I have the 1.00 version. Is there a more updated version? Thanks for all the hard work Mammoth!!!!

No, there isn't another version for TEW20. I'm working on the base for Shifting Sands and releasing that before doing any real updates for either. :)

Thanks man, this is a life saver!

I love this mod so far, very immersive and accurate, but when simming through a few years there was one thing I noticed. In my saves neither Giant Baba nor Antonio Inoki opened their respective companies in 1972. I checked the database and the right boxes seem to be checked. I also simulated a savegame where I manually released them from their contracts before AJPW and NJPW were set to launch as I thought that this might solve the issue - but it didn't.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix that?

There are no ways of "forcing" it as far as I'm aware. As you say, everything is set correctly in the database to try and make it possible (as far as I'm aware) but it's still reliant on the AI which can be hit and miss. I think it's just one of those things that's a roll of the dice essentially.

Make sure that their minimum age to he an owner is set correctly. I think the age that is auto assigned is about 40-45. If they aren't that old they won't become an owner.

Both Antonio Inoki's and Giant Baba's ages are set to allow them to become owners at the right time. :)

How Far Forward does this mod go in time? When should I have new workers gen if at all? I'm looking to play from 1970-2020

I second this question

There are enough future workers to comfortably go from 1970 to the late-80s/early-90s, but there are certainly more to come as I have a list of names that'll be added in future updates. The modification does come with 100 free pictures though so turning on generation is a possibility if you need to.

Promotions, dojos and locations also populate, right up to modern promotions like Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Ring of Honor and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. :)

Nice this is really good to hear. Wish I had my computer but it's being repaired right now so I can't go digging into this quite yet. I like playing these types of mods and running them into modern day and getting my favorites such as punk, ricochet, young bucks, and even mjf to name some. I remember playing this in 16 and getting to the early 2000s in the WWF a few years back. It was a blast! Can't wait to get my hands on this.

Finally got to really dig into this mod. It's fantastic. The attention to detail and the bios are great and the worker stats/attributes look really balanced and fleshed out. Like some others, I'm hoping to go 1970-2020 (I'll probably make it to '75 but it's the dream!). I always run some tests and tweak things to my taste before starting a long-term game, so I figured I would post what I did in case it's helpful for future iterations. Obviously, some of this stuff is how I like things to work, but it might not be for everybody.

BROADCASTERS

Like someone else mentioned, a number of broadcasters have a 0 for minimum regions. I went through and added those in. That does lead to some issues with companies not getting their TV shows renewed because they don't meet the pop standard. Generally, the show rating requirements for terrestrial commercial broadcasters are painfully high (this is a TEW problem; the game is set up in a way that terrestrial commercial are the strictest broadcasters which might be true in the present day but makes it hard to simulate the historic hunger for syndicated/cheap wrestling). I noticed a lot of shows getting canceled in the first year, so I made some tweaks to keep more shows on the air. There are still cancellations, but they're more varied.

  • Got rid of the TV shows for JWA and IWE. Made them tour highlights.
  • Changed pop requirement on JOKR-TV to 40/1.
  • Changed pop requirement on ITV to 60/1.
  • Changed pop requirement on Nine Network to 40/3.
  • Made CJCH-TV wrestling stance Highly Pro.
  • Made KOTV-DT wrestling stance Highly Pro.
  • 50th State on KGMB-TV moved to Afternoon. Made KGMB-TV wrestling stance Highly Pro. Changed KGMB-TV pop requirement to 40/1.
  • All Star Wrestling on CHAN-TV moved to Afternoon. Made CHAN-TV wrestling stance Highly Pro.
  • Big Time Detroit on WXON-TV moved to Late Night. Made WXON-TV wrestling stance Pro.
  • Big Time San Fran on KTXL moved to Afternoon.
  • JCP Championship Wrestling moved to Early Evening. Made WRAL wrestling stance Highly Pro.
  • Olympic TV on KTLA moved to Late Night. Made KTLA wrestling stance Highly Pro.
  • Portland Wrestling on KPTV moved to Late Night. Reduced KPTV's coverage to Medium.
  • WWWF Studio Wrestling on WIIC-TV moved to Afternoon. Made WIIC-TV wrestling stance Highly Pro. Changed WIIC-TV pop requirement to 60/1.
  • Added "All Sports" to the ESPNs in Broadcaster Changes.

