TOTKingNothing
Teemu I just want to applaud you for trying and trying and trying even though the sandbox crowd keeps getting kicked down. You're genuinely still putting in an effort. After my last comment about custom products vs the current system was deleted by mods, I gave up trying to fight the fight because it's pretty clear they don't care about how we want to play the game. But then you come flying back in with another great suggestion and well thought out argument. Kudos to you sir, I hope someone listens to you. Slim Jim
Not to try to add more penalties to the situation but an idea that might help the OCD ‘well, if I book like this I’ll avoid all penalties’, which I get as well especially if I’m trying to book quickly to move onto a bigger show. What if there was a ‘penalty’ for having too many angles of the same length? Then you’d be forced to weigh up which ones you gave more or less time to because suddenly you’re trying to find a balance between penalties. It would stop the need to book all 6 minute angles and add more strategy. Ideally it would go alongside other ideas like being able to get round penalties through talent of your workers (similar to the repetitive booking penalty... this segment had better be ‘this’ good or it’ll get penalised). And workers who specialise in shorter or longer angles like we have attributes for people who do better in shorter/longer matches. Anything to add variety and strategy is good in my book. SirMichaelJordan
Somewhat off topic but another thing that I wouldn’t mind changing is booking time overall. I think it would be better if time was booked in ranges. Maybe 7-10 minutes, 10-13 minutes etc. it really don’t make sense for a person to be fatigue for a 7 minute match but would be perfectly fine for a 6 minute match. This could also open up a scenario where a selfish worker would go over his allocated time and you’ll have to make adjustments to other segments. I posted a poll the other day about products just to see what everyone is thinking. I would have thought someone at Greydog would have been at least a little interested to know. Well apparently not. The poll was deleted in less than 12 hours. Seems as though they didn't like the way people were voting. I PM'ed Arlie 2 days ago to ask why and to apologize if I somehow caused a problem but I haven't heard back yet.
daddytorgo1
Not sure if I was the first one, but I have definitely been saying this for the past few days, although not with as much detail and supporting evidence. Thanks for laying it out like this and bringing more visibility to the idea though!
daddytorgo1
I think it would be better to scrape the time-penalties until a better way is found. What i always missed was a "repetitive booking" for angles too. Maybe there should be no "not rated" on angles and have to find a promo partner or good interviewer even for your topstars. Even Austin couldn`t hold the crowd just cutting a promo about himself 4 weeks in a row. But thats what you would do for success in TEW. The best way to get high ratings in an Attitude product would be booking 3x5minutes Austin promos each show. 100,100,100 Or change to "tight focus" and just book one. KevinStorm
This is true if we are strictly talking about TV shows. But this is common in wrestling, it’s why segments get cut and changed on the fly. Just looking at the leak script from Raw years ago and going to cagematch.com for the time of match, the match was scheduled for 6 minutes but according to cagematch.com it lasted for 10:35. You can argue they went over time or that it’s not the final script but I don’t think booking in a small range of minutes isn't too unrealistic. It may be better for gameplay because it eliminates arbitrary numbers. Sources https://m.imgur.com/a/u9Xj3 https://www.cagematch.net/?id=1&nr=109759 The game already sort of does this. A match booked for 6 minutes might go 5:30 or 6:50 or whatever. Booking a match for 6 minutes and it going 10 would be an example of workers going over time, either accidentally or intentionally, which is a thing that should happen for sure now that we have on the fly booking in the game. But just like your example shows, they had 6 minutes booked, not 6-10. The script is even written down to the second.
