The Puerto Rican Exchange won. E+. Singles Match Thirty Minute Time Limit vs. El Mitico Jr. versus “Intrepid” Ian Identity In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, El Mítico Jr defeated Intrepid Ian Identity in 11:47 by pinfall with a Northern Lights Suplex. D+ Sgt. Bison cuts a backstage promo. C. Tag Team Match Thirty Minute Time Limit [Pictures Not Available] vs. w/ OLLIE’s Shadow Riders versus Samoan Demolition w/ Streetz In a bout that had sub-par wrestling and little heat, Samoan Demolition defeated The Shadow Riders in 12:08 when King Malietoa defeated La Sombra Jr by pinfall with a Devil's Drop. Cosmic Rider was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance. D. A freestyle segment called 'Streetz Hypes His Gang' featuring Streetz, Charger Siaki, King Malietoa and The Brisbane Devil. C-. Semi Main Event Singles Match Thirty Minute Time Limit vs. Blue Tiger versus “The Straight Shooter” Joel Bryant In a decent match, Blue Tiger defeated Joel Bryant in 14:26 by pinfall with a quick roll up. D+ Main Event Sixty Minute Time Limit vs. “The Man Without Fear” Sonny Wildside versus “Flawless” Franklin Rush © In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Franklin Rush defeated Sonny Wildside in 17:40 by pinfall with a Smart Spike. Both had been good members of the roster who were featured but never quite find the spots I was hoping for them to find. Sonny had defeated Hellion -- I was going to push Sonny hard as the underdog, but it stalled out. He did really good in the feud with The Devil’s Rejects and hopefully in CGC he would be able to achieve the success I knew he was destined for. Ian was a kid I had used really well. A lot of wins in the middle and upper middle of the card. I had hoped that I could get him primed to be a major heel in main events for us, but he never quite reached that spot. I was looking forward to our third installment of Fire on the Mountain. We were going to be debuting Chill on this show -- he had been working for SWF before not being offered a contract extension a few months ago. When no one else picked him up, I decided to offer him a spot with us. We were also going to be debuting the Rocky Mountain Wrestling Hall of Fame. We’d been open long enough that we could now highlight some of the people who had been here before. The first ceremony was going to be limited to three inductions. I knew who the first one had to be -- the other two spots… I could go with a team and a singles, I could go two teams, or two singles. I had ideas -- I just wanted to run them by Joel, Marj, and Riley to see what my three advisors were thinking. Special Attraction Singles Match Thirty Minute Time Limit Fro Sure versus Bryan Vessey w/ Lisa Bowen Tough call, but I don't see you immediately pulling the trigger on Fro Sure and Vessey can build back some credibility before laying down for your big time guys. Edit- I originally missed the part about all entrants holding gold, si I swapped out the boss. The late Jeb, Joel Bryant, and I guess I’ll go with Running Wolf. Since Riley is still very active in the company and should have many years I don’t think he goes in. Although it would maybe add to his gimmick perhaps. By being excluded I think it adds more to his character of being under appreciated. I struggle with HOF nods to still active wrestlers but I think Bryant is retiring, and Jeb is a definite. There's a small Jebediah chant. There are probably six hundred people here for the induction ceremony. A lot of them have been coming to Rocky Mountain Wrestling shows since the first show -- The Climb. Many of them saw Jebediah pin Steve Flash in the main event of The Climb. They saw him defeat Hardcore Killah at the first ever No Law or Order event. He was in the main event of the first ever Wrestling Summit. He was a fitting first entrant.</p><p> </p><p> "Our second entrants into the Rocky Mountain Wrestling Hall of Fame were the first ever Rocky Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Champions. They held the titles on two occasions. For our first two years they were staples in the title picture. Marjorie looks down the aisle. Standing there is the reigning Rocky Mountain Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. He's flanked by the six foot eight, three hundred seventy-six pound Jeffrey Aroma. I'm the most decorated wrestler in Rocky Mountain Wrestling history. Two times I have been Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion. I've been Rocky Mountain Tag Team Champion. I've won Gold Rush. I've won the Oxford Invitational. I've been the COTT World Heavyweight Champion. I am the Cornerstone of Rocky Mountain Wrestling and I DEMAND to be inducted into the Hall of Fame."</p><p> </p><p> Marjorie looks at him confused, "But I can't just..."</p><p> </p><p> Riley waves a hand through the air to silence her and he climbs onto the podium and looks out onto the crowd. He holds a hand out and Jeffrey Aroma places a plaque in his hand. "Our last inductee tonight is the most important one." </p><p> </p><p> Marjorie tries to step forward but Aroma holds out a massive hand.</p><p> </p><p> Riley, "It is, of course, The Cornerstone. I've been here since day one and I'm still here. I'm the only one who has never left. The only one who has been here since that very first show without ever leaving. My pedigree has been well documented. My accomplishments are well known and tonight I take my rightful place in the Hall of Fame -- and there's not a person who can stop me. You're all welcome."</p><p> </p><p> Riley holds his plaque up high before motioning at Aroma with his head. The two men walk off and Marjorie is just left there by herself. She takes a deep breath.</p><p> </p><p> Marjorie, "Uh.. If you all want to take your seats... We're going to open the doors for everyone else and get the show started... We got to honor Jebediah, the Aces of Mayhem, and Running Wolf while running an angle for Riley -- who I wanted to put in the Hall but did not want to have him break the kayfabe of his new heel character. It provided the perfect cover for us.</p><p> </p><p> Now we were in month six of the year. This would put us halfway through the year. RMW Live #17 was an important benchmark for us -- we were using this to setup a crucial storyline for the shows to come. Plus, I only had three installments of live to get ready for September’s Top Graduate tournament.