SCHEDULING

Most Western companies are set up with a weekly House Show and End of Month show already in the database which I think really works for the era. However, a lot of companies are set up with an "Almost Weekly" schedule. This can lead to the creation of a bunch of random annual shows with names like Overdose or March of Darkness. Not into it. I switched everyone to a "Fixed" schedule to avoid that. This means new companies won't populate their own schedules but as I'm a psycho that micromanages I don't mind jumping in to fix schedules during play. For Japanese companies, with the exception of AJW, I put them on touring schedules rather than Almost Weekly.

  • Added weekly house show for 50th State.
  • Added weekly house show and EoM show for ECWA.
  • Added weekly house show and EoM show for Wrestling Enterprises.
  • Made all weekly house shows 1:30 and gave them Lesser intent.
  • Made all EoM shows 2:30.
  • Deleted weekly house show and EoM for NWE. Tweaked their tour to run 3/June to 2/October (felt like they were running/canceling too many shows).
  • Gave JWA touring schedule of World League (1/Feb - 3/May) and Champion Series (4/August - 2/December).
  • Gave IWE touring schedule of New Year Challenge Series (1/Jan - 3/Jan), World Series (2/March - 2/May), Big Summer Series (1/July - 3/August), Dynamite Series (2/September - 3/October), and Big Winter Series (3/November - 2/December).
  • Gave All Japan touring schedule of New Year Series (1/Jan - 3/Jan), Giant Series (2/Feb - 2/Feb), Champion Carnival (3/March - 4/April), Power Series (2/May - 2/Jun), Summer Action Series (1/Jul - 4/Jul), World Champion Series (3/Aug - 2/Sept), and Giant Series II (2/Oct - 2/Dec).
  • Gave New Japan touring schedule of New Year Dash Series (2/Jan - 3/Feb), Big Fight Series (4/Mar - 4/Apr), Golden Fight Series (1/May - 2/Jun), Summer Big Fight Series (2/Jul - 2/Aug), Toukon Series (1/Sep - 2/Oct), World's Strongest Tag Team (4/Oct - 4/Nov), World Title Challenge (1/Dec - 2/Dec).
  • Took some historic liberties with those touring schedules/names.
  • Moved NJPW open date from August '72 to March.
  • I was able to get NJPW and AJPW to fire by manually firing Baba/Inoki from their contracts in the week before the companies launched. (In one sim, that meant firing Baba from his exclusive contract with WWWF which I was reluctant to do even during testing because of that juicy what-if.)

AJW

I was having a really difficult time getting AJW to even run shows, especially as someone that doesn't want new-gens thus making their Dojo ineffective. There just isn't enough female talent at the outset, but I really want them to stick around until that happens. I decided the best thing to do was fudge things and make some unemployed women available in Japan. Even that didn't really do the trick until I manually hired some of them to AJW. I made the following tweaks:

  • Got rid of AJW's hiring rule.
  • Reduced their popularity to 15 in Kanto and 5 in Kyushu. Capped them at Insignificant. The lower rating makes them more likely to run shows with their small roster. Once they've got going, the user should remove the cap so they can grow.
  • Got rid of their TV show and weekly house show. They successfully run Monthly until they can grow a bit.

