AldousKing
First post here, love this game and Tag's real world mod! Quick question. When using a real world mod, can you play through history by simply setting the start game back to 1993? I'm planning of changing records/popularity, unretiring fighters, etc - but given people have debut dates, I was hoping this could work. What do you think? BrokenCycle
It is doable to an extent. There was a mod like that for, and I could be wrong, WMMA3. One of the big things would be having to mess with region regulations. They would have to be reset and then they would not become regulated in the way in which they did historically. Months ago I looked at three separate long-running games and all the regions where MMA was illegal hadn't changed. I don't think the game really makes them legal randomly like it should. GUINNC
You can do this, but it takes a ton of editing in the beginning. I started my game in 2001 or 2002 I believe and it's been a ton of fun. As BC mentioned, the natural game world just takes so long to develop, so I just made all regions legal and changed the drug testing policies. But, still yet, it's been such a fun save. Tag01
This is tough especially with my mod as I didn't worry about getting debut dates right. Most of the download links for my WMMA4 mods are still live from 2012 forward, so you can convert any of those into a mod through the editor as well.

Debut dates, new companies including rules, Tv deals, non fighters. It takes a long time.i have already entered every event and fight I can find dating back to 1984, where it is on someone’s fight record. 216 events, 1500 fights approx. It takes a long time. In theory when this is done, you will be able to roll back to 1993 with various edits. It isn’t something I was considering, but that’s not to say my completed Mod can’t be used as a base. However ther’s still a bit of time before it’s out. Was hoping by Christmas, that may extend to the new year.

Tags Mods are awesome and have used them, but I am using WecNeverDie’s original 1997 Mod and expanding it massively. My hope then is to look at maybe doing one a little bit later to coincide with pride and UFC 12 where they started using weight classes better and more belts, but that is a way off.

Having to check every single one of those on 2500+ characters is very time consuming. Suede
Haha yeah I've been slowly working on a 2007ish mod from WMMA 3 and the debut/birth dates are the biggest issue. Having to check every single one of those on 2500+ characters is very time consuming. And that's not considering every other thing you have to do. It hurts. You sit and it for a few hours, and when you finish it feels like you’ve done nothing.
