Is anyone else having trouble getting the picture pack to sync up? I really hope I don't have to do it manually, but I've got everything set right (I'm pretty sure) and it's not showing up with any pictures at all.

EDIT: Also, all WWE PPVs are set for 2 hours, rather than 3?

Some things I noticed:

- Yasushi Kanda being set to have referee as default role can be a tad problematic down the line I think. Would work better to have him tied to a ref-only contract to expire in six months(IIRC he returned as a wrestler around june or july 2006) so that he then re-signs as a wrestler. Then again, not sure if that would cause an issue with the AI keeping him as a ref or releasing the guy altogether.

- NJPW should probably not be that popular at this point since this is the "should we really run The Dome?" era. I get that the momentum will tank attendances but them being as popular in Japan as WWE in the US is a tad far-fetched.

- Personal opinion:them having the weekly TV show while being touring is kinda pointless since the show itself is tour highlights. Same goes for NOAH and DG.

- Other personal opinion:I'd love to have Yukinori Taniguchi at least as an user character since he buys NJPW at around that time(I've been told in another thread Inoki Jr. was still in charge for a while, however)

- If I'm not mistaken Toryumon Mexico at this point was basically Dragon booking a big show when he felt like it. Cagematch mentions only two shows of them in 2006, in fact.

- I love the fact you added several figureheads to the promotions, but most of them are sacked by the AI in day one due to low SQ and Charisma.

Thank you for all of your work, I'm really looking forward to going long-term with this.

It took a little bit of looking around to understand how the SQ ratings were assigned but by and large I see where you're going with them. Much the same could be said about company popularity. I do share the concern about TNA's vulnerability, but perhaps selective Loyalty would be a better fix? Abyss, at least, seems to be Loyal to that company and AJ Styles probably was as well.

I was a little surprised by Raven's Performance skills. If you listen to the man himself, he describes his style as getting a few moves in and then selling for the rest of the match. That's self-effacing (it's easy to remember Raven's signature offence) but his selling was very effective. So I'm not sure why his Selling is at the same level as Abyss and Nash, neither of whom really got over that way.

Some of the Psychology levels for road agents and future road agents seem out of kilter. Vince McMahon, for instance, is probably not better at laying out matches than Pat Patterson or Gerald Brisco. (Indeed, I'm not sure that McMahon needs a high Psychology skill at all.) Similar remarks could be made about Paul Heyman - he was definitely one of the best at putting shows together and booking his talent, but I'm not sure that implies exceptional ring Psychology. Shane Douglas being ahead of Konnan doesn't feel right when Douglas doesn't go on to much backstage while Konnan definitely does.

Anyway, thanks for all the hard work!

Abyss being loyal to TNA is a good shout, and has been added. I'm a bit hesitant to make AJ loyal to them because ultimately he wasn't/isn't, and I also think it limits the possibilities of him turning up elsewhere.

I think Raven was/is highly underestimated, especially at this time because it seemed like everyone thought he was over the hill because he shined so brightly in ECW but then got wasted by the 'E before turning up in TNA. His selling is slightly above Abyss and Kevin Nash but you're right, he could definitely go higher and has been now been updated.

A lot of my Psychology stats are based on knowledge and experience, more than anything. For example, Vince McMahon has been rated so highly because love him or hate him, that bloke has been in this business long enough to know what constitutes as a great match. You're right that he could probably be brought down a little bit to reflect that he relies more heavily on the people he hires, but I stand by him still having a good Psychology stat. As for Heyman, I'd agree that if the statistic was solely "In-Ring Psychology" then yes, he'd probably be rated lower but as it's one of the main statistics used in deciding whether a worker is a good road agent or not, I decided he deserved to be rated highly as for me, he is and always has been one of the best. And finally, I try not to let what workers go on to do in the real life future dictate these sort of statistics. I don't particularly mind Shane Douglas having slightly higher psychology than Konnan despite Konnan doing much more, as in real life there are other factors that decide employment, like Konnan having a lot of friends in high places and Douglas taking himself out of the business, largely.

Thank you for your comment, and I hope to hear more in the future. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I would suggest changing the max weight for the WWE Cruiserweight title to lightweight, as Val Venis just won it in my game

Yeah, this is a tough one. For every Val Venis, there is a Matt Hardy who although he's technically a Middleweight has competed for the Cruiserweight Championship. Just looking at the WWE roster at the start of the game, you'd lose the potential of Carlito, Kenny, Matt Hardy, Nicky, Orlando Jordan, Rob Van Dam, Shane McMahon, Shelton Benjamin and Stevie Richards all winning/challenging for the title. Although none of them are your atypical Cruiserweights, they're all people I'd personally look at in a game and potentially give them a push in the division. I almost wish there was a "Lower Middleweight" option. xD I'll throw it out there in the future maybe and see what everyone else thinks, because if more people agree with you, then it's something I'm certainly willing to change.

