Mighty Wrestling Hour #12

Tuesday, Week 4, December 2016

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 1300

The show opens with the announcers welcoming us to the last Mighty Wrestling Hour of 2016. Dougie Horwood is nowhere to be seen and instead Smith is sat alongside Trandifir Andrei Ionut, a legend of the biggest wrestling promotion in the world - The National Wrestling Federation!

Smith: "Welcome fans and it's my great honour to be sat alongside a NWF Hall of Famer; Two-time World Champion and Eight-time World Tag Team Champion - Trandifir Andrei Ionut!"

Ionut: "Thank you Steve! Now, I know what you are going to ask; why is a bonafide legend like Ionut here in... what is this promotion called again?"

Smith: "Mighty Wrestling Group."

Ionut: "Yes of course. I am here because someone very well known in the wrestling business has invested money in this group and he wants me to keep an eye on things. He also wants me to keep an eye on a certain someone...."

Smith: "Very intriguing. Well, let's get to the action"

This is a massacre. Boulder shows courage to stand toe to toe with the monstrous Barenhaft but is soon overwhelmed. After taking a five minute beating all over the ringside area Boulder tries to make a comeback but is leveled by the Bear Charge and Barenhaft picks up an easy win.

Double K, Karl Kozlowski, comes to the ring with Phillip Roberts alongside him. Karl waves a piece of paper and addresses the audience who are not pleased to see him.

"I have in my possession, final and irreversible proof of the specific payment due to the new MWG Triple Crown Champion. I can tell you that the amount is considerable and the Kozlowski Coalition will be allocating all available resources in order to obtain this income. I know some of you are very sensitive and I apologise in advance for the extreme measures that may be necessary in the Triple Crown title match." Double K pauses to put the paper back in the pocket of his suit jacket, he ignores the jeers of the crowd as he continues. "Logic and history dictates that I will win at Fatal Fury. Firstly the match is a triple threat match, hence there will be no disqualifications, therefore Hossam's chain wrestling will be rendered useless. This match will be extremely violent. Once I have rendered Hossam insensible I will cave in Champagne Lover's so called pretty face. I will be taking home the champions purse and if I have to - permanently - eliminate the competition to do so then so be it."

Smith and Ionut explain that this match between the last FEW and MWG tag champions is for a place in the unification triple threat match at Fatal Fury.

Sovereign Nation dominate their smaller opponents at the start but soon find themselves unable to keep up with the luchadors. The tide is turned when Adonis distracts the referee and Gamberro hits Xtinction with a beer bottle. With Xtinction out for the count, Asesino is double teamed by the immoral Englishmen. After a suitably stiff beating Gamberro hits Asesino with the Swing Low Sweet Lariat and covers him for the win. Sovereign Nation are in the triple threat tag title unification match!

Vitality make their way to the ring to talk about their recent issues. Arias takes the mic first:

"As you know we've been having some issues as a team recently. We've had time to talk things through and have decided that whether happens, holding these (he holds up his tag team title belt) means everything to us. Koller and I agreed to respect Vita's privacy and Vita promised that she would ensure that Vitality is not affected by her relationship." The fans clap and Koller and Vita seem satisfied.

"But.." continues Arias. "Then I discovered who your mystery lover is..." Arias looks furious now and Vita's face distorts in fear as she starts to beg Arias not to reveal her secret.

"Antonio, come on. Let's talk about this in the back. Don't talk about this here."

"Don't tell me what to do or say!" Rages Arias "I.." Arias is cut off by Seb Koller who steps in between him and Vita.

"Enough Antonio" Says Koller.

"No." The Spaniard replies. "I know why you want to protect this secret. You are her lover!"

The crowd erupts at this revelation and then gasps as Koller takes Arias down and starts pummeling him on the ground. Koller picks the mic back up.

"You lying son of a bitch! I am a happily married man. You can't throw accusations like that around!"

"I know it's you." Says Arias wiping blood from his mouth. They start to brawl again until Vita stops them.

"No, Antonio. It's not Seb." Says Vita as she pleads with her charges to calm down.

"Then who?" Roars Arias but Koller hasn't finished and he lays Arias out with a superkick before walking out on both Arias and Vita.

Vita tends to Arias as Karl Kozlowski's music hits. It's time for the main event.

The bell rings with Arias still lying on the canvas, he vehmently gestures for Vita to leave which she reluctantly does. Kozlowski wastes no time in sticking the boots to his opponent. Arias tries valiantly to defend himself but he is still feeling the effects of the superkick from Koller.

Kozlowski continues the beating as the match continues. He seems to have Arias up for the Stock Market Crash a few times but the hometown hero always manages to slip out of the hold. Arias makes a few short lived comebacks but Double K uses his strength and aggression to continue his domination. Arias does not give up however and after fifteen minutes it is clear that Kozlowski is tiring. Arias's comebacks get longer and longer until he finally has control of the match.

With Double K on his last legs Arias looks for a way to hit the Pamplona Press and secure a famous victory. Arias knocks Kozlowski down with a cross body and races towards the turnbuckle sensing his chance. Phillip Roberts jumps onto the apron, urging the referee to intervene. The confused official tells Roberts to get down but the distraction buys Kozlowski enough time to recover and he grabs holds of Arias who is still perched on the top rope. Arias kicks the big man away but into the path of the referee. With the official down Roberts takes the opportunity to smash Arias over the head with a chair but Seb Koller appears from nowhere to take it away! Koller enters the ring with both Kozlowski and Arias on their knees. Koller takes the chair in hand and looks as if he is trying to decide who to hit with it. After a brief pause he nails Kozlowski in the back with the chair and leaves the ring to watch as Arias hits a picture perfect Pamplona Press. Koller revives the referee who counts 1...2....3! The crowd and the announcers go crazy, the hometown hero just pinned the world champion!! Koller and Arias embrace but Vita is nowhere to be seen as the show goes off the air.

I'm really pleased that I managed to book a whole year. It's been tricky because we had a baby in September so time has been short. I have loads of ideas for 2017 and hopefully I can make some good progress in this story before the new game comes out.

As mentioned in the first post this is a C-Verse 1997 game and the game world is quite different to the default start. I'm going to post some infomation about this save to give some more context to the storylines I am booking before I write Fatal Fury.

2016 Round Up - Top Ten Promotions

aYu171N.png

The National Wrestling Federation started in 1997 and rose from local to complete dominance. It was founded by K'Lee Hawkins and was booked by El Gamerro's dad, Arutha Hawke until 2003. Since 2003 Tommy Cornell has been the booker.

Their dominance is underlined by the fact that their child companies, Royal Canadian Wrestling (RCW) and Three Lions Wrestling (3LW), are in 3rd and 4th place.

