Video Game Mafia 3 - Microtransaction Mafia (GAME COMPLETE!)

Even reading along not in the game, which tends to give me a clearer picture, I was convinced Rev and Crychon were in it together. So little help I would have been.

And yeah, total apologies for going AWOL - I genuinely completely forgot about this game. My play was for no other reason than to create conversation, as I've been part of a few "dead" games where mafia cruise to a win because the town talk. My vote was purely on the basis that I thought a scum mlt would target Derek N1, but my claim was ridiculous purely to stir conversation, rather than railroad a lynch on no information. In the small amount of time I was around it had already been pointed out that it was almost impossible for me to know what I openly thought had happened (well, it was call impossible but it could have happened... if I was either in the scum group or in my most hated thing in mafia - a mason group with powers (which clearly wasn't in a game this size)). I know as a double voter I should have taken a taken a more laid back role, but I thought the dynamics of the game were more important.

Obviously I completely screwed that up by vanishing, leaving town to wait for me to confirm if I did or didn't have anything. Scum didn't even have to push towards me as the lynch on me that phase was absolutely the correct move (and I'm glad that the town did make the lynch, rather than push the arguments into another day). It was certainly a "whoops" moment when I suddenly remembered the game. So I laid my cards on the table when I came back (which were - "I know nothing, and even my gut is wrong!"), apart from the fact I was a double voter, as revealing that info would only help scum (double voters or rarer town vote manips are risky for scum at end game at LOL - knowing there isn't one allows them to bundle on a vote revealing the entire team with no risk of it going wrong).

Although technically mafia cruised this game, it was actually competitive. It could have easily gone a different was in that last phase, heading towards endgame with Leoin as last scum standing. Could have been tight! In the end, scum choose their kills well, and gently stirred trouble without revealing to much (until LOL of course).

So, what do we have to remember? If Rev is alive in late game, he's scum .

Oh, and to remember you're playing mafia if you're playing mafia :o

But to be fair now, it was the first game in a while and Astil did make the sneaky move of mixing signup and game thread into one beast. Look back to my first post of the game and you'll notice that latter point threw me too. A fact the heat of the moment caused me to forget until after we'd lynched you. Oh well, water under the bridge. We did what we could with what we were able to know in the moment. There will be other games for the town and hopefully more successful ones as well

I've rarely seen reviewers getting into the game just to mock games. That seemed strange to me.

Much like the whole "Gamer at heart" wording really didn't make sense to me. As someone who formerly worked in the game industry, even the highest executives were gamers at heart, they just had kind of weird taste in games. I dunno, I didn't work for EA, though. I also didn't see how a Let's Player would be telling whether people were gamers at heart at all, so I think I got hung up on flavor a lot toward the end.

I can certainly understand this. When I first received my role, I was rather surprised too. It seemed like a bizarre way to protect something. Almost like Astil had gotten the idea while watching a Monty Python movie. Not to mention that a town Critic seemed like an obvious Miller role and yet Astil didn't have me so designed. I just had to chalk things up to "Well I guess this would be how a Critic would be protective" and roll with it.