Are you going to add more future debuts?

Yes, a whole load more. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I'm actually in the midst of speaking with Bigpapa42 who has offered some assistance in this regard.

Is anyone else having trouble getting the picture pack to sync up? I think I'd prefer to leave it how it is for the very reasons you state, as the way it simulates now is probably the best we're going to get out of TEW.

As far as I know, NJPW were still highly popular at this time (and very much similar in popularity to the 'E in America) but it was very much based on what they had done in previous years, as opposed to what they were doing at the time. As you say, they'll soon fall due to their momentum if something isn't changed quickly, which is exactly how I want it to simulate.

Oh, and I totally agree about there (and everyone else in Japan's) shows being slightly pointless but unfortunately, that's how they work in TEW as of right now. I'm always happier to include them though to show they have TV deals and also give players the possibilities of changing it all around without having to fight for TV deals. It's just one of those things; Japanese puroresu is always hard to simulate in TEW.

I also believe Simon Kelly Inoki is in charge for a little longer, but I have no problem adding Yukinori Taniguchi. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Yes, Toryumon Mexico wasn't what you'd call a "consistent promotion" at this time but again, TEW doesn't exactly lend itself well to this sort of promotion but as I wanted to add them, it's basically the only way I could add them.

I had a similar problem in Territory Daze with Figureheads being dropped but I'd still rather have them included at the start of the game than have none at all.

Thank you for your comment. I'll change it however as you're right, because he doesn't start using it properly until later.

Thanks for the reply. I take the point about the limited tools for representing backstage staff. (Hopefully the next TEW will add "creativity" or some similar stat for the likes of Heyman and Bruce Prichard!)

There seem to be a few somewhat notable workers missing. I can't find Shawn "Hotstuff" Hernandez and he's definitely active in 2006 - and perhaps should have positive chemistry with Homicide? Chris Kanyon also seems to be missing, though it's a much smaller miss as he was down to a handful of matches a year by this point. None of the Hebners are in - Dave could be skipped but Brian and Earl should be included.

I think that Ultimate Warrior should be set to a semi-active wrestler on hiatus with very poor stats. There were a lot of rumors about Warrior coming in for TNA in ‘06 and he said that he’d be interested in working a match with Goldberg. Let’s not forget his technical masterclass against Orlando Jordan in ‘08 in Barcelona.

Also, I think that A.J. Styles should be in a storyline against Shannon Moore and should only be a minor member in the Joe vs. Daniels storyline. Moore had just cost Styles and Daniels in a NWA World Tag Team Championship March and tried to interfere in Styles’ match against Tanahashi at Final Resolution.

I'm thinking maybe NOAH and AJPW can do with a non aggression agreement because in the first week they always seem to sign up top NOAH guys. This could also probably be averted simply by dropping the company a bit so they don't have roster expectations (through size or owner preferences).

I was also thinking of suggesting to give DG some non aggression deals as well to simulate how they were isolated from the rest of Japan and their guys only really existed in Dragon Gate (as far as domestically), but eventually their guys would start to venture to other places so it's hard to call.

Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan could probably do with a drop in SQ since they're old. Would also say Shinsuke Nakamura pre mexico/chaos/heel run is probably overstated charisma wise currently.

25 year old Nicky/Dolph Ziggler with one year exp would probably be the best worker on the ROH roster currently. Not sure if it says more about them or him, but it stands out right now. Mostly the performance skills considering his experience level, they're on par with Danielson and Styles.

Your argument to drop Styles to a minor role in the storyline between Joe and Daniels is a good shout however, but with Joe defeating Styles at Turning Point to become the new TNA X Division Champion and then attacking and attempting to injure Styles in a manner similar to the way he injured Daniels at Genesis, I think it's fair to include AJ at this point. I thought the best way to simulate it was to give most of the Dragon Gate guys loyalty with the promotion (if memory serves me right, over half the roster has loyalty with DG) so they don't really go anywhere but unfortunately, there's not really a good way to simulate that they didn't work with anyone else at all really until later.

