Awesome Kong and Kris Statlander begin the match showing off strength, and Kong takes advantage. They go back-and-forth fur the duration of the match until Statlander attempts a Suplex which Kong reverses into a Suplex of her own. From there, Kong delivers a leg drop, running splash, then a Sitout Powerbomb to defeat Kris Statlander at 10:51 to become the new AEW Women’s World Champion.

In a match that had great wrestling and an equally good reaction from the crowd, we saw Christopher Daniels and Pentagon share the offense in this match equally. Daniels showed he hasn’t lost a step until he went for The Best Moonsault Ever, when he wobbled on the top rope after losing his balance. This allowed Pentagon to take advantage, hitting a top-rope backstabber before connecting with a Fear Factor at 12:56 to pickup the victory via pinfall.

Dasha Gonzalez is on the stage awaiting Christopher Daniels. She asks Daniels what happened in the ring at the end of the match. Daniels, visually defeated, says he just lost his balance. Gonzalez reminds Daniels that he hasn’t won a match since February and asks what’s next. Daniels, with hands on hips, standing and staring out at the crowd is about to answer, before Evil Uno of The Dark Order approaches Daniels and extends a piece of a paper to Daniels; an Invitation to meet with The Exalted One, Matt Hardy.

In the End, it’s The Awakening who picks up the victory at 12:15 following a Shatter Machine to keep the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Darby Allin vs. Sammy Guevara

Sammy Guevara takes his time getting the match started, stepping out of the ring multiple times to use the 10-count until Darby Allin catches Guevara off guard with a suicide dive shoulder block under the second rope to kick the crowd into high gear. Guevara re-captures the advantage against Allin, getting three back-to-back near falls before Allin makes a comeback, connecting with a Coffin Drop at 13:06 to defeat Sammy Guevara for the new AEW North American Championship!

As Darby Allin is in the ring, emotional from his win, Ted DiBiase, Sr. enters the ring with the North American Championship.

“You know before I became a millionaire I traveled all over this wonderful area with some of the most legendary names in this business, and we fought and bled for one thing,*the North American title. People like Danny Hodge, JR’s favorite wrestler. Dustin and Cody’s father even won it once on his way to iconic status. Magnum T.A., Junkyard Dog, Paul Orndorff, Ernie Ladd, and of course,*Bill Watts. I held the North American title 6 different times, and it meant the world to me each and*every time so when Cody and Tony Khan reached out to me saying they’re introducing a new title to AEW and it would be the North American title, I wanted to be here. Once the tournament kicked off, I knew this title was going to be worthy of its name as the action has been fantastic. Darby Allin, congratulations on being the inaugural All Elite Wrestling North American Champion!”

It was AEW Full Gear in November when MJF cost Cody not only a match with Chris Jericho, but also the chance to every challenge for the AEW World Championship again. Since then, MJF has cemented his place as the top heel in AEW. Despite losing to Cody at AEW Revolution in February, MJF continued to antagonize Cody, and they meet again in a Steel Cage Match.

Cage Match

Cody vs. MJF

MJF takes his good old time getting into the cage, causing Cody to head out after him, where he is taken out by Wardlow. This allows MJF to take advantage, throwing Cody around the ringside area, then finally into the ring for the official bell. MJF methodically takes Cody around the ring from cage wall to cage wall, slamming him into each side, gloating in between each devastating move. MJF continues to throw Cody around the ring, arrogantly pumping himself up to the crowd between each shot until Cody beings no-selling the shots, bringing the crowed alive. Cody turns the tides, throwing MJF into the cage side, then the other side much to the delight of the crowd. MJF tries numerous times to escape the cage and run away from Cody, which was really the beginning of the end, as Cody landed a Cross Rhodes off the top rope when MFJ was trying to escape at 12:28 to pick up the victory.

We start the match hot, which ends up backfiring on Jericho early as Scurll reverses Jericho’s aggression against him to set the tone for the match. Both men get a decent amount of offense in as Scurll escapes the Walls of Jericho and kick out of a Codebreaker, showing he’s quite underrated in the ring. In the end, it’s Jericho who counters a Graduation attempt into a roll up, getting the three-count at 19:16 with a handful of tights.

Kenny Omega has had his problem with former Elite member Adam Page, which hit a new climax when Page connected with a low blow at their AEW Revolution match in February, cementing his position in this feud. Since then, both men have picked up victories and traded in a couple encounters leading up to tonights grudge match.

