War for Territory #21

Saturday, Week 2 September, 2019

Live from the North Carolina Biker Museum, NC

Main Event

COTT World Heavyweight title match

Masked Patriot vs Riley McManus vs Xavi Ferrera

I am biased towards Riley, but I think Xavi is going to win. He has been easily one of my favorite characters here.

Semi Main Event

Piledriver United States title match

Buck Winchester © vs George Wolfe

Buck has been doing good as a champ and I don't really like George in general

Special Singles Showcase match

"The Goth" Nancy Hollands vs Nicole Pyle

She has a nickname lol

Opener

Four Way Elimination Tag match

Winner will face the Heartbreak Express for the Piledriver Tag Team titles

Double Diaz vs The Boys from the Yukon vs The Good Ol' Boys vs The Mid Atlantic Express

Double Diaz are one of my favorite teams. I think Boys from the Yukon and Good Ol' Boys will be too focused on each other.

Piledriver Wrestling Presents

War for Territory #21

Saturday, Week 2 September, 2019

Live from the North Carolina Biker Museum, NC

Main Event

COTT World Heavyweight title match

Masked Patriot vs Riley McManus vs Xavi Ferrera

Two of the guys that current writers here have made two of my favorites. So who do I pick to win? The guy I least like and the one that wouldn’t do business recently

Semi Main Event

Piledriver United States title match

Buck Winchester © vs George Wolfe

Where does George go from here? I only see him winning if earlier in the show he aligns with Bowen. Since we don’t know I say he goes this one alone and then decides to give Lisa a call

Special Singles Showcase match

"The Goth" Nancy Hollands vs Nicole Pyle

I don’t think Pyle has ever won a singles match so the lady with the nickname gets the win

Opener

Four Way Elimination Tag match

Winner will face the Heartbreak Express for the Piledriver Tag Team titles

Double Diaz vs The Boys from the Yukon vs The Good Ol' Boys vs The Mid Atlantic Express

Let’s see the Vinny Cruz front and center with those teams I see them both brawling all over the arena to basically leave the Diaz Boys and the X-Press. With his new contract in hand, I see the X-Press winning for the chance to take on the champs

