and throws him straight into a spotlight! There's a big explosion and Strowman celebrates his act. Some helpers run over and carry Sheamus out with a stretcher.

Strowman: “Give me some more competition!”

American Alpha talk backstage about the WWE Tag Team Championship tournament as The Revival & The Authors of Pain join the scene.

Akam: “You won't have a chance. We will destroy you all.”

Wilder: “I'm sorry, Dude, but are you limited? If anyone wins this tournament, that's Scott and me!”

Dawson: “****ing right, brother!”

Jordan: “I don't think any of you can win against us.”

Gable: “We already were NXT Tag Team Champions and SmackDown Tag Team Champions. Now we will become RAW Tag Team Champions - and nobody will hold us back!”

Rezar: “Don't be so sure about that!”

AoP then attack American Alpha and take them out. Then they turn to The Revival.

Akam: “We will see you at Battleground.”

Singles Match

John Cena vs. Baron Corbin

In a decent match, John Cena defeated Baron Corbin in 8:32 by submission with a STF.

64 C

After the match John Cena grabs a microphone.

Cena: “Elias should keep his mouth shut otherwise I will stuff it!”

Charly Caruso is backstage to interview Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Caruso: “Have you recovered from your loss at Wrestlemania?”

Zayn: “What are you talking about? Kevin, you know that?”

Owens: “I don't know what she means, Sami.”

Caruso: “Okay, what do you think of Drew McIntyre's interference?

Owens: “I just want this guy to take care of his own business. Ambrose deserves the beating and McIntyre should stay out of it!”

Zayn: “If he interferes again, he'll also take a beating. Nobody should mess with Kevin and me."

Triple Threat Match to determine #1 contender for the WWE Universal Championship

Roman Reigns vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Bobby Lashley

In a poor match, Roman Reigns defeated Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Lashley in 12:18 when Roman Reigns defeated Dolph Ziggler by pinfall with a Spear.

After the match Bobby Lashley leaves the ring disappointed and Brock Lesnar enters it at the same time. There's a staredown between Reigns and Lesnar. Reigns leaves the ring and Lesnar throws Ziggler over his shoulder and delivers a F5 on him.

SmackDown starts with Seth Rollins in the ring.

Rollins: “Yesterday at RAW I wanted to put my Intercontinental Championship on the line and agreed to the rematch of The Miz. And then he attacks me backwards? With his little helpers? And now he can decide the stipulation of this match? Paige, get out!”

Paige now enters the stage.

Paige: “Seth, I know what you mean. But I think it's a great idea. I want to see the ladder match between you and The Miz! As I understand your opinion, this ladder match will take place without Maryse and The Miztourage, because they are banned from the ring side!”

Rollins: “Thank you, that's a concession after all."

The Miz now arrives angrily on stage with Maryse.

Miz:” This is absolutely unacceptable! Paige, you must be impartial! If you approach him, you must also have to approach me!”

Paige: “What do you want?”

Miz: “I want Rollins to fight with one hand tied on his back! No, stop! I want him to fight blindfold!”

Styles: “You're out of your mind, Miz! That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. You have already chosen the ladder match, why should Paige grant you anything else?”

Paige: “AJ, you're right. And, Miz, your ideas are bullshit anyway.”

Rusev, Lana and Aiden English talk to each other backstage. English sings his Rusev Day song to show his appreciation for Rusev.

Rusev: “Thank you, Aiden. It's an honor for me to have you by my side.”

Lana: “Rusev, it's no honor for you - it's an honor for Aiden! He should be glad you're on his side, not against him!”

Rusev: “Lana, Aiden and I are friends. That's why I'll always be by his side.”

Aiden: “Lana is right, you're the strongest guy I know. I'm glad we're a team and not opponents. Let's prepare for our enemies now.”

Singles Match

Eric Young (w/ Alexander Wolfe & Kilian Dain) vs. Kofi Kingston (w/ Big E & Xavier Woods)

In a bout that had terrible wrestling and non-existent crowd heat, Eric Young drew with Kofi Kingston in 8:51 following a double count out due to a outside brawl.

