Hello fans of Rocky Mountain Wrestling -- and fans of professional wrestling in general. My name is Marjorie Oxford and I am bringing a special announcement to you all today. In April, Rocky Mountain Wrestling will be debuting its brand new Tag Team Tournament -- The Oxford Invitational. Following in the footsteps of Mid Atlantic Wrestling's Sam Keith Classic, the Oxford Invitational is designed to bring the best tag teams in North American Independent Professional Wrestling to the Oxford Arena and have them compete for the trophy and a grand prize of one thousand dollars to the winning team!</p><p> </p><p>

This tournament will be taking place in April at the previously scheduled 'Wanted Dead or Alive' event. Today, I can officially announce the first entrants into the tag team tournament. The team of Big Bruiser Findlay and "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith -- who will be making their Rocky Mountain Wrestling debuts at No Law or Order 3 have already agreed to participate in this tournament. The team, known worldwide as 'American Demolition' were one of the top teams in Black Canvas Grappling before leaving to separate companies. Both are excited to make their debuts at No Law or Order 3 and to bring their brand of hard-hitting tag team action to Rocky Mountain Wrestling. They hope to win the first ever Oxford Invitational! We hope we will see you there!</p><p> </p><p>

For Rocky Mountain Wrestling, I'm Marjorie Oxford saying thank you!</p>

<p>The Devil's Rejects</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="71VpY75.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/71VpY75.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p>

<strong>The Devil’s Rejects</strong>. Three men that are all young bucks in the wrestling business, but three men who have bright future if they’re used right.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brett Dewes </strong>is the smallest of the three men. At a muscular two-hundred and twenty-eight pounds, he’s classified as a middle weight. While his two stablemates are significantly heavier, Dewes is nothing to scoff at. He’s an odd addition to the wrestling world. His father was a cardiothoracic surgeon in Salt Lake City. Dewes was an excellent student and athlete in high school. He excelled in science -- particularly physics -- and was a founding member of his high school’s rugby team. Rugby is not a particularly popular sport in Utah, but Dewes wanted the opportunity to play what he considered to be a more physical brand of football. He was all set to go to Brigham Young University, but he saw an ad for wrestling school and decided instead to go to the University of Colorado -- Denver in the very difficult to get into BS to MD program that the University of Colorado offers. Dewes bounces between school and wrestling training.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Johnny Anderson</strong> is the son of a country musician. Not a famous one, but one talented enough to travel in the back up band of several big name stars -- most notably with Willie and George Strait. Anderson is a talented musician in his own right -- playing the fiddle, the banjo, and the guitar -- though he prefers to play the lap steel guitar. At six-feet four inches and and three hundred and seven pounds, Johnny spends most of his time either training to wrestle or messing around in his garage. There are rumors that he could be trying to get into music on a little more regular basis, but right now he seems content to play music when he’s not wrestling.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Keith Holly</strong> is the ‘leader’ of The Devil’s Rejects and is a legit a young biker as possible. His father has been out of jail most of his life for his association with the Fallen Angels biker gang. Keith’s mother is also a well known motorcycle builder -- owning her own shop in Sturgis that is sought after by bikers all over the world. Keith has been riding motorcycles since he was a young lad -- in fact, he drove a motorcycle before he drove a car. At six-feet seven and three hundred sixty-sixty pounds, he spends a lot of time working on bikes and working out. He’s a monster of a man and probably has the brightest future of any of the three men in the Devil’s Rejects. He can cut a great promo naturally and moves with surprising agility. He’s also determined not to follow in the mistakes of his father. During the weeks, Holly actually works as a mechanic, having done a specialized high school program that taught him a trade and not just classes.</p><p>

