And wrestling certainly is high art. Or at least it ought to be. I've always felt that for pro wrestling to prosper and reach another boom period it needs to evolve to something closer to theatre and drama instead of trying to hang on to the "good old days" of pretending to be legit sports. DeathZone2 Posted February 5, 2020 Author Share Posted February 5, 2020 Live from the Wetson Gymnasium AWO Presents: The Reign of Zeus FINAL GRADE: E+ Reign of Zeus opens with the triumphant return of Odysseus and Penelope to the mortal realm.The came out to a standing ovation as they enter. They take a full minute to soak in the ovation before partaking in a long loving kiss. Odysseus grabs the stage mic and thanks the fans for believing in them and supporting them.The white meat babyface promo turns into an intense passion fueled promo as Odysseus reminds everyone why they were in the Underworld, Artemis. He promises revenge and he will make sure they suffer the hell he had to endure, and they will pay tenfold for the damage it did to Penelope. They kiss again as they leave to the back. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/IiBXhTLbwRo" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> New music hits the PA system and The Einherjar march down to the ring to a chorus of boo's from the audience. Eris introduces herself as Loki and Baldur stand smirking while Jotuun snarls and Troll picks his nose. Eris tells the tale of the fall of Olympus, as she was not brought out from the Apocalyptic event as she claims Zeus was selfish and only looked after himself. She talks about being heartbroken and say's she went out to find the best of the best and she found them in the Norse Advanced Invasion Squadron and Odin's personal invaders, The Einherjar. Loki and Baldur introduce themselves and their ranks, roles and status, before calling the Greek God's, "A collection of milk drinking, heretic frauds." They taunt all of AWO and announce that Ragnarok has arrived. KRATOS vs. Power & Glory After defeating both in singles action KRATOS decided to fight them both, because he's KRATOS and he does what he wants. KRATOS came close to losing actually, OK it was only a one count but it was the first time anyone attempted to pin KRATOS since he returned from the Underworld. He wins. Rating:E- KRATOS grabs a mic and promises to be the next Epic Hero. He then beats his chest and screams I AM KRATOS for three minutes. The Beasts From The East w/Artemis vs. Team Titans The reigning Epic Duo of AWO face off against the Team who just lost to Zeus and have had war declared on, and it was brutal to watch, mainly due to botches but their was some hard hitting moves that added a sense of realism to the match. The Titans were in charge for most of the match before Artemis got involved and turned the tide allowing Minotaur to choke out Prometheus. Rating: E Artemis grabs a mic and screams at her monsters for losing to Zues. She then runs down Penelope's looks and calls her a term not fit for children for being with Odysseus. She then tells Odysseus that she has sent him to the Underworld before and will do it again. After they leave, The Conquerors run down and attack. They take their time to savoir the beatdown before grabbing some tables that were under the ring for some reason and drive Team Titans through them and posing with the Epic Duo belts. Apollo enters the ring and reads off a scroll with a sun on the back and reads it Announcement I have, a contest of Einerjar, and Poseidon, NOW! Poseidon comes out and starts warming up. The Einerjar come out and start playing coy as to who w ill accept the match before Baldur enters the ring. Baldur w/ The Einerjar vs. Poseidon. The best match AWO has probably ever had in terms of in ring work was entirely because of Jacob Thunder, Baldur. One of the most promising young wrestlers, he carried Poseidon to a good match. He made sure to thank me and AWO for the work they allowed him to get and promised his wrestling loyalty to me, which was nice. The party was fun, until KRATOS destroyed the buffet by swinging his blades around and knocking Mikos through it. So great night actually.