39 D-

After the match the brawl between The New Day and SAnitY continues! Kilian Dain battles Big E outside of the ring, Xavier Woods is in the ring with Alexander Wolfe and Kofi Kingston takes care of Eric Young! Dain delivers a Powerbomb to Big E through the commentator's desk and then ran directly into the ring. At this moment Kingston delivers Young a Trouble in Paradise. Then he turns around and gets a Big Boot from Dain. Wolfe and Dain want to beat up Woods now. Dain wants to get him out of the ring with a Clothesline, but Woods ducks and Dain flies out over the rope. Wolfe then wants to attack Woods, but gets a Lost in the Woods. Xavier Woods now stands alone in the ring and celebrates - he doesn't notice that Dain approaches him from behind. Dain destroys Woods completely and finally gives him an Ulster Plantation.

The Uso's are backstage in Paige's office.

Jey Uso: "Yo, Paige. Last night at Wrestlemania, we lost our titles to those backwoods."

Jimmy Uso: "Yo, we want a rematch tonight!"

Paige: "You are getting a rematch, that's right. But that won't take place tonight, this will happen in 3 weeks at Battleground!"

Jey Uso: "Yo Paige, this is......”

Out of nowhere, The Uso's are attacked by The Bludgeon Brothers! Harper and Rowan smash their hammers on Jey and Jimmy Uso, until they're held back by several security guards. Paige is angry and throws everyone out of her office.

WWE Tag Team Tournament Championship - Round of sixteen

Rusev Day (w/ Lana) vs. The Miztourage

In a bout that had terrible wrestling and non-existent crowd heat, Rusev Day defeated The Miztourage in 4:02 when Rusev defeated Bo Dallas by submission with an Accolade.

36 D-

Neville now enters the ring and grabs a microphone.

Neville: “Are you happy to see me again? I'm not. I haven't missed seeing your ugly faces! Actually, I was looking forward to this evening, but as soon as I see you, I don't feel like it anymore. You're just boring.”

Neville throws his microphone away and leaves the ring, but suddenly Johnny Gargano comes onto the stage! Both look at each other for a moment, then he runs towards Neville and gives him a Tornado DDT. Neville remains next to the ring while Gargano picks up the microphone and enters the ring.

Gargano: “Neville is just stupid! You're the best! Because of you I have come very far in NXT and will now prove my skills on SmackDown! I haven't been able to fulfill all my dreams at NXT, but here on SmackDown he will accomplish everything! I hope you'll support me.”

Samoa Joe holds a promo in the ring.

Joe: “What has the future predicted for me? Who will I beat next? I don't care who wins the WWE World Championship Match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura - the winner will face me! Then I will take his breath away with my Coquina Clutch and become the new Champion!”

Randy Orton now enters the stage and slowly moves to the ring.

Orton: “If anyone challenges the Champion, it's me! What have you achieved in the WWE so far? Nothing at all! Maybe you should start small before you want to compete with the big boys!”

Now Big Cass comes out.

Cass: “Did anyone here say anything about a big boy? I am 7 feet tall and therefore have the biggest ambition for a WWE World Championship Match! I will kick the champion's head off his shoulders and put the title on my shoulder! Neither of you can stop me!”

Joe: “Orton, Cass, I think you're both suffering from overconfidence. Cass, you protected little goblins and tore your cruciate band when trying to destroy him. Orton, you're just a show-off who's only here because of you father!"

Orton and Big Cass get angry and want to enter the ring. But then Paige comes on stage.

Paige: “There's not gonna be another fight tonight! You will settle your problems on Saturday Night’s Main Event in the ring! It will be a triple threat match and the winner will face AJ Styles or Shinsuke Nakamura at Battleground!”

WWE Tag Team Championship Tournament - Round of sixteen

The Revival vs. The Club

In a bout that had terrible wrestling and non-existent crowd heat, The Revival defeated The Club in 8:07 when Dash Wilder defeated Karl Anderson by pinfall with a Shatter Machine.

