Battle of the TV Champions

Mark Jindrak vs Mike Awesome

WCW World War 3 opens up with the announce team of Tony Schivone, Mike Tenay and Bobby Heenan welcoming us as they hype this first match between the 2 Television Champions of opposite sides. Jindrak makes his way to the ring but is attacked from behind as he makes his way to the ring. Given that he now has the advantage, Awesome proceeds to pick up Jindrak and hit him with hard rights, falling backwards and getting closer to the ring with each blow. Eventually the two make it into the ring and the bell rings. What follows is now one of the biggest fist fights in recent memory. The champions stretch the rules of the match to its limits, with almost every rule broken apart from the swinging of the weapon. In the end the bragging rights of TV Champion gos to Jindrak who manages to hit his Finisher on Awesome from almost out of nowhere. This allows him to pick up the 3 count but leaves the announcers calling it a loss on the books for Awesome, but a victory in the ring as he held his own until the very end.

Winner: Mark Jindrak

Paul Heyman is backstage with team XCW, including Tommy Dreamer and Rhino who will be facing off later tonight for the XCW Championship. Heyman starts by saying he can't wait to see them fight it out tonight and steal the show, but he has his eyes on a different prize tonight. Heyman says he wants his team to take home the WW3 match victory tonight because he has the greatest idea ever on how to put XCW firmly on the map in WCW. He says that when one of them wins, they can choose not to face the WCW World Champion, but chose to face the XCW Champion in the Starrcade XIX main event. Everyone starts chanting XCW when Heyman starts counting heads… he says that there are only 14 of them since Rhino and Dreamer cannot compete, then points out he may have welcomed back a former Champion to the fold, that's when he introduces Steve Corino as the 15th man in the XCW Army. Everyone huddles round him changing XCW as the camera’s cut back to ringside.

Brothers For Flight vs Billy Kidman, Paul London & Brian Kendrick

For weeks and if not months the question hanging over the head of Shane Helms has been where his loyalties lay. Only a few short weeks ago he proved his loyalties were with his former band mates as he turned on his best friend Billy Kidman. Since then the Brothers For Flight as they are now known have gone on the make the lives of Kidman and his new buddies London and Kendrick hell. Only debuting this week, they have been catapulted to their first PPV match alongside Kidman. The match opens up with Helms trying everything to avoid getting in the ring with Helms, only tagging in when London or Kendrick are in the ring, or tagging out as soon as Kidman gets the tag in. Eventually Kidman gets his hands on Helms, but it's short-lived as he barely gets a few punches in before Helms tags out. Kidman is red hot throughout and it's no shocker that he ends up victorious over the trio, pinning Karagias after successfully hitting a Shooting Star Press for the victory. Giving London and Kendrick their first win and a PPV win at that.

Winner: Billy Kidman

Backstage again and we see Eric Bischoff talking with Heyman, Jarrett and Flair. Bischoff says it would be unfair if they didn't at least know the wildcards for tonight's WW3 match, saying that they still have a while to prepare for them. As Bischoff is saying this, he is standing outside of a locker room door. Bischoff says to go in and greet the 15 Wildcards for tonight’s match. In the room are the two new Debut’s London and Kendrick alongside recently released Aguila. The room is also full of multiple tag teams from WCW’s past including the Rock N Roll Express, The Nasty Boys, The Harris brothers and the former New Hardcore Revolution team mates of Crowbar and David Flair. Ric Flair catches eyes with his son who hasn't been seen on WCW TV since before the sale of WCW and it's move to the USA Network. Ric goes to greet his son who holds his arm out to stop him and tells his father that he hasn't forgotten and he hasn't forgiven. The names keep coming as former WCW star La Parka, Dave Taylor and Hogan's personal bodyguard the Disciple are seen getting ready for the big match. The final name walks out of the showers and greets Eric Bischoff, thanking him for the chance tonight, it's none other than former WWF star and Japanese legend Taka Michinoku. Eric Bischoff then ushers them out of the room, telling Flair and Jarrett to go get ready or they will stand no chance before telling Heyman to go pass on the news to his team ECW. Heyman then looks at Bischoff before smirking and muttering that he's not impressed one bit.

