Never really posted here or been part of the community for some reason but playing WMMA games on and off now for a few years now. I wanna say like about 3 years ago I bought WMMA 3 on steam... So I really dug my teeth into WMMA 5 the last few weeks and got a huge GAMMA save going with the original database/roster. And with huge I mean I got like every half interesting fighter on the roster and added every single division. So I added the FW and BW division and the 3 woman divisons. Thats how I like to play, I wanna have the best fighters all over the world and wanna set up tons of interesting match ups, that create tons of storylines and so on. Now the problem is that file sadly crashed today and I'm fearing I have to start all over again which would be terrible. I'm already about 10 PPVs in, tons of interesting stuff already happend. Just one example maybe... Buddy Garner slided into the 1st MW Championship match because Dean got injured for a year and I stripped him and Buddy won the belt, defended it twice and a day before it crashed ingame got busted for recreational drugs and I stripped him... just one example of stuff thats just unrepeatable and that maybe got lost. And it really would be a shame if thats just over now... But if that happens I really wanna get a WMMA 5 save going again because I had so much fun the last few weeks but I figuered it can't be the exact same start... and thats where I'm asking for your help. How can I set up my next save thats fun and interesting and a little different. The first idea I had was maybe to set up the pre game database that I basically had my dream roster and guys like Sukarno, van der Moot and da Guia were at GAMMA from the start. I'd also like to make a few changes to the fighters ratings because with some fighters the balance towards my main dynasty in WMMA 3 is a little off. Or there was like this C-Verse thing in WMMA 4 I heard a little bit about which extended the roster and gave a whole new experience that way. If something like that would be available for WMMA 5 that could be interesting. But I definitly want it in the WMMA Verse and not like real-life fighters. Yeah I think thats about it for now. Could probably ramble on but if it gets any longer I don't know if anyone reads it anymore.^^ I would love te hear some feedback and some interesting ideas maybe to turn this thing into a positive. One example, I like to create my own versions of the universes I'm playing. Like my most recent Bellator save. Before starting the game I added as active a ton of workers who were retired in the mod, but active irl and also took the chance to activate some guys who are retired irl. Then I started my game and prayed for the best, as UFC could have signed them. One of them was Batista. There was also Rousey, etc. I also ended Punk's contract with the UFC before the game started and went on a bidding war for his services with UFC. I was able to sign all the guys I wanted, but cost me a lot of money, which in turns creates a new and fun reality. I signed a ton of people. Lesnar, Rousey, Punk, Batista, Liddell, and so many others. They cost more than the benefit they bring, although some will help me in my dream of overcoming UFC, but it is fun to have some big names and/or names I like to use around while I actually book proper fights to try and grow and surpass UFC.</p> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

No chance.</p></div></blockquote><p> Yeah, it's not hard to mod the game to create your own version of the universe that brings you more fun. As for the crashed save, you could go to the WMMA5 thread a bit below this one, on the WMMA5 section, as you will probably have a faster and direct response from Adam. But that's just my opinion, since I don't know how the game support from the site works. I usually deal with the few issues I have on the boards. Hope the save can be restored. But you can help this by going out of your way to make your first few cards different. Even if you like doing #1 vs #2 in the rest of your game, you need to switch it up at the beginning. If I would change the match making completely you can make the argument that the different timing and different experiences of the fighters changes everything and even different outcomes wouldn't be illogical. I guess I still don't like it enough to do it because eventually fights I highly anticipated before would probably feel the same a lot of the time. And thats what I'm kind of most interested in while playing. Setting up really fun and interesting match ups and seeing them through.</p><p> </p><p> I guess I could switch it up with doing mainly #1 vs. #2 in the ranks because I actually don't really look at that. I only look for having a ME with enough draw and choose the coolest most fitting match up in my opinion. Because especially at the start some better fighters are obviously a little lower ranked. But that WMMA 3 style match making got me in trouble with those new credibility and stability ratings.^^ But since it's not really hard to make it profit it didn't matter that much and I stayed around 75 all the time.</p> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The original file couldn't be saved but the stored back up of the file is working just fine. Lost a couple of days though and Garner snuck through the drug test this time around apperently.^^ Don't love that but I can't complain in general. Very happy to have it back.</p><p> </p><p> So don't need a new project at the moment but still got a lot of inspiration from you guys which was great.