A new Tag Team debuts next Week on SmackDown to compete in the WWE Tag Team Championship Tournament.

Bryan: “Hey, Shane, what a fight the day before yesterday at Wrestlemania. Thanks to both of us, SmackDown is free of the problems around Owens and Zayn!”

McMahon: “Daniel, it's nice to see you back under the blue flag! It was a great experience with you the day before yesterday. You helped me to empty the trash out of SmackDown, so I'm gonna help you, too. Next week it will be a fatal four way match to determine the number #1 Contender for the WWE World Championship!”

Bryan thanks him and leaves the office very satisfied.

WWE World Championship

AJ Styles © vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

In a decent match, AJ Styles defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in 13:50 by submission with a Calf Crusher. AJ Styles makes defence number 1 of his WWE World Championship title.

AJ Styles celebrates his victory in the ring and Shinsuke Nakamura leaves the scene. Kayla Braxton now interviews Styles.

Braxton: “Congratulations AJ, but how hard was it to concentrate on this match as the next challengers are already waiting?”

Saturday Night’s Main Event starts with Elias in the ring.

Elias: “Welcome everybody. How could the comeback of Saturday Night's Main Event start better than with me? To celebrate this night I will sing a song for you.”

Elias wants to start with the song, but is interrupted by John Cena, who comes into the ring.

Cena: “Do you want these people to be forced to leave, Elias? Please don't sing!”

Elias: “Shut up, Cena! Back then, you insulted the crowd with your rap and they walked away. There was nothing worse for me than seeing you when I was a teenager. Why don't you grant the people some good music, John?”

Cena: “That's why I'm here to kick you out of the ring.”

Elias gets angry, attacks Cena and delivers a Drift Away on him. Afterwards Elias sings his song.

Lashley is in the ring and talks about his return to WWE.

Lashley: “It's so damn good to be back. It’s been ten long years and I really missed you guys! I thought my return would be better, but Reigns deserved to win the Triple Threat Match. I am a two times MMA Heavyweight Champion and for sure I will win the WWE Universal or WWE World Championship someday! I'm not afraid of any challenge!”

This is when Braun Strowman comes on the stage.

Strowman: “I am looking for more and strong competition. And it seems like you're looking for an enemy to fight with. Well, here I am! You'll get these hands!”

Lashley: “Then I expect to see you in the ring soon.”

WWE Tag Team Tournament Championship - Round of sixteen

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. The Colon’s

In a bout that had decent wrestling but little heat, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated The Colon's in 3:39 when Kevin Owens defeated Primo Colon by pinfall with a Pop-Up Powerbomb.

After the match Owens and Zayn are in the ring and congratulate each other on their victory and their entry into the quarter finals. That's where Mclntyre comes out and goes straight into the ring. When he arrives in the ring, Owens and Zayn attack him, but the Scotsman can defend himself and kicks Zayn with a Claymore. There's a staredown with Kevin Owens now. The theme of Dean Ambrose sounds and Owens turns to the stage, but Ambrose doesn't come out. When Owens wants to turn back to McIntyre, he also gets the Claymore Kick. McIntyre then grabs a microphone.

McIntyre: “If you ever threaten me again, I will really destroy you!”

Triple H comes out and welcomes everyone to the comeback to Saturday Night's Main Event.

Triple H:” It is great to have you all here! We currently don't have a General Manager for this show, but we will be able to present him in the next weeks! To make the comeback of this great show unforgettable, there will be a Champion vs. Champion Match tonight! In the Main Event the WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins will face the WWE World Champion AJ Styles!”

Jinder Mahal is backstage with Charly Caruso for an interview.

Caruso: “Jinder, you won your United States title at Wrestlemania. Who will be your first challenger?”

Mahal: “Look, there's nobody who deserves to stand in the same ring with Modern Day Maharaja. That's why there won't be a challenger!”