Valiant is the current champion having beaten Tom Angelus in June 2016. Recent champions include Luis Figo Manico and Jay Heartbreak. NWF are renowned for their match quality; when Arutha Hawke beat Joey Poison in June it was their 40th 100 rated match in their 20 year existence.

BHOWG were led to their 2016 success by Li Bingci who featured in their six best matches of the year. Despite his excellent in ring work Bingci hasn't held a title since 2015. The current World Champion is Suezo Hojo who has held the title for 15 months after defeating Kozue Kawashima.

HGC are still HGC. Cornell is booking NWF and so John McClean is in charge in California. Bryan Vessey, Sean McFly, Jack Bruce and Cowboy Ricky Dale are the big stars with Cowboy holding the World Title currently.

SWF fell off a cliff at the start of the game and never really recovered. Erik Eisen is the champion and leads a mediocre roster with Chance Fortune, Mark DuBois and Rocky Hotbody being their big stars.

2016 Round Up - Power 100

eTQf5RL.png

El Gamberro's dad is number one in the world for the third time. Hawke had an incredible year even by his high standards. He teamed with Marat Khoklov (Who was number two) for most of the year capturing the NWF tag belts for the sixth time. Hawke had one 100 rated match and eight 99 rated matches in 2016.

Mayan Idol has been in the top four for three years in a row now. He has led MPWF to dominance in Mexico and sent SOTBW out of business

Wael Hossam was MWG's top performer in 123rd. Champagne Lover was 329th.

Mighty Wrestling Group - Fatal Fury

Saturday, Week 4, December 2016

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 2000

Announcers: Steve Smith and Trandifir Andrei Ionut

6RNxpz6.jpgDxYuFxA.jpg

2X2eyaM.png

The show opens with El Mitico making an elaborate entrance. He poses in his gold embroidered robe as Smith and Ionut explain the stipulations for the opening match.

Smith: "Welcome to MWG Fatal Fury! We are kicking off with an extremely high stakes match.

"Ionut: "No doubt! Whoever gets pinned or submitted tonight is gone! Fired!"

Asesino and Xtincion come to the ring together and work as a team to try and eliminate Mitico. Mitico's arrogance makes him unpopular with the fans but he is one hell of a wrestler, he holds his own against two men for about ten minutes but eventually the numbers game catches up with him. Asesino and Xtincion seem to have won the match after both hitting shooting star presses on El Mitico. Asesino covers Mitico but from nowhere Owusu and Grave Digger attack!

The match is no DQ so all the referee can do is watch as the Coalition teammates destroy Asesino and Xtinction with powerbombs and lariats. With all three men down Owusu puts Mitico on top of Asesino but he kicks out! Owusu and Digger look to continue the beating but Xtinction fires up and makes a furious comeback. Asesino joins him and they force the Coalition team out of the ring before Asesino wipes them out with a Tope con Hilo!

Xtinction is attacked from behind by El Mitico and the two Mexicans go to war for a furious two minutes. Both men are staggered as Matthew Macks comes to ringside. He assesses the situation before climbing the ring post and flinging himself off in an attempt to hit Mitico with a cross body. Mitico dives to the floor and Macks goes flying into Xtinction sending him crashing to the mat. Macks rolls out of the ring clutching his ribs. This is the opening El Mitico needs; he lifts Xtinction into the air and hits the Northern Lights Suplex before covering for the 1...2..Macks is rolling in to break up the count...3!

"Macks just got Xtinction fired!" Booms Ionut on commentary.

In the ring Macks is upset and he tries to apologise to Xtinction. Asesino pushes him away but he follows, still trying to apologise, as Asesino and the soon to be unemployed Xtinction leave. El Mitico celebrates his victory in the ring where he is joined by Owusu, Digger and - making a grand entrance - Karl Kozlowski.

Kozlowski takes the mic and begins to speak.

"What you have just seen is the latest induction into our Coalition. Kalu, Digger...it would have been nice for you to get the job done but instead you had to rely on the idiocy of Matthew Macks, get out of my sight." Kalu Owusu squares up to Kozlowski briefly but calms down and leaves. Double K continues. "El Mitico is the newest partner in the Coalition. His family own oil wells in Mexico and he has made the wise decision to make a substantial investment in the Coalition. He will retain a share of our operating profits..." the crowd are shouting down this board meeting mascerading as a promo and Karl switched gears. "No more business talk? Ok, for once I'll do it your way. But... you're not going to like what I say." Kozlowski looks into the camera. "Antonio Arias!" The crowd pops at the mention of the hometown hero. "You are a cheat. Your tag team partner nailed me with a chair and you pinned me as a direct result." Chants of 'you deserved it' from the crowd. "Koller you will get what's coming to you but Antonio...Antonio, you sweet little hometown boy. I am going to put you out of action. I am going to cripple you. And when you're laid up in your mother's hovel in whichever part of this rat infested sinkhole of a town you call home, too weak to defend her...i'm going to come to call. I'm going to buy the street, i'm going to bulldoze everything you hold dear and build a big, stinking factory over the top. But don't worry..it's just business."

The three teams make their entrances and stand nose to nose in the ring. Barenhaft is roaring and foaming at the mouth ready to start the match and Seb Koller is brave enough to stand opposite him as the bell rings. Koller uses his superior technique to gain the advantage but Barenhaft overpowers him and Koller tags in Arias. Arias gains the advantage by using aerial attacks but again Barenhaft adjusts and uses his power to start to dominate the Pamplonan. El Gamberro blind tags in and he and Adonis make quick tags and use every trick they have to take the big man down but to no avail. Adonis rips a bit of Barenhaft's mask during a vicious eye poke while Gamberro had the referee distracted but Barenhaft just stares straight at Adonis who hurriedly tags in Koller. This continues for the first ten minutes of the match, no one is able to take the big man down.

Eventually it happens, Barenhaft seems to be tiring and Antonio Arias takes him to his knees with an enziguri. The crowd roar their approval as the hometown hero sends Barenhaft crashing to the canvas with a missile dropkick from the top rope. Arias covers but Barenhaft kicks out. Now Barenhaft crawls to his corner looking to make a tag. Arias and Koller make quick tags and work Barenhaft over to try and stop him tagging in Voodude but he is too strong, he reaches out for the tag and Voodude enters the match fresh as a daisy.

Voodude runs wild on Arias for a minute or so until Pamplona's own counters a power bomb with a victory roll 1...2...3! It's over! From nowhere Vitality unify the titles and Barenhaft's solo rampage is for nothing.

Vita gets in the ring to celebrate with her team but Arias makes a point of sending her to the back. Koller protests but Arias ignores him and takes a mic.