Sting is now talking to the camera backstage about tonight's WW3 match. Sting says he is going to walk out the winner, he has no doubt about that, but he is going to make sure we see the last of the Elite Era’s reign with the gold. Sting says that if somehow Steiner makes it out of here tonight still champion, he will make sure and even promises that at WCW Starrcade XIX, he will stop the Elite Era and Scott Steiner's reign of terror over the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

XCW World Championship

Rhino © vs Tommy Dreamer

In a decent match between the two XCW stars, Rhino and Dreamer showcase what it is that Paul Heyman hopes to create. Tommy Dreamer is a firm favourite in the match with multiple Dreamer chants breaking out though the match. It's a close on to call with lots of moments where either man could walk out with the victory. With the match being under XCW rules as the championship is on the line, it's no surprise that under the ring area gets emptied of all it's weapons. The end comes when Dreamer picks up a trashcan to hit Rhino with, but Rhino gets to his feet quicker than Dreamer can turn around and assess his surroundings. Rhino ends up hitting a devastating GORE! To seal the victory and retain the gold.

Gene Okerlund is with Diamond Dallas Page in the interview area backstage where he begins to question DDP on his thoughts about walking out as victor tonight. DDP laughs at Gene for even asking the question. DDP points out that Jarrett hand picked him for the Elite Era Army for tonight, he says that he is the one person Jarrett and the Elite Era have full faith in. Page then turns his attention to Nash and his little followers (Mysterio and Konnan). DDP says he hopes they are all in the ring together at some point tonight, promising to single handedly eliminate them all. DDP then asks Gene who he thinks will win. Before Gene can answer, DDP puts his hand over the microphone and says “It doesn't matter what you think, lace up my boots, carry my bags and maybe then i’ll care what you have to say”. With that DDP walks off and leaves Gene to close up.

World War 3 Match

The long entrances of the 60 competing stars start with those entering ring #1 followed by #2 and #3. Before the bell sounds for the match to begin, ring announcer Dave Penzer reads through the rules.

20 men/women start in each ring

Elimination occurs when thrown over the top rope and both feet hit the floor

When only 20 men/women remain, they must all more to ring #2

The last man/woman left standing in the ring when all other 59 have been eliminated is declared the winner.

Dave Penzer then calls for the match to begin.

Elimination #1: The first elimination comes from Ring #3 as the Disciple is the first man to be eliminated by none other than Chyner.

Elimination #2 and #3: Are from Ring #2 as both Ron and Don Harris are eliminated by Buff and Lex Luger thanks to a double clothesline over the top rope.

Elimination #4: Is from ring #3 as Raven eliminates Robert Morton of the Rock N Roll Express.

Elimination #5: is the first from ring #1 as Paul London is eliminated by Shane Helms, Shannon Moore and Evan Karagias who outnumber him and throw him out unceremoniously.

Elimination #6: Chris Candido is catapulted over the top rope in ring #2 as Jarrett directs traffic and gets Bagwell, Luger and Kanyon to eliminate him.

Elimination #7 and #8: Happens in ring #2 again as Buff Bagwell is boasting in the ring, Road Warrior Hawk rushes him from behind and gets him over the top rope. Seeing what happened, Lex Luger then charges at Hawk, eliminating him from the match and evening the score between the two feuding teams.

Elimination #9: Is in ring #1 as former bitter rivals Rick Steiner and Mark Jindrak square off again in the ring. Rick manags to get Jindrak over the top rope but he holds on. This leaves Steiner to charge at him, in hopes of knocking him off the apron, however Jindrak drops down and lowers the top rope, using Steiners momentum to eliminate himself.

