War for Territory #16

Buck Winchester, Kenneth Drebin & "Killer" Carl Bernard (with Sheik Ali Al-Avatar)

Time for B-Panther to back up his fiery Wrestle Bowl promo in the ring. As leader of the all-black team of Nate DeMarcus and Oscar Tufnel, B-Panther had the tough job of wrestling in front of a new crowd while balancing the serious competitive demeanor of DeMarcus with Tufnel's carefree disco spirit. Their opponents were an equally ragtag team led by "Cowboy" Buck Winchester but with Drebin and especially Bernard in the team, their trio did pack a serious punch. Unfortunately for the Piledriver School graduate though, B-Panther's punch packed a lil' bit o' dynamite when it hit him square in the jaw, leaving it to hang freakishly for the rest of the match in an obvious injury. Panther didn't seem to notice though, caught up in all the excitement and he went on to continue the beatdown, finishing off the rookie with his Panther Crusher [Double Arm DDT] finisher.

Winners: B-Panther, Nate DeMarcus & Oscar Tufnel, by pinfall

Kick City Connection (Winters & Sato) vs Sawyer Sports Services (Daniels & Torres)

Former opponents turned allies Claire Winters and Eri Sato have more than just similar styles inside the ring; they seem to have an intrinsic understanding of each other and that leads to them having surprising flow as a team. Daniels and Torres found themselves in much trouble trying to make a stand against the faces and a large part of it seemed to be due to the language barrier, but Torres showed she's on the same page as everyone else in Sawyer Sports Services when she raked the eyes of Sato to create an opening for herself so she could apply the Venus Fly-Trap for the tap out.

Winners: Sawyer Sports Services, by submission after Mariana Torres blatantly cheated.

COTT World Tag Team titles match

Shiva & Peppin Leon © vs The Death Squad

Still making a name for themselves in their native Canada, the COTT World Tag Team champions were met with complete silence from the PDW fans, who were instead in full support of the badass monster heels. The match delivered exactly what fans wanted to see here, with Wolfe and Annihilus tossing the champions around like rag dolls before the Finnish super heavyweight applied the Choke Grip on Leon.

Winners: The Death Squad, by submission

The Death Squad win the COTT World Tag Team titles.

Backstage and surrounded by her clients, Lisa Bowen delivered a promo to hype up herself as she mentioned how she led the Heartbreak Express to tag team gold, Jebediah to becoming the Piledriver US champion and even Jonah Pilgrim at Wrestler Bowl to pick up a rare win.

Piledriver United States title match

The Architect vs Jebediah © (with Lisa Bowen)

The Architect entered this match with the attitude of a man who was looking to prove a point and he wasn't shy about it, taunting the champion and his manager especially about being "an insult to MAW's legacy" and how he would win the "Mid Atlantic American title". It didn't take long for his act to anger the Amish champion and with his challenger busy playing to the audience, Jebediah attacked. It was all Jeb from there, with the Architect never able to slow down the pace and turn this into a cerebral technical battle until he was hit with the Sundown Splash.

Winner: Jebediah, by pinfall

Jebediah makes defence number 4 of his Piledriver United States title.

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera cut a promo next, bragging about how he finally proved he's better than Lenny Brown when he beat him at Wrestle Bowl. "Glorious" Logan Diaz walked by and his sight was a chance for the cocky Puerto Rican to point out how he once again did better than Diaz; he's now a two time Piledriver Champion when Logan hasn't held that title yet. Finally getting under the skin of Diaz, the big man told Ferrera that the winner of tonight's main event will be fighting him for the title next, but at War for Territory #17, it'll be the two of them. Ferrera did argue that Diaz hasn't earned a title shot, he's not even in the #1 contender match tonight. While valid, his point didn't phase Diaz, who told the champion to find a teammate and meet him in a tag match instead; he already had someone in mind for himself anyway...

