NXT opens with a video showing “last week” where the Undisputed Era drag out Jay Lethal to the stage. With Adam Cole giving direction the UE throws Lethal off the stage to the floor. Officials scream for help as the camera zooms in to Lethal’s crumpled body on the floor of Full Sail.

Rating: 7.4

The announcers tell us that tonight, we will see footage filmed by the Undisputed Era that led to the attack on Lethal and William Regal will update us on Lethal’s condition.

Shayna lets her opponent get a few licks in before Kacy really stuns Shayna with a superkick that nearly equals a pinfall. From there, Baszler gets serious and soon, Catanzaro is tapping to the Kirifuda.

Following the match, Kairi Sane jumps through the crowd and goes after Shayna. This brings out Jessamyn & Marina and eventually Nikki Cross runs out as well. Kairi and the champ run off the Horsewomen and stand strong in the ring.

The Wolves are seen walking to the ring. The Authors of Pain have accepted their challenge for a match here tonight. That match is next on NXT.

A video airs saying, ”What is a ‘prodigy’?” Then a definition appears: “[noun] An amazing or unusual thing, especially one out of the ordinary course of nature…….soon the ordinary will become extraordinary. The Prodigy is coming.”

The match starts out as a brawl early on and the ref has a hard time getting everyone to obey the rules. Eventually AOP start to take out Davey Richards and really keeps him separated from his partner. After a few false tags, Akam misses a splash and Eddie Edwards finally tags in. He comes in like a house of fire but, Paul Ellering trips him up allowing Rezar to attack from behind. Soon all four men are in the ring again and the ref tries to stop them from fighting before getting knocked to the ground himself. That is enough for the ref to call for the bell and throw the match out disqualifying both teams.

Match Result: Double Disqualification
Rating: 6.6

After the match, AOP & the Wolves continue to brawl while referees flood the ring. Initially unnoticed during the chaos, the NXT Tag Team Champions, O’Reilly & Strong come out. The two stand on the stage clearly enjoying the carnage of these two teams.

The video that the Undisputed Era were shooting when they threw Lethal off the stage last week is aired. It shows Tessa coming up to Lethal in the back and Cole and company blindsiding Jay. Through the beat down where they literally drag him toward the entrance to the arena, Cole is screaming “this title is mine”. The video eventually shows Cole warn anyone in NXT to stay out of the Undisputed Era’s business and we see their point of view as Lethal is thrown off the stage to the floor.

Mauro is clearly disgusted as we go to him. We are told that NXT General Manager, William Regal, will have the update on the condition of Jay Lethal at the conclusion of tonight's main event - the NXT North American title match between Tye Dillinger & Ricochet which starts….now.

Rating: 6.4

The story of this match is Tye tries to use power moves and go for quick pins to ground the champion…and it almost works as Tye nails pop-up powerbomb early in the match for a very close 2 count. Tye controls a lot of the match and really looks strong keeping Ricochet from the high flying. When Ricochet goes for the 630, Tye is able to crotch the champion and climb up to meet him. Tye goes for a superplex but Ricochet lands, amazingly, on his feet. When Dilliger gets up, Ricochet nails him with a brutal kick to the jaw and then finally the 630 for the 1…2…3.

Following the match, as Ricochet helps up Dillinger and shakes his hand, a video plays on the titan-tron of Bobby Fish in the back of a limo. He talks of living the high life but, for all his success, one thing alludes him – the NXT North American Title. At TakeOver: New York, Ricochet was the better man….for one night. Now, Ricochet must prove that he’s the better man period because Bobby Fish is challenging him man on man one more time for the title. Ricochet nods in the affirmative indicating that he accepts the challenge.

We immediately go backstage to the office of the General Manager of NXT, William Regal. Mr. Regal is at his desk and he looks crestfallen. Regal says that more tests are coming for Jay Lethal over the next several days following the heinous assault last week, but the diagnosis does not appear to change. From all accounts by the experts that NXT is sparing no expense in sending Lethal to, it appears to be a neck injury at the hands of the Undisputed Era.