Elimination #10 and #11: Once again in ring #1 Booker T manages to get one half of Kronik, Bryan Clark over the top rope. Holding on outside he tries to fight his way back in when Brian Adams comes to his rescue from behind. Through the brief brawl all 3 men somehow end up on the apron outside when Mark Jindrak and Kevin Nash come to his rescue. Nash boots Adams while Jindrak dropkicks Clark off the apron, eliminating them simultaneously.

Elimination #12: Ring #3 now sees the elimination of Jerry Saggs who gets eliminated by Sting.

Elimination #13, #14 and #15: Shane Helms, Shannon Moore and Evan Karagias once again put their teamwork to the test, eliminating Cash, Ricky Morton and Mikey Whipwreck all in short time.

Elimination #16: Mike Sanders is now eliminated from ring #2 as Steve Corino manages to side step him and send him bumbling over the top rope.

Elimination #17 and #18: Ring #1 again and it's Helms, Moore and Karagias who now eliminate Aguila and La Parka while working together again.

Elimination #19: DDP manages to eliminate Sandman as the DDP hits the Diamond Cutter to Sandman who is on the outside of the ring.

Elimination #20: Kevin Nash shows his size is an advantage in ring #1 as he eliminates Evan Karagias, after flooring both Helms and Moore.

Elimination #21 and #22: Ring #2 Kidman and Kendrick manage to double team XCW Tag Champions Doring and Road Kill enough to get them onto the outside of the apron. From behind Luger and Kanyon try to eliminate all 4, but Kendrik and London manage to get out of the way in time as Luger and Kanyon barge Doring and Roadkill off the apron and to the floor.

Elimination #23: Mark Jindrak is looking strong in ring #1 when all of a sudden XCW’s Shane Douglas comes charging at Jindrak. After a heavy few shorts between the two, Douglas manages to get Jindrak to the outside of the ring. After trading a few more blows, Douglas manages to shock everyone by knocking Jindrak off the apron and eliminating him.

Elimination #24: Again in ring #1 and Rey Mysterio is battling with Shannon Moore. Moore tries to go for a rebound attack off the rope but AJ Styles manages to come from nowhere and mess with the ropes, causing Moore to go tumping over the top and down to the floor outside.

Elimination #25 and #26: In ring #2 and #3 Brian Knobbs and Dave Taylor are simultaneously eliminated by Tony Mamaluke and David Flair.

Elimination #27: Road Warrior Animal is next to face elimination from ring #3 as he falls victim to the powers of the XCW TV champion Mike Awesome who powers him out of the ring.

Elimination #28 and #29: Both Raven and RVD work together as an unlikely team, even as XCW Stars Raven is still seen as the loner in the group. Both men however manage to eliminate Crowbar and Shawn Stasiak from the ring with a cheer from the live crowd.

Elimination #30: Back in ring #1 and Shane Douglas once again looks strong as he manages to eliminate Chuck Palumbo from the ring.

Elimination #31 and #32: Ring #3 and both Taka Michinoku and Guido are eliminated next as Ric Flair and Lance Storm work in sync to save each other and eliminate the two.

Elimination #33 and #34: Now in Ring #3 it's a battle of the women who have looked strong so far in the mass brawl. Chyner and Jazz get in each other's faces and eventually start throwing fists. After a brief battle of the right hands, they work their way to the ropes to try and eliminate each other. That's when Flair and Storm come along and together lift both of them by their legs, eliminating them while they are still locked up in headlocks with each other.

Elimination #35: Sting is on fire in ring #3 and launches a huge attack on Mike Awesome who until this point has been unstoppable. Sting manages to hit a string of moves followed by a stinger splash in the corner. Instead of falling to the mat, Awesome holds himself up with the ropes. Sting see’s this and runs towards him with a clothesline and sends him flying over the top rope.

Elimination #36, #37, #38 and #39: In ring #2 Kidman and Kendrick are recuperating in the corner when Jeff Jarrett, Kanyon, Lex Luger and DDP walk to the centre of the ring where Justin Credible, Tony Mamaluke, Nova and Steve Corino are standing. The Elite Era and XCW have a brief stare down before they face off in a battle of the factions. The mass brawl ends up in the Elite Era standing tall, eliminating them all.