Langton and Fitzpaine trade blows with the Diaz cousins to start the match, doing their best to isolate young James on their corner. Easier said than done, of course, but the Good Ol' Boys match him in size and have both the numbers and experience edge. The cover attempt though is broken up by Whittaker and that leads to what everyone had been expecting all along, a brawl between the grizzled Canadian lumberjacks and the Iowa farm boys. Meanwhile, James and Logan Diaz go after the Mid Atlantic Express outside the ring; well aware that the battlefield favors their opponents, Collier and the Architect quickly slide back into the ring, where Collier is trampled upon impact with the massive Mort while the Architect gets hit with the Iowa Harvest to get pinned by Fitzpaine while Langton keeps Whittaker busy with big forearm shots.</p><p> </p><p> Good Ol' Boys are in control but before they can continue beating down the Boys from the Yukon, the Diaz cousins get back into the ring; the smaller Logan goes to work on Langton while James takes on Fitzpaine. The Good Ol' Boys are whipped to the ropes and end up colliding with each other in the middle of the ring, before a Diaz falls on top of each for stereo covers that eliminate the winners of this year's Sam Keith Classic.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="2FjO0qV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2FjO0qV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> Before the Diaz cousins can savour their victory, Reaper comes down to the ring and throws his full weight at Logan with an avalanche. James rushes to the rescue and given how he manages to force Reaper to retreat, official Alvin Lavin lets the match continue. Logan is out though and James is left to fend off the Yukon boys on his own. It's an uphill battle though and one he ends up losing when he gets hit with "Tiiiiiiiiiiimber" and Whittaker makes the cover while cousin Logan is still down. </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: The Boys from the Yukon, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="orMSYPb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/orMSYPb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="k2Enuj8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/k2Enuj8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PSW6j5L.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PSW6j5L.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Backstage, the Heartbreak Express are watching the action and their future opponents before Lisa Bowen turns to the camera and delivers a promo to hype up the title match. Bowen says the Boys from the Yukon are big and scary, but they seem to have lost Cruz from their corner and must also keep an eye out for payback from the Good Ol' Boys. Her clients have nothing of that sort to worry about and will be 100% focused, which is why when the dust settles, they will still be the Piledriver Tag Team champions!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="yNQekBM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yNQekBM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="AdZKSls.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AdZKSls.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> "The Goth" Nancy Hollands vs Nicole Pyle</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Two Piledriver School of Wrestling graduates rarely seen in a ring (unless you count pre-show matches) are up for action next and both ladies do their absolute best to deliver a good performance now that they have been given a chance. There's little actual wrestling and absolutely no aerial moves, but between Winchester's barroom brawling style and Wolfe's blend of slams and suplexes, the match never gets boring. Of course, everyone expects Annihilus and Sheik Ali Al-Avatar to show up and mess the match for Wolfe but they never do, even when he picks up Winchester for his Running Powerslam finisher. When the ref starts the count, Annihilus does indeed come out but the super heavyweight is so slow and plodding, he never makes it to the ring in time to break up the pin and Wolfe actually ends up winning the match to become the new Piledriver United States champion!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: George Wolfe, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> George Wolfe wins the Piledriver United States title</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="3XM4dah.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3XM4dah.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="WuYw4C6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WuYw4C6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="lh2JDXB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lh2JDXB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The title is handed to Wolfe and though the match is over, he defiantly stays in the ring for the imminent clash with former tag team partner Annihilus. As usual, Sheik Ali Al-Avatar shouts curses and overall wacky stuff at his former client, but Wolfe responds with some shouting of his own about him "carrying the Squad", being better on his own and Annihilus holding him back. Finally, the super heavyweight gets in the ring and after an intense staredown, Annihilus and Wolfe explode into a brawl. Returning from a minor rib injury is fan favorite and longest reigning Piledriver champion Masked Patriot. Xavi Ferrera is not only the current but also the only two time Piledriver champion. As for Riley McManus, he's probably the underdog in terms of achievements but he's been with the company since day one; he's held the top prize and remains a dangerous competitor at all times. The match itself delivers on the hype with quality action that starts off slow and never stops building up. Ferrera is out to prove a point and although the setup would favor him acting all weaselly, he stays in the match and wrestles like a proper athlete. McManus has a huge spot where he blocks a Ferrerarana, then lifts up his opponent in a powerbomb-ish predicament to bounce him off the top rope and fall behind into a flapjack. Had the hold been different, this could have been a Slingshot Suplex, but now McManus only gets away with a two count. Xavi's top spot is a High Impact Frog Splash he hits to the outside of the ring on Masked Patriot, taking him out of action for quite some time. He gets back just in time to join the other two men fighting on the corner and execute a 3 man Tower of Doom, from which he rolls on top of McManus for the pin.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Masked Patriot, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> Masked Patriot wins the COTT World Heavyweight title</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="IqChfad.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IqChfad.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46150" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Author's note: I usually write the shows as I run them, but I ran this one as soon as I posted the card and I'm only writing it out now, so I knew the results when everyone's predictions came in. Also, shout out to Theheel for being the only one who predicted the main event right, even if his train of thought felt absolutely crazy. Xavi's busy defending a title already and too young for such a big push, McManus has his hands full with the MAW Express and Garner, so I went with Patriot. He's in the position where Scythe was not long ago, too big for my roster and representing us in various territories until someone eventually snatches him up.</div></blockquote>