Johnson had been retired for a year before making the return to TCW as booker and their new color commentator. Kyle Rhodes was officially released not just as CEO but as an employee. They were trying to rebuild and after the loss of major talent, Germaine was said to be about to go on a hiring spree. He had already hired Edd Stone, the reigning COTT World Heavyweight Champion back to TCW. Edd should have never left. He was a really good wrestler, his tag team with Freddy Huggins was excellent and it was a bonehead decision by Rhodes -- who really showed himself to have been a poor promotion by BriCo.</p><p> </p><p> I felt bad for Brent. It wasn’t his fault. He did the best he could do, but when you can’t keep your top talent, what are you supposed to do? I was worried about the announcement that Total Championship Wrestling was going to go on a hiring spree. They had already fired their first shot at us. The big cowboy, Marshall Dillon, had been offered a full-time, exclusive contract. This was going to be a blow.</p><p> </p><p> I had a long term plan that was supposed to build to Marshall losing the Confederation of the Territories World Heavyweight Championship back to Riley McManus. Now, that wasn’t going to happen. Puerto Rico was being given the opportunity to have their first champion -- they were going with Island Boy Apollo. I was going to have to blow of McManus-Dillon at RMW Live #3 as opposed to Wrestling Summit III or another big time show.</p><p> </p><p> To make up for it, I was going to have the two go at it in a Dog Collar match. It would be our first dog collar match -- I had been waiting for the right time. With our second cage match coming at Wrestling Summit III, I was hoping this dog collar match would really attract some fans.</p><p> </p><p> Joel was going to get to step into the ring with another youngster -- Mr. Impact Hugh Ancrie from the House of Stone. With North of the Border continuing to hurt, some of their young talent is not getting brought back. I thought letting him walk was a mistake, but their loss is my gain, I suppose. I felt bad for Jeremy and Victoria. Steve had left, which was crippling. Rumor was he and Victoria were having problems, but that wasn’t my business. Duane had been injured. Bloodstone had been injured. They weren’t in the shape they had been just a few years prior when Junior was still active and Wilson was still there. They were thirty-three years into being an organization and they were definitely showing their age.</p><p> </p><p> I was happy with how we were progressing this year. We had already put on four shows. We had Brandon and Findlay coming in full time for us now and that would definitely help us if TCW raided any more of our top talent.</p><p> </p><p> Ace and Max were making their first appearance on Live. Once the angle with the Tribe finished up, I wasn’t sure what to do with them. They were a good team, useful, but I was trying to get some other guys over and some other teams ready to go. I was going to pair them with Holly and Anderson. Both Holly and Anderson were developing really nicely as workers. Both could cut promos and along with Clyde were the real star pupils from the school. I was hoping that working with the Aces of Mayhem would help them develop even more.</p><p> </p><p> I had also made the decision to hire American Elemental II and Acid II, but I was saving Acid II for now. American Elemental II was the protege of American Elemental -- a sensational worker who had done great things in Japan. In a hope to give our roster more diversity and because of his youth and potential, he could be valuable. With the hiring of Acid, Acid II just made sense. Perhaps I would team them up in the future and they could give me another heel team to use.</p><p> </p><p> Franklin was developing into a nice worker. I was proud of most of our dojo guys. They were young and inexperienced and they only way they were going to get better was by being out in front of the crowd.</p><p> </p><p> Our television production was getting better. Marjorie was building a crew, but I might have to spend more money on the production. Our values were consistently getting our shows dinged. It’s not a big deal now because we were still making steady popularity gains with each show, but that was a decision I was going to have to make eventually.</p><p> </p><p> Four shows into the year. Guys were getting work, guys were getting exposure. Things were developing. This show, we send of Marshall Dillon with a match against Riley. Next show, the Summit III. I was excited.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45989" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:14px;">Rocky Mountain Wrestling Live #3</span></p><p> Saturday, Week 2, March 2018</p><p> Live from the Oxford Arena, 7:30 PM Bell Time</p><p> Will be Aired On Demand on the Rocky Mountain Sports Network</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Dog Collar Match</span></p><p> Sixty Minute Time Limit</p><p> “The Georgia Bulldog” Riley McManus versus Marshall Dillon w/ Duke Hazard</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Co Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">RMW Can-Am Championship</span></p><p> Forty-Five Minute Time Limit</p><p> “Mr. Impact” Hugh Ancrie versus “The Straight Shooter” Joel Bryant ©</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Special Attraction</strong></p><p> Tag Team Match</p><p> Thirty Minute Time Limit</p><p> The Aces of Mayhem versus The Devil’s Rejects (Holly & Anderson)</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Opening Match</strong></p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Twenty Minute Time Limit</p><p> American Elemental II versus Acid</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