FIGUREHEADS

It's been discussed that Mammoth might get rid of these in a future iteration. Some of them do work though! In my tests, these figureheads were always removed instantly at the start:

  • CWF - Eddie Graham
  • AWA -Verne Gagne
  • JCP - Mr. Wrestling
  • JWA - Giant Baba
  • BTW - Fritz Von Erich
  • BTW - Detroit The Sheik
  • TS - Danny Hodge
  • WSS - Dory Funk Jr
  • ASW - Gene Kinski
  • WCW - Spiros Arion
  • 50th State - Ripper Collins
  • Wryton - Les Kellett
  • AJW - Yukiko Tomoe

These figureheads were removed during the first year in about 75% of my tests. Weirdly, it was always ALL of them or NONE of them. Not sure what happened in the sims to make that so.

Stampede Billy Robinson

  • GCW - Dory Funk Jr
  • Relywyskow - Wayne Bridges
  • PNW - Lonnie Mayne
  • MBP - Mike Marino
  • AGPW - Archie Gouldie

The following figureheads were kept on 100% of the time:

  • DM - Jackie Pallo
  • EMLL - El Santo
  • MLW - Whipper Billy Watson
  • PCAC - Ray Stevens
  • WWWF - Bruno

PERSONALITIES

I made a couple personality tweaks mostly based on my own feelings. For what that's worth:

  • Switched Fritz Von Erich from Driven to Prickly.
  • Switched Bruno from Professional to Insecure. There's actually no workers with the Insecure personality in the data and it's a nice mechanic that I think suits Bruno who is happy that he's on top but willing to raise hell if that slips away.
  • Switched Bearcat Williams from Scumbag to Agitator. Scumbag, with its tendency to generate gross/harassing type incidents seemed a bit rough for pioneering Bearcat whose biggest crime was refusing to job. Definitely should be a pain backstage but not a truly awful person.

Whew! That's all for now. Hope this is helpful to someone and thanks for the great mod Mammoth!

This is truly wonderful feedback. Thank you very much. I look forward to digging into this properly once I've completed Shifting Sands. :D

One more thing from me! BOOKING SKILL. The sweet spot for this is 85+ which gives the AI full access to the mega-push feature. I think the mod could stand a few more guys at/around that value. With the starting variance set at Medium (which gives +/- 5 on all stats), you could theoretically set a few bookers around 85 and end up with great game-to-game variation on which territories flourish.

For me personally, I bumped up the following guys: Fritz (87), Watts (89), Barnett (87), Vince (89), Inoki (85), Eddie Graham (85), Stu (82), Dusty (84). Highly subjective, obviously. What I like about this and variance is that Vince, for instance, can be a brilliant booker with a strong variance roll, but with a particularly weak one he could end up lacking the creative spark that inflicts us with Hulkamania.

This is truly amazing!

I'm in love with historic lucha libre and this mod is really full of mexican content and this makes me very happy, many thanks for this Mammoth!

I have only missed two things so far:

http://www.luchawiki.org/index.php?title=Arena_Coliseo_Guadalajara

The Arena Coliseo Guadalajara (Occidente), opened in 1959 and are owned by EMLL.

And this luchador:

http://www.luchawiki.com/index.php/Coloso_Colosetti

Coloso Colosetti, he was the NWA World Light Heavyweight champion at the starting of 1970 and are involved in a important upper midcarder storyline against Ray Mendoza at time.

But again, this is a incredible work, a real handbook of wrestling history!

Thanks for this.

I've been so enamoured with my ongoing CVerse saves that this has completely slipped under my radar.

I enjoyed the heck out of this on 16' so I'll definitely be giving this a spin when I get a chance Mammoth.

Awesome. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. :)

Hey there!

I have been enjoying the mod, but I noticed an error in the Canadian territory scene.

Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling was not founded until 1977, and it was founded by Emile Dupree.

Yvon Robert Jr.'s Grand Prix Wrestling was based out of Montreal, Quebec, and that is the promotion that has been conflated with the Maritimes Atlantic Grand Prix.