Right now there is no time table for the return of Jay Lethal. Regal is in near tears as he says, “right now it appears that Jay Lethal may never wrestle again”.

The camera then cuts to Mauro and Christian at the announce booth. The announcers look stunned as the NXT Champion, Adam Cole, comes out to the stage laughing. With the crowd in shock, Cole falls on the stage holding his stomach in victorious laughter as NXT goes off the air.

NXT UK opens with highlight video from last week of Nick Aldis defeating Daniel Vidot and winning the #1 contender shot at TakeOver London. He will challenge Pete Dunne for the NXT United Kingdom Championship.

Friends Stand United are able to get an early advantage until Mark Coffey dumps Eddie Dennis to the floor and the Coffeys distract the ref as Wolfgang rams Dennis into the ring post. From there Dennis is brutalized while the Coffey’s mock Mark Andrews. After Andrews is tagged in, Dennis is too hurt to help as the Coffeys take apart Mark Andrews and finish him off with The Heart Attack for the pinfall victory.

Following their win, the Coffeys say that Finlay’s week is up and they demand that Finlay name them the new NXT UK Tag Team Champions.

Finlay comes out and says they can have the right to those titles if they win at TakeOver London. The Coffeys mockingly ask who is good enough to challenge them....

Mustache Mountain's music plays as Tyler Bate....and yes, the returning Trent Seven join Finlay on stage as Gallus screams bloody murder. At NXT TakeOver: London it will be Mustache Mountain against The Coffey Brothers for the NXT United Kingdom Tag Team Championship!

Another work out video of Luke Menzies shows him making a sparring partner scream from agony from the Ankle Lock. Menzies promises to be at TakeOver: London and reiterates his open challenge. Who will answer?

Yet another vicious onslaught by the monster Dave Mastiff as he takes apart Kenny Williams with barely any resistance. Before long a Spinebuster is nailed and the result is academic.

A commercial airs for NXT UK TakeOver: London airs. It focuses heavily on Pete Dunne vs Nick Aldis for the United Kingdom Title. NXT UK TakeOver: London will originate from the sold out Royal Albert Hall Saturday Week 4 May 2019 only on the WWE Network.

MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING:

Nina Samuels dazzles in a close match with the returning Storm. After surviving an onslaught from Toni, Samuels is able to drop Storm on her neck and really beat down Toni and even nails a Turnbuckle Brainbuster for a near fall. When Nina goes for a top rope moonsault, Toni is able to move out of the way and quickly nails Storm Zero for the 3 count.

After the match Storm calls out Ripley and Province but, they don't show. Storm says that next week Province can't hide because she knows that Ripley will defend her Womens Title next week. And Toni Storm will be there and get payback.

We get a graphic that says NXT Champion Pete Dunne will be here next.

Pete Dunne comes out and cuts a promo and congratulates Nick Aldis on his win. He says it doesn't matter because the Bruiserweight doesn't give a damn about who he faces, this title will stay his. Dunen says that he left America to come home to the UK to stand for something. Dunne says that he promised Triple H that Pete Dunne would be someone that the UK brand could be built around and Pete Dunne is not a liar. Pete Dunne is not scared of Nick Aldis and he is here tonight to prove it. Dunne calls out Aldis, but it is Kamille that answers.

Kamille comes down to the ring while Dunne looks annoyed. Pete tells her that clearly Kamille’s manhood is more than Aldis’ because he sent a woman to answer for him. This angers Kamille who pie faces the champion sending Dunne down to one knee. Dunne gets up, furious as Kamille bails from the ring and Dunne gives chase and in the entrance way…..a pipe is smashed into the back of Dunne.