Three good suggestions, and all taken into account. I'm going to have to think about Flair and Hogan because I'd still - just by looking at them and imagining I know nothing about pro wrestling - think they're stars.
I'm sure everyone will have their own thoughts on what they would like to see added going forward.
I feel like it’s also a show and prove kind of thing as well which is why it’s so hard for current day mods. How many people in say 2006 would have predicted Danielson to be a cornerstone of WWE and one of their biggest guys of the 2000s, or AJ Styles having a year long reign with the WWE title?

On the other hand when Brock Lesnar first showed up everyone pretty much unanimously agreed he was a can’t miss prospect. Matt Riddle had a seemless transition from MMA and became one of the most buzz worthy talents with less than 5 years under his belt and no major (television) backing.

Ricochet definitely benefitted from getting in better shape over the years, which is possible in game as well.

It gets hard because there is no way white meat babyface Rock was gonna be the biggest star in the history of wrestling, but his SQ was always fairly obvious. There’s really no way to simulate finally getting that good gimmick or angle to push you into the upper echelon like it did for Rock or Edge or a dozen others who were stagnant despite having visible potential.

For me SQ is something you get over time, by achviements and of what you are remembered. Matt Riddle, Keith Lee, Ricochet all good maybe exceptional wrestlers... but for me low star quality. Matt Hardy has for me more SQ than Ricochet. That can change over time, of course.

Fair enough. That's just not how the game represents it. So choosing SQ based on an approach that doesn't fit with the game mechanic becomes a bit problematic.

First up thanks for your efforts - it's a very strong entry in the mods. I'm going to mention a few people below who were active in 2006 and become important within 2 years of the mods start date but don't appear to be in the data currently as I believe adding them would add to the realism and immersion of the mod.

I'd suggest going through current real world mods like The Who and RWC and working out who should be active in 2006 or thereabouts. Not for everybody of course but for those people who are the right age bracket to become significant in your mod but aren't included now.

Madison Eagles had already tried out for OVW back in 2003, worked for places like HWA and trained at ROH & CHIKARA and made numerous US appearances. It was 2007 where she founded PWA & PWWA in Australia and 2008 when she hits the USA and Canada full force and becomes a large part of the catalyst for the resurgence of Womens wrestling in the US. She's such a vital part of the next few years in the world of wrestling that her absence is jarring. She's not the only person whose absence is an issue just an obvious example.

In terms of Australia Ryan Eagles was also active and new Bullet Club member Robbie Eagles would be a future debut in March 08. Jessie McKay (Billie Kay) debuts June 07, KC Cassidy (Peyton Royce) Feb 09, Matt Silva (Buddy Murphy) in 2007. The Basso Brothers were active as of 2003. Kellie Skater debuts in March 2007.

Mike Kruel isn't anywhere to be seen which surprises me as he was a guy who was an important part of the WWE development areas around this time till his release in 2009 - he debuts in OVW in July 06. Milena Roucka had competed in the Diva Search in 2006 and signed a Dev contract and was his offsider. Oleg Prudius (Vladimir Koslov) had signed his Dev contract on 17th Jan 2006 again he ended up with Kruel's stable.

Anthony Carelli was with OVW between 2005 and 2007 when he was called up as Santino Marella - he ws using the moniker - Boris Alexiev (it was in 2005 that Cornette slapped him and lost his job).

Mark Copani (Muhammad Hassan) had been released in 2005 and there was still a real chance that somewhere like TNA would make him an offer at this point.

Shawn Spears (Tye Dillinger) signs his dev contract 21 Jan 2006. He had already appeared on RAW being Superkicked by HBK in an angle.

Cody Runnels debuts in OVW in June 2006.

Lindsay Kay Howard (Isis the Amazon) was active late 2006.

There are some Japanese workers who should be active early in 2006 - Tetsuya Naito who had been training for a number of years and debuted for NJPW in May 2006 for instance.

Hey Mammoth, amazing work you've done on this <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I have a suggestion that follows very much into the "nice-to-have" rather than a bug or an important addition: Make the WWWA complete with lineages.

Reason:

1) AJW had only gone bankrupt eight months before the start, so the belts weren't quite dead and buried yet.

2) It could be nice to pick the belts up in a different promotion.

3) It would flesh out title histories of many female workers.

I think Mistico should have boost in popularity and skills

He was WON wrestler of the year 2006 and biggest box office draw in that year.

15k+ people were coming to CMLL shows just to see him.

He eventually got award for biggest box office draw from 2000-2010

Great work man