Elimination #40: The final person to be eliminated before everyone is allowed into one ring is Chavo Guerrero who battles with AJ Styles once again. After walking out on their match just a few nights ago, AJ Styles gets his revenge by sending Chavo flying over the top rope and out onto the mat below.

Final 20 http://homeofprowrestling.com/MyTEWDiarys/WCW 2001/Event Graphics/2001 11 World War 3/WCW World War 3 Match p2.jpg

After the first 40 have been eliminated, the remaining 20 stars are forced to finnish the match in the centre ring where all 20 remaining stars will now fight it out until only 1 man is left standing.

Elimination #41, #42 and #43: Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett get face to face immediately and waste no time in brawling with each other in the ring. Both men brawl their way to the ropes and eventually onto the ring apron outside of the ropes. As they both battle there precariously, David Far makes his way towards them. David locks eyes with both as they plead with him. Eventually he shouts some expletives and ends up drop-kicking both of them off the apron and eliminating them both.

With that David Flair taunts them both on the mat outside, forgetting to watch his own back, Sting comes along and throws him out of the ring and to the floor where both Ric and Jarrett landed.

Elimination #44: Kidman and Kendrick work together on beating down Helms. After the hell him and his team have inflicted on them the past week, it's no surprise that they take great pleasure in dumping him over the top rope.

Elimination #45: Kendrick is then the next to suffer the flight over the top rope as RVD sends him flying.

Elimination #46: Booker T and RVD now get into it while in the corner, trading blow after blow, trying to hoist the other over the top rope. As they so do, Sean O’Haire comes and tries to eliminate them both, but ends up getting thrown out by the both of them

Elimination #47: RVD and Booker T were still brawling when Booker went for his leaping side kick. RVD catches him and while he had him up, he runs for the ropes, eliminating him to a huge gasp from the crowd who obviously had Booker T as a firm favourite.

Elimination #48: Billy Kidman is now fighting for his survival in a valiant but doomed effort as Kanyon and Luger work together to eliminate him.

Elimination #49: Being the youngest in the ring, it's no surprise AJ Styles has lasted as long as he did, but his effort fails to pick him up the victory as Shane Douglas puts and end to his dreams of Main Eventing Starrcade by dumping him over the top rope.

Elimination #50: Team WCW has 5 left while team XCW and Elite Era now have 3 each. Before the final 10 are known, one more has to be eliminated and the man who falls at the last hurdle is Lex Luger who falls victim to Kevin Nash and his big boot, launching him off the apron and down to the floor outside.

Elimination #51 and #52: 10 men remain and Nine more must fall as Lance Storm and Shane Douglas take it to the outside apron, kicking at each other's feet to get the elimination. Seeing them battle on the outside, Raven spots them and charges for them, knocking not only Kanyon but his XCW team mate Shane Douglas off the apron and eliminates them both.

Elimination #53: Everyone is now visibly tired in the ring and the match is really beginning to slow the pace. Mysterio who is normally known as a high flyer is on the outside after DDP manages to lift his lighter weight frame over the top rope. Konnan, a close friend of Mysterio tries to come to his aid, running to attack DDP, but DDP manages to step aside as we see Konnan send Mysterio flying off the apron, hitting the guardrail and falls to the floor.

Elimination #54: Following the elimination of Mysterio, Nash and Konnan have words in the ring, which allows DDP enough time to swoop in and throw Konnan out of the ring, leaving Nash looking furious.

Elimination #55 and #56: Nash and DDP then go on a huge brawl with each other, all while Sting manages to eliminate both RVD and Kanyon in one, throwing them both over the top as they were brawling while standing on the second rope of the turnbuckle.