"Look what a boy from Pamplona can do... with some help of course." He shakes Koller's hand before continuing. "This is great but I want more. Karl Kozlowski! On Wednesday I beat you. You can make all the excuses you like but I pinned your shoulders to the mat and defeated you. It should be me in the main event tonight but... I'm a patient man. Whoever wins that title tonight you need to know.. I'm coming for you."

The announcers explain the significance of this match; it's a number one contendership match but the losing team must also leave the building. Ionut explains that a Red Devils win would leave Karl Kozlowski without his back up in the main event.

This is an ugly match that quickly spills out to the ringside area. Yuri Illakov is the smallest man in the ring and Owusu and Digger target him at first but he fights them off. After ten minutes of wild brawling Illakov is powerbombed into the ringpost from the outside. Beskov bravely fights 2 on 1 and takes Digger out of the equation by evading a head down charge by leaping over him and hitting a double stomp which drives the huge Englishman into the ring steps.

This leaves Owusu and Beskov to fight one on one and Owusu looked to have the match won after Phillip Roberts distracted Beskov and Owusu nailed him in the back of the head with his signature lariat. Beskov kicked out at 2.99 and countered a second lariat from behind by catching Owusu's arm and twisting him round into the Red Devil Lock! Owusu screams for Roberts or Digger to help but Illakov recovers and power slams Roberts onto the concrete outside the ring. Digger groggily stumbles into the ring to help his partner but Illakov is there with a lariat to send them both crashing over the top rope to the floor. With all hope of assistance gone Owusu taps!

Security guards in black t-shirts swarm the ringside area to assist Illakov and Beskov in escorting Owusu and Digger out of the arena. We see them taken through the backstage area and roughly thrown out of the door. Beskov and Illakov stand guard to stop any sheninghans in the main event.

Hossam makes his way to the ring with a huge grin on his face. He looks straight into a camera at ringside. "I love a fair fight." he says.

We see a video package featuring the stars of the main event.

The video focuses on the big events of 2016; Karl Kozlowski being attacked on his debut by Hossam, Karl buying the Coalition (and the Heavyweight Title) from his brother; Champagne Lover's shock debut; Kozlowski defeating Hossam in the Mighty Cup Final. The final shot of the video is slow motion footage of Kozlowski tossing Lover out of the ring onto the concrete with a Stock Market Crash.

The three challengers make their entrances, introductions are made and we are ready to crown the first ever Mighty Wrestling Group Triple Crown Champion.

The match starts at a quick pace; Hossam and Champagne Lover seem to be trying to tire Kozlowski out early. The tactic doesn't work and the Heavyweight Champion sends Hossam out of the ring and works Lover over for several minutes with punches and kicks. Hossam recovers and ties Double K up with various holds but Lover is always there to stop Kozlowski submitting.

Hossam and Lover team up to take out Kozlowski. Hossam controls Karl with a wristlock as Lover peppers him with kick after kick. Phillip Roberts at ringside protests to the referee but nothing illegal is happening. Eventually Hossam sends Karl out of the ring with a drop kick and Lover hits a plancha to keep him down. Hossam and Lover now stand in the ring face to face before launching into a furious flurry of kicks and punches. Lover is quicker and gains the advantage, he goes for the Lover Stunner but Hossam counters and takes him down with a headlock. Hossam tries to transition into an arm bar but Kozlowski breaks the hold with an elbow drop. We're fifteen minutes in and this is anyone's bout!

Hossam gets tired of Roberts yapping at ringside and he lays him out with a lariat. Kozlowski is leaning on the ropes furiously shouting at Hossam when Lover rolls him up from behind! 1...2...Hossam gets in to break the count.

Twenty minutes in now and Kozlowski is looking worn out. Hossam and Lover brawl as Kozlowski lies slumped in the corner of the ring. Hossam finally manuvers Lover into the Camel Clutch but Kozlowski is there to break it up. Hossam punches Kozlowski and looks to put the hold on Lover again but he counters..Lover Stunner! He covers 1...2...Kozlowski is there to break it up. 25 minutes have elapsed, everyone is down and the crowd are going crazy.

El Mitico comes running down the ramp to help his new stablemate. Lover sees him and furiously beats him until he slumps into the same corner as Kozlowski. Lover hits a cannonball into both Coalition members. Roberts stumbles into the ring and is also bundled into the corner before Lover hits a second cannonball. This one hurt Lover and he holds his lower back just as Hossam grabs him and puts him in the Camel Clutch! Lover is in the middle of the ring with nowhere to go. The Coalition can't help. Lover crawls towards the rope but Hossam is too strong and Champagne Lover has to tap out! Hossam releases the hold immediately and drops to his knees flinging his hands in the air in triumph.

"Wael Hossam has made history! He is the first ever Triple Crown Champion!" screams Steve Smith. Hossam is handed all three belts and celebrates as we go off the air.

Your Winner and first ever Triple Crown Champion: Wael Hossam

Mighty Wrestling Hour #15

Tuesday Week 3, January 2017

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 1400

Overall show rating - 67

Hossam v Kozlowski promo video - 48

A hype video is shown for the upcoming Hossam v Kozlowski match

Asesino Del Hacha defeated Samoan Machine - 33

Samoan Machine is slow, rusty and not over and this match really suffered as a result. Del Hacha ran rings around Machine and won with a Hangman's Neckbreaker

Gamberro is angry that Sovereign Nation don't have a match at Vertigo but promises to make an impact - 51

El Gamberro defeated Lion Genji - 44

Not a bad match between these midcarders. Genji is part of Nanny's Kin but he's charismatic and still got cheered. Gamberro outwrestled the Japanese fighter and won with his Swing Low Sweet Lariat (Springboard Lariat)

Hossam promo: The Red Devils have proven that they can stop the coalition interfering and he knows they will do the same at Vertigo - 88

Wael Hossam defeated Pierre DuPont - 73

The Foreign Legion are starting to get some traction in MWG and Pierre seemed very excited about a match with the Triple Crown champion. Pierre gave it everything but Wael's chain wrestling and submissions were overwhelming and after 15 minutes of great action he tapped out to the Camel Clutch

Hossam is unbelievable, I'm shocked that none of the major companies have signed him yet.