They are actually two different promotions. Also, for Atlantic Grand Prix, they would consistently draw crowds of 2000+ (some quite a bit larger, in the 5000+) range, which is remarkable given the population of the Maritimes today is just less than 3 million (between Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island), with New Brunswick having 750,000 people (and probably way less in the 70s).

  • 3 weeks later...

Just copying these private messages/posts from olympia into here because when I get 'round to updating Territory Daze again, it's easier for me to find everything if it's in the topic itself:

first, what a butt ton of work!! You've done an amazing job and I'm appreciative. I'd love to see a diary that uses this mod and maybe if I get active again I'll try one. Looks like several people are using whether there's an active diary or not.

what I did was play a month or 2 for a few different territories trying to get a feel for everything

1) Product types. It seems Classic Sports Entertainment is the go-to for many of them. That may work but a couple notable exceptions - since this type does not allow the territory to hire or use brawlers. Mid-America was built on the brawlers and it's a shame they can't bring in guys like Tojo Yammamoto who was a top star for years. I don't have a suggestion because I haven't quite figured out all the types yet - I mean they are not true hard core like Detroit, but with teams like the wrights you know there will be some brawls.

CWF and maybe STL could be "treat as a real sport" since Eddie put real emphasis on guys who could actually wrestle above anything else.

2) Jackie Fargo came across as a heel (and profile said he was a better heel). He may have been in NY, but in Mid-America he was the top babyface for years. I just assumed he was a face (my fault) when I started and set up a storyline with him against the Greenes and planned to use World Champ Dory Funk as his partner. as it turned out, that was great since he was a heel and he could "turn" on Funk during their tag match without actually turning (booking on the fly haha) - game said his turn was recent and it would be bad to turn him face again so soon so that wasn't an option.

3) for Mid-America, maybe add Whitey Caldwell to their roster. In my games, he always signed with GCW, I know the game won't replicate the fact he hardly ever left East TN but having him on the roster he spent his time with might help.

I ran some tag matches out of history with les Thatcher and different partners against the Wrights (since I couldn't get Whitey)- Les always came out looking lost and overwhelmed by the others. Maybe that's just the game engine and nothing can or should be done, but wondering if a tweak or two to his rating might adjust that.

Talked about the product code for MA - no brawlers and strict heel-face divide (but they love the battle of the brutes and the one storyline preassigned is a feud between 2 heel teams). Again not sure what the correct product type is - I'm thinking maybe Classic Southern Rasslin. it calls for a storytelling and wild brawl on every card which seems more in line.

They get a warning for not having enough stars. I was able to fix the other warning about production levels easy enough - I think that's fine as it forces them to spend a little of Nick's money. But the stars could be a big deal. I read up in the guide and it says you need stars as popular as your promotion is in the area. SO I'm thinking they might need to reduced a little (unless that cripples them in other aspects) and/or increase some of thier stars. Names that came to mind were Bob Armstrong, Johnny Walker aka Mr. Wrestling II, Len Rossi (many time Jr champ and tag champ, possibly Wright). It's hard to balance real life with game engine since a lot of guys were very popular in their home state/territory but not so much the next state over which might be part of the same game area ie Southeast.

Road Agent: Jerry Jarrett was a horrible road agent - the man who was one of the all time great bookers in Memphis bombed in his tries. I'm sure a big part is lack of experience since he's just starting out and he would not be a road agent as a basic rookie anyway - I just tried different things. In your opinion, as he wrestles in the game, would he gain experience and other attributes which then would roll over to making him a better road agent in 5 game years? He's not needed as a road agent now, but just curious how it all works. Along those lines, I know Dr Ken started as ref, but it made me laugh when he popped up as the default to referee the Interns match (what a fun angle for another time)

last thing for them, I moved their weekly house show to Thursday (or at least maybe the month end supershow). Otherwise, they would never get to use their manager Saul Weingeroff or Dory Funk Jr.

