Aurora
He's the stepfather of Tessa Blanchard which I never knew till I just looked him up. Terrible story about the car accident. Sounds like he could have been great if not for that.

I love that I just realized that Coyote is Scott Hall and then went and found that Eagle is the guy who did Bray Wyatt before Bray Wyatt Di, Dan Spivey. I am learning things by looking these people up, thanks for that.

Kimberly
Saturday January Week 4 *Don Kernodle vs Dean Malenko *Superstar Billy Graham and the Barbarian vs Sam Houston and Owen Hart *Krusher Khruschev vs Ricky Steamboat
Pipers Pit
Tony Schiavone and David Crockett welcome us to World Championship Wrestling but they don’t get much farther when an irate Tommy Rich walks out to them. He apologizes for interrupting them but last week Paul Jones was out there gloating and he issued a challenge. He just wants all his fans to know and all the people in Baltimore to know that he’s coming tomorrow night and he’s bringing a partner with him! Don Kernodle vs Dean Malenko Kenodle controls the match start to finish with Malenko getting in very little offense. It’s finished when Kernodle hits a running clothesline in the corner. Winner by Pinfall: Don Kernodle The NWA United States Champion Wahoo McDaniel comes to the desk to meet up with David Crockett. McDaniel says tomorrow night in Baltimore he’ll be defending this title against some guy named Magnum T.A. He’s young and handsome and someday he may be a decent wrestler but none of that matters so long as Wahoo holds the US title. Tomorrow night he’s going to chop him so hard he’ll keep that leather jacket on for a month. A video is shown of Terry Funk down on his ranch. He talks about everything he’ll do with that NWA Championship belt when he takes it from Ric Flair. He might put it on a tractor, or on a mule or he may just melt it down and make a new set of spurs but he will make one promise. Ric Flair, you will know you were in the ring with Terry Funk by the time you walk out of Baltimore. Superstar Billy Graham and the Barbarian w/Paul Jones vs Sam Houston and Owen Hart The Barbarian and the Superstar control the match while Jones at ringside barks orders and trash talks the opponents. To end it, the Barbarian hits a powerslam and finishes off Houston with a diving headbutt off the top. Winners by Pinfall: Superstar Billy Graham and the Barbarian A video is shown of a man who is standing waist high in a swimming pool. He turns around and is absolutely ripped. He says his name is Rick Rude and he is the fantasy of every woman and the nightmare of every man. He finishes by blowing a kiss to the camera and flexing his arms. Dusty Rhodes and Manny Fernandez come out to the desk. Dusty says that they were out there last week and it only took seven days for someone to step up. Black Bart. Ron Bass. The dastardly James J. Dillon. They want these titles, they’re coming for these titles, but they have a surprise for them in Baltimore. Fernandez says they sure do. Long Riders the champions are ready for you and if Dillon gets involved, it will be a pleasure to put that bullrope around his neck and string him up like he deserves! Krusher Khruschev vs Ricky Steamboat Khruschev overpowers Steamboat for the early minutes but Steamboat fights back. We think he has a victory in his sights but the Russian slaps on a bearhug to drain his energy. Steamboat makes a second comeback and ends the match by soaring off the top and hitting a cross body block for the win. Winner by Pinfall: Ricky Steamboat The NWA World Champion comes out to the desk. He says two weeks ago Terry Funk made the challenge like a man but then he slapped Flair like...well he can’t say that on television. He says he saw the video with Funk earlier and it seems that he shouldn’t even show up tomorrow night. This title is on its way to Amarillo. Well here’s a new flash for Terry Funk. The Nature Boy will be there and he will walk in with the belt and he’ll walk out with the belt. And if you believe anything Ric Flair will ever say, believe this. Terry Funk….you’re mine! Pipers Pit
Tony Shiavone opens the show in the ring. “Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to Baltimore and on behalf of Jim Crockett Promotions we have a fantastic show in store for you this evening. Tonight we’ll see Nature Boy Ric Flair versus Terry Funk for the NWA World title. We’ll see Tully Blanchard defending the NWA Television title versus Ron Garvin and Magnum T.A. going after the NWA United States title versus champion Wahoo McDaniel. Sit back and relax because tonight Jim Crockett Promotions and the National Wrestling Alliance are in the house!” Superstar Billy Graham and the Barbarian w/Paul Jones vs Tommy Rich and Terry Taylor Rich brings Taylor to the ring as his partner and the two younger men waste no time taking it to the stronger