I definitely was not expecting all the love for BSS! He's not on the full-time roster, he was actually a hire local. Apparently, he now resides in the Northwest and I was looking through the list on show day, he was there, and I decided to put him against KC. I had no idea so many of you would be loving the Smacker. Maybe he'll come back!

January was a good month. A very good month. We debuted our new secondary show -- and while there was some struggle on that first show -- it did its job. We are putting out more graduates from the Rocky Mountain School of Wrestling and I wanted them to have a platform to perform. They were relative unknowns and if I could put them on a show with some veteran talent like Art and Joel -- as well as Acid, they can work with the young guys and help bring them up to speed.

It was tough to make the call to go with Joel as the first Can-Am Champion. I did not want to seem like I was showing favoritism to my best friend, but right now he’s the guy on our full time roster who has had the most national exposure. He’s a very good wrestler and a good mentor. With him as the Can-Am Champion, I could pair with with guys like Sonny, Clyde and the like to help get them to where they are really ready for bigger runs. Art could work with the young heels. It was going to be good. I was confident about that.

Our Second Anniversary was very well received. The Gods of Thunder got to win back the COTT World Tag Team Championship that they lost last summer. They are still the premier tag team on the independent scene and it was only fitting that they get the belts back at our anniversary. Fred and Josh had been nothing but professional and had been very good influences on the locker room.

I also made the decision to switch the Heavyweight strap to Running Wolf. He’s our most over babyface. He’s been putting on great performances and I wanted to send the fans home happy. The feud between Riley McManus and The Hazard Gang was picking up some steam. I knew where I wanted it to go -- so it was nice to put everything in place. Scott came in for the night and really impressed the locker room, I might have to see if he wants to come in on a semi-regular basis. I don’t know if I can afford to use him with any regularity, though. I would have to see.

The Rocky Mountain Sports Network was very pleased with how our shows were performing. We were getting a consistent following and now that we were doing two shows a month we were providing them with On Demand content -- plus Michael and Herb were going back and doing commentary on all of our early shows so we could make them available On Demand as well.

Marjorie was doing a great job with her new position as the Director of Television and New Media. She graduated in December so January was her first full-time month. She directs the live shows, but she has also taken over our social media accounts. She has been working on shooting some promos with some of our talent to air on YouTube throughout the month to help build interest in our shows. It was nice having my oldest kid work with me too. We were becoming a family operation. She told me she was doing The Devil’s Rejects first to get them a little publicity. And then Clyde. I couldn’t wait to see those...

Smith is a new comer and not yet tested in Rocky Mountain. Sure he’s had success elsewhere but that don’t mean squat. He’s a got to prove himself and I think Dillon has earned this title reign....at least until he drops it to Mr Rocky Mountain Wrestling himself! The Georgia Bulldog!