Three Way Elimination match

Winner gets a shot at the Piledriver Championship

Masked Patriot vs Scythe vs Syd Collier

Patriot and Scythe have had their issues, but it was the addition of MAW's final champion that really made things interesting. Collier brought an extra body and his own technical prowess, preventing the match from being another fistfight between Patriot and Scythe. Of course, he did retreat at first and let the other two to go at each other's throats, but once he returned to pick his spots against the damaged men, the match really began to find its pace. Taking the easy way out, Collier focused his attacks on the Middleweight winner of the Rip Chord Invitational instead of the massive Scythe. While effective, his tactic took a while to yield any results and in the meantime, Scythe recovered and managed to eliminate Collier after he hit him with a big chokeslam.

With Masked Patriot and Scythe now left in the match, things boiled down to a classic good vs evil deal, with the added bonus of Patriot fighting an uphill battle after Collier had worn him down. A classic recipe played to perfection, Scythe did his part as the big powerhouse who beat down on his opponent before Patriot made his inevitable comeback. Just as the momentum seemed to shift...

2FjO0qV.jpg

...Scythe's disciple, Reaper, made his way down to the ring. Patriot was aware (a man Reaper's size is neither fast nor subtle) but exhausted and forced to once again keep an eye out for both opponents. Things looked grim for the fan favorite, until he unexpectedly ducked under a spinning lariat from Reaper, which instead connected with an approaching Scythe. Shocked at accidentaly hitting his ally, Reaper lost focus and ate a big DDT from Patriot, who then dropped the elbow on a fallen Scythe to make the pin and become the new #1 contender for the Piledriver Championship.

Winner: Masked Patriot, by pinfall after Reaper accidentally hit Scythe

Raw Power 2019 show card & narrative

lh2JDXB.jpg

I left the Delaware Auditorium feeling spent. The show had gone down well, but there was so much to take into consideration as I made my way home.

nXGgqIU.jpgz2xzuff.jpg

B-Panther had made his debut with a win to build momentum, but his performance was marred by a crushing hook that ended up breaking Kenneth Drebin's jaw. Neither man had any hard feelings towards the other, nor did Panther get any heat with the locker room for it, but it wasn't exactly the best way to kick off his run with Piledriver Wrestling. The injury was minor, but were it greater or had it been done on someone who wasn't a nobody rookie, things would have gone very different.

3XM4dah.jpgWuYw4C6.jpg

My monsters also won the COTT Tag Team titles and while that may have come as a surprise to fans, those who knew the way COTT worked were not surprised. Thunder & Lightning were a good team and worthy champions to take the belt off the Ring Generals, but Too Hot crossed a line when he switched the belts to Peppin Leon and Shiva. It wasn't just the kayfabe rule (and unwritten honor code) that demanded titles to be won by people from different promotions to maintain the flavor of COTT gold being something larger than a single promotion; Leon and Shiva were barely known in Canada. They weren't workers who could travel around and get defenses under their belt.

I was over my bitterness about Smith beating Scythe for the World Heavyweight title, but after the merger with MAW, the founders of the Confederation and with War for Territory gaining momentum, I wanted one of the three titles. Foxxy LaRue refused to drop the gold to Eri Sato and while I wasn't happy about it, I understood her. This however, was my chance. 4C had shot themselves in the foot and this was the perfect opportunity to re-establish the Death Squad and myself as their manager. That of course left the Heartbreak Express with no challengers for the Piledriver Tag Team titles, but I was going to make some calls and rectify that. Besides, we were just months before the Sam Keith Classic, might as well build up a few teams and make it better than last year's rush job.

uN4bdE9.jpgMzjfHKV.jpgFHUEpiU.jpgpmHS2Ce.jpg2FjO0qV.jpg

As for our main event scene, things had been set to motion. Logan announced a tag match for two shows ahead and the events of the final match planted the seeds for some long-term things I wanted to do. We were finally established to the point where I didn't have to worry that much about talent raids or the competition. Speaking of which...

latest?cb=20180707180907

Son of a...

I fired up my phone to check out totalextremewrestling.com in search of verification that we had once again gotten a better rating than RIPW's show did. Which we had, but following tonight's round of shows, SWF's feeder league had now climbed up to being ranked as a "Regional" promotion.

