Rocky Golden....

Am I on an island here lol?

No I'm with you, tbh I've never liked Rocky Golden and I'm not sure why. I don't really like the render or his name bizarrely. In fact, I've never booked him long term before and so far my booking of him is pretty bland. If I attempted to write a promo for him I would struggle.

If anyone has a link to a diary that you enjoyed Rocky Golden in I'd appreciate it

Has anyone amped up the amount of RIPW shows (in which to give your development wrestlers more in-ring practice)? I was thinking about creating a weekly event; however, I'm not really sure if it would be a waste financially (i.e. a lot of money for little payoff).

On another note, I thought I read somewhere in the past that you could secure TV show broadcasts for your child company. Is that true or am I just losing it? ha. If so, how does one go about that?

If you go to Child-Companies - Broadcaster you're able to scroll through the list of networks, but RIPW doesn't have enough POP to get a deal lol! I created my own network and then went Child Companies - Own Broadcaster and gave them a slot on my network for a weekly show!

I usually book him as a glory seeking heel if I do end up with him (if he comes up you almost have to sign him, great looks, really good promo and he's pretty good in the ring). I would even have him fight fellow heels in the name of "justice" (self centered, look at me the hero justice).

This year he has an attribute that he is a better babyface. Also he's the only really big star the SWF has. It would really be hard to just take him off the roster (which is why I said I wish they had signed Hawkins or Bach) or use him as a heel.

As far as better renders I have A LOT of Cverse pics and plenty of Golden renders that are better. I'm with you on the name and the default render is meh.

I attached the one I used in 2016.

I'm not sure if you've seen these renders, but I quite like these ones of him!!

(I don't recall who I got these off, but they aren't mine!)

EDIT: I didn't read the post above HAHAHA!! I'll still leave the other ones here! It seems Shipshirt made them!

Great minds … I posted one of those myself. The file name says shipshirt so there's the artist credit. I believe that one was used in the 2018 Cverse mod from 2016 (converted to 2020 BTW or in the process).

Edit: with so many talented artists if the render is the issue there is usually a fix.

Yeah, I noticed your comment after I had posted haha! I agree that with so many good artists to choose from it usually is pretty easy to overhaul your entire roster with better renders! I did that and everyone looks so perfect!!

I definitely will give them a weekly show - more realistic in my opinion. I did in the demo but never looked at the finances of it - I can't imagine it's that much of a hit for SWF to make it not worth it just from the development aspect of it.

I'm also planning on putting them on the SWF Network, that way when you call them up, they aren't completely unknowns all over the US.

<p>Here is a weekly show that I just booked - it got an 88! Highest I've had from a weekly show! I am running 10 storylines, 9 are above the 70 threshold! I am missing one, but that one is at a 67 so not far off!</p><p> </p><p>

PS: Ignore the ripping off of real-life stables lmao, I'm usually more creative but I hate having a stable without a picture and I cannot make my own logos hahaha. I just downloaded a bunch of real-life stable pictures and have been applying them to the stables that I think they fit best!</p>

The Crippler vs Rocky Golden headlined my last 3 PPVs and scored 88, 89 & 92 consecutively. I kinda regret not making this my Supreme Challenge program.

When I was brainstorming ideas, it was to have Crippler finally become champion over Rocky at SC. Bruce would come out on some sort of appreciation type show like a birthday or something. Crippler piledrives him on a chair again. Golden runs him off for the save. We see Crippler taking out other babies that Golden has gotten close to (you'd have to build those relationships) and Crippler tells Rocky, take it from me... you either die the hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. He continues to play mind games with Golden, always getting the better of him and never getting outsmarted.

Finally SC comes and Crippler beats him clean. In the midst of celebrating the realization of his dream, Rocky recovers enough to beat the hell out of him post match, getting out all the pent up frustration of the past number of months. He takes it too far and stops only when he hears the crowd begin to boo. He lived long enough to see himself become the villain.

The you have Crippler as champ and Rocky in an interesting place. He can take time off to reevaluate his career and come back as a face, potentially apologizing and congratulating Crippler, or he can embrace the darkness and become a full fledged heel.

But as I've always booked SWF, I want to go a different route for my first couple games.

I think number 1 is amazing and all but number 2 is more how I'd go. Think it makes a lot of sense and it sets you up for the future, plus you get the eventual return of lobby as well!

Combine the two. You could throw Jumbo in #2 and it still works. Solidifies the natural face turn. You could even have Jumbo return as Jumbo Jackson and get attacked with Crip / Chris / Lobby making the save then they both come out in full Underwater Union regalia after the buried alive match (Jumbo is a sacrifice before the match). This way you bring the history in as an "oh yeah" moment ("they were stable mates weren't they?" the fans think) instead of "Look at what we are about to do!".

Question is what to do with an older Jumbo after his help in turning Lobby

Any suggestions in or out of the SWF for wrestlers to include (this all happened early in game so pretty much the default roster).

Sammy Smoke or James Prudence could be possibilities.

I like the idea of James Prudence. Future endeavored Smoke fairly early as I had nothing for him and wanted to trim some roster space for workers I was bringing in that I did have ideas for (Avalanche, Chill, and Makutsi were also part of that roster culling as well as sending Kristen Pierce back to RIPW).

He wins the belt, jumbo returns with a match, as I dont think he's big enough for fans to really care, and gets destroyed post match by Scythe. Crippler, straddling the line between good and bad, runs down to save his old stable mate. </p><p> </p><p> I would personally stay away from the gimmicky personas. Announcers could discuss on commentary how Jackson and Crippler were friends in a time past and Crippler is coming to save his long time friend. Poor verbiage, but I think my point is explained properly. You then have a tag partner for Crippler and someone to eat falls in order to build up Scythe or whomever else you want to feud with Crippler while also keeping him (Crippler) strong.</p>

I booked my best match that I’ve had by making a mistake first. I was running a three way World Title feud with Rocky Golden, Remo, and Angry Gilmore (I’m a big Gilmore mark from 2016, even though he’s going downhill). On Supreme TV, I have a one off non title match between Randy Unleashed and Rocky Golden set up after Randy interrupts the opening promo by Rocky. Well, I accidentally chose Randy to win. Ended up as an 85 rated match. So the following week, I put them into the main event for the title. They went 16 minutes with a Steal the Show match focus and scored a 94. Couldn’t have been happier.

<p>In my save I am building up to a huge confrontation between Rocky and Scythe at Supreme Challenge! Each month Rocky is defeating challengers, and each month Scythe's power grows stronger.</p><p> </p><p>

I have created a new cinematic match themed for him called Reaper's Challenge: </p><p>

<img alt="1oXlZpj.jpg?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1oXlZpj.jpg?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

And at every PPV thus far Scythe has faced an unlucky foe who he has defeated in his dark forboding home without much difficulty, and the ones he beat never really return the same ever again.</p><p> </p><p>

My plan is for Scythe and Rocky to face in a Reaper's Challenge match at Supreme Challenge, and for Scythe to win the world title! I am so excited to see how it turns out.</p>