Mighty Wrestling Hour #16

Tuesday Week 4, January 2017

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 1500

Overall show rating - 64

DuPonts interupt Hossam to accuse him of cheating and Jacques makes a challenge for tonight. Hossam accepts - 52

El Gamberro defeated Katoh Freak - 37

This match was a disaster. Freak was blown up after five minutes and his in ring work was so bad that the crowd was cheering the uber heelish Gamberro over him. There was relief all round when Gamberro pinned Freak after a Swing Low Sweet Lariat

El Gamberro tells us not to miss Vertigo, it'll be a night that Arias won't soon forget - 48

Pierre DuPont defeated Beau Boulder - 43

At 29 Pierre is a veteran compared to the teenage Boulder and it showed in this match. Pierre used all kinds of dirty tactics and won with a low blow followed by a roll up after a referee distraction

Wael Hossam defeated Jacques DuPont - 70

Another great match from the MWG MVP. Jacques tried to learn from his brother's mistakes from last week; he attempted to brawl rather than wrestle Hossam. Unfortunately he doesn't have much of a striking game and Hossam picked him apart before submitting him with the Camel Clutch

Hossam finally got to do his promo and he makes a passionate post match speech promising to keep the Triple Crown out of the Coalition's hands - 80

Another great show thanks to Wael

From nowhere Vita throws herself in front of El Gamberro preventing Arias from using the bottle! The crowd boos and Arias is furious. Lover also needs to bounce back after being pinned by Hossam in the first ever Triple Crown title match. </p><p> </p><p> Lover knows the challenge that faces him tonight. He needs to avoid Barenhaft's heavy offense and keep out of the way of Voodude. Both of these men are excellent wrestlers and this is a fascinating contest. Lover provides most of the offense at first via kicks to the legs and back. Barenhaft tries to overpower Lover but the Mexican slips away and lands a stunning drop kick to his huge opponents head. </p><p> </p><p> Just like the tag match at Fatal Fury, Barenhaft is very difficult to knock down. Drop kicks, chop blocks and flying forearms are all shrugged off by the bulky bear-like wrestler. Lover goes for a sling blade but Barenhaft throws him off. Lover is not just a high flier, he is also an accomplished grappler and he starts to have success by working over Barenhaft's right arm. A series of arm wrenches leaves the big man clutching his arm in pain and Lover finally takes him down with a drop kick to the knees. Barenhaft gets back on his feet with a furious expression on his face, he knows he's in a real fight now. The German comes out swinging and Lover is now forced to use his agility in defence, he is doing a great job of being elusive but fatigue starts to set in and Barenhaft catches him with an uppercut and a lariat. As Lover rises to his feet Barenhaft leaps and puts all of his power into a devastating shotgun dropkick! Lover flies into the corner and collapses in a heap.</p><p> "Unbelievable agility from the big man!" Shouts Ionut as Barenhaft picks Lover up and sends him across the ring with an Irish Whip. Barenhaft runs the ropes and crashes into Lover with the Bear Charge! The cover is a formality, the referee counts 3 and Barenhaft is victorious. </p><p> "What a display of resilience, power and agility." He has to rely on his skill now.</p><p> </p><p> Kozlowski looks to gain the advantage by distracting the referee and involving Roberts but the ref is wise to this. Roberts reminds Karl that Hossam has champions advantage and backs off. The ironic thing is that Kozlowski doesn't need to cheat, he is quick enough and strong enough to overcome Hossam's grappling. Hossam is unable to wrestle the challenger to the mat and instead resorts to suplexes and working over Double K's arms.</p><p> </p><p> The bout is close. Everytime Hossam slaps on a submission from his vast arsenal Kozlowski uses his power to escape or get to the ropes. Everytime Kozlowski gets Hossam up for the Stock Market Crash the champion slips out and fires off some well aimed kicks to slow Kozlowski down. The crowd are on the edge of their seats for every near fall as the match passes the 20 minute mark. </p><p> </p><p> As always stamina is Kozlowski's undoing. Double K has Hossam up for the Stock Market Crash but he no longer has the power to finish the move. Hossam slips out and peppers Double K's right arm with kicks before putting on a wrist lock and jumping over the top rope causing Kozlowski's arms to twist violently and hit the ropes! Double K grasps his arm in agony.</p><p> </p><p> Back in the ring Kozlowski roars in defiance and fires back with lefts and rights. Hossam is rocked and the challenger summons up his remaining strength to lift the champion up for the Crash again. Hossam again slips out and counters into a sleeper then transitions into the Camel Clutch! The crowd are going crazy, Kozlowski has no fight left and he taps out!</p><p> Hossam retains!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating - 75</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46735" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> Flushed with victory and sweaty from his exertions; Wael Hossam takes a mic.</p><p> "That was amazing! That was a close one. Thank you Karl." He takes a moment to catch his breath and wipe away some sweat. "This is what I live for and I can see that you all enjoy this too." He pauses again to allow the crowd to roar their agreement. "I'm happy to take on anyone in MWG. Anyone in Spain. Anyone in Europe. I'll take on anyone in the world! My challenge to the MWG board is to scour the globe to find the best of the best. Let me show the world just how good the MWG champion is!" Suddenly Double K attacks from behind with a clubbing blow to the back of the head.</p><p> "I'm not finished with you!" Kozlowski roars as he puts the boots to the fallen champion. The Red Devils run down to the ring but Roberts sacrifices himself by blocking them off and taking a beating. Kozlowski can't lift Hossam up for the Stock Market Crash so he hits him with a chair before fleeing from the Red Devils. Kozlowski poses on the entrance ramp as the show ends.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating - 78</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Overall show rating - 70</p>

Mighty Wrestling Hour #17

Tuesday Week 1, February 2017

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 1700

Overall show rating - 66

Video package of Hossam defeating Karl Kozlowki in a classic, challenging anyone in the world but getting attacked by Karl and left lying - 67

El Gamberro defeated Cain Carlile in 8:13 by pinfall with a Swing Low Sweet Lariat - 47

Gamberro gets a very negative reaction from the Pamplona crowd but he shrugs it off and gets on with outwrestling the inexperienced Carlile and beating him with his springboard lariat.

Gamberro grabs a mic and tells the booing audience that his relationship with Vita is none of their business. Antonio Arias needs to butt out too - 51

Yuri Iliakov defeated Samoan Machine in 9:52 by pinfall with a Kiev Krush - 37

These dudes suck and no amount of overbooking could hide this.

Hossam cuts a promo saying that he meant what he said at Vertigo; he wants to fight anyone but has to deal with The Coalition first - 82

Wael Hossam defeated Mark Adonis in 16:05 by pinfall with a Cairo Crippler - 70

Adonis keeps rolling out of the ring and wasting as much time as possible, his plan is to run down the TV time limit. This draws major heat from the live crowd but they go crazy as Hossam finally gets him in the ring long enough to beat him with the Cairo Crippler Head Drop Suplex.

Nice big crowd and an excellent overall show rating, Hossam continues to deliver.

