<div style="text-align:justify;"></span><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">The WCG Intercontinental champion is back on the track. "Machine Gun" smashed Konoe's face in with the forearm and has ended Konoe's unbeaten run in the perfect time. Torii had to make sure that Konoe was going down so he climed the turnbuckle and hits him with the Flying Forearm Smash to prepare his Spinning Forearm.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;">

<div style="text-align:justify;"></span><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">Fujio Narahashi may have beaten Kato before but without any luck in the tournament he simply couldn't beat the former World champion. Kato found his ability to finally lock in the Choke Sleeper properly and Fujio had no other choice but to tap. Kato is still in the mix to win the block, he'll face Bunrakuken Torii next.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;">

<div style="text-align:justify;"></span><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">Kuemon Hotta remained as the man who beat nearly every Block favourite. <div style="text-align:justify;"></span><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">Finally Hito Suzuki got some revenge over the polish warrior Pavel Vanzycha. It seemed like that Suzuki was too concern about losing to Vanzycha again after receiving a few losses against the pole at the beginning of the year. <div style="text-align:justify;"></span><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">The dream of being a S-1 Festival champion may be over for old Sotatsu Sarumara. The current NYCW Empire champion got beaten by Greg Gauge, when the Rogue Squad let him tap in his Proton Lock. Sarumara dominated most of the match, slapped Gauge nearly to unconsciousness for a great nearfall. Gauge changed his tactics towards the end, bend over the rulebook and got a little bit help by his Squad boy Logan Diaz, who distracted the ref while Gauge hits a nutkick.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;">

<div style="text-align:justify;"></span><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">You know that Fujio Narahashi's Lariat is strong, nevertheless there are people who underestimate him. WCG World champion Razan Okamoto was clearly above Narahashi, still "The Dreamcatcher" didn't pay that much attention and played around instead of beating him. It was a blink of cockiness of Okamoto which gave Narahashi the time for a rest. The former Tag champ came back with good ol' fighting spirit after two Lariats (one against Razan's neck) he beats Okamoto with an insane pop in front of his hometown crowd.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;">

<div style="text-align:justify;"></span><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">As weak Kato may have been at the beginning of the tournament, he's now a strong force in the block. "Machine Gun" got a great nearfall when he hits his "Machine Gun Chop" series followed by a Lariat for a 2.9! However it was Kato who got the upperhand when he hits a Running Knee Strike and Inundation. <div style="text-align:justify;"></span><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">That was a fight. A former INSPIRE fighter and a brawling veteran against each other. Suzuki tried to find his inner INSPIRE spirit when he had Tadakuni in an Armbar while Tadakuni's arm was between the guardrail. Without a strong arm Toshusai wasn't able to hit his Shock Treatment which was a big plus for "Genius" Hitomaro. Two more nights for each block before the finals. We know in Block A Whitlock, Yanagita, Snow, & Fujiro are all out but it's still close between all others, Razan holds a 2 point lead but he's Omezo & Kato coming so that lead could fall to one of them or Bulldozer or Konoe... Speaking of Bulldozer & Konoe they face next Night so who ever wins will certainly have the best chance of coming for Razan's spot at the top. Konoe has been on a slipperly spell after his Torri match and now got really worn down by Omezo, so he is going against Bulldozer with a big disadvantage. Fujiro getting a big win on Razan was a shock, he's gonna be challenging for the gold I presume after this.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-family:'Lucida Sans Unicode';"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Block B</span></span></strong></span></p><p> </p><p> Block B is closer with Gauge catching Toshuai's lead and now the two have two matches to try and maintain their leads. But Suzuki, Taku, & Makioka are all gunning for those spots too. Gauge has shown he isn't opposed to cheating so that could bring him to the top of the block but I'm hoping for Taku or Suzuki to take it from him with two wins in a row and Suzuki beating Gauge night one. Following the cheaters never win code. But Gauge winning going against Okamoto would make a lot of sense, he's made up tenfold for his loss to Torri and now has a chance for a bigger fish.</p></div></blockquote>

<div style="text-align:justify;">The battle of the big boys went just like everybody expected. Smith and Konoe hit each other with forearms, headbutts and even more to damage their respective opponent with power. Konoe's flawed self-confidence have effected the performance of him since the first loss, so it wasn't a surprise that Smith behaved different. Smith nailed a Lariat and dropped Konoe with a Backdrop Driver for the three.

<div style="text-align:justify;">Okamoto can't rest. After losing to Fujio Narahashi in Fukuoka, today he's in the ring with Kenka member Omezo Shikitei. Omezo isn't a fool, he knows that Okamoto received a minor injury to his neck after Narahashi's devastating Lariat. Shikitei is targeting Razan's neck throughout the match to prepare his STF to be easier. And it worked! Okamoto fought like a wounded lion, but he was heavily effected by the pain in the neck and once the STF was connected he had to tap out.