4). CWF - the big takeaway was their popularity was growing faster in Mid-Atlantic than in SE. I paid attention and noticed after their show, they got twice as many more TV viewers in Mid-Atlantic too. I know they had a show on late night in Charlotte and also in NYC, but those would not have been seen by more viewers than all the TV they had in Florida. Not sure how to address that within the game - other than possibly lowering the TV size of the Charlotte UHF to tiny and maybe increasing the size of the Florida TV station to simulate the fact that it actually goes to several stations across the state. OH - another mod that I tried has something called "TV Syndicate" - that could allow you to keep the stations as they are, but set up a Florida Syndication network that has a bigger coverage is SE, but as tiny as it gets in Mid-Atlantic and maybe even NY. There could be others that this would work for too (like Mid-America that had coverage in SE KY, SW VA, and even West VA. I remember Ron Fuller saying at one point, they ran from the Gulf Coast to the Great Lakes and could have in prime position to branch out nationally if everything fell in place as so desired.

other territories that might suffer due to lack of stars as popular as the territory in their home are might be GCW and Mid-Atlantic (JCP). I need to test them out next. This might be a new feature with 2020 I don't know - I don't recall it ever coming up before. If so, it could throw a crimp into existing ratings especially popularity that worked just fine in the previous version.

question - does anyone televise the events? I assume keeping with traditional history there are no PPV's although even at that time some major shows were put on Closed Circuit (think Showdown at Shea - Ali vs Inoki). Would be nice if could limit to one show a year until 1980's (like the Season Finale - biggest show of the year.

I'll let you know if I notice anything big from MAC or GCW when I try them.

summary - product types, syndicate tv deals to address crossover appeal due to a one-off station that is bigger than their main broadcast coverage in their main state(s); wrestler popularity in main home territory to ensure each has enough stars - and that their main true stars are reflected as such, and the other misc. stuff

I really enjoyed this mod. I've been dabbling with a couple different territories to get a feel for the new game and the mod. Here are a couple observations/suggestions:

1) The territory popularity seems high compared to the popularity of the wrestlers (one or both might need adjusted). For example, Mid-America keeps getting a warning they don't have enough stars. 65 starting Pop for them might be high since they drew almost 20K for the month end show. I'm sure Nick Gulas would have loved that.

I think I counted 15 total wrestlers with 65 popularity in the SE - I don't know how that compares to other mods, but would expect more wrestlers above the level. And more to point, more wrestlers in each territory that would exceed their starting level (since their main eventers would have been popular in their home state). It's hard to replicate real life with the game engine since most of these territories were very popular in their home area, but not so much in the rest of the region. Think CWF - huge in the state of Florida and a little spillover into Georgia, but no one in TN knew anything about them outside what they'd read in PWI. I think 59 is the level required for Medium, so maybe most should start in the 55-58 range or so.

2) star power - I may be wrong, but I don't think the STAR rating will change over time. It's kind of a preset built in. So a rookie who "has the look" will gain quicker. If that is true, a lot of guys should have a higher Star rating since they were or would become top stars in several territories and hall of fame legends. Some names that jumped out include Bob Armstrong, Mr Wrestling II (Johnny Walker), maybe even the Fullers. Popularity might not be overly high if they are just starting out, but the star power should help them reach their potential.

when you look at the BATTLES tab, most of the territories should have at least 3-4 guys listed in their main home region. (mixture of individuals raised and territory lowered should do the trick - and that might also keep some attendance and financials in check too). Your bigger mainstream territories would have more (like Mid-Atlantic, CWF, St. Louis etc.). I loved my Gulas-Welch and Gulf Coast back in the day, but I don't think they were in the same league (they could have been but as one profile correctly pointed out - Nick was satisfied with "safe" and average shows more than spending money or taking risks. He was a good booker and promoter though and did well with what he had.

3) Individual tweaks - not sure why Jackie Fargo shows only as an amazing heel. He was the top face for Gulas at the time. I can see him being able to do both side of the fence.