Yeah, they were a step ahead in the race but we were still putting on better shows. We were beating them in the Tri State area's "Regional Wars". Hell, we'd finally stop being compared to their Hollywood level production values. This was a blessing in disguise, come to thing of it. We would build a solid foundation. We would grow in the shadow of their arrogance. And when the time is right, we would strike.

Claire Winters, Eri Sato & Marie Punnen vs <strong>Sawyer Sports Services (Daniels, Trigg & Torres)</strong></p><p>

They are on a roll and use cheating to win, so they continue to get the win probably by cheating. If the other team wins I feel it will either be by DQ or a botched interference.</p>

I think Xavi will win through some sort of shady tactics. He only just got the belt back and while I don't think he's going to reign forever -- I do think he is going to have a good run.</p><p> </p><p>

Semi Main Event</p><p>

This pains me, but Scythe and Reaper need the win to keep their monster heel mystique. Reaper cost Scythe the match last show. They had some miscommunication. So IF they lose this, I think it will be to set up Scythe versus Reaper as a feud.</p><p> </p><p>

Special Tag Team match</p><p>

Sawyer Sports Services (Daniels, Trigg & Torres, with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

In the ongoing saga of Sawyer Sports Services versus former member and Piledriver Women's champion Claire Winters, the playboy's trio wrestled the MMA-themed team of Winters, Sato and roookie Marie Punnen. Despite her long absence, Punnen has been busy wrestling pre-show matches and thus showed no signs of ring rust as she took on the powerhouse Trigg. Though less experienced, Trigg was able to (wo)manhandle her opponent around until the tag was made to Sato, who hit some double team moves with Winters to take down their inexperienced opponent. A distraction from Sawyer bought Trigg some time to tag in Daniels and the pace picked up with blows left and right until Torres got the tag to slow things down. The submission-favoring luchadora had an interesting exchange with Winters, perhaps a prequel of a clash many expect to see them have over the title, but an enthusiastic Punnen tagged herself in to provide some relief, only to get caught in the Venus Fly-Trap [Rolling Cross Armlock]. Punnen fought as long as she could, but never made it out of the hold or to the ropes. Neither did she tap out either though; it was Torres who pulled the arm with a sickening sound, intentionally injuring Punnen as referee Alvin Lavin called for the bell.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Sawyer Sports Services, by stoppage after Punnen was injured and unable to continue</strong></p><p><strong>

Once the Architect and Jonah Pilgrim made their entrances, Syd Collier came out with a microphone to announce that he requested this match for a reason. The Architect is loyal to the spirit of MAW, but has been... lacking, both as Collier's teammate and as a singles competitor, most recently losing to Jebediah in a US title match. Pilgrim... well, is Pilgrim BUT recently somehow scored the pin in a multi man match against the Death Squad SO... Collier spoke to the powers that be and they've agreed to make this a Loser Leaves Piledriver Wrestling match!</p><p>

Class Act Challenge match: Loser Leaves Piledriver Wrestling</strong></p><p><strong>

The Architect vs Jonah Pilgrim</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Given the set-up and stipulation, this match downplays the actual wrestling in favor of telling the story of those involved. Thankfully, the two men seem to really hit it off in the ring anyway, so things really work out fine. The Architect seeks to regain some momentum and prove himself to Collier, the shadow of Cameron Jones and The Dynamite Express meaning he has some big shoes to fill. Pilgrim, on the other hand, has been a bit off since the departure of his mentor/master/frat buddy Hal Harvard and the last thing he wants here is to lose his job too. As guest commentator Collier says, if Pilgrim wins, he'll have rid him of some dead weight. If not, the Architect will have saved everyone from having to see Pilgrim's pudgy frame in a Piledriver Wrestling ring ever again; either way, Collier wins. Inside the ring though, it's the Architect who wins once he manages to properly lock in the Blueprint. Pilgrim delays the tap for dramatic effect as he weighs his career against his physical well being, eventually chosing to live and fight another day.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: The Architect, by submission</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="7rS8uzo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7rS8uzo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="OMuDnHg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OMuDnHg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="4LTspFc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4LTspFc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Once the ring is clear and Jonah Pilgrim departed for good, out comes Vinny Cruz, the sleazy manager who led QAW's stable of 'Ronin 3' to much success. He isn't alone though, he's brought two big country boys in overalls, Thimbleby Langron and Wooton Fitzpane of SWF fame as Iowa's "The Good Ol' Boys". All three men get an insanely hot reaction from the sold out audience and Cruz reveals these men he met while working in the South East as the mystery team scheduled to face B-Panther and Nate DeMarcus tonight!</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