Elimination #57 and #58: Now as the final 4 are left standing, Sting, Nash DDP and Raven start circling each other. Nash and DDP go at it again with each other while Sting and Raven focus on each other. Nash and DDP end up on the outside of the apron after trying multiple times to suplex each other over, failing every time. Raven spots them both on the outside and while Sting is recouping in the corner, he charges at them both, knocking them both off the apron and to the floor, leaving Sting and Raven as the final 2 in the WW3 match and eliminating any chance of an Elite Era vs Elite Era main event for Starrcade XIX.

Final Elimination #59: Following the previous double elimination, Raven and Sting brawl for some time with many near eliminations. It's not until Raven moves out of the way as Sting hits the Stinger splash, sending him over the rope, that we think we have a winner. Sting however manages to hold on and while Raven is unaware he hasn't yet won, Sting regroups on the outside of the apron. Calling for the referee to raise his hand, Raven catches a glimpse of Sting still on the apron, incensed he charges for Sting, trying to knock him off the apron, however Sting drops down, pulling the rope down as Raven goes tumbling over the top rope and hitting the floor hard on the outside. Sting then gets back into the ring as his music begins to play and the ring announcer declares him as the Winner and Challenger for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at WCW Starrcade XIX.

Gene Okerlund is now in the backstage area as he catches Scott Steiner heading to the entrance area with a furious looking Jeff Jarrett and Midajah. Gene goes to ask Steiner how he feels about his match tonight when Jarrett butts in. Jarrett tells Gene to back off and remember who’s his boss around here. Jarrett calls the WW3 match a total joke, saying Bischoff had them (The Elite Era) screwed before the match even started. He then says that he is coming to the ring with Steiner tonight because he just doesn't trust that Bischoff of Flair wont pull another stunt and cost them the greatest Championship reign in history. Jarrett then goes to hand the microphone back to Gene, but as he reaches for it, Jarrett drops it, as he calls for Steiner and Midajah to “Lets go”.

WCW World Heavyweight Championship

Scott Steiner © vs Goldberg

The live crowd is hyped for tonight's main event as the Goldberg chants start to fill out the arena. Steiner makes his way to ringside with Midajah, Jarrett and Chyner who seems to have joined them since the incident with Mean Gene just moments ago. Steiner makes his way to the ring with his Big Gold belt round his waist and is flanked by a mini posse. As Goldbergs music hits, the crowd jump to their feet as we see him sell the big fight feel by doing his long walk from the backstage to the ring. As Goldberg gets to the top of the ramp he is immediately attacked by Buff Bagwell and Lex Luger who blindside him from behind as he walks though his pyro. Luger and Bagwell then give him a brief beat down before hoisting him to his feet and walking him to the ring. The match that then follows is a match where the will and heart of Goldberg is front and centre. He gets lots of chances to fight back and often sends Steiner running from the ring, reeling from a flurry of fists and kicks. Steiner looks great in the match and it's said by commentary multiple times that he really doesn't need the Elite Era to help him win this one. In the end Goldberg is close to victory, having taken out everyone except Midajah at ringside. Goldberg is about to hit the spear when the entire XCW lockerroom hits the ring and attacks Scott Steiner, followed by an attack on Goldberg. The likes of Shane Douglas, RVD, Justin Credible and the F.B.I all create carnage of the main event and leave both the challenger and champion out cold in the ring. Eventually the XCW roster turns its attention to the outside, with Jazz taking out Midajah while the rest of the roster attacks Jarrett, Chyner, Buff and Lex. Eventually the rest of the Elite Era show up on the ramp and chase off the XCW Roster who dissipate through the live crowd. As everyone is still locked up in the drama, Scott Steiner is seen crawling to cover Goldberg as the referee counts the 3 count.

Winner: Scott Steiner

Time: 17:16

After the match the Elite Era members all get into the ring, some of them battered and bruised, but all on their feet. They help raise Steiner to his feet as Jarrett hands him the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. That's when the music hits and the live crowd goes absolutely wild.

Shocker http://homeofprowrestling.com/MyTEWDiarys/WCW 2001/Roster/RosterNEW01/hollywoodhulkhogan.jpg

Out walks Hulk Hogan who stands at the top of the ramp and stares down at the ring and begins to point and shake his finger at the Elite Era in the ring. WCW World War 3 2001 then goes off air with the staredown between Hogan and the Elite Era with American Made playing in the background.

