Sarumara dominated most of the match, slapped Gauge nearly to unconsciousness for a great nearfall. Gauge changed his tactics towards the end, bend over the rulebook and got a little bit help by his Squad boy Logan Diaz, who distracted the ref while Gauge hits a nutkick.

WCG World champion Razan Okamoto was clearly above Narahashi, still "The Dreamcatcher" didn't pay that much attention and played around instead of beating him. It was a blink of cockiness of Okamoto which gave Narahashi the time for a rest. The former Tag champ came back with good ol' fighting spirit after two Lariats (one against Razan's neck) he beats Okamoto with an insane pop in front of his hometown crowd.

He not only can beat his opponents with his new move "Inundation", he also got his ability back to submit his opponents with his Choke Sleeper. "Machine Gun" got a great nearfall when he hits his "Machine Gun Chop" series followed by a Lariat for a 2.9! However it was Kato who got the upperhand when he hits a Running Knee Strike and Inundation. Although Kato got the chance to pin Torii, he paused his actions and risked the gamble of doing the Choke Sleeper.

Toshusai and Suzuki brawled in the crowd and weren't keen to come back to the ring when Referee Shigemitsu nearly count them out. Suzuki tried to find his inner INSPIRE spirit when he had Tadakuni in an Armbar while Tadakuni's arm was between the guardrail. Without a strong arm Toshusai wasn't able to hit his Shock Treatment which was a big plus for "Genius" Hitomaro. After landing with a German, a Forearm to the throat initiated Toshusai's second defeat in a row.

Two more nights for each block before the finals. We know in Block A Whitlock, Yanagita, Snow, & Fujiro are all out but it's still close between all others, Razan holds a 2 point lead but he's Omezo & Kato coming so that lead could fall to one of them or Bulldozer or Konoe... Speaking of Bulldozer & Konoe they face next Night so who ever wins will certainly have the best chance of coming for Razan's spot at the top. Konoe has been on a slipperly spell after his Torri match and now got really worn down by Omezo, so he is going against Bulldozer with a big disadvantage. Fujiro getting a big win on Razan was a shock, he's gonna be challenging for the gold I presume after this. Block B Block B is closer with Gauge catching Toshuai's lead and now the two have two matches to try and maintain their leads. But Suzuki, Taku, & Makioka are all gunning for those spots too. Gauge has shown he isn't opposed to cheating so that could bring him to the top of the block but I'm hoping for Taku or Suzuki to take it from him with two wins in a row and Suzuki beating Gauge night one. Following the cheaters never win code. But Gauge winning going against Okamoto would make a lot of sense, he's made up tenfold for his loss to Torri and now has a chance for a bigger fish.</div></blockquote>

Konoe's flawed self-confidence have effected the performance of him since the first loss, so it wasn't a surprise that Smith behaved different. Smith nailed a Lariat and dropped Konoe with a Backdrop Driver for the three.

<div style="text-align:justify;">Okamoto can't rest. After losing to Fujio Narahashi in Fukuoka, today he's in the ring with Kenka member Omezo Shikitei. Omezo isn't a fool, he knows that Okamoto received a minor injury to his neck after Narahashi's devastating Lariat. Shikitei is targeting Razan's neck throughout the match to prepare his STF to be easier. And it worked! Okamoto fought like a wounded lion, but he was heavily effected by the pain in the neck and once the STF was connected he had to tap out.

Hitomaro Suzuki and Sotatsu Sarumara didn't give any presents to each other, furthermore they trading bombs like hell. Sarumara slapped Suzuki a few times, „Genius“ got upset and responded with brutal forearm shots to Sarumara's head. Towards the end Sarumara lost his energy more and more which smoothed the way for Suzuki. Hitomaro hits a Roaring Elbow, followed by a rare Moonsault for two. The Suzuki Lock brought the victory!

<div style="text-align:justify;">A hard hitting fight between Taku und Toshusai. The Shokka-gun leader teased young Yoshinaka Taku and did not respect him at all. Toshusai tried to test Taku's toughness and was surprised when Yoshinaka ate some of the most hard shots he's ever seen. Spurred by the Shizuoka crowd, Yoshinaka Taku needed two Full Nelson Bomb's to put Tadakuni away.