Nick Aldis comes out of nowhere and nails Dunne again with the pipe. It’s a setup! Kamille throws officials aside as Aldis throws Dunne head-first into the LED wall. The challenger for the NXT United Kingdom Championship drags the champion to the center of the entrance way and drops Dunne face first on the floor with the DDT. Kamille hands Nick Aldis the belt and Nick Aldis stands over top Dunne's body holding the NXT UK title high as NXT UK goes off the air.

Rey Mysterio comes down to the ring and gets a microphone. He says that tonight is 205 Breakout and they’re going to start it the right way. He’s fought of some the greats and if anyone wants to step in this ring, they’re more than welcome. He doesn’t have to wait long.

Psicosis makes his way down to the ring and shakes hands with Mysterio with dual respect. But they’re soon not alone.

The legendary Ultimo Dragon comes to the ring and the crowd is now on their feet as all three men stare each other down but before the bell can ring…..

All three men stare at the aisle and the man of 1000 holds stalks down to the ring looking as focused as ever. As Malenko eyes the other men the bell rings and we’re underway.

Rey Mysterio vs Psichosis vs Ultimo Dragon vs Dean Malenko

It’s all four men in the ring at the same time and over the course of the first few minutes they all get paired with each other and hit some of their accustomed offense. As all four men reach a moment of mutual respect the crowd gives them all a ‘you still got it’ chant. It then pairs down to Mysterio and Psicosis in one corner and Malenko and Ultimo in the other.

Mysterio and Psicosis move to the outside where Mysterio is in trouble but meanwhile in the ring its Ultimo Dragon who finds himself in trouble. Malenko works over his left leg move for move, grinding him down before putting him in the Texas Cloverleaf. On the outside Mysterio moves out of the way as Psicosis jumps from the top and hits the barrier. Mysterio slides back in the ring and uses the ropes to springboard a West Coast Pop onto Malenko breaking up the submission as Ultimo rolls out.. Mysterio hops up, and runs to the corner where he flies off with a frog splash onto Malenko for the three count.

Sin Cara and Gran Metalik vs Kalisto and Lince Dorado

The match is fast paced energy from the opening bell with plenty of high flying. Kalisto is in trouble early on but fights back and it’s him and Dorado who exact some revenge for the betrayal of Sin Cara and Metalik. Things are going their way until a distracted referee allows Metalik to hit a low blow on Dorado and sling him into the post. Sin Cara comes in and the tide has turned.

Kalisto is begging for the tag as his partner is picked apart by Sin Cara. Dorado barely kicks out of a series of snap suplexes but Sin Cara makes his mistake when he goes to the top for a frog splash but hits nothing but the mat as Dorado rolls out of the way. Kalisto gets the tag and cleans house, taking on both opponents and eventually sending Metalik to the outside. Concentrating on Sin Cara Kaliso puts a flurry of offense together topped off with the Solida del Sol and that gets the 123.

The Man Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Ember Moon, and AJ Styles are shown seated at ringside. Coach says this was the hottest ticket in town and all the Superstars wanted to be a part of it!

The arena goes dark for a moment then a single spotlight hits the stage. A beautiful woman comes out with a microphone after being introduced as Miss Scarlett.

She says at long last he has arrived. The most handsome man in the world. The most talented man in the world. The greatest man in the world. Ashton Castle!

Classical music begins to play as Castle makes his way out to the stage and walks past her to the ring with Scarlett following behind. As Castle warms up the crowd is shown who his handpicked opponent tonight will be.

Ashton Castle w/Miss Scarlett vs Tajiri

Castle has a definite gameplan going into this but Tajiri’s nature makes it difficult as he flusters Castle at every turn. Castle finally seizes control for a moment but again the wily veteran turns it around with a series of strikes and nearly pins Castle with a small package. Castle retreats to the outside to settle himself but when Tajiri follows, Castle throws him face first into the post.

