I couldn't believe it. The hardcore icon, the legend, the pioneer, this monster of a man that I had known for over a decade, had been slowly reduced into a shell of himself. Who would've known that the great Ryu Kajahara, victorious in so many brutal wars throughout his career, would slowly lose the battle to a longtime illness. An illness he couldn't hit with a steel chair or set on fire, or powerbomb through a table. With all his strength, he was powerless. And yet, even during his last days, he wouldn't dare to show how weak he truly was. His pride wouldn't let him.

Senmatsu, Morisue, Sakata, Konoe and I had been taking shifts visiting him in the hospital. With no relatives or family, we felt that it was our responsibility to stay with him till the end. We were his family.

The days grew longer still. It was only a matter of time. The daylight slowly dimmed into nothingness..

".. Zeshin.."

I jumped up from my seat and came closer.

"Please.. Take care of th- .. Boys.. WEXXV.. I believe in.. I've always believed in you.."

, he struggled. I was speechless, concentrating on every single word he managed to say with the little strenght he had left in him.

He raised his hand up slightly, and I held on to it with both hands.

".. Promise me.. You'll lead them to.. Greatness."

"I promise.. .. B-b-.. But how?"

, I managed to say.

"The ... of the.. Warrior.. As it's .... been.."

, he mumbled. I could barely hear the words.

His grip tightened.

".. WITH FIRE.. AND BLOOD."

.. And then came the loudest silence I had ever heard..

Because there's only five people in WEXXV that can be owners in the in-game data, those five being Gareth Wayne, Kuniyoshi Kawamura, Motoichi Arakida, Robun Yamazaki and Zeshin Makioka. Motoichi, the road agent, has better business reputation but having Zeshin being the owner & head booker of the promotion provides a lot more story possibilities.

Thanks for the comments! However I must say that I have a terrible reputation of starting & stopping my diaries so don't hold your breath. Here's hoping this will actually stay alive!

I know next-to-nothing about booking Hardcore promotions, and even less about Japan in C-verse, so looking forward to learning about both through this diary!

Thanks! I thought about doing a more in-depth roster info but I realized that it's actually better to do it kayfabe-wise through the actual show bookings. I plan on introducing few wrestlers at a time so you'll get a feel for them in a slower pace so that people won't be burned out by all the information.