B-Panther & Nate DeMarcus vs The Good Ol' Boys (with Vinny Cruz)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Having to wrestle against a pair of hillbilies really seems to grind B-Panther's gears, so much that he absolutely loses focus and swings wide for most of the match. DeMarcus does his best to carry the team, but against the power of his opponents and their supreme experience wrestling together, there is little he can do to stop them. Vinny Cruz meanwhile only watches with a smug smile from ringside. No cheering, no guiding, no distractions, he just lets the Good Ol' Boys do what they do best until they hit B-Panther with the Iowa Harvest for the pin.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: The Good Ol' Boys, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

Right after the match, a video package airs to hype up Piledriver Wrestling's tag team division: The Good Ol' Boys have arrived, the Death Squad captured the COTT World Tag Team titles and the Heartbreak Express are Piledriver Tag Team champions. Things are picking up for tag team wrestling in the company and with the annual Sam Keith Classic coming up, fans can expect more surprises like the one witnessed tonight!</p><p>

Scythe & Reaper vs Riley McManus and Logan Diaz</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Scythe and Reaper would normally be the obvious favorites here thanks to their overwhelming size and power advantage, but given their problematic timing as a team and Reaper's recent "accident" that cost Scythe a shot at the Piledriver Championship, the playing field is actually pretty even. Diaz has the power to go toe to toe with the opposition and coupled with the ring acumen of McManus makes for some pretty exciting wrestling. Despite a pretty open match though, McManus lacks the physicality to really push his opposition and in a scary display of power, Reaper lifts him up for a powerbomb, assisted by one of Scythe's trademark chokeslams [Think KES' Killer Bomb from NJPW] to end the match.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Scythe & Reaper, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="pmHS2Ce.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pmHS2Ce.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2FjO0qV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2FjO0qV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Instead of celebrating, Reaper turns to face Scythe as Diaz helps McManus backstage. Reaper says something about being "ready to complete his training" before, to everyone's shock, he puts both hands on Scythe's neck, lifts him up in a freakish display of strength and slams him onto the mat with a sit-out choke bomb!</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="sma3Die.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sma3Die.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Piledriver Championship title match</strong></p><p><strong>

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera © vs Masked Patriot</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Though they're no strangers to each other, Ferrera and Patriot have only wrestled each other in a singles match once before and that was at this year's Rip Chord Invitational, making this their first ever one on one confrontation over the top prize of Piledriver Wrestling. Patriot approaches this with the confidence of a man who won the first encounter and went on to win the entire Invitational, but Ferrera is not the same man he remembers from January. Indeed, Xavi seems to be a step ahead of his challenger and uses this foresight to maintain control of the match, having studied Patriot's simple-yet-effective wrestling style since they last met. The challenger finds himself on the defensive for most of the first fifteen minutes, before he slowly, excruciatingly begins to claw his way back into the match through sheer determination and pure american grit. Drawn into the match by Patriot's fighting spirit on display, fans cheer him on and Ferrera's confidence turns to fear as he realizes he can't keep Patriot down for the three count, again and again, no matter what he pulls off. Once past the 20 minute mark, Ferrera goes into panic mode and rolls out of the ring to make way for the timekeeper's table. Patriot gives chase, only to get slammed in the face with the title belt, leading to Ferrera's disqualification but no title change.</p><p>