<p>Not been as interactive with this diary as I should be. Great work you're both putting out and that was a great PPV Togg.</p><p>

The WW3 match was fun to read and easy to follow. Nicely done!</p><p> </p><p>

Edit: Apparently typing clumsily on my phone leads to odd emoticons. I swear I'm not angry about that being a good show.</p>

:D :D :D hahaha!!! Thanks for the nice comments though

Only just been getting into the dynasties/diaries here, this one is really well done! Love the multiplayer aspect to it too, makes it harder to go out and steal talent, etc. - great presentation as well! Well done.

Thank you too. Without giving any spoilers, yes. It is VERY hard to steal talent. It can also be hard (expensive) to keep talent :D And you have to weigh up if it's worth it. When a certain guy's contract came up, who I was planning to have win the Royal Rumble, he cost me a FORTUNE (per month) to keep! My god! Crazy money! :D But the entire 2 player concept is so cool. Togg has put a lot of work into that element, and it makes the game/save even cooler than it already is.

Terrible show Togg. I'll be surprised if WCW survives past Christmas at this rate.

I think Lloyd might have to sue WCW for gimmick infringement. DDP's "It doesn't matter mean gene" sounds awfully familiar. Either that or maybe we should give The Rock to Togg so he can raise eyebrows and turn boots sideways! Haha

In all seriousness great show Togg excited for Starrcade

The Return Of Daddy's Little Girl

zGmPYlY.jpgULcM9kZ.jpg2ZF4zqm.jpg

Vince McMahon lead the WWF Champion 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, and 'The American Badass' The Undertaker to the ring to kick us off tonight... Happy in the knowledge that Austin was still the Champ after stopping Triple H... and that Undertaker had defeated The Rock's team, last night at Survivor Series... Two big wins for his 'Three Man Power Trip'... But the grin on Vince's face was soon wiped off, when his Daughter Stephanie McMahon's music hit, and she arrived on the stage... She strolled to the ring to a big cheer!!

o0yUJJg.jpg

Stephanie McMahon:
“Daddy...!! What you did to Hunter was WRONG!! Trying to break his leg like that...”

Vince interrupted his Daughter, and told her to leave the ring because the 'grown-ups' were talking... He tried to usher her out, but she slapped her Father... a move that angered Mr. McMahon... His eyes lit up as if he was on fire from head to toe... He clenched his fists but couldn't hit his own Daughter, in front of thousands in attendance, and millions watching at home...

Stephanie McMahon:
“Daddy...!! I'm in love with Hunter... and you need to accept that... And Undertaker... YOU need to accept, that your Brother KANE... Is going to rip... Your... Head... OFF!!”

A big explosion in each corner of the ring made everyone jump out of their skin... and Kane stomped to the ring for the opening contest of the night... Brother versus Brother as Kane and The Undertaker were all set to do battle 1 on 1...!!

</div>

'The Big Red Machine' Kane [vs] 'The American Badass' The Undertaker

Two big hosses going at it here, as the two Brothers Of Destruction clashed in a clash of the titans. Kane's mask gave him some protection from Undertaker's big right hands to the face, but the big 'American Badass' began to target his ribs instead! Kane couldn't get his wind after repeated blows to the mid-section, and 'Taker' didn't even need any help from Steve Austin and Vince McMahon, who hadn't stayed present at ringside. Undertaker put Kane down with a 'Chokeslam' in the end, but it was a truly excellently structured match!

Angling For Another Match

Kurt Angle:
“Boys... Boys... Boys... Congratulations on winning the Tag Team Titles again!! But as we know... Last week, on Smackdown, I beat Edge here 1 on 1... And I wondered... Does the other half of the Tag Champs want a shot at the greatest professional wrestler... In... The... WORLD!!”