Mighty Wrestling Hour #18

Tuesday Week 2, February 2017

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 1500

Overall show rating - 66

Double K and Phillip Roberts cut a promo and say that Hossam has one person to thank for being Triple Crown Champion - Kalu Owusu. They blame him for all The Coalition's recent failings and say he must start delivering - 61

El Gamberro defeated Jamel Arendse in 8:29 by pinfall with a Swing Low Sweet Lariat - 44

El Gamberro shrugs off the boos of the crowd to defeat the debuting Arendse with his lariat. Arendse is charismatic and could have a bright future but he was outgunned here.

Gamberro once again grabs a mic and tells the crowd to mind their own business. He then insults Arias - 47

Wael Hossam defeated Murai Enomoto in 10:12 by submission with a Camel Clutch - 70

An excellent match, they went out to steal the show and did it. Enamoto is a great grappler and held his own with Hossam for a while but eventually the champion wore Enamoto's back down enough and the Japanese fighter tapped to the Camel Clutch.

Karl Koslowski defeated Viktor Beskov in 15:49 by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage -68

Beskov seemed determined to heap more misery on the Coalition and he gave his all to fight Kozlowski to a standstill. Neither man looked like prevailing until Double K took advantage of bad positioning from the referee and used the ropes for leverage to pin Beskov.

Hossam came out to the ring to confront Double K, they agreed to a 3 v 3 cage match at Masters of Pain! If The Coalition win Kozlowski gets a title shot, if Hossam and the Red Devils win then Kozlowski will not challenge Hossam for the title again in 2017 - 71

Disappointing house for a good show. I need Hossam back in the main event from now on.

Mighty Wrestling Hour #19

Tuesday Week 3, February 2017

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 1500

Overall show rating - 52

El Gamberro defeated Lion Genji in 8:30 by pinfall after using a foreign object - 43

Trandifir Ionut is on solo announcing duty since Steve Smith is working elsewhere (and doing a horrible job). Ionut explains that Genji seems to be free of Voodude's influence. That doesn't help Genji here though, it's a close match but Gamberro takes advantage of a referee distraction to nail Genji with a bottle and pick up the win.

Arias comes out to confront Gamberro. He remains calm and collected and has one request a match at Masters of Pain, if we wins Gamberro has to unmask. Gamberro agrees if Arias puts his title match on the line. Arias reluctantly agrees - 49

Antonio Arias defeated Kanishoki in 9:35 by pinfall with a Pamplona Press - 41

This was a all out brawl all over the ringside area and it sucked. Kanishoki is slow with little in the way of wrestling skill, he's just big. Arias uses his speed and agility to get the better of the bigger man and lure him into the ring before hitting flying double knees followed by the Pamplona Press for the 1...2...3.

Hossam hypes the 3 v 3 cage match and says he wants to show the world the talent that MWG has by defending the belt against all comers - 84

Wael Hossam defeated Asesino Del Hacha in 18:46 by submission with a Camel Clutch - 46

Even Hossam couldn't save this. A combination of a face v face match, bad announcing, low locker room morale and poor chemistry led to a dull match. The in ring 'action' went too long. Hossam works over the neck and back and wins with the Clutch in front of a visibly bored Pamplona arena

That sucked. I need to spend some money on the go home show for Masters of Pain. I also badly need a back up announcer.

Tuesday Week 4, February 2017

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 1600

Overall show rating - 68

El Gamberro defeated Murai Enomoto in 7:58 by pinfall with a Swing Low Sweet Lariat - 54

Decent heat for Gamberro as he completes a standard victory with his slingshot lariat finisher. Steve Smith notes that Enomoto doesn't seem to be under the influence of Voodude anymore.

El Mítico Jr defeated Matthew Macks in 10:19 by pinfall with a Northern Lights Suplex - 52

I was hoping to build this feud but Macks handed his notice in. El Mitico dominated the match and defeated Macks clean in the middle with his finishing move.

Kozlowski comes to ringside and helps Mitico destroy Macks. Macks takes a Stock Market Crash onto the ring apron and then a Northern Lights Suplex on the outside of the ring. Kozlowski takes a chair and sits at ringside for the main event - 52

Wael Hossam defeated Pierre DuPont in 19:29 by pinfall with a Head Drop Suplex - 72

Hossam coped with the distraction of Kozlowski at ringside well and overcame Pierre's flash pin attempt to reverse into a suplex which dropped the Frenchman right on his head.

Kozlowski confronts Hossam and they stare at each other as the show goes off the air - 80

Saturday, Week 4, February 2017

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 2300

Oo2eX6C.jpgufMKWxg.jpgmTG1lW5.jpg

Hossam and the Red Devils start the show by coming to the ring. Hossam speaks whilst The Devils stand there looking tough.

"Tonight we end the Coalition. Time and time again The Red Devils have prevented them from disrupting fair competition and tonight will be no different. Kozlowski, last month at Vertigo I saw a different side to you. With no support from the Coalition you were forced to dig deep, find a plan and try to beat me in a fair fight. You failed, but it was close. When we beat you tonight I urge you to disband The Coalition, turn your back on shortcuts and embrace fair competition."

Some of the fans seem confused as this match is announced, all of these wrestlers had been part of Nanny's Kin. The announcers explain that Voodude requested this match.

Voodude, as usual, stays on the apron and lets Barenhaft do the fighting. Neither Enomoto or Genji have an answer to Barenhaft's power and he beats them both in turn. At one point Genji crawls over to Voodude's corner seemingly begging him for mercy. Voodude gestures for the finish and walks away from the ring as Barenhaft drags Genji to his feet and smashes into him with the Bear Charge. Enomoto starts to enter the ring to break up the pin but thinks better of it and instead drags his lifeless partner out of there after the three count.

Your winners: Barenhaft and Voodude

Voodude returns from nowhere and sneak attacks Enomoto. The sadistic Jamaican rolls both Enomoto and Genji into the ring and Barenhaft goes to work; double lariat - multiple suplexes - powerbombs into the corner. Voodude takes a microphone.

"You may be asking yourself; what did these men do to deserve this treatment? The truth is that it is not their fault. They are weak. They proved to be flimsy vessels of Nanny's power. Barenhaft is not. Barenhaft is strong. But one is not enough. There must be more. I will build Nanny an army. An army of the strong." The lights go out and when they come back Voodude and Barenhaft are gone.

There's a mere hint of animosity here but everyone in the building knows that this is an appetiser for the Gamberro v Arias match coming up next. Adonis is big and ripped but Koller is too quick and too skillful for the Englishman. Adonis tries to overpower Koller but is constantly being forced back by kicks and grounded by submission holds. Koller eventually gets Adonis on his shoulders and hits the rolling senton followed by a superkick he calls Hamburg Rock City. He covers and it's another win in the books for the German.

