If you had told me months ago that Jade will wrestle Thunder Rosa, Nyla Rose and Ruby Soho but have her best match against Anna Jay I would have laughed you out the thread. But the match was rather good and I'm happy for both ladies given their relative inexperience.

Nyla is just as green as Jade so that's not really a surprise in her case, but yeah, Rosa and Ruby should have been much better than Anna vs Jade on paper.

Jade's pump kick is horrifying though. I always feel like she's going to give everyone a concussion

<p>Red Velvet vs Janai Kai on Elevation was very good and much better than anything Velvet has done before. I was looking forward to see what Janai and Leyla do on Dark, but it was a squash. Shame. I really like Kai's look and the way she carries herself. She's quite unique and talented. Not sure where she would thrive career wise right now, but I'm going to keep an eye on her for sure.</p><p> </p><p>

Penta vs Wheeler was quite good as well. Very fun all around. </p><p> </p><p>

Jungle Boy vs Nick Comoroto was a very good showing for both men. Nick is coming along nicely. I still wish they'd team him with Brick Aldridge as a new era Jurassic Powers type tag team though. Nick as Hercules and Brick as Scott Norton.</p><p> </p><p>

That last bit is a joke, but I do genuinely wish they could tag together on AEW.</p>

<p>Janai Kai is someone AEW should should take a punt on and develop. I hope Willow Nightingale gets more shine in her future matches.</p><p> </p><p>

Yuta vs Penta was one of my favorite Dark matches ever.</p><p> </p><p>

I only watch Dark on FB but her match with Red Velvet was good. </p><p> </p><p> In general these are short 'fixed' matches to promote the roster talent, but at least they make the opponents look good instead of just being stupid squashes like in WWE where it's more of a demo for the trademark moves of a worker. Out of the women, only Brandi Rhodes' performance was a bit lackluster, but let's not comment on that.</p>

- Sammy © vs Cody © Ladder match was my MOTN. Expected Cody to win. Had some innovative spots and falls where I thought Sammy was legit injured.

- Team Taz promo outfits lol. FTW title finally being defended regularly. Wardlow smash.

- Inner Circle vs Garcia & 2Point0 was solid.

- Entertaining mic battle between Punk & MJF. Wardlow is almost over MJF's petty crap. Pirate Julia won't last long against Cargill.

- Hirsch vs Velvet was solid.

- The House of Black is inevitable. DMD handled the crowd well. Nyla mad.

- Cole vs Cassidy Lights Out match was great. Low blow finally backfired lol. DANHAUSEN with one of the best AEW debuts ever! No Gargano yet.

Damn. What a show. Other than the Velvet/Leyla match that went way too long, it was a very fun show

DANHAUSEN IS ALL ELITE

Now think of the matches! Danhausen vs. Pepsi Man, Danhausen vs. Chris Judas, Danhausen vs. All Ethan Egon Page, Danhausen vs. That Menace MJF.

I mea, it was good, but it didn't advance any storylines, and served no other purpose than to put a spotlight on Britt, who really doesn't need it at this point. I mean, that was promoted a week in advance, and THAT was it? Her just insulting Cleveland for like 10 minutes?</p>

I genuinely have this reignited love for wrestling because of AEW.</p>

Did anybody else notice Paul and Aubrey holding the ladders? I get it, high spots, safety. But I don't think I've ever seen that before. I even thought to myself at the start of the match it felt weird having Paul Turner in the ring in the first place. Have I just not noticed this before? Has AEW been doing this?

Not knocking the decision, by any means. Again, keep them safe. I just had genuinely never noticed this before.

They may have done it in the past, but Dynamite was the first time I noticed it.

I actually like the idea personally.

The wrestlers keep going for.more and more dangerous spots, so need some sort of safety net.

I'm sure there will be some morons online complaining about it because they'd rather the talent kill themselves for their entertainment.

Rampage was very match heavy this week and that's not a bad thing.

As usual, Taz, Excalibur, and Ricky are hysterical on commentary.

One thing I really liked was Excalibur explaining that Julia Hart didn't see the pump kick coming because it was on her blind eye side. Fantastic commentary.

Also, Bowens continues to develop into a versatile talent.

- Mox vs Bowens vs good. Danielson already strategizing. Darby laughing at Andrade's offer was fun.

- FTR vs Johnson & Brock was good.

- Julia vs Jade © was solid.

- Private Party vs Jurassic Express © was my MOTN.

He was absolutely corpsing. Nobody can fake a true laugh like that. So many quotables from Andrade in just those two minutes.

Where's your boss?

You think I work for Sting?

For some reason that exchange made me laugh so hard. I do like that Andrade's English is improving, but Jose cracks me up with his delivery. Kinda wish Alex Abrahantes would be his translator, but I just love Alex and want him on screen more.

- Mox vs Yuta was good. Danhausen! Thankfully no Kendrick but TK should spend more money on background checks. I like where this Mox/Danielson storyline is headed.... a variation on Kenny & Hangman teaming up then feuding.

- Brandi/Lambert segment went downhill fast until Paige showed up. Now it's obvious why Brandi is winning matches on Dark.

- Black Throne vs PAC & Penta was good. Knights?

- Put some respect on Budge's name.

- Nyla vs Ruby was good.

- Jungle Snowboy. Fun Hangman/Archer brawl. I hope this a Jericho heel turn. He lost steam as a babyface months ago.

- MJF vs Punk was a MOTY Contender. Punk's best match in AEW. Masterclass in selling. Wardlow provided the hesitant distraction.

Punk vs MJF was incredible. Everything else was kinda meh. Pac and Penta vs House of Black was not as good as I thought it would be, Yuta is a no-namer that was squashed by Mox a couple months ago, so no reason to care for this match and I just skip everything that Ruby Soho is a part of. Some good promos though.

This aged well lol.

Yeah, those videos are cringey as hell. He's claiming on Twitter that those aren't his real beliefs and has issued an apology. Who knows what's true now in regards to it. I only met him once and he seemed like a very cool dude, but that was just a 20 minute conversation.

Punk vs MJF was Punk's best match in AEW and I loved that it's 2022 and we got a well done Dusty finish.

Death Triangle vs Kings of the Black Throne was weirdly structured. I feel like

KotBT should be facing lower midcard teams to establish their dominance before going after bigger name teams like Death Triangle.

Yuta vs Mox was fun as hell and that's all the reason to care. Match quality matters.

Ruby vs Nyla was also quite good and it was much better than their match in the TBS tournament. Nyla is still greener than grass, but Ruby rules.

As for Bryan/Mox, I think Mox will turn down Bryan. I genuinely love the idea of Bryan mentoring Daniel Garcia AND 2point0 though. 2point0 is one of the most consistently entertaining parts of any show they're on and Garcia is something special.