<p>Wrestling Summit III -- our big show. Originally, the show was going to feature Riley McManus versus Marshall Dillon in the dog collar match for the COTT World Heavyweight Championship -- but Marshall signed with TCW and dropped the belt to Apollo in FCW -- giving them their first COTT World Champion. </p><p> </p><p> I got on the phone with Mito Miwa and I made a deal. I would give him a date with American Demolition and KC Glenn if he would send me Massive Thunder and Funakoshi so I could have some international flavor on the show to make up for the loss of the big COTT World title match. I was still going to do the rematch between Running Wolf and Primus Allen -- this time in a cage.</p><p> </p><p> With Riley hurt, I couldn’t have him defend the tag titles with KC, so The Celestial Bodies were going to get a shot at The Gods of Thunder. They had gone at it once before and put on a good match, so hopefully they could repeat the magic here.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45989" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:14px;">Rocky Mountain Wrestling Presents: Wrestling Summit III</span></p><p> Saturday, Week 4, March, 2018</p><p> Live from the Oxford Arena, 7:30 PM Bell Time</p><p> Will Also Be Aired On Demand on the Rocky Mountain Sports Network</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Championship</span></p><p> <em>Steel Cage Match</em></p><p> Sixty Minute Time Limit</p><p> “The Evolution” Primus Allen w/ Lisa Bowen versus “The Pride of the Apache Nation” Running Wolf ©</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Semi Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">COTT World Tag Team Championship</span></p><p> Forty-Five Minute Time Limit</p><p> The Celestial Bodies versus The Gods of Thunder w/ Lisa Bowen</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Special Attraction</strong></p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Thirty Minute Time Limit</p><p> “Glorious” Logan Diaz versus Funakoshi</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Special Attraction</strong></p><p> Tag Team Match</p><p> Thirty Minute Time Limit</p><p> Massive Thunder versus American Demolition</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Opening Match</strong></p><p> $200 to Winner</p><p> 30 Man Over the Top Rope Battle Royal</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

Hello wrestling world. I'm Marjorie Oxford and I'm here with breaking news regarding April's Oxford Invitational Tag Team Tournament. I previously announced that 'American Demolition', will be the first official entrant in the tournament and I can officially announce that TWO more teams have signed on to be a part of the tournament.</p><p> </p><p>

The first team has been a tag team for over a decade now. They've wrestled for Pittsburg Steel Wrestling and New York Championship Wrestling -- winning Tag Titles in both organizations -- as well as having been the Confederation of the Territories World Tag Team Champions for over a year. They recently finished their last commitments with New York Championship Wrestling and will be coming to Rocky Mountain Wrestling full-time starting with the Oxford Invitational. I am of course talking about Marv Statler and Dean Waldorf -- The Ring Generals. They are one of the most experienced tag teams in independent wrestling and are an instant threat to win the whole tournament.</p><p> </p><p>

In addition to the Ring Generals, Rocky Mountain Wrestling has booked a major, major team to compete in the tournament. This team was one of the most dominant forces in the wrestling world until 2007. They won three DAVE Tag Team Championships and even won the WEXVV Blood Brothers Championship. Both men have achieved singles success and are teaming together for the first time in eleven years. I am referring to Eddie and Doug Peak, the Peak Brothers, making their official return to Tag Team Action -- and Doug Peak is making his official return to United States Wrestling. This is a huge signing for Rocky Mountain Wrestling and the Oxford Invitational is showing that it will be the biggest independent tag team wrestling event in the country.</p><p> </p><p>

Three spots have been claimed -- five more remain open. Which teams will take those five spots? I will keep you all posted as more information comes out. For Rocky Mountain Wrestling, I'm Marjorie Oxford. Thank you!"</p>

Plus, in my mind, narratively speaking, Eddie would be happy to work the occasional shot for Robert because of the decade they worked together in TCW. I imagine that Robert is well-liked guy in the CVerse, never one to seek his own glory, always willing to do the right thing for business, and guys would do it for him out of favors.</p><p> </p><p> Doug was surprisingly cheap -- so it doesn't make it too bad. We've been turning a good profit because of the RMW Live shows being really cheap to put on because they focus on so many guys who make almost nothing. And darn it, I want the Robert Oxford Invitational to be the best tag tournament in North America! Screw the Stones and their Ed Henson Memorial, I'm trying to take that prize!!!!</p>

