Updating my own personal data... Who all do you guys think should get a scandal added, change of attributes or even an absence, due to the SpeakOut implications?

First if anyone disagrees you're more than welcomed to. I know this topic is very touchy and the last thing I want to do is start an argument. For absences at least J.R. D.S. and J.H. those guys have all either said or have been confirmed to be gone for awhile. Guys I wouldn't do anything at all to is Ospreay and Guevara. Ospreay's situation, while sucky, has been pretty widely known for sometime now and gets brought up something like this happens. With Sammy I honestly would at most give him a 4 week absence. The guy seems like he genuinely is sorry and has handled the situation as about as good as one can. The other stuff I admittedly had to distance myself from because it was getting really bad. But maybe also add "Shuns Social Media" to the Bucks and Page. All three have seemingly gotten off of Social Media for mental health reasons.

Now as for the scandals

I always thought tew took a very robot concept to them. If you get sued then you always lose. It is basically cardassian court system. The scandals always seem to be negative and on their permanent record. Marty is simply a he said she said thing. Marty is even defending her on social media. 16 is legal in England. Alot of people are holding us law to people. Jimmy havoc actually just caused emotional abuse to someone else. I read her complaint and the fact she stayed for 3years. It proves she needed therapy long before Jimmy havoc. If someone is screaming at you saying I want to kill myself. All you do is sit there and act like you know how to help them. I'm sorry but you both need help to me. Banks admitted it but that was a 17 year old in England.

 

The point is it is up to you. I think it should be looked at on a case by case basis. Now if dream really did that child porn stuff. I would delete him from the game. I don't want to get into here. What dream is charged with is beyond all the rest of the people.

I'm not even talking about his skills either. The first thing I suggest anyone do is do a mass edit all potentials to random or something more positive. Jay lethal being capped at very low means he will not show very much advancement until he hits his decline in the game. I personally would never use him at all if I keep it that way. It just would not be fun for me. I'm just letting you know if you didn't know it.

There is a Sleaze and Scumbag options under attributes (personality) I'd add one of those to Joey Ryan, Jack Gallagher, and David Starr for sure. Most need to have negative personalities to be honest that have been involved in these allegations (as well as the sleaze option). I'm unsure who else have been accused of things because once the lies started popping up, I stopped taking notice.

 

I'd make Ospreay a bit of a jerk because that seems to be the general feeling about him (using his influence to not get people booked and then lie).

 

Mike Quackenbush should also be made to be a Bully if not already done as people have backed claims he was a tool. I think one worker said he was a jerk, but not a predator so I'm likely to believe those who worked with the guy over "woke" fans spinning their own agenda.

 

Sammy Guevara's comment was stupid and disgusting, but it was 4 years ago and he doesn't appear to have said anything as brainless since. In fact from all accounts he has been a decent human being for the most part. I'm not like the vast majority of Twittards that think 1 stupid comment defines a person.

 

In the UK 16 is the legal age of consent so other than being creepy, anyone involved in that within the UK should not have law problems, again though, Sleazy (so Travis Banks, Marty Scurll etc...)

 

Jimmy Havoc is just a complete and utter mess. Along with his drug usage, he should probably have a volatile type of personality (Troublemaker maybe). Sounds more like he's a violent A-hole with mental issues than a sexual predator.

 

Tessa Blanchard should be given the Selfish attribute if it isn't already selected.

 

I'm unsure what Velveteen Dream has been accused of, but from what I had gathered, he claims someone hacked his Social Media(?) Unsure if that is true or not so I'd wait until more information comes out on that one.

 

I'd put a fair few of those who have been accused on hiatus for sure. I can't see Joey Ryan or David Starr getting booked any time soon. Not sure what scandal you would use as none of them really fit.

 

Unfortunately, Twitter has a "Scorch the Earth" mentality when it comes to anything controversial and screw the consequences so it is hard to believe who did what to who on a lot of this. Too many people with an opinion shouting loudly rather than getting the facts straight first.

 

Those are just my opinions on how I would handle personalities. At the end of the day, do what you think is right based on the info you gather.