He and Cattley were sharpening their blades and I was glad. Meant they were feeling the pressure. Meant we were becoming a force to be reckoned with.</p><p> </p><p> TITAN Factory Wrestling was indeed what had inspired me to build a promotion around the Piledriver School of Wrestling, but this wasn't about who thought of it first or who did it better. TFW had risen to Regional size way before we did. Technically, there were a step ahead of us on all fronts and I'd been good to them. We had the talent trade deal and I even lobbied in favor of bringing them into the COTT fold, but that was vetoed by Vessey and we got QAW to cover the Texas territory. Their shows were getting better ratings than ours on a steady basis. But we'd both grown too big for our respective territories and fanbases began to overlap. I didn't like Dread's decision, but I understood it. Besides, we barely put that deal to use these days and the COTT provided us with an ample talent pool to draw from.</p><p> </p><p> Cattley was different. We were absolutely destroying them in the Tri State area. Month after month, Piledriver Wrestling would win the "Regional Wars" there and NYCW held number two, leaving the Eisens' feeder league on the last spot. The underdogs were slaying his corporate goliath, month in and month out. And to make matters worse, they were doing it out of the Mid Atlantic, where not that long ago he was running MAW. Whether they were MAW alumni or RIPW/SWF dropouts, our roster was making a fool of Cattley when they showed the world what he had thrown away. So he did what any cog in the Eisen machine would do: he vowed to destroy us.</p><p> </p><p> It is said having enemies means you've stood up for something. <p>I admit my explanation of the main event on the last show was convoluted lol but your reasoning with Patriot was what was on my mind. He isn’t likely to be around long term so he perfect for the COTT World title. That plus he is probably more over in places outside of the Piledriver areas.</p><p> </p><p>

Ok I learned my lesson on nickname talent. Now if Hollands nickname was the Gothic Princess/Queen then she definitely would have won.</p><p> </p><p>

I usually never pick a mystery opponent but it's in the main event so I have a feeling it's a big name, maybe Alicia Strong since for some reason she struggles to stay employed (written deal) in all my saves. </p><p> </p><p>

Team Bowen (Jebediah & George Wolfe) vs Team Sheik (Annihilus & Carl Bernard)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Show kicks off with a hot rivalry, following the face turn of George Wolfe in order to have a go at being a singles star. His former partner is anything but excited and his former manager seems to be looking for a replacement in "Killer" Carl Bernard, yet Wolfe has already achieved success by winning the Piledriver United States title. Lisa Bowen has been gunning to be his manager and used Jebediah to save him more than once, leading to this matchup. Though Jebediah starts the match in control over the rookie Bernard, when he tags in Wolfe, Bowen tries to encourage him by shouting out something about how it's done and how Jebediah also won the US title after accepting her help. The comparison is probably meant to fire up Wolfe, but it does so the wrong way and after a few minutes in the ring, he stubbornly refuses to tag Jebediah back in. Instead, he pushes Bernard to the corner and demands that Annihilus comes in the ring to face him. The big man obliges and former partners share an intense staredown before eventually coming to blows. This is a personal battle and it often gets out of hand, to the point where official Alvin Lavin has trouble getting the two wrestlers to respect his authority. For his trouble, he ends up catching a stray blow from the Finnish super heavyweight that knocks him down and just seconds later...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="ejbjbKm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ejbjbKm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Buck Winchester jumps the guardrail and grabs the US title belt from the timekeeper's table, sliding into the ring to smash Wolfe in the face with it! Winchester yells out something about this being *his* title and Jebediah gets in the ring to defend his fallen partner; after some back and forth shoving with Winchester, the Texas native swings the belt at Jebediah too, but the amish grappler barely sidesteps and momentum spins Winchester around to smash the belt onto Bernard! Meanwhile, the ref comes to and Winchester rushes to leave the ring while Jebediah force-tags himself in to continue for his team and hit the Sundown Slpash on the fallen Bernard for the pin.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: George Wolfe & Jebediah, by pinfall after botched interference from Buck Winchester</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

As soon as the bell is rung, Annihilus gets in the ring and so does Winchester. The two men attack Jebediah and back him to a corner, but with Wolfe and Bernard recovering, this soon becomes a five man free for all until security storms the ring in a desperate attempt to break it up so the show can continue.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