Paul Jones - big star in Florida and Mid-Atlantic had a 25 pop in SE, but a 60 in the NW (wonder if those got reversed in error)

Road Agents - how do they gain experience? It seems some of the historic greats start off very poor in this regard (like Jerry Jarrett - who might gain during matches, but what about Crocketts?). I used Jarrett to butcher one match every card just to see if the key "Road Agent" attributes ever increased (in addition to a match) but they never did in the couple months I played each territory.

4) product types for the territories. When I played Mid-America,they are classic sports entertainment which penalizes brawls, and one goal was not being able to hire brawlers (which excludes a lot of their big names - like Tojo, Sputnik, Sonny Fargo. even the Andersons could be banned in Mid-Atlantic/JCP). Classic Southern Wrestling might be a better fit for them (also Gulf Coast). curious if "Wrestling as real sport" might fit CWF since Eddie liked to hire guys with strong amateur backgrounds. Thinking also the Texas territories might use the Wild Wild West (it seems tailor made for them). Just some little tweaks here and there for the places that loved their brawls mixed in.

5) TV shows. a lot of the TV stations require popularity in 0 territories. Allows to spam tv shows all over the country (and make a little money on them. Even if you only get 75 viewers in a graveyard slot, you'd make a little ad money and gain new fans there. Personally, I like it not to be impossible to branch out (reasonable requirements that could be obtained in time) but not this easy. example, I could PR starved for wrestling and their tv might have more lax requirement (like maybe when the spillover reaches 5-10 a small station would pick them up)

CWF was drawing 3x the number of viewers from Mid-Atlantic than they did in Florida. And they were not that far behind JCP in Mid-atlantic viewers (90k to 65k) Something is amiss there (maybe the Charlotte station they're on is too big for the game world). They started as medium because of popularity in Mid-Atlantic which shouldn't be right. (maybe 30 so they can reach it quick enough. Likewise Mid-Atlantic branched into SE, so it can just a tad higher. Most the others stayed mostly at home - although Nick's home area stretched a bunch of states from the Gulf to Great Lakes - running towns in KY, etc.). I like how you gave Mid-Atlantic two TV stations - that helped them especially compared to CWF encroaching on their area. One idea I toyed with that may or may not work is to set up "syndication" stations for the major territories. That could allow to have a nice presence in the home state and a very tiny station to replicate that one-off show they had somewhere else (like CWF's one show in Charlotte and the one in NY - it helped get their wrestlers over there so they could travel up for shows, but didn't really help them that much since they didn't actually book shows there).

6) I love that most the territories I've tried start out level 5 merchandising and can see which wrestlers are selling merch. Sad part is most do not have anyone (or just a couple) that qualify. I don't know the criteria but assume it would require a POP above the territory popularity. example, Jackie Fargo sold $24 the first week in MA, but a terribly booked match or something dropped his pop below 60 and he never sold another dime - and I never could get him to regain any of the lost pop. The Wrestling Bear was my big merchandise star. :-)

7) title requirements - some seem too restrictive. Most single heavyweight titles I've viewed limit to Light Heavy and above. An example I remember was MA's Southern title. That means the guy who the belt more than anyone else for a long time could not challenge for it - Jackie Fargo is a middleweight (which might be the better choice - since a lot of the smaller guys competed for the main titles in the south. In WWWF they favored bigger guys, so I can see a higher restriction there.

oh - and Mighty Igor should be a heavyweight (289 lbs). I laughed out loud when I saw him win the Jr. title. not sure about Waldo Von Erich who also won the NWA Jr title in one.

8) wish list which isn't likely would be historic territory specific arenas at different sizes. Which I was running MA and had to go to Florida for shows since there are no arenas in TN with 5,000 capacity, it made me think. But truly, that's a small price to pay and I can justify it all. So what if Nick ran the Fairgrounds or Hippodrome drawing 2,000 fans every week and the game has him drawing 5K in Florida - in reality, he was running similar shows every night so he would be in front of 5k each week and the MOD gives us that.