I hate seeing Scythe go. Your use of him is what got me to bring him back to The Climb and give him another run (and he's doing very well for me now). Hate to see him go, but glad it's to a COTT territory so he could still make the occasional shots and hopefully work a blow off match with Reaper so he can put the new monster over.</p>

I actually hate hillbilly/redneck gimmicks. I have never used the good ol’ boys as such lol

I did, however, love the rockers and that’s how I book heartbreak express

Additionally, nothing you could do would make me like Xavi lmao

From that point on, the Express used their experience to double team their opponent and turn things round. Although initially unwiling to work together with the Good Ol' Boys, Winchester was forced to retreat and tag in Fitzpaine, taking the match into a clash of established tag teams. After some back and forth, Winchester forcefully tagged himself back in and demanded to wrestle the man who took his Piledriver US title. Jebediah obliged, leading to a current versus former title holder exchange of blows until Langton returned the favor and blind tagged himself back in. Jebediah held his ground against the two hillbilly heavyweights but their teamwork was too much to handle so he handed the wheel back to the Express. Needham came in flying, but Langton caught him mid-air to reverse into the Gutwrench Flapjack and score the pin.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Buck Winchester & The Good Ol' Boys, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="MzjfHKV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MzjfHKV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="uN4bdE9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uN4bdE9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> "Glorious" Logan Diaz came to the ring next, calling out "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera to wrestle the tag match he challenged him to a month ago. Ferrera was unwilling to call for the tag, but once Knight tagged him in, he was all too happy to put the young grasshopper in his place. Xavi used his skill and experience edge to trick James Diaz into wrestling the style that suited the champion better, disrespectfully slapping him around and talking trash before whipping him to the corner and daring Logan to come in. That he did, leading to some pretty exciting wrestling until Knight blind tagged himself in. This caused some discord on the heel team, but it also allowed Logan to tag his cousin back in. Being a luchador herself, Perez theoretically knew how to deal with the former CILL grappler, yet the execution was widely different from theory. The high flying style of "T-Pez" looked completely at odds with the ground, if not mat based submission style of Torres and neither woman looked exceptionally good in this bout. As an adjustment on the fly, the competitors toned down the action to emphasize their clash of characters and build up drama, but there was little they could do to salvage the match before Torres slapped on the Venus Fly-Trap.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Mariana Torres, by submission</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="n1i1cZU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/n1i1cZU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cfAEiGT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cfAEiGT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="aMXABmX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aMXABmX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Even after the bell, Torres refused to let go and for a split second, it felt like she'd snap another arm after Punnen's but "Ice Cold" Claire Winters' music hit and she came out with the title around her waist and a mic in hand. At the sight of the Piledriver Women's champion, Torres let go and got back on her feet as Sawyer slid into the ring to join her. In a solid promo, Winters said she's sick of Torres' games and the rest of the division shouldn't pay for her ambition with their bodies and their careers; she'll give Torres what she wants, a singles match for the Piledriver Women's title. Sawyer, who had been translating everything to Torres all along, immediately accepted and his client seemed to agree, as she did the universal 'title belt' gesture around her waist.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <img alt="oiCenqK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oiCenqK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Idx6BNr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Idx6BNr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7rS8uzo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7rS8uzo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Backstage, the grizzled tough lumberjacks known as The Boys from the Yukon were glaring menacingly at the camera when Vinny Cruz joined them to announce that they are not here tonight as a one-night deal to represent NYCW; Howlin' Mad Mort and Whitehorse Whittaker signed contracts with Piledriver Wrestling and he will be representing them in and out of the ring!