veteran combo. Taylor gets caught in the opposite corner for a bit but he makes the tag to Rich who goes on offense and zeroes in on Graham. The Barbarian makes a blind tag but before they can double team Rich, Taylor enters again and tackles Graham with both men rolling to the floor. Rich stuns the Barbarian with a picture perfect dropkick, then hits a bulldog off the second rope for the win. Winners by Pinfall: Tommy Rich and Terry Taylor After the match Taylor and Rich exchange a hug and celebrate their big win as Jones glowers on the outside. Nikita Koloff vs Eddie Gilbert Koloff’s size, power, and speed is evident from the opening bell and he makes rather short work of Gilbert. After toying with him, Koloff ends it with a devastating Russian Sickle. Winner by Pinfall: Nikita Koloff: Koloff isn’t done. He stalks Gilbert and as soon as he’s been able to get back on his feet he’s victimized by another Russian Sickle. Koloff leaves the ring with his arms held high in victory. Tully Blanchard © w/Bobby Heenan vs Ron Garvin Garvin is tough as nails and takes it to the champion in the early moments. Blanchard bails out and regroups with Heenan. When he goes back in Blanchard takes control but he can’t put Garvin away. Garvin begins to make a comeback but when he runs off the ropes Heenan swipes at his leg. The distraction is all Blanchard needs to blast Garvin from behind before nailing the slingshot suplex for the win. Winner by Pinfall and still NWA World Television Champion: Tully Blanchard As Blanchard gets his hand raised, an angry Garvin gets to his feet and grabs Heenan before slinging the manager to the floor through the ropes. Blanchard collects his manager before they head up the aisle. The Andersons vs Dick Slater and Don Kernodle Ole and Arn pick apart their opponents piece by piece especially focusing on Kernodle. Quick tags and dirty double team moves set the tone for the match and Arn finally finishes it with a spinebuster. Winners by Pinfall: The Andersons Following intermission the crowd comes alive as Magnum T.A. comes down to the ring. Wahoo McDaniel © vs Magnum T.A. Magnum wants to keep the match high energy but McDaniel is crafty and the champion slows the match down, punishing Magnum in the process with hard chops and a few underhanded tactics out of referee Tommy Young’s view. But Magnum digs deep and begins the comeback. Wahoo looks a little winded as Magnum pours on the offense eventually hitting the belly to belly suplex but McDaniel gets his foot on the rope at the last second. Magnum waits for McDaniel to get up to hit it again but when he moves in, Wahoo grabs Magnum by the hair and throws him over the top rope which is an instant disqualification. Winner by Disqualification: Magnum T.A. As the crowd boos and the referee checks on Magnum, McDaniel grabs his NWA United States Heavyweight Championship from ringside and stalks to the back. Dusty Rhodes and Manny Fernandez vs The Long Riders w/James J. Dillon Rhodes is in control early but a momentary distraction by Dillon allows Bass and Bart to take over and they hold him hostage in their corner for a few minutes but he keeps kicking out of pinfall attempts. Finally Fernandez gets the tag and he goes wild on the challengers and when Dillon gets on the apron, the Raging Bull blasts him with a right hand. The Champs are riding the momentum and when Dusty gets the tag and hits the Bionic Elbow on Bart it’s all over. Winners by Pinfall and still NWA World Tag Team Champions: Dusty Rhodes and Manny Fernandez Terry Funk comes down to the ring first with a branding iron and looking crazy as ever. The crowd is at a fever pitch but it grows even louder when the music of the Nature Boy is heard over the loud system. (( )) Ric Flair © vs Terry Funk The disdain between these two is evident by the looks on their faces. The match goes back and forth all match long with both men being close to victory and close to defeat. When the referee gets knocked down, Funk goes for the branding iron and is standing over Flair ready to strike when Flair hits a low blow to the crowd’s delight and rolls Funk into a small package. Tommy Young wakes up and makes the three count. Winner by Pinfall and still NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Ric Flair As Funk complains in the ring to the referee Flair leaves the ring and lets out a loud WOOOOOO as he is handed his belt and he stands on the ring steps with the belt held high in the air. Mammoth
I've been quietly watching this and enjoying the presentation, and I got really bored and decided to give a Pro-Wrestling Illustrated cover an attempt myself: You can download the background (with easily changeable date) here if you'd like to have a go yourself. I'm not a prediction contest type of guy but keep up the good work because it's been thoroughly enjoyable thus far.