Caruso: “One day you'll have to defend your title, won't you?”

Mahal: “I don't think so, because everyone's afraid of me! I am the best wrestler, the strongest and most intelligent man in the WWE.”

WWE Tag Team Tournament Championship - Round of sixteen

The Authors of Pain vs. Breezango

In a bout that had terrible wrestling and non-existent crowd heat, The Authors of Pain defeated Breezango in 2:53 when Rezar defeated Tyler Breeze by pinfall with a Last Chapter.

Finn Bálor is backstage in his locker room. Goldust enters the room with a golden suit.

Goldust: “Finn, this is for you. This is one step closer to the golden side. You'll look good in that suit.”

Bálor: “What the hell?”

Goldust: “I will help you. As I told you, I see a demon inside you. But you can defeat this demon by switching to the golden side. We should be together. We are supposed to have a golden future. And together we can put gold around our waists.”

Bálor: “I am not interested, you freak.”

After that Bálor pushes Goldust out of his locker room.

Roman Reigns comes on stage and holds a promo.

Reigns: “At Battleground it will happen - I will become your new WWE Universal Champion. At Wrestlemania Lesnar was the better man, but at Battleground I will defeat the beast. Believe that! And after that, there will be a fighting Champion. One who is always there, even at shows like Saturday Night's Main Event. Brock Lesnar is a hell of a man, but he doesn't deserve to be the Champion! He's been holding the title for almost a year and has been defended it five times. He prefers to sit in his armchair and drink some whiskey on his ranch. I am sick and tired oh him. Brock, if you see this, kiss my ass and get the **** out of here!”

Andrade Almas runs backstage with Zelina Vega and they talk. Kalisto and his friend Sin Cara pass by.

Almas: "Zelina, look at these two idiots who dress up and put on masks like on Halloween."

Kalisto: “Shut up. When I look at you, it would be better if you wear a mask, too.”

Vega: “Vega: "Show respect! Andrade Cien Almas is the greatest Mexican wrestler of all time! How dare you talk to him like that?"

Sin Cara: “Before that, you both should have respect for me and Kalisto!”

Almas: “You deserve no respect, you're little dressed-up midgets!"

Kalisto and Sin Cara start to attack Andrade Almas. They kick and hit Almas alternately. At some point they leave Almas on the ground and go away.

Bobby Roode goes backstage to Triple H and wants to talk to him.

Roode: "Hunter, I want to participate in the WWE Tag Team Championship Tournament! I want to make the title glorious again!"

Triple H: "Bobby, to take part in the tournament you need to have a tag team partner and currently you are alone. So you can't participate!"

Roode: " I will have found someone until Monday Night RAW.”

Triple H: "Okay, if you have a partner, you can take part in the tournament. You will then compete against American Alpha."

Roode: "Thanks Hunter! See you Monday."

Triple Threat Match to determine #1 contender for the WWE World Championship

Samoa Joe vs. Randy Orton vs. Big Cass

In a decent match, Randy Orton defeated Samoa Joe and Big Cass in 8:13 when Randy Orton defeated Big Cass by pinfall with a RKO.

After the match the winner Randy Orton grabs a microphone.

Orton: “AJ, I wish you good luck tonight! I will be waiting for you at Battleground!”

AJ Styles comes straight out for his match and faces Randy Orton in the ring. After a small staredown there is a handshake between Styles and Orton.

Champion vs. Champion Match

In a decent match, AJ Styles defeated Seth Rollins in 12:39 by pinfall with a Styles Clash.

After the match Styles celebrates his victory in the ring as Rollins comes to shake hands with him. But suddenly The Miz rushes into the ring and gives Rollins the Skull Crushing Finale! Styles is totally surprised and has then a small staredown with The Miz, who stands laughing in the ring. As Styles tries to attack Miz, he rolls out of the ring. Styles turns around to take his WWE World Championship and out of nowhere gets a RKO from Randy Orton who sneaks up from behind! The Miz comes back to the ring and shakes hands with Orton. Then Miz takes the Intercontinental Championship and Orton the WWE World Championship to celebrate and pose with the title belts.

