He had never wanted to be a professional wrestler. He did not grow up a wrestling fan. It had not been his thing. Sure, he would watch it on Saturday mornings when he was with his grandparents. He saw Sam Strong and Bruce the Giant and Nemesis and Christian Faith and all of the normal stars -- but it had never been his thing. He had wanted to be a powerlifter. He discovered it playing football in highschool and it had become his passion. He had done well as a bodybuilder. He’d entered competitions. He had won some. He had lost some, but he had achieved his goal. Then he tore a muscle in his shoulder and couldn’t lift and needed to do something different -- that something different became pro wrestling. He was doing cardio in the gym when he was recruited. Some representative of WWA:USA saw him and that that he could make a go of it. Clinton didn’t put much stock into it. Play fighting in his underwear for money? He passed. Until the representative showed him the checks that the top guys in the business made. That Runaway Train guy? Huge money. Marat Kholov? He made seven figures for one match in Japan. </p><p> </p><p>

Clinton Westybrook did not love professional wrestling, but he loved the idea of making money and becoming a star. Maybe he would transition into something else. He wasn’t a young man. He was already in his early thirties. He came to wrestling late in life. He was enjoying it, but he knew he wasn’t going to wrestle for twenty years. He needed to make an impact. He needed to become a star as quickly as possible. He was a natural athlete. He had taken to the business very well -- and despite not having grown up a fan, he was discovering that he kind of liked it. He wouldn’t quite say he loved it, but there was a certain camaraderie in the locker room. There was a certain fraternal element to it that was very fulfilling.</p><p> </p><p>

Clinton Westybrook wanted to be a star. He wanted to make the money of a star. He wanted to have the fame of a star and parlay that into a career post wrestling. Movies. Television. Something. He knew that he had to work hard, get over, and really apply himself. So that is what he was doing. He didn’t have to love it to work hard and give it his best. Maybe one day he would love the business. Maybe. </p><p> </p><p>

He had translated being in the wrestling business for the money into his on-screen personality. He was a prized fighting strongman. He yelled at the fans that he wanted the money of winning. It got him good heat. It made him a hated heel -- and he liked that part of it. He liked the heat. He liked the reactions and knowing he could control people’s emotions like that. He loved playing up his desire to make money and then get out. It worked. It was like hitting a double bicep on stage and hearing everyone applad -- except much more visceral and almost addictive. Say what you will, the wrestling business was an odd business -- but it was an addictive business.</p><p> </p><p>

He would be a star. He would be a top heel. He knew it. He’d figure out the rest after that.</p>

Otherwise, I feel it gets stagnant. To me, wrestling should work in a cycle. You rise to the top while someone else comes down. Then you ride back up. </p><p> </p><p> Look at Riley. He has unquestionably been my top used guy throughout the diary but he hasn’t had a NA title match in two years and hasn’t been in a singles title picture for a year and a half, but he’s still a top guy too.</p>

Amazing shows and I loved the narratives, especially Paul Huntington! I have played many of saves with SWF and have, on several occasions, tried to push Paul to the ME scene and he just never could keep up. His ratings just were never good enough. So I am interested in seeing what you do.

The Georgia Bulldogs are huge fan favorites in the Northwest and Gangsta Nation has become an incredibly hot heel act led by the never-stopping mouth of platinum recording artist Brother G. The two teams went at it -- with KC and Riley trying to work a technical-based match, but Ali and Muvva trying to make the match resort to a brawl and an exchange of fists.</p><p> </p><p> KC and Muvva took it to the floor. KC hit a huge tornado DDT, spinning off the ring apron onto the floor. The crowd got very excited with this move, but it did cause Brother G to try and get in the ring. Official Ray Johnson got engaged in arguing with Brother. The crowd started didn’t know how to react when Buck Winchester and Wes Revell hoped the ringside barricade. Revell went right after KC Glenn on the outside. He’s wearing cowboy boots and he hit a running Yazuka kick right to the head of KC Glenn. Winchester rolled into the ring and blindsided McManus from the back. This allowed Sayeed Ali to hit the G.B.H. Driver.</p><p> </p><p> Hustle Muvva and Sayeed Ali defeated Georgia Bulldogs in 13:51 when Sayeed Ali defeated Riley McManus by pinfall with a G.B.H. At six feet ten inches, Ranger had the height and weight advantage on Spade -- which gave him the reach advantage. Ranger was definitely the aggressor in the match. Spade was wrestling a defensive match -- trying not to lose -- while Ranger was trying to win.</p><p> </p><p> Lisa Bowen made her presence known when she tripped up Ranger. It drew admonishment from Senior Official Darren Smith, but it did allow Spade to gain control of the match. Spade tried to cut the big man down, but Ranger was able to stay on his feet. Ranger hit a huge big boot that looked like it took Spencer’s head off. Spencer blocked a Global Meltdown and went right into a Supreme Stunner for the victory.</p><p> </p><p> Spencer Spade defeated Ranger in 19:08 by pinfall with a Supreme Stunner. I'm hoping Ash can continue to deliver this level of match! It was definitely an incredible surprise.

 

There will *not* be a Sexy Dojo story or narrative, haha. It's just what Joe Sexy's dojo is named.

 

And I don't know what Historian gonna Historian means -- unless that means continue to deliver excellently booked shows . Cali's loss to Brandon was for their feud and for what comes next for them. It's definitely not the end of Cali being pushed.