Castle rolls him back in and begins going to work, targeting his neck. Things are going Castle’s way until he looks to hit a second rope knee drop and Tajiri arm drags him halfway across the ring. Ms. Scarlett climbs onto the apron in front of Castle to give him encouragement as Tajiri creeps up from behind. When Castle turns he immediately hits the mat as Taijiri spits green mist in Scarlett’s face. The referee is momentarily distracted by all of this which allows Castle to hit a kick below the belt followed by a jumping piledriver. He makes the cover and scores his first victory.

Zack Sabre Jr is in his locker room. He tells the camera that tonight is everything he’s spent his career searching for. Tonight he claims not just the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Tonight he shows the world that he is the best at what he does.

Tyler Breeze vs Shane Strickland

A very even match in the beginning with each man getting in some offense before the other would stem the tide and make a comeback. Finally Breeze seizes control and keeps it as he uses Strickland’s enthusiasm against him to keep him grounded and worn down. They spill to the outside where Breeze attempts a suplex on the ramp but Strickland reverses it and Breeze crashes down onto the steel.

Strickland rolls him back in the ring and hits a leg drop off the second rope but Breeze kicks out. Strickland goes to the top intent on a replay but Breeze crotches him and hits a jumping enziguri but at the last second, Stickland’s foot is on the ropes. Breeze is visibly frustrated and goes for the Beauty Shot but Strickland ducks it, before shoving Breeze into the ropes and hitting a pop up double knee gutbuster for the win.

A replay of Strickland’s victory is shown before we cut to the ring where both men shake hands and Breeze holds up Strickland’s arm to the crowd.

Lio Rush is pacing backstage looking panicked. His phone beeps and he quickly checks it, reading the text out loud. ‘You said you did it all on your own….go do it yourself tonight…..Bobby.’ Rush just stares at the phone in shock and worry.

Buddy Murphy and Hideo Itami vs King Fenix and Pentagon Jr.

The heels control the early moments keeping Fenix penned up in their corner but when his masked partner who had been introduced to the crowd as Pentagon Jr get the tag he lights up both Itami and Murphy. While he’s keeping them both busy, Fenix pulls a table from under the ring and sets it up. He climbs back in and it’s a four man brawl. Murphy is knocked to the apron but hangs on as Pentagon baseball slides between his legs and gets Murphy in powerbomb position as Fenix dropkicks him helping the momentum and Murphy is put through the table. Itami is left by himself but holds his own as the match settles into one on one versus Pentagon.

Move for move, they continue at a breakneck pace, until Pentagon climbs to the top but Murphy is up and shoves him off to the mat. Fenix hits a hurricanrana off the apron on Murphy. Itami covers Pentagon but he kicks out at two. Itami works him over a little more and picks him up for a brainbuster but Fenix makes a blind tag, pulls Pentagon to safety and then uses the ropes to slingshot himself into the ring for a tornado DDT. Pentagon is already climbing to the top and hits a senton onto Itami then immediately gets up to hit the ropes and nail a suicide dive into Murphy as Fenix covers for the win.

King Fenix and Pentagon Jr celebrate their victory as the crowd cheers loudly.

Lio Rush © vs Zack Sabre Jr.

Rush looks his usual cocky self and walks up to Sabre, trash talking him. Sabre just nods before landing a standing high kick to Rush’s face. Rush falls into a seated position and looks dazed before Sabre bounds off the ropes and hits a shining wizard. Rush is flat on his back in the middle of the ring. Sabre turns him over and applies a double Fujiwara armbar. Rush is lucid enough to know he has to tap immediately.

Winner by Submission and new WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Zack Sabre Jr.

As pyro goes off, Sabre climbs the ropes and holds up the Cruiserweight Championship as the show goes off the air.

Awesome 205 PPV! Kinda underwhelming rating for the main event but ZSJ is a great long-term investment and the right philosophy is story over ratings always. Very hyped for Ashton and Scarlett as well, they can be special once they move up.

