Well it's been a while since my last outing and just like my main man above Phil Vibert I feel like I've got one last go in me*</p><p> </p><p>

So this is Elite Pro Wrestling, I've taken the company out of the default database. I'm trying quite a few things in this project that I've never done before... both in terms of the format and the content. Things might get a little weird! But hopefully some of you will join me for the ride. </p><p> </p><p>

In general I want to let the actual posts do the talking, but just as an intro this is going to not actually follow the shows of EPW but is supposed to be a youtube style show following the creation and running of EPW. Hopefully it all makes sense, I'm thinking a mixture of Being The Elite/Lucha Underground/ and The Office, perhaps a sprinkling of The Muppets in there.</p><p> </p><p>

It is still going to be following a TEW game save that obviously will have EPW shows, you just won't get as close a look at that side of things as usual. Basically I'll go to any lengths to avoid having to right match write ups out as that tends to kill my writing interests so allows me to focus 100% of everything else whilst still having the matches that I book in game matter.</p>

I must admit the logo is like 80% of why I chose them. I've also edited them to the point where it's essentially my own version instead of the default data.

Finally..... The Ape HAS COME BACK........ Home.

But yes I'm enjoying getting back into reading a lot of the diaries. I've checked back every so often and one of the only constants is you. It's strange to not see you with a WWE diary but I do prefer C-verse ones 90% of the time. On one hand 2020 being round the corner might kill interest in diaries for 16 but hopefully it has the opposite affect and just gets people interest in the game in general, like it obviously has with me!

So here is the first show. Over the years I've taken plenty of pages out of the Eisen-verse playbook and today is no different. I must say I've always considered posting in this pdf format because it is so much quicker to make but never really thought people would read it if they have to click on it. Maybe I'm right, time will tell.

Although posts will mostly be in this pdf format. The actual content will change quite drastically really. There's a few stages to it all I have planned and this is very much the intro stage.

EPISODE ONE

One small thing; I have no idea whether the saying 'in for a penny, in for a pound' is just a UK thing. So for any non brits... you might as well just leave and never come back.

But in all seriousness it basically means if you're doing something you might as well do it to the end/do it well. Like if you're betting a penny you might as well just bet a pound. So that's the name of her show as it's about her trying out different things and going 'all in'. And her name is Penny....

That said if you think it's an awful name it's not important and it's not staying for long...

I guess now's good a time as any to explain a bit of the behind the scenes. </p><p> </p><p>

So whilst doing this I'm slowly creating the pictures for the new people. These are not in the C-Verse at the amount and will be completely new workers that I'm adding into my database. </p><p> </p><p>

Elite will start with very low popularity obviously, but not 0. My thinking is let's take Heyman as a RL example, it would be impossible for him to open up (or even just be heavily involved) in a wrestling show and it be a 0. I mean 0 (at least to me) is like if I personally was going to put a show in some village in England.</p><p> </p><p>

I think even if Phil Vibert was just to tweet, hey I'm putting on my first show since DAVE on this day, it would immediately have more people following it than a random independent. </p><p> </p><p>

Add to this the vlog, Penny isn't supposed to be some huge youtube star, but my thinking is she still makes a living from it. So these vidoes would at least mean something to the shows popularity. </p><p> </p><p>

That said, I still haven't decided actually how popular to start the company. (any opinions welcome) </p><p> </p><p>

In terms of the wrestlers though, they are all pretty much completely unknowns, again though I'd like to think the vlog would add at least a tiny bit of popularity. </p><p> </p><p>

Wrestling ability wise they're all going to be fairly awful, but depending how bootcamp goes some will have a little skill in certain areas. Just letting you know in advance so you're aware that bootcamp matters not just in storyline but for the actual creation of the characters. </p><p> </p><p>

I'll be getting you all involved when it comes to the wrestlers starting popularity, as most will be super low but in my head one or two of them would gain a bit of boost by being liked by Penny's viewers (aka you).</p>

Just a couple more episodes until the first show. I've made most the characters now in game but might do a few test shows just to make sure it's balanced nicely before starting what will be the proper save. I need to hit that sweet spot where the in game grades matches the story I want to tell.

Side note: So as you can probably tell I'm using WWE 2k19. Now the whole time I've been doing this I've spent so long on the characters and the ring mostly because WWE2k19 has literally been running in slow motion, it also kept randomly crashing. So sometimes even doing something that nobody will even notice, like changing their attire for one different scene then changing it back for the next, has taken stupidly long.</p><p> </p><p>

For some stupid reason I only now googled it because my laptop is fairly decent so shouldn't be so slow. Turns out it doesn't use Nvidia graphics card by default and you have to set it manually. So this whole time it's been trying to run without using the GPU. So now it's twice as fast. Just a pain to only now work it out. </p><p> </p><p>

Another annoying story is I wanted to get a picture of the ending of the Troy vs Ivan fight. I wanted it to be a submission finish so I made the match a submission match, because it's in slow motion it's impossible to actually play the game so I made it AI vs AI. Waited 10 minutes for them to get into the ring, then I watched it for SO long and they just didn't do a submission move. I have no idea if it's because they literally didn't have one in their move set or what but I must have had the match on in the background for about 45 minutes before thinking screw this. </p><p> </p><p>

Going forward now I can actually play the game it will be a LOT easier to just control the characters and create the photos I want. It's strangely fun to sort of be the photographer and try to get good moments.</p>

He was a last minute addition both in storyline and in reality. I like the idea that he's a bit of a prick to 99% of people but is a genuinely great uncle. Mister Giggles/Noodle Clown is definitely the easiest to write although in time I'd hope to give him a bit more of a character/explore how he actually thinks he's a real clown/what on earth that actually is.</p>

Not that any of those are bad characters, but if anyone has to start with zero I'd go with some of those</strong></p>