BLOCK A

Fujiro continued to get his lariato over after getting Razan to fall to the move. Kimitada has not had the performance I expected after that interview with him and Sarumara. But that's likely cause of his decline from TEW 2016 to TEW 2020, not to get too meta.

Kato went to his well too put Snow away with the Choke Sleeper as he used to do. I like his story in the tournament going from losing at first trying to get his new move to finally doing it and regaining confidence going into the end.

Smith vs Taheji was a throw up, both big men, I thought a draw was possible. But Smith got one over the once undefeated Taheji.

I did not expect Okamoto to lose to Omezo, but throwing in his loss and wear from his last match made it make sense. Now going into the last the champ has to overcome his body to win his block. But now the five-way tie leaves an opportunity for any of the five men to walk away with the win. It fits perfectly with the last night as Kato faces Okamoto and Smith faces Torri while Omezo gets to face Whitlock. I could see Omezo falling to Whitlock, and Kato going to a draw with Okamoto leading to Torri beating Smith. My prediction is for Torri to get the Block A win.

BLOCK B

Greg Gauge has the advantage going into the last night, if he wins he's won the whole damn thing. If he loses than Hitomaro & Tadkuni still have a chance. Though unfortunately for Taku his loss against Gauge earlier in the tournament I assume would mean a tie with him would mean Gauge advances. So Hitomaro & Tadakuni are the only ones with shots to defeat the dirty gaijin. I see Tadakuni losing to add to his frustrations with Sarumara, Hitomaro is going against Gauge so Suzuki needs to win. Overall you've done an awesome job of building both blocks differently and still leading to a sense of urgency in the end.

<div style="text-align:justify;">What a tournament it's been for big Brandon Smith. „The Bulldozer“ managed to beat the World champ and even beat the IC champ to jump the standings up the air. Smith and Torii slapped the living s*it out of each other and it seemed like Torii could do a comeback which got nipped in the bud. Smith took Torii's head off with a Lariat, „Machine Gun“ kicked out of the Tombstone but was finally put to sleep with the Backdrop Driver. Afterwards the two surprisingly shook hands.

Both men had different tournaments: Kato lost at the beginning and got back on the track after hitting the Inundation for the first time. Okamoto lost two in a row after getting a bit cocky. Just like their Anniversary match it was build around „who's more saikyou?“ The two hit each other with everything they've got in their repertoire, which wasn't enough for today. After hitting the 28 minute mark, which was their match time at Anniversary, „Killing Machine“ tried to get the Inundation done, but Okamoto whipped his way out of the grasp. Kato nailed a German and locked in the Choke Sleeper, no ropes near to reach and then the bell rung. Time Limit draw and history has been made. Brandon Smith advanced to the final, the first ever foreigner in the Saikyou-One final.

<div style="text-align:justify;">After losing many matches in a row, Tadakuni Toshusai has only one chance to be the first debutant to advance to the final match. His opponent is arch rival Sotatsu Sarumara, who attacked Toshusai before the bell and nearly got a submission victory after one minute into the match. Toshusai made a comeback by brawling Sarumara across the building, made him bleed at the guardrail and choked him with a tv wire. The hatred is huge between those two wrestler, carried by five thousand WCG fans Sarumara came back. "The Armlock Wizard" hits a high kick right to Tadakuni's face and applied his Mounted Arm Lock perfectly. Toshusai fought, tried to reach the ropes but ultimately he had to tap out to his nemesis.

<div style="text-align:justify;">With Toshusai losing to Saruma, it came down to Suzuki and Gauge. Suzuki had to win, while Gauge just needed a draw to advance to the final. Early in the match Suzuki nailed Gauge down to the mat with two Backdrop Suplex to get the crowd fired up. The Rogue Squad leader had his eyes on Suzuki's arm's and targeted them throughout the match. The american even got a chair handed by his ally Logan Diaz to pinch Suzuki's arm between chair and the ringpost. Suzuki's famous submission lock was heavily weakened, Gauge escaped pretty easily the first time. It was a change of events who got Suzuki back on the track. Diaz distracted the referee, Gauge then was hit by Suzuki with the chair instead which lead to Suzuki locking in his Suzuki Lock for the win.