No sooner than the bell rings Bryan hits the ring with a chair and clobbers Styles across the back. He then goes to work on Strowman and is quickly joined by Owens. They go under the ring and pull out a set of handcuffs and cuff Strowman to the bottom turnbuckle connector. Zayn joins Owens on the outside as Bryan returns to Styles and puts him in the Labell Lock. Owens and Zayn attack the Universal Champion who is the proverbial one armed man. While Strowman is focused on Zayn, Owens rams him with the steel ring steps. Over and over until the Champion is down on his knees, held up by the handcuffed wrist and wide open for Zayn’s Helluva Kick which finishes the job. As the show ends officials are trying to check on Strowman and get Bryan to release the hold on Styles. Hall of Famer Trish Stratus comes down to the ring and gets right in Charlotte’s face. She tells her that you should never say never. The last time they were one on one in the ring Trish beat her and if given the opportunity she’ll do it again but this time it’ll be for that championship. Charlotte thinks this is amusing and tells her anytime and Trish responds next week will do. Charlotte doesn’t find it as amusing now but she can hardly back down. She motions for Kharma to follow her out as Trish tells her she’ll see her next week.

Heavy Machinery © vs the Colons

The colons are ring veterans and savvy and have decades of family experience behind them. That doesn’t stop two giant men from steamrolling them and controlling the match. Primo is the one who suffers the Compactor and Heavy Machinery defends their titles.

Otis and Tucker are celebrating their win when they’re suddenly blindsided by Bobby Lashley and Apollo Crews. It doesn’t take long for the champions to be laid to waste through a series of power moves. Lashley and Crews stand over the champs with sneers on their faces.

The IIConics are with Kayla Braxton. They’re dressed in camo with eye back under their eyes. They talk about how they’ve seen more combat than Lacey Evans ever has but at Battleground they’ll teach her why it’s unwise to fight a two front war.

Ember Moon vs Sonya Deville w/Olympus

An even match throughout though Alexa and Mandy on the outside cause their share of distractions. Sonya seems to have this in the bag and is about to put Ember in a Boston Crab when Ember pulls her into a small package and gets a shock three count.

Winner by Pinfall: Ember Moon

Olympus tries to get ahold of Ember after the match but Moon avoids Bliss and Mandy and is all smiles as all three members look infuriated.

Camera cut to the back where Drew McIntyre is beating the hell out of Roman Reigns in the locker room. Reigns’ head is bounced off a locker, before McIntyre delivers a spinebuster onto the floor. Officials come in and force Drew out but Roman is down and hurt.

Kassius Ohno is standing by with Kayla Braxton. She asks him about his Intercontinental Championship match with Velveteen Dream at Battleground but he stops her. He says his game plan has been laid bare for all the world to see. He’s going to walk in the ring and he’s going to knock out Velveteen Dream. It’s that simple and there’s nothing that the champion can do about it. Death, Taxers, Knockout.

Seth Rollins vs Eric Young

We see Eric Young for the first time since WrestleMania and he holds his own in the early going but Seth Rollins finds the momentum and soon it’s Young who’s kissing the mat thanks to a curbstomp.

Rollins doesn’t even have a moment to enjoy his victory as Almas, Kaval, and Dagan hit the ring. Vega stays on the outside directing traffic as they decimate him. Rollins limp body is picked up and held up as Andrade hits a superkick to the face, followed by Hammerlock DDT. Seth is down and out as Almas tells him it’s only just begun.

Lars Sullivan vs Stephen Wolfe

Bell ring, boot to the face, Freak Accident. It didn’t take longer than that.

Bray says that they need to clean the Funhouse because they’re going to have a funhouse guest soon. Ramblin Rabbit asks how long until he arrives and Bray tells him about two weeks. Mercy asks why the funhouse needs to be cleaned and Bray tells him because they need to make room for all the souls that will be collected. Finally Abby asks who’s coming.

Bray stops and just stares blankly and softly says his name is the Fiend.

