TEW 2020 Small Questions Thread

Is there any indication of when is the best time to end a storyline? At EEA there was Sophie who told you when to end the feud. Is there such a thing in TEW too?

Hi trying to apply custom skins for my game, but having some difficulties with it. When I go to the 'office' tab in the game. All the buttons under 'broadcasting and events' don't align correctly and giving me tons of overlapping buttons for some reasons. The company logo on the left doesn't align inside the box as well. I am having this issue for all custom skins I tried so far besides the default one. Does anybody know how to fix this issue?

 

Lots of screens were changed between the pre-release demo and the full release, so skins released during the demo will no longer line up. Though I assume many updated skins will be available, you'll need to download new ones.

If a worker is retiring to a "backstage role" and I go to negotiate with them it always tell me that he is intent on retiring in peace when I only hire them for backstage roles. Am I doing something wrong?

You could enter a good wrestler in TEW 2016 but doesn’t seem you can do that now and you have to put the number in each skills</p>

My child company seems to be booking extremely small shows, when they should be booking a full length 2 hour show. What are the factors in this happening?

Look at their product. If they have a match length requirement (like for many Puro products), that could contribute to having what seems to be a smaller show (if you're only looking at number of segments). A "full length" show doesn't have to have a ton of segments in many products.

1) How can you increase your scouting level? I like to play with this option, but didn't know where can I gradually increase it

 

2) How can you alter your PPV prices? I accidentally create an internet ppv broadcaster for my tv show instead of commercial, and while I was getting more money than usual, my popularity seemed to be hiking very slowly. I think making the ppv for regular tv show to be much cheaper would help me.

There’s no right time to end storylines anymore. Pop and momentum gains happen as angles and matches attached to the storylines happen, and taking people out of storylines or ending them doesn’t have any affect to moment or popularity at all now.

 

The only downside is when a storyline starts to drag on too long, but you’ll get a note when this happens anyway.

 

Otherwise, this system gives you complete flexibility as you can alter/end storylines whenever you see fit without penalty.

So I'm certain that somewhere in the game, there was a section that explained how stables worked. How a Gang is rated differently to a Brotherhood etc on momentum etc. But I cannot find it for the life of me.

On the Stable screen, select the question mark in the top right and it gives you a description of each stable type.

I keep getting "The fact nothing interesting was happening hurt this segment" and quite low ratings.

 

For reference, I was using freestyle in WWE. I booked some segments with Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns (75 and 85 overness respectively) and the same with Undertaker and Bray Wyatt (90 and 80 respectively) - I was lucky to hit a 60 in any of those segments and randomly one of the three with Taker and Bray hit the 80 mark.

 

Looking through dirt sheet notes, there's nothing major that jumps out at me as to why these segments are failing or what the "nothing interesting" actually means.
