Brandon Cutler vs. Shawn Spears

Shouldn't need Tully for this but when your Dad's more over than you are...

Kenny Omega & Adam Page vs. Lucha Brothers

Difficult one as Page needs a win (IMO) but you seem to be pushing the Lucha Bros.

Awesome Kong vs. Kris Statlander

KONG!!!!

Christopher Daniels vs. Sammy Guevara

Love Daniels but I think he'll be used to advance others in this promotion.

Street Fight

Cody vs. Wardlow

Cody win followed by MJF beatdown

Brandon Cutler vs. Shawn Spears

I think Spears is being booked awfully in real life, should get past Cutler with ease.

Kenny Omega & Adam Page vs. Lucha Brothers

Adam Page could do with a W.

Awesome Kong vs. Kris Statlander

Tough one as Kris is going to be a star in the Women's division, but Kong is Kong for now.

Christopher Daniels vs. Sammy Guevara

Perfect up-comer vs veteran match, Sammy G with the W.

Street Fight

Cody vs. Wardlow

I see Wardlow winning the street fight with some Inner Circle interference.

Chris Jericho comes down to the ring. He takes a microphone and starts talking to the crowd, before eventually getting interrupted by Jon Moxley. They have a big argument, going back and forth on the microphone, before things take a violent turn and they start brawling. A whole host of staff hit the ring to break them up, and as they are being pulled apart it is clear Moxley is not joining the Inner Circle, and Jericho's title reign is in jeopardy.

*Booking Notes: An oversight lead me to rate MJF and Wardlow on Overness in the final segment, resulting in the lower segment rating. I blame my kids for the distraction.

I don't get Wardlow winning to be honest - it's a bit like AEW in real life their booking is a bit too haphazard. I get the need to create stars but it's too early to devalue their few true Main Eventers. In real life they have two true Main Eventers (Moxley & Omega) with vet Jericho and borderline Cody (he really hasn't got a history of Main Eventing big shows) and they wasted Moxxley vs Omega on a meaningless hard-core deathmatch with no title on the line - it's haphazard. With this I know Cody was protected a bit by the interference but it just seems that this early it's a better tactic to build him up so they can have 4 super over Main Event singles guys to work at the top of the card. It just seems too early in their development for him to be putting over a guy like Wardlow for mine. That said I'm enjoying this diary immensely.

With Cody, I was caught in between two options. 1), have him beat Wardlow and go on to the PPV with the 'I'm going to kick your ass, MJF', or 2) have Wardlow pick up the win, and set the stage for Cody to have a comeback against the guy who has one-upped him for months. I opted Wardlow over Cody would be the bigger response. Look at it from a perspective of "OMG< Cody lost", not "OMG, Wardlow won?".

Glad you're enjoying the diary enough to give some big feedback. I enjoy reading it and it keeps me on my toes.

No worries - I hope you understood the thing about Cody losing was meant constructively. If it was NJPW or WWE then Main eventers can lose left and right because there are so many options in AEW having Cody lose runs the risk of cooling his pop too much - if you were booking an upset loss then MJF in the PPV would have made more sense to me in that MJF could become a star - Wardlow realistically would need a pretty special destiny roll.