El Gamberro comes to the ring first accompanied by Adonis and Vita. He looks apprehensive, like he has finally bitten off more than he can chew. Arias is out next, looking focused and confident, to a rapturous reception.

Gamberro is an excellent technical wrestler and his plan is to tie Arias up so he can't use his high flying offense. This works well at the start of the match much to the annoyance of the live audience. Arias starts several comebacks but Gamberro goes back to a hold and keeps the hometown hero grounded.

Arias eventually successfully lands a flurry of punches and kicks which stuns the loutish Englishman and he starts to take control of the bout. Gamberro looks to regain control but Arias is a house of fire now and counters all of Gamberro's offense with arm drags, cross bodies and flying kicks.

Tired of the beating; Gamberro rolls out of the ring and asks Mark Adonis for a beer bottle, his partner hands over a whole six pack! Arias turns his back to complain to the referee and Gamberro moves towards to ring but Vita stops him in his tracks. Vita tells Gamberro that he "doesn't need to do this" and he should "stick to the plan and beat him clean". Adonis is furiously gesturing for Gamberro to use the bottles but he looks deep into Vita's eyes and drops them on the floor. From nowhere Arias comes flying through the air towards Gamberro and Vita, Gamberro pulls her out of the way and Arias takes a hard fall onto the ringside area.

Gamberro acts quickly, picking Arias up and rolling him into the ring. He climbs onto the apron and waits for Arias to stand up so he can hit his flipping springboard lariat finisher. As Arias stands up Gamberro flips into the ring but Arias ducks the lariat and hits a superkick on the rebound sending Gamberro stumbling into the ropes. Gamberro collapses in the ring, Arias goes up for the Pamplona Press and nails it! He makes the cover...1....2...3! It's over! El Gamberro writhes in agony and Arias quickly unties his mask and removes it. Arias jubilantly struts down the ramp holding the mask aloft like a trophy. Vita tries to reassure Gamberro as he is slumped on his knees, dejectedly covering his face.

Hawke slowly stands up with the help of Vita. Her expression is sympathetic but with a hint of jubilation. Hawke takes one hand away from his face, then another to reveal an unremarkable visage and scruffy brown hair. The audience's response is muted at first.

"I am Arutha Hawke Jr., son of the most successful wrestler in the last decade. My father is a guaranteed future member of the Hall of Immortals. I wore this mask to become my own man; to write my own history. Antonio Arias has just robbed me of my identity and I can assure you that he will pay."

Vita tries to calm Hawke down, telling him "its better this way". Hawke refuses to calm down and turns on the crowd. "You pitiful Spanish peasants need to know your place. You dare to boo the son of the greatest wrestler of all time?! Now you know who I am you better start showing me some respect! You think that..."

"I've heard enough!" The interuption is from the announce desk, from Trandifir Andrei Ionut to be precise. "Enough talking Arutha, enough. Yes, your father is an all time great and one of my closest friends too. He sent me here to watch over you, to guide you and I was glad to help but this arrogance dishonours him. Your father earned respect. He never asked for it but he went to that ring every night with pride and passion and gave his best and was given it by everyone. What have you done? Taken short cuts at every turn! Violently attacked fellow competitors with beer bottles! If you want to live up to your father's name then go ahead, maybe you have the ability but you have a long way to go to match his heart and courage." With that Ionut sits back down and continues broadcasting. Hawke Jr. stays in the ring thinking for a minute before leaving, still deep in thought, hand in hand with Vita.

Masters of Pain 2017 - Part 2

SVy9qp3.png

As the wrestlers made their entrances the announcers build this up as a make or break match for Champagne Lover after his loss in the Triple Crown match and the defeat at the hands of Barenhaft last month.

The match is excellent from the start, both of these men are accomplished all round wrestlers and the pace is frantic. The match is a call back to their time in Mexico with all kinds of athletic exchanges and dives outside the ring. Champagne Lover stuns the crowd with a front somersault dive from the ringpost onto El Mitico and with both men down Phillip Roberts saunters out to ringside.

Lover is now having to look over his shoulder to see what Roberts is up to and is not 100% concentrated on defeating Mitico. Roberts distracts the ref and Mitico tries a low blow but Lover counters into an arm bar. Mitico slides to the ropes and as Lover breaks the hold Mitico complains vociferously to the referee, pushing him and obstructing his view of Roberts as he attempts to clobber Lover with a chair. Lover ducks the chair shot and sends Roberts flying off the apron with a drop kick. Mitico charges but walks straight into the Lover Stunner!! 1...2...3! Lover takes a huge win! Lover oozes sex appeal and star quality and he gets a huge ovation as he celebrates with the fans.

It's time for our main event. The announcers remind us of the stakes; if The Coalition win Kozlowski gets a title shot, if Hossam and the Red Devils win then Kozlowski will not challenge Hossam for the title again in 2017.

The Coalition are out first, they huddle together as Karl Kozlowski gives his instructions. Hossam makes his entrance to a huge pop, he remains by far the biggest star here in MWG. The Red Devils are due out next but they keep us waiting.....and waiting....and waiting. Kozlowski has a smirk on his face and he takes a mic.

"Missing something Wael? That's right, I forgot to tell you; The Red Devils went home. Yeah, they had a better offer so it's just you against the three of us. Let's make this quick boys." Digger and Double K charge Hossam and start punching and kicking the Triple Crown champion. Owusu stands there, stunned by what he is witnessing. Soon Hossam is lying in a heap on the floor. Kozlowski grabs the referee by the throat and orders him to lock the cage which the intimidated offical hurriedly does. Owusu is still standing in the middle of the ring, Kozlowski slaps him and calls him over to the corner where Grave Digger is holding Hossam up. Double K orders Owusu to hit the defenceless Triple Crown Champion. Owusu refuses. Kozlowski gets in Owusu's face and orders him once again to hit Hossam, once more Owusu refuses and punches Double K right in the mouth! The crowd pops and as Double K stumbles backwards Owusu hits his tag team partner Grave Digger with a stiff lariat sending him into the wall of the cage. Owusu and Kozlowski brawl and as Hossam recovers a 2 v 2 brawl breaks out.

Owusu takes control of his battle with Kozlowski, he is letting out months of pent up frustration as he pounds on the Coalition leader. Hossam is regaining his faculties slowly after the beating he took at the start of the match but this is Grave Diggers fight, he use his power to slam Hossam into the cage walls again and again as Hossam seeks to evade him and survive. After ten minutes of wild brawling Owusu has totally dominated Double K, he whips Kozlowski into the ropes and sends him crashing to the canvas with a wicked lariat. As Double K staggers to his feet Owusu sends him down again with another lariat. Owusu covers but the referee refuses to count, they are technically still on the same team!