Hitomaro Suzuki and Sotatsu Sarumara didn't give any presents to each other, furthermore they trading bombs like hell. Sarumara slapped Suzuki a few times, „Genius“ got upset and responded with brutal forearm shots to Sarumara's head. Towards the end Sarumara lost his energy more and more which smoothed the way for Suzuki. Hitomaro hits a Roaring Elbow, followed by a rare Moonsault for two. The Suzuki Lock brought the victory!

<div style="text-align:justify;">A hard hitting fight between Taku und Toshusai. The Shokka-gun leader teased young Yoshinaka Taku and did not respect him at all. Toshusai tried to test Taku's toughness and was surprised when Yoshinaka ate some of the most hard shots he's ever seen. Spurred by the Shizuoka crowd, Yoshinaka Taku needed two Full Nelson Bomb's to put Tadakuni away.

BLOCK A

Fujiro continued to get his lariato over after getting Razan to fall to the move. Kimitada has not had the performance I expected after that interview with him and Sarumara. But that's likely cause of his decline from TEW 2016 to TEW 2020, not to get too meta.

Kato went to his well too put Snow away with the Choke Sleeper as he used to do. I like his story in the tournament going from losing at first trying to get his new move to finally doing it and regaining confidence going into the end.

Smith vs Taheji was a throw up, both big men, I thought a draw was possible. But Smith got one over the once undefeated Taheji.

I did not expect Okamoto to lose to Omezo, but throwing in his loss and wear from his last match made it make sense. Now going into the last the champ has to overcome his body to win his block. But now the five-way tie leaves an opportunity for any of the five men to walk away with the win. It fits perfectly with the last night as Kato faces Okamoto and Smith faces Torri while Omezo gets to face Whitlock. I could see Omezo falling to Whitlock, and Kato going to a draw with Okamoto leading to Torri beating Smith. My prediction is for Torri to get the Block A win.

BLOCK B

Greg Gauge has the advantage going into the last night, if he wins he's won the whole damn thing. If he loses than Hitomaro & Tadkuni still have a chance. Though unfortunately for Taku his loss against Gauge earlier in the tournament I assume would mean a tie with him would mean Gauge advances. So Hitomaro & Tadakuni are the only ones with shots to defeat the dirty gaijin. I see Tadakuni losing to add to his frustrations with Sarumara, Hitomaro is going against Gauge so Suzuki needs to win. Overall you've done an awesome job of building both blocks differently and still leading to a sense of urgency in the end.

<div style="text-align:justify;"></span><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">What a tournament it's been for big Brandon Smith. „The Bulldozer“ managed to beat the World champ and even beat the IC champ to jump the standings up the air. Smith and Torii slapped the living s*it out of each other and it seemed like Torii could do a comeback which got nipped in the bud. Smith took Torii's head off with a Lariat, „Machine Gun“ kicked out of the Tombstone but was finally put to sleep with the Backdrop Driver. <div style="text-align:justify;"></span><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">Smith did his homework, what about Kato and Okamoto? Both men had different tournaments: Kato lost at the beginning and got back on the track after hitting the Inundation for the first time. Okamoto lost two in a row after getting a bit cocky. Just like their Anniversary match it was build around „who's more saikyou?“ The two hit each other with everything they've got in their repertoire, which wasn't enough for today. After hitting the 28 minute mark, which was their match time at Anniversary, „Killing Machine“ tried to get the Inundation done, but Okamoto whipped his way out of the grasp. Kato nailed a German and locked in the Choke Sleeper, no ropes near to reach and then the bell rung. Time Limit draw and history has been made. WOW, Hitomaro Suzuki vs. Brandon Smith. I didn't expect them being the final two at all. I have no idea how this will spin out, Suzuki has won a cup before, can he do it again against a behemoth like Smith who won the Block with Torri and Okamoto in it?

<div style="text-align:justify;"></span><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">Suzuki's tactic was simple but effective: Just put Smith to the ground and don't let him get up again. The former WCG Intercontinental Champion showed that he's capable of doing good grapple wrestling, however Smith's raw power came into play further down the match. "The Bulldozer" hits a big Powerbomb on the apron to hurt Suzuki pretty badly, the fans in Tochigi were shocked. Smith took over, hitting a Powerslam for two and a big splash also for two. The crowd were fully behind "Genius" Hito Suzuki which absorbed the energy from the crowd to get a second life in this match. The Dragon Suplex only got a two count, a Roaring Elbow was the setup to his Suzuki Lock which got him the victory after Smith had no chance but to tap.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:10px;">

After the match Brandon Smith stretched out his hand and shook hands with Hitomaro Suzuki. The big Bulldozer even hugged him and said "Suzuki ichiban", which let the crowd gasp in their seats. Suzuki bowed to Smith and celebrated his second tournament victory in a row, after winning the White Canvas Trophy in Fall 2017.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;">

8. Tanyu Toshusai free.png & Nigel Svensson def. Kiyotaka & Motoyuki Miyake (14m35s) when Svensson used a Hyper Extension Arm Lock on Kiyotaka [55]

- There were some serious tensions between WCG born & breed Motoyuki Miyake and the well travelled Tanyu Toshusai, who clearly sees RISE as an opportunity to get a spot in WCG. Also Svensson wasn't pretty keen on Miyake since RISE started, so the match was pretty hot. Svensson got the win over Kiyotaka here, Miyake and the Swede had a long stare down afterwards.