The show starts with Randy Orton in the ring.

Orton: “Since Saturday a lot of people have been asking me - why? Why did you do that, Randy? The answer is quite simple. Because I'm good at being bad. This is a message to all the other superstars - good old Randy is back! I have had enough of being nice and smiling all the time. I understand, that nice guy always finish last and I am not a nice guy, I am a bad guy! Don’t trust a viper!”

AJ Styles comes out and runs into the ring in rage. He goes straight to Orton and attacks him! The two of them first brawl inside the ring, then outside. After several strokes Styles stays on the ground. Orton takes a run-up and wants to do his Running Punt Kick, but Styles can just escape. As Orton turns around again, he gets the Pelé Kick from Styles. Orton tumbles and Styles empties the commentary table in that time. After that he performs a Styles Clash to Orton on the table. The table breaks and then AJ Styles poses with his WWE World Championship.

Bobby Roode now comes out, because his match with his mystery partner is next.

Roode: "I said I would find a partner, and I found a partner. He is a glorious man with a great past. And in the future we will be the new WWE Tag Team Champions. He is a 14-time Tag Team Champion and also a creek swimming, moonshine sipping, beer drinking, deer skinning, Johnny Cash listening, S.O.B. from middle Tennessee. Here's my tag team partner - James Storm!”

James Storm comes out and is celebrated by the crowd.

WWE Tag Team Championship Tournament - Round of sixteen

American Alpha vs. Beer Money Inc.

In a bout that had sub-par wrestling and little heat, Beer Money Inc. defeated American Alpha in 7:47 when James Storm defeated Chad Gable by pinfall with an Eye of the Storm.

Bobby Lashley enters the ring and looks forward to the match against Strowman.

Lashley: "It will be a battle of the titans! I will do my best to defeat this monster. It will be a very hard match, but I am ready for it This monster will try to hurt me, maybe even kill me - but in the end I will win!”

That's when Braun Strowman comes out with a microphone.

Strowman: “Do you really think you have a chance against me? I am the Monster Among Men and anybody who got my hands now bow down to my feet. Bobby, I may hate your face, but I promise I won't kill you! I'm just gonna break your back in half.”

Lashley: “You've got quite a big mouth. I was in the ring with the greatest MMA fighters and defeated them all! I think you're making yourself greater than you are. You lost to Reigns and Lesnar. Reigns never beat me 1 vs 1 and Lesnar is a tame lion to me. And if I remember correctly, you even lost to Kalisto in a dumpster match?”

Strowman: “An MMA fighter is nothing against me! And do you remember what else I did with Reigns and Kalisto? I destroyed them! And the same will happen to you!”

Jinder Mahal is in the ring to cut a promo.

Mahal: “Hello, you unworthy American people. I'm your United States Champion, so bow down to me and cheer for the Modern Day Maharaja. I earned the title at Wrestlemania and won a Fatal Four Way Match. And you disrespect me? You should be on your knees begging me to kiss my feet. You should beg me that your child may carry my name. But no, you're all just stupid idiots! I have no respect for you, you guys eat fast food all over the day and you wonder how you get fat.”

Angle: "Tonight you will defend your United States Title! It will be an open challenge and everyone can accept the challenge. There won't be any excuses.”

Mahal: “Is that how you deal with a Maharaja? Your United States Champion? I am the greatest and strongest WWE Superstar in history! Show me some respect!”

Angle: “The greatest? The strongest? Then prove it. Your match is next!”

WWE United States Championship Match

In a terrible match, Kalisto defeated Jinder Mahal in 9:27 by disqualification.