All four men are battered, bruised and tired after 15 minutes of fighting. Double K has fought back against Owusu and has him up for the Stock Market Crash, Owusu realises what is going on and frantically grabs hold of the cage wall to prevent himself being slammed to the canvas. Owusu is still in powerbomb position but he drops himself down and performs a textbook hurricanrana! Incredible athleticism from such a big man! The move pops the crowd and leaves both Owusu and Kozlowski down and out.

Hossam sees his chance, Digger attempts a right hook but Hossam counters with a kick and as the monsterous Englishman recoils in pain Hossam sweeps the legs and puts him in a vicious looking Hammerlock in the middle of the ring. Digger writhes in agony but as he tries to slip free Hossam works him into the Camel Clutch! Digger is feebly trying to escape but he can't get out of the hold and finally he taps out! The Coalition is defeated. Hossam celebrates despite almost total exhaustion, he leaves the now unlocked cage to celebrate with the fans.

Owusu, Kozlowski and Digger slowly rise to their feet. Kozlowski is furious at Owusu but he flees when Owusu squares up to him. Owusu poses in the ring as the announcers speculate what the future holds for the Ivorian.

We have just over three weeks until the new game comes out and I can't wait. I've planned out the rest of 2017 and i'm hoping to write the rest of the year in that time and pay off the current storylines.

Highlights of Hossam and Owusu defeating the Coalition from Masters of Pain last Sunday - 61

Sovereign Nation defeated Cain Carlile and Lion Genji in 7:40 when Arutha Hawke Jr defeated Cain Carlile by pinfall with a Swing Low Sweet Lariat -47

This is Hawke's first match without a mask and he works well with Adonis to overcome this very inexperienced team

Barenhaft defeated Gavin Owen in 10:12 by pinfall - 53

This had to be the worst ten minutes of Gavin Owen's life. Barenhaft beat the stuffing out of him in the ring, at ringside, on the entrance ramp. When Barenhaft finally got bored a simple powerslam was enough to keep Owen down for the three count.

Hossam comes to the ring to a hueg reaction and says that he has not yet heard from the Red Devils, he is expecting an explanation for their no show at Masters of Pain - 83

Wael Hossam defeated Sebastian Koller in 18:54 by submission with a Camel Clutch - 70

Seb Koller is a very talented technician but he was out of his league here. Hossam ran rings around him but it is credit to Koller that it took nearly twenty minutes for Hossam to lock on the Clutch for the tap out win.

Mighty Wrestling Hour #22

Tuesday Week 2, March 2017

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 1700

Overall show rating - 68

The Red Devils defeated Cain Carlile and Jamel Arendse in 7:31 when Yuri Iliakov defeated Cain Carlile by pinfall with a Moscow Dynamite - 50

Some decent heat for The Devils as they make their first appearance since leaving Hossam high and dry at Masters of Pain. They hardly break a sweat here, controlling the match and wearing their inexperienced opponents down before finishing off Carlile with their Moscow Dynamite double powerbomb.

Steve Smith tries to get answers from the Devils about their abandoment of Hossam but they remain silent and look menacing - 68

Karl Koslowski defeated Lion Genji in 7:49 by pinfall with a Stock Market Crash - 51

It's the time in the show where a midcarder gets beaten up by a pissed off monster. Genji is the victim of the 6'10" former champion who overpowers him early and delivers a beating to remember.

Smith interviews the Triple Crown champion but Hossam doesn't want to talk about The Devils, he has an announcement next week - 77

Antonio Arias and Wael Hossam defeated Sovereign Nation in 20:25 when Antonio Arias defeated Mark Adonis by pinfall with a Pamplona Press - 70

Arutha Hawke Jr. and Mark Adonis have something to prove here and they isolate Hossam early in the match and work the champion over. They get some near falls on him but he eventually makes the hot tag to Arias who cleans house to a loud response from the live audience. Hossam takes out Hawke with a lariat over the top rope and Arias hits the Pamplona Press on Adonis to pick up the win the for the babyfaces. Great match.

After the match Arias mocks Hawke Jr. and Adonis and celebrates with Wael before turning to face him and indicating that he is taking his Triple Crown very soon - 73

This show went very well

Mighty Wrestling Hour #23

Tuesday Week 3, March 2017

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 1900

Overall show rating - 71

The show opens with a hype video for Fight On 2017, the upcoming end of month show. The video hypes up The Red Devils explaining their absence at last month's show, a Arutha Hawke Jr and Antonio Arias sit down interview and Wael Hossam defending the Triple Crown against a mystery opponent - 46

Sovereign Nation defeated Cain Carlile and Lion Genji in 7:46 when Arutha Hawke Jr defeated Cain Carlile by pinfall with a Swing Low Sweet Lariat - 48

An easy match for Adonis and Hawke Jr. who arrogantly dominate the thrown together team of Carlile and Genji

Wael Hossam and Champagne Lover defeated The Foreign Legion in 11:41 when Champagne Lover defeated Pierre DuPont by pinfall with a Lover Stunner - 76

These four went out to steal the show and nailed it. Lover and Hossam are both top level athletes and the teamwork of the legion wasn't enough to deny them.

Ionut comes to the ring and tells Hossam his mystery opponent for Fight On is a veteran of Japan and the UK - 83

Karl Koslowski defeated Sebastian Koller in 18:25 by pinfall with a Stock Market Crash after Phillip Roberts interfered - 71

Seb Koller is looking to prove that he is world title material and came close to upsetting the CEO of the Kozlowski Coalition. The match was evenly poised with Koller's athletic prowess and technical skills matching up well with Kozlowski's power. Koller gained the upper hand and hit rolling senton to start his Hamburg Rock City finish but Roberts nailed him with brass knucks as he was setting up for the Superkick. Double K followed up with the Stock Market Crash Powerbomb to pick up a dubious win.

Hossam and Champagne Lover need to cross paths more often...

Tuesday Week 4, March 2017

Pamplona Arena. Attendance: 1700

Overall show rating - 68

Fight On hype video. The only way to see it is to be there live - 53

El Mítico Jr and Grave Digger defeated Beau Bolder and Gavin Owen in 7:37 when Grave Digger defeated Gavin Owen by pinfall with a R. I. P. - 48

This was a crazy match. The Coalition team found an excellent way to combine their talents; Grave Digger would manhandle the opposition on the outside and would set them up for El Mitico's high flying offence. Eventually The CEO of the Coalition, Karl Kozlowski appeared at ringside and Grave Digger wrapped things up after a monsterous RIP Piledriver on Owen.