Christian:
“Yeah sure, I'll fight The Rock... Does he know you're making matches for him though?!”

Angle was furious as Edge and Christian laughed... but reminded Christian that if he accepts the challenge, he'll be laughing on the other side of his head... Because Angle's not only going to break his ankle, he's also going to break his jaw!! Christian got serious, but told Angle to watch his words, because he may have to eat them later...

Brown and Richards are both in their early thirties, and both have some great years ahead of them. 'Captain Charisma' Christian w/ Edge [vs] 'The Olympic Gold Medallist' Kurt Angle

Christian gave as good as he got in this one, starting the match with a slap to the former Olympian Angle's face! The two men hurt each other throughout, but Christian was always on the back foot. Angle outworked the 8-time Tag Team Champion though, and soon got on a roll to throw his opponent around the ring. Angle finally won it with the 'Angle Slam', but he hit multiple suplexes that shook Christian's body on every landing.

Chris... Christian... Chris...!!

The music that all Champions fear hearing right now, as 'The Belt Collector' Chris Jericho ran to the ring... He slid under the bottom rope, and went right after Christian... taking him down with a tackle and pummelling him with fists and forearms...

yFRmAoF.jpgNdgx3BJ.jpgs7hB8EQ.jpgP9UDHyr.jpg

However, Jericho seemed to have forgotten about Edge, who slid in behind the Intercontinental Champion, and dragged him off of his partner... Jericho and Angle stood across the ring from Edge, and the recovering Christian... A 2 on 2 fight looked like it was about to kick off, but a familiar entrance music hit... And a man who got himself injured six months ago burst through the curtain to a great ovation!!

jGOQmVs.jpg

Chris Benoit was BACK in the WWF, after a long lay off... and he stomped down the ramp, joining Edge and Christian as they stood across the ring from Angle and Jericho... However, when Benoit helped Christian stay stood up after he dropped to a knee, he hoisted the Tag Champion up for a Snap Suplex!! Edge looked stunned, but he was knocked over by a Chris Jericho running forearm before he could react physically!! Benoit and Jericho put the boots to Edge, and we saw Angle leave the ring without any further altercations from him... Benoit and Jericho didn't need him tonight...

Scotty Too Hotty and Rikishi walked to the ring next... Kishi looking straight ahead as usual, no messing around... while Scotty wasn't his usual excitable self... But he was still animated, just in a more agitated way... Particularly as he handed his friend a microphone...

Rikishi:
“Alright... Brother Grandmaster Sexay... I ain't playin' fool... So get out here, and face Rikishi... and Scotty... and tell us WHY... you left us high, and dry!!”

Rikshi didn't get the answer he was looking for, because Mr. Perfect answered his message... along with his 'muscle' Viscera...

Mr. Perfect:
“Oh you're NOT playing...? The playful, carefree, Samoan Rikshi... is NOT playing... Gahhh, must be serious... But I'll tell you why Grandmaster Sexay left you two idiots... It's because he saw a better way... Sure, he didn't want to be another victim of Senior Benjamin... But he had been planning on going solo for a while... What can I say... Kishi and Scotty weren't happy, so they challenged Perfect and Viscera to a tag team match... Right now!!

Rikishi & Scotty Too Hotty [vs] Mr. Perfect & Viscera

A very even match here for the majority of it, but an interference made the difference. Grandmaster Sexay finally showed up, and his distraction of Scotty allowed Perfect to roll him up for the flash pinfall!

A Perfect Trio?

Wy3DOAe.jpgQVh2lqc.jpgmz3yXBA.jpgQxZ6w6a.jpg3w6xhsc.jpg

Viscera pulled Mr. Perfect out under the bottom rope before Rikishi could get to him, and then he carried Perfect up the ramp... Grandmaster Sexay was already half way up it on his way out of there, but he shook Viscera and Perfect's hands... Almost as if they were all in on the plan all along...

APA To Take The Test

The three members of The APA were sat in their usual spot: the room with no walls but a door, playing poker... They each had multiple empty bottles of beer around them, and Faarooq and Godfather were nursing cigars...