Jay Lethal is not going to get much better in real life so why would his potential be Random? The guy is 35 years old already with good stats, he is unlikely to improve so Very Low seems appropriate. If you can't play the game because of realism, I'd maybe find a new mod to play with.

So far, I have done the following:

 

Releases: Jack Gallagher, El Ligero, Travis Banks, David Starr (OTT and RevPro, nothing has been said from AAW and PWG), Tessa Blanchard, Michael Elgin, Dave Crist, Zicky Dice, Ricky Starks, Dave Lagana.

 

Scandals: Jack Gallagher and David Starr (Sex Tape has been used as it's the closest. I've set it for 12 months and it's severity of Bad). I've not set anybody else at this time because of the way Scandals work. For example, Travis Banks (despite how horrid what he's been proven to be like is) will still likely find people who will book him and will want to see him. Same for Joey Ryan, who has had stuff like this around him for ages and will probably be booked by the end of the year. I've done Scandals based on how much traction it got (David Starr is by a mile the most high profile as it started off this movement) and the response from the company (Jack Gallagher was immediately released with no investigation unlike all the other WWE performers). Feel free to disagree with me on this but the ability for fans to forget this kind of stuff is well documented. The issues with Ospreay, Tessa, Elgin, Ryan, Cornette and Mike Bird have been known for ages and they still found work and fans!

 

Attributes: Most guys have been given Unfaithful and/or Horndog. Tessa and Ligero have been set as Bully due to the allegations made against them by people. A couple of people have been set to Gloomy, including Dave Crist. David Starr has been set to Insecure. The logic behind this is that while he has apologised and accepted what has happened, he's tried to spin it as if he wasn't being scumbag, which kind of shows his insecurity as a person. He accepts he's done wrong but doesn't want people to think badly of him. I've removed Groundwell of Support and Highly Moral from him too. Nearly everyone who has been listed has been given the Personal Issues attribute as it's temporary and only effects in ring performance, which is a nice way to represent that people will have turned on them but some people will still support them. Will Ospreay has been changed from Driven to Mercenary as he's an asshole who uses his position and following to try dictate what BritWres should become according to him but is selfish about it rather than him being a bully.

 

Company Changes: Progress is now owned by Jon Briley (who hasn't stepped away from his ownership of the company) and booked by Vicky Haskins. Michael Oku/The O.M.J.O tweeted he had stepped away. Vicky Haskins has had her booking skills amended to match the Progress style.

Chikara is set to closed as well as their training school.

Evolve has had it's money reduced

FCP didn't have Martin Zaki or the other guy in the database so I've not made any amends to them, but since I play them on my UK games it doesn't impact on me so much.

 

Relationships: The following people are listed as having a hatred relationship:

I haven't set anybody else as I'm hoping the other amends I've made will make sure their employment status mirrors what I expect real life will be.

 

Sadly, a lot of what has happened will likely die down and not much will come from it as we've all seen how Wrestling protects itself. I will test the data with a couple of saves and see what happens in the world and judge these amends so far, making any other changes I need to before starting a full save. These things have basically blown all three of my saves up as NWA was using David Starr heavily, IMPACT was using Elgin and Tessa in a big way and my FCP save made a lot of use of Devlin and Joe Coffey!

 

Positive Changes: Out of this, some changes need to be made in the positive, believe it or not.

Dan Moloney has been set to Groundwell of Support as he's been very vocal on Twitter and has gained so many plaudits for confronting people over the accusations and amplifying the voices of those coming forward. He's also been set as Heavy Social Media user.

Pete Dunne has also been set to Groundwell of Support due to his social media presence ad handling of the situation.

Ricky Starks has been added to AEW on a Written Contact

My aim has always been realism and he hasn't improved or gotten worse in the better part of a decade, so I'd be surprised if it happened at this point. I messed with the potentials of older workers who I kept seeing dramatic improvements for in my sims (especially those in NJPW, like seeing Tanga Loa become amazing just makes no sense) and he was one of the "victims".

 

 

 

I think almost all of these guys will come back, but the only place Joey Ryan should show up at is some scummy outlaw indie show. I just can't see him coming back in any significant way.