Kozlowski takes a mic and cuts a promo on Kalu Owusu, letting him know that no one leaves the Coalition of their own accord and he should expect retribution at Fight On - 62

Arutha Hawke Jr defeated Asesino Del Hacha in 9:57 by pinfall with a Swing Low Sweet Lariat after Vita interfered - 40

These two had bad chemistry and this match sucked. The finish came when Vita's overly enthusiatic cheerleading annoyed Asesino, the Mexican leaned over the rope to remonstrate with her but got hit from behind with Hawke Jr's springboard lariat and pinned.

Wael Hossam defeated Jacques DuPont in 17:51 by pinfall with a Head Drop Suplex - 72

The announcers tell us that Jacques requested this match after Hossam and Lover beat the Foreign Legion last week. He probably regretted this request as Hossam stretched him with this vast variety of holds. Ironically Hossam won with the head drop suplex as Jacques was resiliant enough to not tap out.

After his win Hossam cut a rousing promo telling the fans that his title defence at Fight On will be historic and will mark the beginning of MWG rising to the top of European wrestling - 85

Fight On 2017 is next:

Vitality will defend their tag team titles

Arias and Hawke Jr. will have a sit down interview hosted by Vita

Champagne Lover v Grave Digger

Karl Kozlowski v Kalu Owusu

Wael Hossam defends the Triple Crown against a mystery opponent

We are straight into the action with one half of the tag team champions, Sebastian Koller, making his entrance. Smith and Ionut introduce themselves and bill this match as a chance to pin a tag champion and perhaps get a shot at the belts.

All three of these men have a lot of talent and they seem determined to steal the show. Ten minutes of high octane action ends when Seb Koller sends El Mitico crashing off the apron with a drop kick then pins Adonis after a rolling senton followed a superkick as he stumbles to his feet.

It's a hoss fight! And a hoss fight between former tag partners at that. Kalu Owusu is a huge man but Grave Digger is even bigger, the difference in this bout is agility. Digger moves as you would expect a man of that size to move whereas Owusu is surprisingly agile. Owusu moves around Digger's ponderous attacks and launches strikes from outside of Digger's range.

With Grave Digger taking a beating Karl Kozlowski and Phillip Roberts come to the ring to interfere in the match. In a trick that has stood the test of time Roberts distracts the referee as Kozlowski gets into the ring holding a chair. Things don't work out as planned however as Owusu sees Double K and lariats the chair right into his face. Digger attempts to attack from behind but Owusu slips away from the attempted chokehold and whips Digger into Roberts on the apron sending him flying. Digger is staggered but it takes four lariats to knock him down. As Digger gets back up Owusu nails him with a fifth lariat and picks up the pinfall victory.

Double K and Roberts hit the ring to assualt Owusu but he beats them up and escapes. Karl is furious and he grabs a mic:

"Kalu! You stinking traitor! You will pay for this. No, actually..." Karl smiles, he seems to have had a great idea. "No, I will pay.....fifty thousand euros to any person who can end Kalu Owusu's career. I don't care how; broken arms, broken legs...broken neck. Do what you will. I want Kalu Owusu gone from MWG." Karl throws the mic down and leaves.

As Voodude makes his entrance he makes no secret of his aim for this match. He hands Barenhaft a vicious looking set of spiked brass knuckles, the announcers note that these are the same set of knuckles he used to defeat Barenhaft and bring him into Nanny's Kin.

It's a high octane start from Champagne Lover who takes complete control of the bout. Despite being the much bigger fighter Voodude does everything he can to avoid Lover, all the while Barenhaft stands there motionless holding those spiked knuckles. Lover eventually gets Voodude in the ring for a sustained period of time. The Mexican star rocks the big man with a superkick and follows up with a swinging neckbreaker. Lover drags Voodude to his feet and hits a picture perfect Lover Stunner to pick up the win!

Champagne Lover raises his arms in celebration but is leveled from behind by Barenhaft. The bear-like monster knocks Lover down with the Bear Pounce and hands the spiked knuckles to Voodude.

"Voodude had no interest in winning this match" suggests Ionut. "His whole plan was to tire Champagne Lover out and now he is at the mercy of this sicko!"

Voodude puts the spiked knuckles on and there is a low moan from the crowd as the Jamaican punches Lover square in the face. Blood runs down the face of Champagne Lover as he raises his head and shouts defiantly at Voodude. Another punch follows and another until Lover lies unconcious in a pool of blood. Voodude calls for Barenhaft and is handed a bag. He reaches in but is suddenly attacked by two masked men!

"Hey! That's Mr Lucha II! But who's the other guy?" says Ionut. The two newcomers send Voodude out of the ring and take Barenhaft down with a flurry of ranas and dives. Voodude and Barenhaft retreat and the masked men help Champagne Lover to his feet. The three men embrace and the second newcomer takes off his mask...Ionut is beside himself with excitement; "It's Gino Montero! If you think that Champagne Lover is a future megastar wait until you see this guy in action!"

There is a big fight feel for our main event. Antonio Arias makes his entrance first to a huge pop. His entrance music is the Navarran anthem and the red and gold flag of Navarre can be seen everywhere in the crowd. Wael Hossam comes out to an unusually muted reception but as always he is focused on the task at hand. After championship introductions the bell rings and it's fight time!

The match starts slow with both men trying to win the grappling battle. Arias is not renowned as a grappler but he must have done his homework for this bout as he matches Hossam hold for hold. Both men showcase their athletism and stamina and the match works up to a frantic pace. Arias counters the Cobra Clutch multiple times and Hossam starts to look a little frustrated. The champion gains waist control and attempts the Cairo Crippler, his vicious suplex which aims to drop the opponent right on his head. Arias jumps and counters into a reverse DDT! Hossam is lying right where Arias wants him for the Pamplona Press but he is interupted by Mark Adonis coming down the entrance ramp. The crowd are furious and get hotter as Adonis leaps on the apron and shouts at the referee. With the ref distracted Arutha Hawke Jr. leaps out of the crowd and nails Arias with a beer bottle! Hawke disapears as quickly as he arrived and Arias is out of it. Adonis flees the scene and as Hossam recovers from the reverse DDT he hoists Arias up and drops him right on his head. Smith: "What an incredible match that was, I was convinced that Arias was going to fulfil his dream and win this title in front of his home fans."

Ionut: "He would have done if it wasn't for that despicable intervention from Hawke Jr."

Smith: "I don't think we would ever see his dad do something like that."

Ionut: "We would not, Arias will not take this lying down, what is he going to do to take revenge on that egotistical Englishman? And where were the Red Devils? Didn't they re-dedicate themselves to preventing interference just last month?"

Smith: "I don't know but i'm sure we'll get an answer to both of these questions when Mighty Wrestling Group returns to the Pamplona Arena - next month."
