christmas_ape Posted May 28, 2020 Author Share Posted May 28, 2020 The wrestlers saying nothing to the police was a great touch. Loved that. The Croft mystery as well is great. Always fun to have a storyline with "suspects" and eliminating them one by one! The plan was always to have that sort of scenario, where one or maybe two possible sons are eliminated each week. I had a few ideas for little skits with The Cluesome Twosome that I liked but I changed direction pretty last minute to instead have the more shock reveal. Partly because the whole storyline has being going on a good 10 weeks now (and isn't over yet) so I didn't want to drag it on too much in case people just stopped caring. I always have another sort of mystery now going on asking who Will Beaumont is in love with, and there's more mysteries coming, so I didn't want all of these storylines to overlap so I went with this reveal. I am becoming more of a fan of Echo that and I want him to get a match with Frogue so keep the wins coming. It's weird you say this as when I was reading Lloyd's RAW the other day I wondered whether Frogue being the man who injured Echo is cannon (and therefore free for me to use!) or a story he has added (in which case I wouldn't want to use it). I mean realistically I wouldn't want to use it any time soon either way just to avoid us crossing paths a bit, but I'd be interested to know whether that's actually in c-verse cannon somewhere, I don't remember seeing it in any bios. Lloyd is probably best person to ask this I suppose! 1) Wouldn't it add a bit of fire if the brothers were on opposite sides? Didnt you sign Buckminster Snark from ZEN? That would have been my choice. A double cross by The Brat Pack would also be up there. Based on who is left... Tye Liberteen because he is good in the ring and Frankie Liberteen. Thougb a Gladiator and JT Ace would be hilarious. I know this one, so just give me the points. Spoilers <table border="0" bgcolor=#DCDCDC><tr><td align="left" width = "1000"> <details><summary></summary> So I don't in general want to 'show you behind the curtain' too much. I do that enough already in the actual show! But I feel like going into my decision for the sons a little here.... the plan for this changed so many times! Initially it was always going to be the 3AM Boys. This changed partly because I always thought they were like 21 in game (so pretending they are 18 or so isn't at all a stretch) so when I saw they are 25/26 it put me off a little. I'm happy to stretch people's ages and the age they are in c-verse doesn't neccesarily mean that's the age of the wrestler they are portraying on RAW. I see RAW more like a soap, and of course soap actors age can vary pretty wildly from their characters age. But still I wanted someone younger and the future storyline I had with them (rejecting Croft but winning the Croft name to piss him off) I sort of went cold on. Then it was always going to be one member of Liberteen and Gladiator. This was the plan for quite a while, I just found the idea funny for some reason that Croft would father this ice powered giant with weird powers. And like LaEstrella said I liked the idea of them being from different sides. But long story short I went a bit off this idea, partly just because I preferred the storyline that is replacing it, and also because Gladiator is needed in a different story and I didn't want to scrap that. Although in some way a storyline being 'clean' has not been my RAW way. I liked it being a little more believable. They are both young, look a like and I liked the fact that they were the two Liberteen that weren't getting on. I won't go into any more details but it's safe to say I'm excited about where it's all going so hopefully some other people are! P.S No I haven't signed Snark. Because it's a big roster I've so far avoided the temptation to make any signings. At first the plan was to keep it this way for a long time, but there are plenty of people out there that keep catching my eye!</summary></details></details></td></tr></table></details> Wrestlers court is in session! Tombstone and The Wayne Brothers are on trial, tune in to find out the verdict. GUILTY AS CHARGED! I heard a great interview yesterday with Brian Gerwitz (on Jericho's podcast, from a few years ago) and he talked about the time he and Edge and Christian went to wrestler's court. He was hilarious! Really came across well. I recommend the interview for sure. But the bit about wrestler's court was superb! Always thought (someone funnier than me) should write a segment of Wrestler's Court on screen Really looking forward to your take!! I actually didn't listen to that as part of any research, although I was annoyed to find that Impact had a wrestlers court segment only a few months ago! And it used a few ideas I already had! I sort of took more though from The Trial of Eric Bischoff. Admittedly I think there's more that could be done with the whole trial thing. And I do have more ideas myself for it, they just didn't seem to fit with this particular storyline so although I enjoyed the segment I wouldn't be put off having a 2nd, hopefully better courtroom storyline. So many shows have random courtroom episodes and I do think they fit well with wrestling. The next episode (leading on from that last segment) is one that I've been waiting to do for a while so looking forward to getting to that now! It was fun, and also really annoying. But I had Echo brake his neck in December 2017, even though his bio doesn't mention when he broke it. Just that it was between 16-20 and he was out for 'well over a year'. I do remember reading that, I like it. I knew it seemed like you had added that detail in, good thing to know for sure or I could have easily referenced it without knowing! I'll save the mixing up of diary storylines for the time our two alternate dimensions merge for a one off super show of epic proportions. JT, no! How could you? Most of the roster now gone, diary over (this one would be a shame) I don't want to give any more away before the episode but your predictions are pretty uncanny as I would say it's very much a mixture of 1 and 2... but like I say I'll avoid any more details. 100% I'll remember number 3 though. If ever I know this diary is coming to end there will be no grand wrestlemania style show, just the untimely deaths of all the characters. And in fact if ever I need to take a break it's definitely going to be that Gladiator realises the true strength of his ice powers and accidentally freezes the entirety of RAW. So you can pick anyone on the roster, and I will make them a champion. Now obviously I don't want this to completely derail any plans I've already got down so please see terms and conditions below; You can't pick the title, they might end up winning the TV, Quest or Tag Titles And I'm not gonna put a time limit on myself, ideally I'll give the person a title soon, but I can't promise that. It at least gives potential for the storyline to thicken further down the road! I'm looking forward to the new JT Ace too, in some ways he needs to be a slow burn with him being 21, low popularity and not the best in ring. He's not done too well for me in the first few months (going from 52 pop to 50 in the process) to use the old terms he's very much a lower midcarder. If he wins the tag titles he would become not only the first 5x tag champion but the first 5 time champion full stop in RAW. He has never won a singles titles so perhaps he has a shot at the Quest or TV title! It makes sense for Lynx to win the title. But I am all in on "Tailor Made" Cole Taylor You can't go wrong going with your heart! (or can you? we'll soon see!) The hound-- I mean Manhunter is taking it. I'm starting to really dislike your prophetic comments, perhaps you based Cyclops in your diary off yourself. (This isn't me confirming or denying Manhunter winning but more the fact that you called the GoT direction from zero clues and now linking Manhunter to the hound!) Looking forward to JT's direction now, was shocked to see Kian & Kal win that one. I definitely toyed with it just ended as a sports entertainmenty draw. But I've done plenty of those. I like JT's story coming up, although a pretty big spanner in the works is that I've only realised too late that in game the crowd think it's too soon for a heel turn. It's really annoying that because he's only just debuted in game, and he debuted with Gladiator who doesn't have that. So in cannon it seems like they have just arrived as faces. I know the game isn't smart enough to know that, but it is a shame. I have no idea what happens if a turns is a disaster, assuming it just hurts momentum? Maybe the gimmick as well.