I do wonder if a weekly house show and a month end show is too much for of these. One option might be a "city specific" show - add 2 for the major territories and 1 for the smaller ones. Example - Mid-Atlantic might run Greensboro Thursday Week 1. and Raleigh or Charlotte on Monday week 3, plus the monthly show. (reduces the number of house shows by 1). Florida could have Tampa and Miami. Smaller promotion could get 1 house show a month plus the month end. That's still more than most of the other mods would give a territory this size - they get weekly tv and one show a month if I remember correctly. The city named show gives that "realism" no matter where it is actually booked in the game world

could you call the JCP TV show "Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling" even if have to abbreviate. Seeing several with same name "CW" gets confusing. same with studio show but I don't have a suggestion for another name there

I know alot of the things I pointed out or suggested might be necessary or worth doing. Most is a few tweaks and fine-tuning (or correcting some data entry errors). I've really loved playing the different territories and getting a feel for the new TEW using your MOD. I can get lost in here for days and not eat or sleep if I'm not careful lol. thanks for all your hard work of putting this together.

I did some homework after, viewing some other mods like DOTT. In most cases that I looked at, the regional territory average wrestler popularity was higher than the territory itself (which kind of makes sense, unless there was a talent raid). As far as "STAR" ratings, the best of all time hall of fame guys were in the 90's with other world known being in 80's. Your well-travelled regional stars who headlined several territories would be mid-70's to high 80's even as rookies (rest of their stats might reflect their novice experience and will grow, but you knew right away there was something special about this guy). For the 70's mod, this might apply to guys like Bob Armstrong or Johnny "Mr Wrestling II" Walker - they are already making the rounds and doing well at every stop - and will be top of the world in a few years.

Now the established veterans who were on downhill part of their career might have lower star/pop than they did at their prime. There's a few of those 40 year old types in like Georgia I think (I didn't reconize the name when I first saw it, but they are some of the highest guys in GCW.

GCW - has no wrestlers at or above their popularity.

I think the easy fix to lower the territory pops 5-15 pts across the board (50-60 - some even maybe 45). and raise a few local guys in each a few points (Jackie Fargo makes sense to be 65-70+ - and maybe he was before the game kicked him to the curb in first match). That will help make sure each has a few "Merchandise sellers" - which they all did. They all had their own big stars. Right now, only about a dozen in SE above 60 (much less 65 where they are set) so unless you have Danny Hodge turning in a 70 rated match, they will all lose pop. Now if that's the plan and set up that way for them to start the decline, that's fine. You could also preset the territories who survive in real life to have some extra advantages at this stage (like Crocket) while the ones that fall by the wayside early will not (Central States comes to mind - they could start with lot less money for example). Sure they were riding high at the time, but were mismanaged. IN current state, I'd see CWF emerging as the big NWA winner (since they are high in 2 regions and their TV will help them move up in Mid-Atlantic (which didn't really happen). Not sure how the CWF TV Network might work, but at least you can keep them on the one channel in NC, but make it tiny since it didn't have that big of a reach across the entire region. For realism without details, I'd love to see some tiny "local stations" in each region that would be receptive to adding programming once you get to a minimal level there (I was able to watch Memphis, Knoxville, SE, Mid-Atlantic, and Detroit from my house in East TN with the antenna/rabbit ears. Add GCW when cable came in. I like those stations that cross over to multiple territories - that helps some spill over.