Faarooq:
“DAMN!! That Test... We need to teach him a lesson... On Smackdown, Big Bradshaw... You're gonna fight him 1 on 1, and show him... that you don't mess, with the APA!!”

Hardcore Holly, Dean Malenko & William Regal [vs] The Hardy Boyz & Senior Benjamin w/ Lita

Holly, Malenko and Regal were supposed to compete as part of Team D'Lo Brown at Survivor Series, but the Hardyz, Benjamin and Lita ruined that match before it could begin. This six-man tag was great, with Benjamin shining in the ring. He ended up winning it for his team. The Hardyz flew over the top rope to take out Malenko and Regal with Suicide Dives, Hardcore Holly then couldn't kick out of the 'T-Bone Suplex after a good fight between the two.

Haku And Umaga (What A Wonderful Phrase)

CrRC79J.jpgCYxI74G.jpg

After not being seen since their trip to the Hardy Compound, Haku and Umaga will return to WWF Television this Thursday on Smackdown... Thoughts are, they'll be gunning for Jeff and Matt, as well as Senior Benjamin and Lita...!! They can't be happy with Grandmaster Sexay either, after he left Scotty Too Hotty, and ran into the woods to save himself... Leaving Scotty, D'Lo Brown, Dean Malenko, William Regal and Haku and Umaga one man short...

Spitting Hairs

Jonathan Coachman:
“Kurt, it's great to have you here, but I gotta ask... Is your beef with D'Lo Brown in the past...?? Because he's getting into arguments and fights with all kinds of guys right now... And it kinda feels like you never got to have that one last match...!!”

Angle was about to answer, but he removed a piece of gum he had in his mouth, and threw it over his shoulder...

Kurt Angle:
“Thing is Coach... I'm an Olympic Gold Medallist... I don't need to be just another... one... of... what??”

Coach's face was a picture... He looked like he'd seen a ghost, but that the ghost was wearing a clown costume and dancing... A scared, maybe even mortified look on his face, but with a comedic realisation... Angle slowly turned around, and saw The Big Show... Picking GUM out of his HAIR!!

Show roared at the top of his voice, and spun around to see Angle looking guilty... Kurt took off, throwing Coach in the direction of the Giant... and slowing him down enough to get away from the big man... Big Show was furious, and took it out on Coach with a big right hand that knocked the interviewer out... That'll earn him a hefty fine...

We learned next that on Smackdown, we're going to have a six-way match, for a shot at the Light Heavyweight Title... Crash Holly, Scotty Too Hotty, Spike Dudley, X-Pac, Jerry Lynn and Funaki will compete in what promises to be a fast-paced and exciting match... The winner will face Marty Jannetty for the Title at Armageddon...

The Rock & Triple H [vs] The Dudley Boyz

Amazing Main Event here with the story running throughout it being that The Dudley Boyz wanted to put both The Rock and Triple H through tables! Triple H's previously injured leg stopped his offence from being as effective as it usually is, but 'The Great One' The Rock was fully fit, and fully focused on making sure Bubba and D-Von didn't get to use their trademarked tables. He was all over the Dudleyz after Triple H tagged him in. Things were looking good for the fan favourites, until 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin arrived and changed the match completely. Austin even hit a 'Stunner' on Triple H on the outside of the ring! However, Rocky was on fire, and he managed to bump Bubba off the apron, and onto the WWF World Heavyweight Champion. He then hit a 'Rock Bottom' on D-Von to score the win!

The Great Game

hyjZOXV.jpgfjxn4yW.jpg2ZF4zqm.jpg

The Rock and Triple H stood tall in the ring, as Steve Austin threatened to climb in and fight them both... The Champ thought better of it though, and strolled backwards up the ramp with a nasty scowl/grin on his face... On Smackdown this week, Triple H will fight The Undertaker 1 on 1... despite 'The Game' still struggling with a leg injury... Caused by 'Taker himself...