He says that tonight he has a very special person to introduce to the world. He says if you were in Baltimore the other night you got to see it in person but now for all his other fans he’s going to introduce the new Chief Operating Officer of Tully Blanchard Enterprises….Bobby Heenan. Heenan comes out and shakes hands with Blanchard. He says that he is going to take this man to the top of the NWA because he is the smartest man in wrestling and nobody is going to get in their way. Suddenly the audience begins to cheer as Sam Houston walks out to meet them. Heenan asks what he wants and Houston replies he wants that title. Blanchard and Heenan have a good laugh but Blanchard says that he’s in the mood to beat someone up so tonight he’ll give Houston a try out in a non title match. Houston says he’ll take it and walks off as Heenan and Blanchard walk off in an opposite path. Rick Rude vs Charlie Brown Rude’s debut match is not much of a challenge. After coming to the ring in a plush robe and gyrating to the ladies in the audience, Rude who looks to be in tremendous shape dominates Brown, ending the match with a reverse standing neckbreaker. Winner by Pinfall: Rick Rude David Crockett says a disturbing piece of video just arrived and warns that parental guidance is suggested. We see security camera footage from a gym. Eddie Gilbert is working out in a gym when Ole and Arn Anderson approach. There is no audio but it’s clear the Andersons are berating Gilbert and when he turns his back after trying to ignore them, the Andersons attack, beating him down in the middle of the gym. Ole is almost ready to smash him with a dumbbell when Arn motions that someone is coming and they both leave quickly. Crockett looks shaken and says they’ll be back after the break. Tony Schiavone welcomes the American Dream out to the desk. Rhodes says that while he and the Raging Bull are proud and happy to be the NWA World Tag Team champions sometimes you just need to be in that ring mano y mano so he will be coming to Winston Salem in four weeks and he’s gonna get funky like a monkey if you will. Magnum T.A. vs Joe Malenko Magnum is in firm control in this match and although Malenko gets in a few moments of offense it comes crashing down when Magnum hits a belly to belly suplex. Winner by Pinfall: Magnum T.A. Tony Schiavone welcomes Magnum T.A. after his victory. They talk about his recent match in Baltimore for the United States Heavyweight title and how Wahoo McDaniel got himself intentionally disqualified. Magnum says Wahoo knows how close he was to losing that title and it may take him the rest of his life but Magnum WILL take that title and Wahoo can’t run forever! A video is shown hyping a special autographed poster of the NWA World Champion Nature Boy Ric Flair. An address is shown where fans can send $5.00 for the poster. Non Title Match Tully Blanchard w/Bobby Heenan vs Sam Houston Blanchard dominates his younger opponent with Heenan spending his time split between cheering his man or laughing at Houston. Blanchard sets up Houston for a slingshot suplex but Houston blocks it and pulls Blanchard in for a small package which gets a three count. Winner by Pinfall: Sam Houston Houston quickly leaves the ring and looks as surprised as the crowd as Tommy Young hurries over and raises his arm. In the ring Blanchard is sitting stunned as Heenan, mouth agape, tries to understand what just happened as the show goes off the air and Schiavone urges us to come back next week.
