I'd switch their stats personally hmmmmm, "Back in the day" i'd agree with this, but in the last few years Jim Ross isn't anywhere near as good as he used to be, Cole isn't great i agree there, but in my opinion, based by todays standards, i'd say cole is fractionally better. I'd switch their stats personally Cole suffers from being fed constant soundbites from Gorilla but in the present day I actually find Jim Ross really takes away from a lot of AEW matches and imo EVERY women's match he's called the last couple of years. He may mess up a name of a move on occasion, but Cole does it more. Jim Ross is still an effective story teller and Cole is one of the worst in the world. He sounds like a robot and every time he fakes excitement it's just embarrassing. Jim Ross is better than he was for New Japan and the end of his WWE career. I'm far from Ross's biggest fan, but this whole IWC mentality of him being awful is insane to me. He shows passion and an ability to tell a story. Two things Michael Cole hadn't done in 15 years. Not saying Ross deserves 90+ or anything close to his peak, but anything below 65-69 is just insulting to the man in my opinion. In my opinion, Cole hasn't been good since his teams with Tazz and Mick Foley. I genuinely used to love Cole as an announcer, but he's a robot with zero emotion these days who repeats things literally every five minutes. If you made a Michael Cole drinking game based on how many times he repeats things in a single show you might end up hospitalized with alcohol poisoning. At the end of the day though, everyone is going to have a different opinion. I can always change their stats myself in the database before starting a save. There are zero "great" announcers in the US right now. No one deserves above 70, very few in the 60's, but that is my opinion and someone else may think differently. Just because 1 person likes someone's body of work, does not make them good. Best bet, give the suggestion, edit them in your game if you feel that strongly and enjoy yourselves. Yeah we definitely disagree big time Personally, I'd have Excalibur, Matt Striker, Tony Schiavone, and Vic Joseph all at 70 or around there. To me Excalibur and Taz are easily the most entertaining announce team in wrestling, but like you said, it's all very subjective. He's a deathmatch wrestler and has a rating of 11 for Hardcore.... which is also his highest stat He also seemingly can't use any gimmick style and has some random detrimental attributes like "Can't Fight Time" but I've not seen anything from him to support this. He's done some great matches in DMDU this year so absolutely does not deserve to be rated so lowly. good evening, kanwulf, thank you for your feedback and support, from my experience of watching Joel Bateman in action at DMDU, he's absolutely abysmal, no offence to the lad because he could be a sound bloke, but aye he's really not very good. i have several clips saved from a match of Joel's earlier this year, which i can post when I'm home if you require further justification for the skills of his which in all honesty I genuinely thought were quite flattering and generous.
