"My impression is that the people from the boards Ryland hired as testers are the people who play the game non-stop and are the hyper-dedicated people who know the ins and out of the mechanics of the game like the back of their hand. I think the problem with that though is that those kind of people are the ones whose main focus is on stats and numbers and that type of thing. That lead to the testers not complaining about how the new version of the game looked and not taking into account what the more casual players of the game look for.

 

I think it's only now that the demo has come out that both the devs and the testers are realising they had a blind spot when it came to the visuals. Most people are happy with how the game has been improved mechanically, but as I said myself on the board, the visuals could have been better. You can see the testers themselves clearly outing themselves by constantly defending the new visuals as making it easier to see the stats, which again, what they care about the most, but everyone else who is less hardcore as them finds it offputting."

do real life mods work with you guys. I'm using the recent ones from Fleisch, but my game keeps on crashing whenever I try to start a new game.

I think there is a select amount of mods that do work. I've tried 2 different mods and got one to let me book a show, but it crashed as soon as I tried to book an angle.

Using Keyboard for Angles

 

I've turned off "Enable New-Style Coloured Lists" and "Enabled Coloured Text" but still cannot use my keyboard to select angles. Instead I have to use my mouse.

 

Anyone else having this issue?

Is there a way that I haven't seen to move matches and segments up and down while booking? Having to click the arrow that constantly moves is sooooo tedious.

 

I've resisted commenting on the UI issues everyone else has pointed out, but I'm going to chime in here to bring attention to this.

And also, larger font sizes FFS. Some of us are getting older, or just genetically have shitty eyes. I'm over having to squint at my screen to play games. That's not fun and just leads to headaches.

Love all the additions, once the initial feedback fixes are done and mods are made this will be an enjoyable game to play. More so than any other i'd imagine due to it just having even more layers.</p>

I assume it's been mentioned but surely "The lack of anything interesting happening in this segment was a problem" isn't working as intended? Surely don't like having to click the small x button in the corner to close everything, instead of just hitting a regular close button at the bottom like I'm used to.

Big fan of the new UI and graphics layout, one of my main dislikes in 2016 was always having to dig around to find things but I don't think that's going to be a problem with this version. I'm sure I'll find things that bug me but right now I'm buying day one.</p>

Since it is confirmed as working as intended and not a bug, I have to add in my personal feeling that the lack of scrolling/arrow keys being usable in most of the menus, even after turning off the colored lists, is disastrous. It's actually the only thing about the demo, so far, that I actually cannot stand.

So, is anyone else extremely disappointed in this new product system and the fact that we're essentially "locked in" to whatever Adam wants when it comes to products.

 

For christ sakes, we can't even book a 20 minute match in USPW because apparently a 20 minute epic between two major stars turns off all their fans.

 

So, I tried a 15 minute match. Too long and heavily penalized.

 

Okay, cool. So the best promotion in the USA is essentially ruined because we're locked in to using these ridiculous product settings? Cool. What about those of us who want to sandbox book? Those of us who might want to book a 20-30 minute match between Nicky Champion and Steve Frehley at my big event? Just screw that I guess? If this isn't changed, I will not be purchasing this.

 

Why we'd even be handicapped like this I don't understand. It's ridiculous

Auto booker on individual segments seems very good, but if I try to book a whole show with it I get very long match/angle times. It will spit out a should be squash (well known vs unrecognizable) as 15 minutes. Cases like that only happen when populating full shows though.

Is it? It's booking all my individual matches at 3 minutes. And a 14 minute show-opening angle.

It's absolutely insane. Playing as USPW you literally can't book a match longer than 10 minutes without being heavily penalized. Same thing with angles, also.

 

So, in the modern day wrestling world, the #1 promotion can't put on matches longer than 15 minutes anywhere on the card. From the lower tier to the main event.

 

This makes absolutely NO sense. Imagine watching Wrestlemania and not seeing a single match longer than ten minutes.

There's some cool stuff and I love how the universe has evolved buuuuuuuuut getting told Nicky Champion vs Steve Frehley vs Enygma in a 16 minute triple threat was "too long" ...thats a big oof for me.