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="SJYcxhu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SJYcxhu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vunGiRs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vunGiRs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="oiCenqK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oiCenqK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Idx6BNr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Idx6BNr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="7rS8uzo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7rS8uzo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Riley McManus & Quentrel Garner vs The Boys from the Yukon (with Vinny Cruz)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> McManus and Garner may not be a regular team like their opponents, but their clinical wrestling style and clean cut attitude made them feel like they belong together or at least, given their age and experience gap, have a mentor-protege kind of relationship. Garner began the match against Whittaker, who looked like he was having trouble against the young prospect. With McManus guiding him from the apron, Garner pushed back the big man and the tag was made to Mort. Looking a bit better than his teammate, Howlin' Mad Mort punished the young rookie and McManus had to intervene. He and Mort wrestled the bulk of the remaininig match, both tagging in their teammates when they were starting to run out of stamina. Garner yet again sought to outwrestle Whittaker, but he made a rookie mistake when he fell for the yelling of Vinny Cruz that threw him off guard just long enough for the lumberjack team to grab him for their Tiiiiiiiiiiimber double team finisher to get the win.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: The Boys from the Yukon, by pinfall after Vinny Cruz interfered</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="FHUEpiU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FHUEpiU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2rzwtJa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2rzwtJa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2FjO0qV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2FjO0qV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yNQekBM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yNQekBM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Patriot Power (Masked Patriot & Miss Atlantic Wrestling) vs Reaper & "The Goth" Nancy Hollands</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Harking back to when Patriot Power faced Scythe & Reaper in Piledriver Wrestling's first ever mixed gender match, this one was a true intergender match that had a male and a female wrestler in each team. Miss Atlantic Wrestling began fighting the debuting (in the main show, at least) Piledriver School graduate Nancy Hollands and although "the Goth" proved herself to be a decent all-arounder, there was no doubt that Sam Keith's protege was the better wrestler of the two. Sensing that herself, the masked technician tried to apply her Kentucky Fried Chickenwing finisher for a quick win, but Hollands hopped around until she was close enough to tag Reaper in. As the 360lb monster entered the ring, there was no doubt how the matchup would play out and so Miss Atlantic Wrestling retreated to tag her partner in. Once again, Masked Patriot and Reaper collided in the ring and for all the fan support, Patriot just couldn't cut it against the massive man. Just as Reaper was about to execute his finisher though, the lights flickered and his blood seemed to freeze. Everyone expected Scythe to show up in search of vengeance, but he never did. Still, Reaper let his opponent go and tagged Hollands back in, taking his place on the apron as he looked around cautiously. Hollands wasn't shy about doing some damage to her opponent, but when Patriot blocked a chop he proved to be a gentleman when he refused to hit back and instead tagged Miss Atlantic Wrestling back in, who applied the Kentucky Fried Chickenwing on her trapped opponent and with Reaper unwilling to break things up, Hollands finally tapped out.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Patriot Power, by submission</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="N2uDJNN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N2uDJNN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="MTergdN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MTergdN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="BX7IQui.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BX7IQui.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> COTT World Heavyweight title match</strong></p><p><strong> "American Patriot" Bulldozer Brandon Smith © vs "Class Act" Syd Collier</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Yet again, the COTT World Heavyweight champion returned to Delaware under the mask of American Patriot, a reference that seemed to enrage his challenger who wouldn't stop yelling about this being a disgrace to MAW's legacy and telling Smith that he was spitting on the legacy he built with that company. Collier ate a big boot for his words and fans exploded into cheers as the match kicked off (literally) with a bang. Smith backed the challenger into a corner and unloaded onto his chest with a flurry of chops, a spot he probably picked up wrestling in Japan, but the subsequent suplex wasn't enough to keep Collier down for the three count. After the exciting start, things slowed down as Collier tried to turn this into a grappling contest and Smith found himself on the defensive. "Class Act" was aiming for a submission, a style Smith is not really known for but more than once, the defending champion showed his technical prowess and strength when he powered out to slam Collier onto the mat. The repeated damage slowly took its toll on Collier who was struggling to continue and that allowed Smith to get back in the match, leading to a ring-shaking Backdrop Driver for the pin.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "American Patriot" Bulldozer Brandon Smith, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> "American Patriot" Bulldozer Brandon Smith makes defence number 5 of his COTT World Heavyweight title</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="King Bison" data-cite="King Bison" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46150" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Additionally, nothing you could do would make me like Xavi lmao</div></blockquote><p> He's a cocky heel, you're not supposed to like him <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