The screen flickers, twisting and turning, as Bray’s face contorts until it’s not his face any longer.

With his voice sounding demonic this new face makes a simple request.

“Let me in.”

The announcers run down the known matches for Battleground which will take place in three weeks. They spotlight the latest match to be added to the card. Andrade Almas versus Seth Rollins.

Non Title Match

McIntyre and Reigns continue to brawl around the ring with neither man getting full control but when Reigns goes for a Superman Punch he connects sending McIntyre over the barrier. Reigns follows him.

Meanwhile Balor has been watching the whole thing when Samoa Joe slips into the ring behind him and locks on the Kokina Clutch. Balor passes out in the hold but Joe won’t let go. As the show ends officials are trying to get Balor loose but the camera focuses on Joe’s eyes which show nothing but a wild glare.

Finn Balor vs Drew McIntyre

Balor is in control early but McIntyre eventually catches him and uses his strength to begin punishing the WWE Champion. McIntyre military presses Balor over the top before following him out and continuing the beating. McIntyre rolls Balor back into the ring when…...

Roman Reigns begins making his way down the ramp still showing signs of the earlier attack but still determined. McIntyre turns and meets Reigns on the ramp landing the first shot. Meanwhile the referee is counting and reaches the ten count.

The new WWE Cruiserweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. comes to the ring. He says that he will make it his mission in life to make 205 reach its potential and he will be the fighting champion it deserved. Before he can go on he’s interrupted.

TJP comes out onto the stage and says if Sabre is serious he’ll accept his challenge right here tonight. Sabre takes off his jacket and simply requests a referee.

Zack Sabre Jr. © vs TJP

Sabre deflects all attacks TJP throws at him, countering and playing defense for a few moments before launching into a strong series of punches and elbow strikes. Sabre lays in a series of kicks to the lower back of TJP and when he sees the opening he locks in the double Fujiwara Armbar for the win.

Winner by Submission and still WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Zack Sabre Jr.

Coach and Booker hype tonight’s main event. A Breakout rematch: Shane Strickland and Tyler Breeze go at it one more time.

Cedric Alexander vs Shiima Xion

A good back and forth match but Cedric pulls away at the end and ends the match with the Lumbar Check.

Winner by Pinfall: Cedric Alexander

Backstage Miles Jordan approaches Rey Mysterio. He tells Mysterio he looked pretty good at Breakout versus three old hasbeens but he could never beat Jordan who is the future of 205. Mysterio replies that he’s always up for a challenge and they agree to a match next week.

Tyler Breeze vs Shane Strickand

Another good outing between these two. Back and forth they seem to have a slick chemistry but when Strickland goes for a backflip, he stumbles backwards and gets his arms tied up in the ropes. Breeze and the referee go over to help him when suddenly Breeze levels the referee with a right hand. He then turns his attention to Strickland who is helpless and rains right hands down on him. Breeze backs off and then runs towards the ropes, nailing a Beauty Shot as the referee comes to and calls for the bell.

Winner by Disqualification: Shane Strickland

Breeze rolls out of the ring and collects a chair before sliding back in. He screams at a barely conscious Strickland that he will not be disrespected. Breeze raises the chair and is about to crown Strickland when the crowd begins to pop.

King Fenix and Pentagon Jr run down to the ring and Breeze ditches to the outside. As they untie Strickland and check on him Breeze is walking up the ramp pleased with himself.

We wanted to give our readers an update on this particular diary. Tomorrow the 30th would mark 1 year since we began and we have immensely enjoyed bringing you our vision of modern WWE but sometimes real life gets in the way and the free time required to do this at the level we demand of ourselves is no longer available so this will be going up on the shelf.

We love fantasy booking too much to stop altogether and we're looking at a new project which can be just as good but will also work with our schedules and we ought to have something going with that in a couple weeks or so. Thank you again for being a part of this and we hope you'll come along for our next ride as well.