Marjorie looked over at Riley and KC. Riley’s left wrist was in a soft cast. He was only supposed to be out twenty days -- it was a minor fracture but one the doctors wanted to let heal before he resumed any real physical action. They were both wearing brand new ‘Rocky Mountain Wrestling’ t-shirts. RMW had shirts before, but these were new ones, hot of the presses, and the hope was to move a bunch at Wrestling Summit III. Riley had the show off to heal, KC was going to be in the battle royal, but both were here with Marjorie.</p><p> </p><p>

She looked at them and smiled. “Alright boys, here’s what I need. Keep it simple. We don’t need anything over the top. You’re the good southern babyfaces after all. You’re making the announcement that you’re in the Invitational and that you’re putting the titles on the line in each match so that you can prove that you’re the best team in independent wrestling. You guys know the drill.”</p><p> </p><p>

KC and Riley nodded. They were pros. KC had been in Japan for the last several years and had really developed as a worker. He can already cut a good promo and has gotten even better in the ring than he was in his short stint in Mid Atlantic Wrestling. Riley had come into his own as a star in Rocky Mountain Wrestling -- and had actually shown in their one match as a team together that they had natural instincts as a team.</p><p> </p><p>

Marjorie moved behind a camera. She was working as the camera operator for this. She turned the camera on and held up her hand to give a countdown. KC reached behind them and pulled out the Rocky Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Titles. The beautiful brown leather belts had been designed by the premier belt designer in North America, Christian Shane. Both men draped a belt over their shoulder.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>[On Camera]</strong></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="HXLpdxw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HXLpdxw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="R1WcuzU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/R1WcuzU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Riley holds his wrist up for the camera. “Y’know, when I beat Marshall Dillon -- that coward -- at Rocky Mountain Live #3, I broke my wrist when I punched him in the face. I sent him packing. Running from Rocky Mountain Wrestling, but KC and I paid the price. The doctors won’t clear me for Wrestling Summit III for KC and I to defend our Rocky Mountain Tag Team Championships, so I have to sit out.”</p><p> </p><p>

KC, “And while Riley is sitting out, I’ll be in the battle royal trying my best to win that cash prize. Trying my best to bring home the money and make y’all proud of this simple southern boy.”</p><p> </p><p>

Riley, “But after Wrestling Summit III -- the whole wrestling world turns its focus to The Oxford Invitational coming in April. We’ve seen the announcements. American Demolition has been announced. Brandon and Findlay are two big bad men and are one of the most formidable tag teams in wrestling.”</p><p> </p><p>

KC, “That’s not to mention The Ring Generals -- one of the most decorated teams in all of Independent wrestling. When you hear tag team rasslin’ you think of them. Those boys can go. They got fire. They can ground and pound and they’re comin’ in fo’ the tournament. And even more important -- the most insane team in the last fifteen years. Those Peak Brothers. Eddie and Doug. They’re coming for the tournament.”</p><p> </p><p>

Riley, “That’s three teams.. Three great teams. There are supposed to be eight. Well today, KC and I are announcing that we are team number four! We’re officially entering The Oxford Invitational.”</p><p> </p><p>

KC, “That’s right baby! But we’re not just entering. We’re men. We’re proud men and we’re the Rocky Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Champions. We talked to Robert Oxford himself. We made sure it was in the paperwork. We are defending these Championships in the tournament. Any match we’re in -- and we plan on winning the whole thing -- will also be for the Rocky Mountain Tag Team Championships! If anyone can beat us, they win the belts. If not, we win the thousand dollars, we win the Oxford Invitational and we prove that we are the best tag team in independent wrestling.”</p><p> </p><p>

Riley, “So we’re putting all the tag teams on notice. We don’t care how big you are. We don’t care how experienced you are. We don’t care how crazy you are -- how many flips you can do -- nothin’. We’re the Rocky Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Champions, we’re not afraid of any team out there and we are going to make a statement at the Oxford Invitational.”</p><p> </p><p>

KC and Riley slap their belts together.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>[Off Camera]</strong></p><p> </p><p>

“And cut.” Marjorie said and smiled at the guys. “Really good stuff. You really hit what we needed. Thank you.”</p><p> </p><p>