The Mid Atlantic Express vs Riley McManus & Quentrel Garner</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Though both members of the Express beat McManus and Garner in singles matches recently, the reasoning behind this booking immediately becomes apparent as the Architect and Garner lock up in the middle of the ring: on the apron, Collier gets really vocal about how he finally beat McManus and it should have been him, not Riley, fighting for the COTT World Heavyweight title at War for Territory #21. Things only escalate when Garner is brought to the heels' corner as they cut the ring in half and put the boots to him while taunting the fallen rookie. Eventually, Collier drags the Canadian to the middle of the ring and begins to apply the Texas Cloverleaf, but before he can properly slap it on, an adrenaline rush from Garner has him escape the hold to make the desperate tag! McManus enters the ring and the crowd comes alive in expectation of him roughing up the annoyingly vocal Collier. Thanks to his rock solid mix of brawling and technical wrestling, McManus manages to beat down Collier before he takes him for a ride with a series of suplexes! Making the last one a release suplex allows the Architect to barely get close enough for the blind tag and the match continues as he sneaks into the ring in hopes of catching McManus unaware and apply the Blueprint. Riley is very aware though and it's actually him laying the trap when he surprises the Architect with a reversal, bouncing him off the top rope for the Slingshot Suplex!</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Riley McManus & Quentrel Garner</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Backstage, Vinny Cruz is shown alone as he addresses the camera. The sleazy manager cuts a hypocritical promo about how he's still neutral and how he tried to talk the Good Ol' Boys out of interfering tonight in search of vengeance, saying he will not be held accountable for whatever happens tonight. From his tone though, it is clear he's just trying to stay out of this and appeal to both sides. Or wait until one comes out on top and join them. Or maybe he has something else in store for tonight. Whatever the case, his words ring less than honest...</p><p>

It takes less than a few minutes after the pre-match promo for the Good Ol' Boys to show up and they charge out to attack the Boys from the Yukon before the match even begins. Whether impatient or plain dumb, Langtong and Fitzpaine don't exactly catch their targets by surprise or exhausted already and they certainly don't cost them the match. If nothing else, they're actually doing the champions a favor as they essentially soften up the big burly challengers before the match. Once the dust settles though and the locker room empties to break up the fight between the two teams, the match finally begins and this early attack has already taken its toll on the lumberjacks, making the bout a pretty balanced and competitive one. Needham makes the best of this opportunity and uses his speed to wear out his opponents and through quick tags with Liotta, the babyface champions literally blitzkrieg their way through the match until they hit Howlin' Mad Mort with the Heartbreak Kick [stereo Superkicks] for the pin to retain.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: The Heartbreak Express, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

Before the entrances for the next match, a pre-taped message from Logan Diaz airs on the big screen and speakers. Diaz talks about his ongoing rivalry with Ferrera as well as how Reaper has been haunting him and his cousin James. Tonight's match is a chance to get two birds with one stone and come Where It All Begins Again, he will defeat "The Athlete" one on one, for the Piledriver Championship, assuming of course he's still champion by then!</p><p>

Double Diaz vs Reaper & Xavi Ferrera</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The match begins with the powerhouse of each team as James Diaz and Reaper fight back and forth in a pretty standard big man brawl. The heel team is much less cohesive than the Diaz cousins though and for all their individual talent, they do not really seem to be any greater than the sum of their parts. Ferrera 'demands' to be tagged in and though Reaper hesitates at first, once he does tag his partner in, he barely pays any attention to what's happening in the ring. Once Logan gets the tagged to get in the ring with Ferrera, fans get a sneak peek of what they can expect when the two men clash at Where It All Begins Again. Reaper is all but happy with the fans' reaction though, perhaps realizing that after Scythe, he is now playing second fiddle to Ferrera and not having it. The tag is refused and even after Ferrera slaps the big man to forcefully tag him in, Reper returns the favor and hops off the apron. Ferrera is in shock but absolutely alone as the Diaz cousins scoop him up and hit him with their devastating new tag team finisher, the Diaz Death Driver [Assisted Piledriver] for the pin as Reaper looks on, almost pleased with the destruction he's witnessing.</p><p>