- Kado Kamisaka lost to Motoyuki Miyake at RISE.2, today he continued to lose to veteran Hirokichi Yoemon. "Strong Style" nailed brutal suplexes, fierced kicks any devastating holds to weaken Kamisaka throughout the fight. After the fight Kamisaka and Yoemon shook hands, the veteran announced that he's going to team with "Serene K" tomorrow.

- On the quiet Ernest Youngman joined Rogue Squad during the S-1 Festival, which seemed like the perfect match in White Canvas Grappling for him. Today him and Diaz teamed together to fight The Diamond Dogs, they used a decend amount of dirty tricks to get the win via Hit by Youngman on Jimmy Stratosphere.

- What a surprising debut here on RISE. Warrior Engine's finest team, the Brothers In Vengeance, made their debut and beat Lion Genji and Tiger Fuyuki after six minutes. Morisue and Sakata looked like they're coming straight from hell.

- Utamuro Nishimuraya thought it would be a good experience to wrestle at the dark discotheque in the heart of Shinjuku, but it was not. Nishimuraya not only lost to Joffy Laine, the arrogant american attacked Utamaro afterwards with his umbrella and called himself "The Bounder". Nishimuraya was saved by Billy Robinson, thank god!

8. Motoyuki Miyake def. Logan Diaz (13m53s) with a PK [56]

- Miyake and Svensson are rivals and it should lead to a future fight. Backstage Svensson bragged that his match was shorter than Miyake's match and so he should be named as the best wrestler at RISE. Miyake stated after this match that the talent in RISE is so deep and diverse, it adds a whole new level of excitement to WCG.

- Kado Kamisaka got the win over Lion Genji in today's "GCG & Vet vs. GCG & Vet" fight with a Triangle Choke. "Serene K" said backstage that he's open to fight even more at White Canvas Grappling to show the "golden way".

- After defeating Junior Heavyweight Black Flash, "The Bounder" Joffy Laine announced his intensions to participate at the Grand J-Challenge to crown himself as the best Junior Heavyweight of the world.

One thing I truly love about round-robin tournaments ios that it sets up so many matches for months in advance. It's like the season of a real sport for around a month that sets up stories and arcs for the next year. Suzuki was not who I expected to actually win the Festival, not at all. But his win here truly cements him as a top top guy with it being his second tournament win. Whatever anyone wants to say two tournament wins in a row is no easy feat so Suzuki is to really be commended on his ability and his accolades after this. Now the only one missing is the one held by Razan Okamoto who will likely have more on his plate than just Suzuki after his losses in the Festival.

Pro Wrestling Love is upon us! Six shows, two of them will be televised, are going to make the WCG fans even hotter for the big final at the Sumo Hall in Chiyoda, Tokyo. The main event is going to be the WCG World Heavyweight titlematch between champion "Dreamcatcher" Razan Okamoto and S-1 Festival winner "Genius" Hitomaro Suzuki. Furthermore WCG Intercontinental champion "Machine Gun" Bunrakuken Torii has to defend his championship against recently returned Kenka member Fuyuhiko Wakabayashi.

WCG president Junnosoku Fukazawa told the following to the press: „It's going to be one of the biggest shows of our history. It's the first time we are able to go to Chiyoda and it's the first time we have a big titlematch during Golden Week. I think we're going to spread the word of Pro Wrestling Love to each and everyone tuning in. Also i can announce that we're going to announce the sixteen participants for the upcoming Grand J-Challenge, which will culminate at Strong Energy in Fukuoka.“

Fukazawa smirked while announcing the next topic of the day: „We're happy to announce our newest service to our fans in Japan and, to a later date, to fans outside of Japan. White Canvas Global is one of the first streaming services of Japan where you can watch all WCG shows and many more. Pro Wrestling Love In Chiyoda is going to be the first live show airing on White Canvas Global.“

Motoyuki Miyake and Nigel Svensson joined WCG president Fukazawa for the next announcement. „With the success of RISE featuring outside talent, junior and heavyweights facing each other at RISE, we're happy to announce that White Canvas created the RISE Openweight championship to showcase even more talent. Sixteen man will fight to become the inaugral titleholder over the next months. The tournament final to crown the first RISE Openweight champion will be held at Anniversary on January 7 2019.“, told Fukazawa to the journalists. The participants will be revealed later.