During the fight, the theme of Andrade Almas was played to distract Kalisto. Mahal used a Small Package, but Kalisto was able to escape from it. Kalisto could then delivers the Salida del Sol on Mahal, but he rolled himself out of the ring. Kalisto is attacked backwards by Almas and gets a Hammerlock DDT. The Referee stops the match and Kalisto wins via DQ. But Almas does not stop after that and continues to fight Kalisto. After a short time Mahal comes into the ring again and joins the attack. The attack ends with a Khallas by Mahal and another Hammerlock DDT by Almas.

Charly Caruso now holds an interview with SAnitY.

Caruso: "Last week at SmackDown there was a big brawl between you and The New Day. Tonight you will compete in the WWE Tag Team Championship Tournament against each other. Will we see another chaos?”

Young: “SAnitY stands for chaos.”

Caruso: “Anything else you want to say about that?”

Young: “No, that's all I'm saying.”

Johnny Gargano comes on stage and makes his way into the ring. But on the ramp he is attacked by Neville! Neville kicks him a bunch of times and then rolls him into the ring. Then he takes Gargano into the Rings of Saturn for a while. Gargano taps, but Neville doesn't release the hold. Gargano then lies exhausted on the ground - Neville climbs onto the top rope and performs a Red Arrow. Neville leaves the ring pissed off.

WWE Tag Team Championship Tournament - Round of sixteen

SAnitY (Eric Young & Alexander Wolfe w/ Kilian Dain) vs. The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods w/ Kofi Kingston)

In a terrible match, The New Day defeated SAnitY in 8:40 when Xavier Woods defeated Alexander Wolfe by pinfall with a quick roll up.

After the match Kilian Dain enters the ring to support Wolfe and Young. Dain gets his hands on Woods and gives him a Bicycle Kick. Meanwhile Big E and Kingston roll out of the ring and pull Woods out of it. SAnitY stays in the ring and The New Day celebrate their victory and leave the stage.

The Uso's come into the ring for a promo.

Jimmy Uso: “Yo, last week we were in Paige's office and wanted a rematch for the World Tag Team Championships. And then these psychopaths come and hit us with their hammers?”

Jey Uso: “They may have won the titles at Wrestlemania, but we are still the best tag team in the WWE. We didn't even lose the title directly, because the hillbillies pinned The New Day!”

The Bludgeon Brothers come out now. The Uso's get ready for a Brawl in the ring. As Harper and Rowan enter the ring, The Uso's throw both of them out of the ring with a Clothesline. After that Jey and Jimmy Uso take a run-up and attack The Bludgeon Brothers with a Over The Top Rope Crossbody Dive.

A new episode of MizTV is about to start with the host The Miz and his wife Maryse.

Miz: “Tonight the reigning Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins will be my guest. Unfortunately he will lose the title soon, please give him a warm round of applause.”

Seth Rollins comes out and into the ring. Even before he sits on the chair, Miz starts to talk.

Miz: “Seth, how do you feel about realizing that you're about to become a former champion?”

Rollins: “Miz, have you noticed? You bore everyone here. Everybody hates you. And you're just getting on my nerves!”

Miz: “It wasn't long ago that people hated you too. You betrayed your best friends and attacked them backwards. You joined the Authority and tried to snatch the power. You were WWE Champion and lost the title twice to your former best friends.”

Rollins: “I know what this is all about. You want to provocate me, but you won't make it. What happened is history. The fact is that I talked to Roman and Dean and we made up again. What about your former best friends? Johnny Nitro? Alex Riley? I think you don't really get along so well any more.”

Miz: “Shut up, Seth! I am the host here, not you! I will reveal negative facts about you, not you about me! I am a two times United States Champion, a six times Tag Team Champion, a eight times Intercontinental Champion and a one-time WWE World Champion! My career is much bigger than yours!”

Rollins: “You have achieved a lot Miz, but you will never be a nine time Intercontinental Champion! Like my brother would say to Roman: Believe that!”

Now it's enough for Miz, and he goes for Rollins. But Rollins can dodge the attack and give Miz a Superkick. Then Miz has to take The Stomp. Rollins leaves the ring celebrating.

