TEW 2020 Small Questions Thread

I did a search but couldn't find this TEW's iteration of the small questions thread. So I thought I'd make one.

 

I have a question regarding event revival and dormant statuses. When you select a month to revive an event or indeed make it dormant, a small text box appears next to it, however I cant find what that box is used for, any ideas?

 

Also, I'm pretty confident that the tournament feature is just cosmetic and for planning purposes, is this correct?

Is "New Worker Frequency" no longer a thing? I can't seem to find it anywhere, and would rather new workers than Regens.

 

New Workers mostly come through Training Facilities. One of the most requested features was for dojos to be more reliable at generating workers and this is the way that was implemented. :)

Thanks! Definitely in favor of this...but like...at what kind of rate do new workers graduate?

 

Just a major element of my gameplay that I am having to completely re-learn :)

Mod Work

 

So, I haven't tried to the demo yet. I wanted to get to work on a Mod/database I created in 2016 which was a merger of the CVerse and Real World with play that begins in the 1980's. When I created this in TEW 2016, it had been out for a little bit. Would I be better off starting work on my mod now or wait until it's been patched a bit?

The Player's Handbook covers that one, click the question mark in the top right corner of your road agent feedback to be taken to the right page. But basically, if people are just rated on passive skills (overness, sex appeal, menace) and nothing else then the game doesn't see anything interesting as having happened since those skills are..... passive.

I'm having trouble with the in game editor.

Whenever i go in and change some stats on a worker like changing a skill from 20 to 50 or something like that, then save and go back out it has been changed from 20 to 2 or something terrible like that.

Basically it doesn't work.

Am i doing it wrong or is there something wrong with the game?

This ruins the game for me right now.

Are you using the latest patch? This was definitely on list of stuff to be fixed. (Haven't downloaded it yet so not 100% sure if it has been, but I know Adam is aware of it.)

Today's patch should have fixed that, grab that from Technical Support. :)
