When I try to start booking my first show I just get "Run time error: 3265" and then it closes. Anyone know how to fix this?

<p>So if I want to create a tournament for my women I have to know ahead of time which of the names on my roster are women, because there's no way to filter on the tournaments screen at all. </p><p> </p><p>

Like many others, I am not the biggest fan of the U.I., it's something I could definitely get used to for sure but so far, not really liking the look of it.</p><p> </p><p>

Booking your own show and going from match to match once the show is running is much faster, I can find myself booking shows quicker now which is a big plus. </p><p>

However, I played around with the auto booker booking the whole show and found that to be a big mess. I can't recall what the auto-booker was like when TEW 2016 first came out but I often found the auto-booker to both be useful and fun to see what the game comes up with. TEW 2020's auto-booker so far doesn't seem to know what it's doing, a lot of the time putting the worst talent in the main event. (Noticed a lot of tag team matches being created too which was also an issue with Auto-Booker in TEW 2016)</p><p> </p><p>

I dislike that roles have been replaced with 'perception' I guess that's meant to work in a way for us to be more flexible with who we push but I don't think it works particularly well, Main Event down to Opener seems much more appropriate and seems like an odd thing to replace. I know some people are a fan of it and I perhaps will eventually like the idea of that but for now, a big no. I also think the replacement of roles for perception may be the reason why the auto-booker so far is broken.</p><p> </p><p>

I don't normally play with the CornellVerse but I love the history behind it. I loved the changes to the CV in this edition of the game and I liked the little 'world tour' thingy that plays when beginning a new game to give us an overview what's happened in the last four years. Only five more years until Cornell Jr debuts:D! I'll be messing with the CV until next Thursday and will most likely give it a real go when I get the full game. Really enjoying 21CW right now.</p><p> </p><p>

I was annoyed at first to realize I needed to click on every little thing rather than using the arrow keys so I was pleased to notice I could turn off the new setting to allow me to use arrow keys. However, I eventually turned it back on and have got used to it. It's not too much of a problem and I can definitely work through that.</p><p> </p><p>

So overall, I have a love-hate relationship with the game, the UI being the biggest hate but the booking speed and the speed of the game, in general, being a big positive. Really hoping for some updates on the auto-booker. Can be quite tedious booking B-Shows.</p><p> </p><p>

Also, I know I can select/deselect people on the auto-booker but often just get given a bunch of angles and no matches when I do that. Would just like it to actually sort the talent properly when using it.</p>

<p>Has anyone started a game where the backstage atmosphere is bad? I honestly can't find one. Even the hardcore promotions, which should suffer from this, have 80+%. A LOT of promotions simply have 99/100%, like 5SSW, TCW, EWA, QAW,... Really loving the game. It took a minute to get adjusted to the white boarders, hopefully they will change that. A lot to take in but im digging it. And i love the perception over push. Feels more natural and organic. Yeah, I have noticed this too lol, I even converted a 1997 mod and for some reason, the WCW backstage was positive too? Most likely a bug. Haven't tried any other real-life mods but found it odd how WCW '97 could possibly have a positive atmosphere.

It could be, I just wanted to bring it to other people's attention. One of my only real gripes from TEW 2016 was the ass-backwards booking the AI would lay down every now and then. Top of my list for 2020 was for the AI to up its game and book stuff a little more realistically. I'm a sucker for it.

 

I'm still optimistic. Like we've been saying, it's day #1. I'm just glad different players are scouting out different aspects of the game to make sure everything is working ok hopes are still very high. I can see 2020 being absolutely amazing.

Still fiddling with it, but I am a little worried about it. Also noted some random little bugs, but I'll post those together later.

I haven't seen the owner or booker problem. I have created numerous companies and they've all filled out -- but the stable thing does stabilize (see what I did there)

I think this has to do with the new attributes as opposed to the old personality was. If you read the negative traits, they have larger impacts when negative things happen, so as incidents happen backstage, you'll see the backstage environments swing based off of personalities.

I don't think the AI is utterly rubbish at all, it definitely seems to be trying to book things better than it used to in TEW 2016. Still though, I'm keeping an eye out. Noticing a TON of tag team matches.

 

Again, I got a little list of bugs to report for later, but nothing serious. Still hyped! And it's kind of fun digging around to see what works and if anything doesn't. Also, I'm pretty much used to the UI already.

Posted this in tech support too, but oh boy is booking battle royals a pain in the ass now. Tried to prebook a Royal Rumble and that didnt' work for some reason. Then I went to see if it would work if I booked it normally, which it did. Problem is that the names don't disappear anymore so you have to hunt through huge name lists to find who isn't in the match already. Very disappointing since I like to use battle royals and royal rumbles a lot and it sucks to see it at this level of tediousness

Has anyone else noticed that tv shows for the big three only pull in like 1500 to like 3000 for tv? That kinda took me out of it from a visual and immersive point. For people who play RW mods I can see them being a bit put off by only getting 2000 people for an a show so I’ll keep going through to see why that is. Other than that I’m liking it

Ok, I've booked my first show and I have to say the Auto Booker needs a LOT of improvement.

 

I like to lean pretty heavily on Auto Booker to carry me through my TV Shows (I just like to tweak things here or there), but the show that Auto Booker booked for me was just DREADFUL.

 

After the event I look at WCW Nitro and the AI has booked a BRILLIANT show, with interviews, backstage segments and all sorts of great stuff.

 

Why can't our Auto Booker use the same system? Is this possible?

Is there any chance that an option might be added to lower the resolution of TEW 2020?

 

I was among those who were originally excited by the change in resolution, however, I've found, upon running the demo in Windows in Virtual Box (which someone else set up for me; I'm using a Mac) that I can't see the entirety of TEW -- and when I increase the resolution, it merely zooms in on the top left corner of the game.

 

1280 x 720 would work perfectly. I'm only missing some of the icons on the far right-hand corner of the game's window if I run it under current settings (with max resolution).

 

If not, no worries! I'll either figure out how to scale it to Virtual Box, cope with the reduced functionality or devise some other workaround.

To diverge from the topic of the post: the game looks amazing thus far! Randomness and incentive toward user creativity have been increased immensely (which is a huge win in my book, as I like both).

Changes to the CV are cool and modders will definitely find a lot to work with once they adapt to the new system. I also like the scope of the new attribute system, which allows new traits to be added with each update without breaking the game, unlike the old slider system, where a new addition to the preordained brackets would fundamentally change how TEW works.

It's absolutely horrendous. And like I said above the names dont disappear so it's hard as hell to tell who you already have in it and who you don't once you get a good number of people in there.

I totally get that it's something that needs to be addressed otherwise it makes a major match type basically unplayable but do we need to have the entitled attitude about it?