Singles Match

Daniel Bryan vs. Shelton Benjamin

In a decent match, Daniel Bryan defeated Shelton Benjamin in 8:21 by submission with a Yes! Lock.

Dolph Ziggler is backstage with Charly Caruso.

Caruso: "Dolph, at the moment you stay out of the action. Do you still have big plans for 2018?"

Ziggler: “Unfortunately I lost the match for a possible WWE Universal Championship opportunity. But I'm gonna go for the title again and show everyone my great wrestling skills.”

Caruso: “Tonight you have a match against Finn Bálor in the main event of RAW. What are your chances for a win?”

Ziggler: “The chances are good, as far as I know, Bálor hasn' t joined the golden side yet. No, fun aside. Bálor does not play in my league. I will win the match - quite simply.”

John Cena is in the ring and calls out Elias.

Elias: “Elias, get your ass in the ring here.”

Elias comes on stage and sits down on a stool. He starts to sing a song about John Cena which is about Cena finally retiring.

Cena: "Elias, come into the ring and face me. I want to settle it here in front of this great crowd tonight! I no longer want to play these mind games!”

Elias: “Challenge accepted. I'm coming.”

Elias goes into the ring and a referee comes, too. The ring speaker Jojo introduces John Cena. But before she introduces Elias, he takes his guitar and pulls it over Cena's head!

Elias: “If there is a match between us, then I will decide the place and the time! It will take place on Sunday, April week 3! At Battleground!”

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn come angry on stage.

Owens: "We thought everything was bad at SmackDown before the end of the roster split. But now the Scots are really lunatics. McIntyre should go back to the Kingdom and put on his kilt there!"

Zayn: "Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan were tyrants. And Drew McIntyre is just a madman. He should be locked up!"

Owens: “Someone's got to set Mclntyre limits! And if no general manager in the world take action, we will take it!”

Zayn: “Drew, we're challenging you to a match! A two on one handicap match on Saturday Night's Main Event!”

Owens: “We don't need an answer, see you there!”

Singles Match

Finn Bálor vs. Dolph Ziggler

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Dolph Ziggler defeated Finn Balór in 14:14 by pinfall with a Zig Zag after a distraction from Goldust.

During the match Goldust comes out on the stage und offers Bálor once again the switch to the golden side. Bálor twists his eyes and gets the Zig Zag from Ziggler and loses the match. After the match Goldust comes to the ring and gives Bálor a Curtain Call. He then pulls out the golden suit for Bálor and puts it on him. He also paints Bálor's face with gold colour.

Goldust: "Welcome to the golden side, Demon!"

Kurt Angle enters the ring for the contract signing for the match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at Battleground. One after the other, Reigns and Lesnar with Heyman enter the ring. First, Reigns signs the contract.

Reigns: "I am so looking forward to the match, I will take the WWE Universal Championship away from you!"

Then Paul Heyman speaks for the first time.

Heyman: “Ladies and Gentleman, my name is Paul Heyman and I am the advocate of the reigning, defending WWE Universal Champion. My client Brock Lesnar won't sign this contract as long as Roman Reigns is in the ring. So please, Kurt, send Reigns away.”

Kurt Angle goes over to Reigns and whispers something to him. Reigns seems to be very miffed about it.

Reigns: “Lesnar, you're a big coward. At Battleground, you can't just run away.”

He then leaves the ring. Lesnar and Heyman laugh in the ring and Lesnar signs the contract. Lesnar and Heyman laugh in the ring and Lesnar tears up the contract.

Lesnar: "There will be no match. I have already defeated Reigns at Wrestlemania. Why should I defend my title against him again?"

Angle didn't see that coming and looks shocked. Reigns is also shocked and sprints back into the ring to confront Lesnar! But he only gets Lesnar's F5 through the table that's in the ring.

Heyman: "So, Mr Reigns. You just don't learn. You'll never have a chance against the beast Brock Lesnar.”

Lesnar pulls out a piece of paper and it turns out that this was the contract! Lesnar tore up a fake piece of paper. He signs this one and throws it on Reigns.