Kenny Omega vs. Adam Page

Uncharacteristic of Kenny Omega, we kick the match off with Omega attacking Page with a diving cross body to the outside as Page made his entrance. The two brawl around the ring for about five minutes before coming back into the ring where Omega continues the assault. Page turns the tide when he grabs Omega’s trunks and flings him into the turnbuckle. Unfortunately for Page, his offensive fury doesn’t last long as Omega ducks under a Buckshot Lariat and connect with two consecutive Snap Dragon Suplexes. Omega drapes Page over the ropes, yelling in his face “You made me do this” as he hits the opposite ropes and connects with a V-Trigger. Then another. Then a THIRD V-Trigger as he lets Page drop to the canvas below. Omega picks up Page’s lifeless body and connects with a One-Winged Angel at 20:40 for the pinfall victory.

For months, The Dark Order has been making their intentions known with the main event scene in AEW, which includes Jon Moxley. With The Exalted One revealed as Matt Hardy, the feud escalated between him and Jon Moxley in a moment. Tonight, they meet for the first time in history in a singles match.

AEW World Championship Ladder Match

With the AEW World Championship hanging above the ring, the bell signals both men to meet each other in the middle of the ring, exchanging rapid-fire fists until Moxley gains the upper hand, sending Hardy out of the ring. They battle on the floor for a few before a ladder comes into play when Hardy brings one into the ring and sets it up to go for the belt. Moxley stops*him and the two continue to punish each other, with Hardy sending Moxley to the floor, then following him. From under the ring, Hardy sets up 2 tables side-by-side next to the ring, but Moxley brings*the offensive to Hardy before the tables can be used by sending him crashing into the steel ringside steps. Moxley drag Hardy to the other side of the ring where he goes for a suplex on Hardy, but it’s countered, sending Moxley hitting the floor hard. Hardy sets up a ladder between the ring apron and the steel guardrail, then places Moxley on it. Hardy scales the top turnbuckle and leaps for a leg drop. Moxley moved! Hardy goes crashing through the ladder sending the crowed into an “AEW” chant frenzy. Slowly getting back into the ring, Moxley repositions the ladder already in the ring and slowly climbs with the crowed fully behind him. Just as he reaches the top of the ladder, Creepers hit the ring and scale the ladder stopping Moxley. Moxley fights them off, sending one, two, now three flying off the ladder to the mat. One creeper makes it to the top and hits Moxley with a punch, then holds Moxley’s head against the top of the ladder. Two other creepers climb up the same side Moxley is on and grab his legs, pinning him down. As Moxley breaks*free and kick the two creepers off his feet, he exchanges blows with the creeper in front of him. Suddenly, Matt Hardy is in the ring and pushing the ladder! Both Moxley and the creeper fly off the ladder through the two tables below on the floor! The perfect sacrifice! Matt Hardy slowly resets the ladder, then climbs the ladder and captures the belt at 17:53 to become the new AEW World Champion!

How much do you find yourself paying attention to the records when you're booking?

I enjoyed the show and think it was the perfect time for Awesome Kong to take the title (I think they need to pull that trigger in real life too). Darby in this diary as well as real life is my favourite to win the first "mid-card" title, so logical booking. I understand Matt Hardy winning the World Championship as it makes the Dark Order look strong and they need that after months of waiting (meh in real life). I just don't like it on a personal level as I've never really been a fan of Hardy since maybe 2002/2003. Looking forward to hopefully Kenny Omega taking that title off him in the near future.

AEW Dynamite kicks off with the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be, Bret Hart! Hart comes to the ring and compliments the AEW and fans for putting on an incredible product when suddenly, MJF's music hits the arena as he comes to the ring with mic in hand. MJF tells Hart that he don't know why he's here, because he's a has been. He's washed up. He's a loser...like everyone in Canada. The two exchange verbal shots as Cody makes his way in the ring behind MJF. MJF tells Hart he's done beating around the bush and what he wants is for Hart to kiss his Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF extends his hand into Hart's face and Hart shoves MFJ back, where Cody grabs him and hits a Cross Rhodes for good meausre. Hart and Cody celebrate in the ring.

He always goes to AEW on my saves.</div></blockquote> In the game he would rapidly become unhappy in NXT - it's just the way it's set up. I wish this AEW would have signed him before Hardy and made him the head of the Dark Order. To me Hardy had a nice little run a couple of years back with his crazy gimmick but he's really always a mid-carder in my mind no matter how hard he's pushed.