If considering lowering territory pops, test out the attendance. Most of these from what I have read might draw 5,000 on good nights (and 10k for a big show). The averages were usually more like 2-3k. Doesn't have to be perfect, but very few shows would draw the 20k I've been getting for the month end shows.

what I did, was click on a territory and just scroll down the pops (and look at the Battles tab). that's how I knew quick the wrestlers were too low and/or territories too high. I don't think every single guy needs adjusted - just focus on a handful at the top and bottom. Road Agents might need a little tweak too - Jerry Jarrett probably had good psychology growing up in the biz and helping since his mom worked the office. Experience will come, but he should have some and also respect since he's paying his dues before his first match. Same for Ron Fuller (son of Buddy, grandson of the Welches)- he'll have a few built in traits from his genes (and has the charisma and tools to make it work in the ring unlike other 2nd gen guys like say Greg Gagne or George Gulas who would have low star ratings, charisma, etc. They might know some basics, but they don't excite anyone/

I've already thanked you privately but I don't mind doing it publicly as well; thanks for all the information and I'll go through it more thoroughly after I've completed updating Shifting Sands. :)

<p>Thank you for this mod and the great work. I've couple of suggestions, almost related to Mexico and EMLL:</p><p> </p><p>

- I suggest to switch the Core and Current product of EMLL to Historic Lucha Libre that I think describes better the product of 1970. Probably also thick "Spinal-impact moves are not allowed".</p><p> </p><p>

- I suggest this addition and changes for EMLL events:</p><p>

</p><ul><li>Juicio Final (Active / Annual / Friday / Week 2 / December / 3 hr / Normal / Season Finale Yes / Year )<br /></li><li>Anniversary Show -> Season Finale No / Rename to Aniversario<br /></li><li>Aniversario de Arena Mexico (Active / Annual / Friday / Week 4 / April / 3 hr / Normal / Season Finale No / Numbered / 14)<br /></li><li>Aniversario de Arena Coliseo (Active / Annual / Friday / Week 1 / April / 3 hr / Normal / Season Finale No / Numbered / 28)<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p>

- I noticed that you included all the Mexican National titles that were active in 1970 with the exclusion of Mexican National featherweight Championship that was promoted not by EMLL but by the Commission. If you want to expand that aspect I suggest adding the title as Mexican National Featherweight (Owned by None / Original Owner None / Alliance None / Active / Singles / Any / Male Only / Maximum Weight Small / tertiary / Prestige 30% / Event - Tour - TV Frequency Not Often / Vacant / Reign began Unknown)</p><p> </p><p>

-I suggest the addition of this Mexican venus to expand that aspect of the database:</p><p>

</p><ul><li>Arena Aficiòn - Centro / Capacity 3500 / Set to Open August 1938)<br /></li><li>Arena Coliseo Guadalajara - Occidente / Capacity 7400 / Owned by EMLL / Set to Open June 1959)<br /></li><li>Arena Coliseo Monterrey - Noreste / Capacity 5500 / set to Open October 1955)<br /></li><li>Arena Naucalpan - Centro / Capacity 2400 / set to Open December 1977)<br /></li><li>Arena Puebla - Centro / Capacity 2100 / Owwned by EMLL / Set to Open July 1953)<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p>

- Coloso Colosetti is missing</p><p> </p><p>

- I suggest the addition of Eddie Palau (Born september 1913 / Debut 1930) and Roberto Rangel (Born May 1928 / Debut 1964) that were two EMLL 1970s referee.</p><p> </p><p>

- Set Kantaro Hoshino active in Mexico (He will work there from february 1970 to april 1970 as Yamamoto)</p><p> </p><p>

- If you are looking for workers to add I suggest Gemelo Diablo I, Gemelo Diablo II, Indio Jeronimo and Ciclon Veloz</p><p> </p><p>

- Finally this a list of luchadora that worked in Mexico in the 1970s, but unfortunately on luchawiki there are only some informations (such as date of birth and debut date). If you want to expand the female presence in the database here are the names: Chela Salazar, Tona la Tapatia, La Jarochita Rivero, Pantera Sureña, India Azteca (Estela Molina), Vicky Williams, Charito Silva, Marina Rey, La Dama Enmascarada, Rosita Williams and La Coreana.</p><p> </p><p>

Again thanks for the hard work you've done with the database. This are only suggestions <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