Piledriver Women's title match</strong></p><p><strong>

"American Woman" Lora Washington vs "Poison Ivy" Mariana Torres © (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

It seems insane, but former USPW talent Lora Washington is in a Piledriver Wrestling ring! Though she has all the momentum in the world on her side, she still takes her time to let fans soak in the moment until Torres crashes the party by disrespectfully slapping her challenger in the face! Again, in a masterful display of psychology, Washington pulls her head back in place real slow... before going full Hulk Hogan and pointing the finger! She then unleashes an opening salvo of strikes that have Torres rocking and the match is underway. After the rush of the big opening, Torres manages to lure her opponent in for a surprise arm drag and floats over to keep her on the mat as she slows down the pace of the match to work on Washington with submission holds. Her target as usual is Washington's arm, trying to soften it up for her deadly Venus Fly-Trap finisher but when she tries to apply it, Washington manages to get a foot on the ropes and force a break. Kipping up to a standing position first, Washington has a chance to regain control of the match but her strikes backfire and she really sells the arm damage, which forces her to take to the skies and go high risk, building a bit of momentum until she hits an impressive modified version of her July 4th Jam [seated Face Slam] off the second rope for the pin to become the new Piledriver Women's champion!</p><p>

Quick note, I've decided to not publish the card for War for Territory #22, as it'll be the final show before Where It All Begins Again and I want to make it full of spontaneous stuff, "impromptu" booking, challenges and surprises that will set up the card for WIABA. Kinda like Attitude Era WWF booking, but I lack the TV shows to be able to pull it off like that. War for Territory #22 is kind of a "trust the booker" situation.

<p>Well I expected the title change but didn’t have the wrestler coming (not returning) right. Totally did not see the addition of another patriot(ic) character. </p><p> </p><p>

I liked the fact that Reaper walked away from the arrogant champion. Reaper truly is that “lone wolf” character who doesn’t need anyone</p>

Team USA vs Team non-USA</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The uber patriotic trio of Masked Patriot, Lora Washington and Miss Atlantic Wrestling are out to warm up the crowd against a trio of "foreign heels" that makes little sense together besides being heels and not American. There's a lot of playing to the crowd and not much wrestling, but the match does what it's supposed to do and fans come alive cheering for the babyfaces while Sheik Ali Al-Avatar and "Playboy" Jake Sawyer get into a scuffle outside the ring that quickly gets their wrestlers involved. Bitch and Torres get in front of their manager for protection and there's a bit of tension as Annihilus teases whether or not he'll raise a hand, but then the bell rings and they all lose via countout.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Team USA, by countout</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

The match is over but surprises certainly aren't as Sawyer goes for a mic and Torres grabs it out of his hand to speak for herself. In heavily accented but passable English, the former Piledriver Women's champion accuses the sold out crowd for being "biased" and says their cheers tonight are evidence, just as Lora Washington being handed a title shot for her debut match is. Torres demands a title re-match and this time she won't be caught unprepared. Fans cheer and Washington gets on the mic as well to accept, saying she'll see her again in two weeks.</p><p>

Nate DeMarcus & Quentrel Garner vs The Mid Atlantic Express</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A slightly altered matchup from Deadly Game, this time it's Nate DeMarcus instead of Riley McManus teaming with Garner against Collier and the Architect. Not that either Mid Atlantic Express member seems to mind, as they loudly accuse DeMarcus of being a sell out and an insult to everything MAW stood for. The trash talk is enough to fire up DeMarcus for a strong opening to the match, though once Garner comes in, the heels exploit his inexperience to turn things around and slow down the pace of the match. Both Collier and the Architect work the rookie's lower back to soften it up for their submission finishers, but the Canadian musters the strength to fight back and make a desperate tag to DeMarcus, who charges in to demolish the Architect with a Snap Tackle for the pin.</p><p>