- It was a relief when Head Referee Doppo Ibu called for the bell while Zeshin Makioka went unconscious trough the pain. "The Armlock Wizard" lived up to his name again to get the V1 in his books. It was the typical brawl when you're in a match with Makioka, a man who likes to have a brawl outside of the ring, throwing you into the guardrail and choking you through the fence there. However Sarumara made the crowd happy with defending the New York City Wrestling Empire Championship in front of them.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana;">

- Also V1 in the books for the Rogue Squad junior team of Remus and Mäkinen. The evildoers were surprised by the lightning fast offense from the Dogs, which saw Remus and Mäkinen changing their tactics to throttle the pace and interference heavy style. Remus prevented Kuroda from getting into the ring while the Swede applied his Grapevine for the win.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana;">

- Just days before facing in a big singles match, Hitomaro Suzuki and Razan Okamoto faced in a special tag match. The WCG fans were eager to see the two square off, however that wasn't the case. When Suzuki was the legal man, Okamoto was outside and vice versa. "Genius" had Nakao in the Suzukic Lock where he had to tap. </span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana;">

- Just a couple of days before Sumo-Hall Billy Robinson pinned Japanese Phoenix in the middle of the ring! Is the former WCG Tag Team titleholder the man who can beat the masked Junior champion?

Notes

- Stone Yoshikawa is out of action for two months because of a Hernia injury

In the crunch-time Suzuki hit a High Knee, Okamoto wobbled but after Suzuki ran to the ropes again "The Dreamcatcher" was there to nail Suzuki with his Senzai Knee Strike to get the upperhand. A second Knee Strike was the preperation for the Brainbuster Suplex, who finally was the way to the three count. With tears in his eyes Suzuki congratulated Okamoto to his title defense, Razan accepted the gesture and responded with a offer to shake hands which was accepted by Hito Suzuki. The night in Chiyoda ended with Yellow & Red confetti!</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;">

8. RISE Openweight Title Tournament - Round 1: Motoyuki Miyake def. Billy Robinson (18m10s) with a PK [55]

- "Man Robinson was tough.", that was Miyake's first thought after winning the main event today. When finally the Penalty Kick connected, xDREAM member Motoyuki Miyake was relieved. Billy Robinson did not want to go down after a series of brutal kicks to the head. Just one match before Kimitada Yanagita had his hands full with Warrior Engine veteran Battle Sakata. "The Dog Of War" put Sakata down with forearm strikes followed by a Lariat and his Yanagita Crush. Miyake and Yanagita are going to fight in the second round of the tournament in July at RISE.7, which will be a rematch. Yanagita has beaten Miyake a year ago.

- Kado Kamisaka did a great job against vet Tiger Fuyuki but definetly lacked the experience to overcome a Tiger. Fuyuki let him tap out to his Flying Tiger Arm Bar to secure a spot in the second round. His opponent will be Freelancer Tanyu Toshusai who surprisingly beats Mamoru Nagajam after fifteen minutes. Both men hit hard, but it was Toshusai who had the upperhand with an O'Connor Roll out of nowhere!

6. Hito Suzuki Anniversary Match: Kimitada Yanagita, Sotatsu Sarumara, Kazuchika Nagai http://shuyaku.de/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/WLW.png & Hitomaro Suzuki def. Hajime Sugisata free.png, Haruhiro Tsumemasa free.png, Roku Sotomura & Tasuku Iesada free.png (15m56s) when Suzuki used a Suzuki Lock on Tsumemasa [60]

- It was a nice surprise when WLW's and former WCG man Kazuchika "Tornado" Nagai came down to the ring to be one of Suzuki's partner in the main event. It was a pure INSPIRE affaire including the opposite team, which had veterans like Hajime Sugisata or Tasuku Iesada on their side. A highlight reel for Suzuki's fans in Bunkyō Hall! Suzuki himself got the win with an submission victory over former WCG wrestler Haruhiro Tsumemasa. Much more interesting was the fact that 44 year old, former Burning Champion, Tasuku Iesada and Hito Suzuki argued a bit louder after the match.

- Since the closing of INSPIRE shoot-style matches are not common anymore in Japan, however Suzuki's wish was granted when two INSPIRE Rules matches made their way on today's matchcard. Morimasa Kato, also a former INSPIRE man, choked Pavel Vanzycha out cold. Just two matches before Motoyuki Miyake did the same with old Hirokichi Yoemon with his new move, the Doujime Sleeper. Although Miyake, Robinson, Svensson and even Vanzycha never stept foot in an INSPIRE ring, it was pretty clear they would have a serious chance of competing there.
