My user-character has also ruined the career of Air Raid Syren with a botched move. Out for a year. So I've started having to use Keep it Simple notes for her.

Haha! In mine my UC gave Lance Lott a Broken Forearm on my first show! For some reason he's decided he can work through it, though! (Not that I'm going to risk booking him.)

I'm excited to get to that point now. I'm running 2 shows a week with a roster of 15 currently. Doing a 10 man round Robin to decide my first champ and having the other 5 be in a throwaway match so they don't complain about being left off the card. Might just not book them for financial reasons. Have a 3 match card with 1 angle, save money and save matches.

Do workers complain about left off shows when they're on handshake deals? I vaguely recall seeing something about that but I could be mistaken.

who's the California dreams?

Kira Lee and Skye Hermosa.

You can sign written deals at small?

Yeah! Be careful though, so can the AI so you can get in a bidding war with other small companies (lost James Diaz to MAW because of this).

Oh the urge to sign Dreadnought and James Diaz to 10 year deals is gonna be real tempting. I'm a sucker for legacy talent. I'm really curious what my financials look like at that point and if I'll be able to realistically sign talent without going bankrupt.

Used to be based on their push. I've seen people getting irritated about being left off of shows so I guess it's today with their perception. Depends on the type of events you're running though. Another reason why touring is good at the lowest levels.

Oh I've been running small shows... should I switch to touring? Aside from the lower asking prices and higher ratings needed for pop growth, does it change anything?

I honestly do not know what else to do. Trying to be on wrestleworld puts me deeper in the whole because of their minimum production values plus doing weekly shows the first few months puts you too deep in the whole even when i'm only paying most of my wrestlers 20 bucks a show and the wrestling industry in the 70's.

<p>First year done, I got rolls #6 (Kinji Akamatsu took me as his protege) and #46, making me a baseline Heel. WEXX held 30 shows, with the best rating 44. UC highest rated match has been 36. We had to halt down the schedule when we reached Tiny but now we're at even money financially. UC has simmering tension with 7-8 people but Loyalty with one. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

It was a rough year as there were approximately 20-25 injuries and my UC broke his jaw at one point. I've ruled with Iron Fist and now my image is so feared that people behave well.</p>

What popularity were you at before drawing 10k?

I think maybe 50ish? I noticed my attendance (using free tickets and with a Wrestleworld deal) really skyrocketed in the space of about eight shows; I went from getting around 4,000 a show to repeatedly selling out a 10,000 arena. (I'd just won a regional battle, which helped.)

Man it seems like once you get to small that's when things start to get tough like do I take the production hits and go back to free ticket sales to increase popularity with fans?

In past iterations of the challenge the goal was to get as popular as possible as fast as possible in order to make enough off of ticket sales to outweigh your talent/broadcasting costs. Once you did that it was smooth sailing.

Does anyone know if the 6 month buffer after the first year is still in effect or do you get 12 months of debt and at the start of January you're done if you're not in the green?

Here we go!

Super excited to be doing this in this year's game! Kept wanting to redo an attempt in 2016 after hitting that HoF status in it and never did, so I'm excited to make things happen in this one! (This is being done in a real world based database starting in October 2014.)

Real Wrestling Action is my starting company taking place in the Midwest with a Silver Age Pro Wrestling product. The idea behind the company is kinda similar to NWA in the sense of it being a throwback to older wrestling and mostly in-ring action that still features characters and whatnot.

CR Daredevil is an 18 year old middleweight technician who wears a mask everywhere he seems to go, as if trying to hide his identity from the world... for some reason....

(Side note, I did do the Quick Skill Creation tool and got really lucky with my stats adding up to 879 not counting Respect and Resilience. If this is an issue to start it this high, I can edit the stats down before I get too far into it. Feel like the Skill Creation causes higher than 750 a lot though, so maybe the first option should be higher? Just a thought.)

The added benefit of this attempt is that the shows and whatnot will be recorded for my YouTube channel (CRDaredevil05 if it's not obvious lol), so you can watch my triumphs and failures along the way if you'd like.

Look forward to seeing everyone else continue to progress in this!

If so, I'm major behind!</p>

First year done and Kanzen (I always steal a company from the database and reimage it) is verging on Small, carried on the back of Talia Quinzel who has been our champion for the whole year. She has been involved in 8 of our 10 highest scoring matches.

I'm faced with the Wrestleworld dilemma and having put it off since we hit 25 I'm going to try and make it work going over from a touring company to a TV show one. I need to get to small to start giving written contracts to unemployed people - up to now I've been bringing in "my" workers only to see QAW give them a contract a month or two down the line (Shiori Jippinski, Christy Higgins). Not a problem at the moment but QAW look likely to reach Medium in 2021 which could have devastating results on our roster.

My user character is coming along as you'd expect someone who gets to wrestle 60 times a year in the new system. After the AR Syren botch (left her legs at 41%, which can't be good) she's not been too bad - injuring Ava Anderson for a couple of months but its no more than she deserved. I got three rolls (for tiny, 50-rated card and 50-rated match)

Selfish performer with Swagger

Snow to eskimos

Loyalty with her tag partner, Ellie de Grazia with whom I have great chemistry and who can intimidate QAW divas into taking a pin every so often. I've already got 53 tag experience with her as we only work together.

Anyway according to my calculations I'm likely to lose about 15k in the first month because of raised production values so I'm hoping we can break even quickly or this will be a very short-lived career.