“No problem.” KC said with a warm smile and Marjorie smiled back. KC was new here. He actually moved back to the states when he got the job with Rocky Mountain Wrestling and found out that Burning Hammer had to not renew his contract because of their financial situation. No one else in Japan wanted to pick him up -- and he kind of missed home. Despite being from Georgia and not the Rocky Mountains, KC liked it up here. He found a kinship with fellow Georgian Riley McManus and Findlay, his friend from Burning Hammer and Mid Atlantic. </p><p> </p><p>

Riley slapped KC on the shoulder. “I’ve got to get back to the guys training.” Marjorie and KC nodded as Riley walked off. He was still holding his tag title -- he was going to put it back in his locker. KC looked at Marjorie nervously.</p><p> </p><p>

“So, uh.” He stammered. Despite his skill in the wrestling ring and on the microphone, KC had never been one to be quite comfortable around women. </p><p> </p><p>

“You hungry?” Marjorie asked. Unlike KC, Marjorie had all the confidence in the world with the opposite sex. She had grown up in Los Angeles -- confidence came with living in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. </p><p> </p><p>

“I could eat, yeah.” KC said with a nod and a smile. </p><p> </p><p>

“You like Mexican? There’s a great little hole in the whole place up the street. We could go. Eat some food. Talk. Y’know, a date.” She was straightforward. Something she got from her mom. She knew her dad wouldn’t be thrilled about her going on a date with a wrestler who worked for him -- but she was an adult woman and she was asking him. She wasn’t getting coerced -- and KC was a nice guy. The whole business said so. He had never been the type to go home with a fan after a show. Was not known for being a womanizer or anything like that. He was a kid who went to church on Sundays. Read books and tried to eat clean. Her dad would get over it.</p><p> </p><p>

KC looked at her, taken aback. He had not been on a date in -- well -- longer than he would like to admit. He had a girlfriend for the first little while when he was in Japan, but it didn’t last and he was so busy with Burning Hammer that he didn’t have much time for a social life. Marjorie was pretty. She was smart. She had hobbies -- and she understood what he did for a life. “I’d love to.” He replied and she smiled. </p><p> </p><p>

“Good. I’ve got to pack up the camera. I’ll meet you out front in fifteen?” She asked and he nodded his agreement.</p>

<p>Wrestling Summit III was another successful show. We switched the title back onto Primus Allen in the cage - and it caught a lot of people by surprise. Wolf is such a good babyface and has been such a consistent performer, but Allen is a whole different kind of monster. With the additions of Findlay and Smith as babyfaces, I wanted the title back on a heel for some really good matches that could happen over the summer. Wolf wasn’t going anywhere -- at least not as far as I knew, but he also didn’t *need* the title to be over. He could have good matches with others, plus there is mileage in a third match between Wolf and Allen -- the rubber match. That would come later. </p><p> </p><p> April was going to be about the Invitational Tournament. Marjorie had done a good job with the announcements of American Demolition, The Peak Brothers, and The Ring Generals and then the promo announcing that Riley and KC were going to enter and defend the tag titles in any match they were in on that night.</p><p> </p><p> I was excited for the momentum we were building. We had RMW Live #4 coming soon. It was continuing to be a great secondary show for us. It was really complimenting what we were doing on the more established shows while also establishing its own identity.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45989" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:14px;">RMW Live #4</span></p><p> Saturday, Week 2, April, 2018</p><p> Live from the Oxford Arena, 7:30 PM</p><p> Also Aired On Demand on the Rocky Mountain Sports Network</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">RMW Can-Am Championship</span></p><p> Sixty Minute Time Limit</p><p> “The Man With No Fear” Sonny Wildside versus “The Straight Shooter” Joel Bryant</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Semi Main Event</strong></p><p> Tag Team Match</p><p> Forty-Five Minute Time Limit</p><p> The Griffins versus Acid and Acid II</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Singles Match</strong></p><p> Twenty Five Minute Time Limit</p><p> “Pure Athlete” Art Reed versus Keith Holly</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Singles Match</strong></p><p> Twenty Five Minute Time Limit</p><p> “The Hillbilly Hammer” Clyde Puder versus Johnny Anderson</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Opening Match</strong></p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Twenty Minute Time Limit</p><p> American Elemental II versus Bradley Blaze w/ Duke Hazard</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>