Backstage, the Heartbreak Express have been summoned before Gorgon in order to arrange the tag title match for Where It All Begins Again. The Boys from the Yukon are present, as are the Good Ol' Boys and the atmosphere feels like gunpowder. Gorgon says that both contenders have legitimate claims, but she won't be having another messy finish at the biggest show of the year, so she's putting everyone in the mix. The Express argue they only have to lose, so they have a counter-proposal: they'll put the titles on the line if Vinny Cruz agrees to only manage the losers. That way, they are risking their titles while each contending team will win either gold or Cruz on their corner. Gorgon agrees, Cruz agrees and so do the two contenders, thus making it official: at Where It All Begins Again, it'll be a three way tag elimination match.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Buck Winchester vs Riley McManus</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Harkening back to the first ever shows of Piledriver Wrestling, Winchester vs McManus is bound to be good and the in-ring action delivers indeed. Both men are veterans, former champions looking to climb up the rankings and shoot for the company's top prize, however that can only happen at the expense of their opponent tonight. That's the story told in this gruelling, evenly split match with Winchester showing he belongs up with the best of them despite ultimately falling to a Slingshot Suplex.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Riley McManus, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Backstage, George Wolfe is watching the action with Lisa Bowen nearby. The young manager once again pitches the idea of helping Wolfe, bringing up how she's led the Heartbreak Express to tag team gold an Jebediah to a US title reign. Wolfe argues he won the US title on his own, to which Bowen responds by saying Jebediah's scheduled to wrestle Ferrera for his title tonight and she could make the same happen for Wolfe down the line. Reluctanltly, Wolfe admits he'll need her help in two weeks: after Winchester and the Architect lost tonight, the only suitable contender for his title is Annihilus. The two former teammates will finally clash at Where It All Begins Again with the title on the line and Wolfe will need something to counter the presence of Sheik Ali Al-Avatar...</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

In a dimly lit setting, Reaper cuts a promo about he's not interested in Ferrera's rivalry with Diaz, which is why he abandoned him during their tag match at Deadly Game. All he cares about is being the biggest, baddest man on the roster. He's taken out every competitor, making him the most dominant force in Piledriver Wrestling, until he pauses mid-sentence and the camera pans to reveal...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Reaper's former mentor and tag team partner, Scythe! The Chokeslam Chief says he hasn't forgotten Reaper's betrayal, but he isn't back for him. In two weeks, at Where It All Begins Again... it will be him... versus Masked Patriot... and he wil reclaim his COTT World Heavyweight title!</p><p>

Piledriver Championship title match</strong></p><p><strong>

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera © vs Jebediah (with Lisa Bowen)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Given Ferrera's athleticism and Jebediah's recent weight loss, the main event is pretty open ended instead of a "David vs Goliath" squash case. Jebediah gets the chance to shine as a big man who can really move around the ring and he matches Ferrera's athleticism, to the point where the champion begins to feel the turning tide and in full view of the referee, drops to his knees for a blatant low blow that ends the match with him losing but retaining the title.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Jebediah, by disqualification</strong></p><p><strong>

Fan boos turn into cheers when Logan Diaz comes out with a mic in hand to cut a promo saying he's glad Xavi still has the title, even if he did so in such a cowardly manner... because when they get in the ring in two weeks, he'll have the chance to not only beat him, but take the Piledriver Championship title as well!</p><p>

Continuing the tradition of Mid Atlantic Wrestling, the show will be a night to remember and on top of a stacked card of matches, will also feature the first ever induction into the Piledriver Wrestling Hall of Fame.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, the returning Scythe will face off against Masked Patriot for the COTT World Heavyweight title. Although now representing NYCW, Scythe is a former holder of both the COTT World Heavyweight and the Piledriver Championship title. He and Masked Patriot have a storied rivalry and it is only fair for their clash to headline the year's biggest show.</p><p> </p><p> Right before that, two time Piledriver Champion Xavi Ferrera will finally be squaring off one on one with long time rival Logan Diaz with the title on the line. Despite a long and heated rivalry, the two men haven't faced each other in a singles match since February. Ferrera won that match, but no gold was on the line.
