After the commentators welcome us to this pivotal moment in the history of TNA, we start the show with
Jeff Jarrett
and
Don Callis
already in the middle of the ring. They’re joined by
Abyss, Diamond, Gilbertti, Swinger, Young and Kash,
the entirety of Team Jarrett introducing us to the broadcast.

Jarrett says that last week, he and Callis took control of TNA when he pinned the former “Director of Authority” but it isn’t the Team Jarrett way to put him out of a job. Watts will go to the bottom rung of the ladder - besides, he’s still proving that he’s more than just his daddy’s son!

Don Callis takes the microphone next and bigs up the organisation. He starts by praising Andrew Thomas for making the right decision for TNA before praising his consultancy and Jarrett’s brilliance for taking TNA from strength to strength. First it was Ultimate-X, then the NWA Championship being back around the waist of the best wrestler in the world where it belongs. And now, he’s welcoming us to iMPACT on ESPN. We have Team Jarrett to thank for all of this and though Don could go on, the sound of bagpipes and the rattling of some drums stop him dead in his tracks…

3CBfPsK.jpg

“That’s Hot Rod! We haven’t seen him in TNA in months!”

Because
Roddy Piper
is here!

He has a microphone in hand and says that he’s had some interesting conversations with the
real
TNA management in the last couple months. Dixie Carter knows a stink when she smells one and that’s why he’s here, to bring back law and order and give the fans what they want!

Double J is not surprised, he built TNA to the force that it is today and it’s classic Piper to try and steal somebody else’s thunder. Why doesn’t Piper learn from Erik Watts’s example? Fall in line with Team Jarrett or he’ll be getting both of his hips replaced courtesy of a Black Hole Slam from “The Monster”! Abyss growls and makes a motion to the camera with both of hands like the snapping of a stick.

But Piper is having none of it, he says that TNA has been reminding him of an old place he used to work at in Atlanta, where a clique of powerful boys in the back always put their best interests before what was good for the rest of the locker room. He’s not going to stand for it, he’s not going to let it happen again and Dixie Carter has appointed him as the TNA Commissioner!

Jarrett and his clan are not pleased but Piper’s music plays him out as Double J remonstrates and Don Callis tells “Hot Rod” that he’ll be hearing from his legal team sooner rather than later.

Standard Singles Match

AJ Styles vs. Kid Kash

Kid Kash stays in the ring for this match as Tenay calls it the perfect match to start the show. It is, as expected, a fast-paced exciting X-Division encounter between two very fine and well seasoned talents. AJ appears to have the edge but Kash uses his experience to good effect, giving Styles a fright when he counters the Styles Clash into an Air Raid Crash for a close near fall.

The most impressive counter comes later on though, as Kash gets AJ up for the Money Maker only for Styles to counter with his signature snapping Hurricanrana. The “PELE!” follows and second time around, Styles does manage to plant Kash with the Clash and win iMPACT’s first ever wrestling match.

Suddenly, we smash cut to a pre-taped promo to hear from
Raven
for the first time since Punk & Dinero planted his head onto a steel chair during NWA: TNA on PPV #76. He’s in a dark outdoor setting, secluded and reclusive, it certainly doesn’t resemble the Tennessee countryside but more the underbelly of a New York borough.

Raven says that he’s been away for a while living in his own head, thinking about where it all went wrong. When The Gathering turned their back on him, he ran headlong into a fight against them with his best friend The Sandman by his side. He underestimated them, Punk & Dinero were stronger and more cunning than he had anticipated. He thought he was showing them the way by pursuing his destiny, he thought he was leading by example. They should have been patient, it didn’t have to go this way.

But what’s done is done and just as he created The Gathering, he can destroy it.
“Punk & Dinero will meet their maker. Quote the Raven, nevermore.

Standard Tag Team Match

America’s Most Wanted (Chris Harris & James Storm) vs. Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger

Tenay reminds us that these two teams have history, having battled several times through July and August 2003. That rivalry was left on sour note for AMW, who lost their NWA World Tag Team Championships to Diamond & Swinger and failed to regain them in the rematch.

It’s the two representatives of Team Jarrett that enjoy the early periods here, both picking up near falls with the Simon Series and the Swing Thing respectively. They keep Chris Harris isolated and set up him for the Problem Solver but as Diamond hoists up the “Wildcat” for the Flapjack, Storm is on hand to deck Swinger and save Harris from the DDT part of the double team move that lost them the titles last year.

After Harris exercises some revenge with the Catatonic on Simon Diamond, it’s the Death Sentence that has Johnny Swinger staring at the lights.

Standard Singles Match

Konnan vs. CM Punk (w/ James Mitchell)

Mike Tenay remarks how surprising it is to see Konnan out on his lonesome for this match and suggests that maybe the problems within the 3Live Kru are worse than we had anticipated. This is a good technical wrestling match with both men coming close with their respective submission finishers. Punk locks in the Anaconda Vice but “K-Dogg” uses his superior weight and momentum and manages to twist out into a pinning combination that forces Punk to let go.

Later, Konnan locks in Tequila Sunrise but Punk fights it enough to get close to the ropes and is given an assist when he’s able to reach onto Mitchell’s outstretched cane and be pulled under the bottom rope to force a rope break of his own.

But that’s as much as Mitchell gets involved because Punk doesn’t need him for the rest of this match. He rattles off a series of moves: the Corner Kick-Bulldog combination, the Pepsi Twist, the Crooked Moonsault and the Welcome to Chicago before the Devil Lock DDT puts Konnan down for a clean three count.

xiIzVUR.jpgotYsMGO.jpg

As Mike Tenay suggests that was a major victory for
CM Punk
,
James Mitchell
joins him in the ring and pushes referee Slick Johnson to one side so he can raise the hand of the victor. He takes the microphone from Jeremy Borash and addresses Raven’s comments made earlier tonight.

Does he seriously think he can destroy this monster he created? Every day, every week, The Gathering continues to grow in strength whilst Raven hides from the inevitable. It’s only a matter of time until he has to come face to face with the demise of his own making, he took Punk & Dinero under his wing and now they have usurped him. When Raven does return, he will find that his ambitions of becoming the World Heavyweight Champion were nothing but pipe dreams and his real destiny is under the boot of his two former students where he belongs.

Before our main event of the evening,
Don West
and
Mike Tenay
announce what’s on tap for next week’s TNA iMPACT!.

In our main event, “The Icon” Sting will make his iMPACT! debut when he takes on Team Jarrett’s Simon Diamond. The Gathering will be in action against Danny Doring & Roadkill and we will crown a Number One Contender for the TNA X-Division Championship when Chris Sabin takes on Elix Skipper.

Standard Singles Match

Ron Killings vs. Jeff Jarrett (w/ Don Callis)

Like a couple of matches tonight, these two competitors have history. It was Ron Killings that held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in 2002 but lost it to Jeff Jarrett when Vince Russo interfered to provide the assist. Tenay says that this is a chance to avenge that defeat and “The Truth” goes a good job early on, catching Jarrett with his signature Leg Lariat and nearly knocking him off with a lovely looking Suplex into a Stunner that he calls Truth or Consequences.

Killings has the better of the majority of this match and Jarrett is unable to handle the impressive arsenal of moves that his opponent possesses. He’s fortunate that Callis is on hand to call for reinforcements...

RosTA5U.jpg

”It’s always the case, he gets in trouble and the stooges come out to rescue him!”

Gilbertti joins Callis at ringside and it’s to Ron Killings’s credit that he carries on as normal, not getting distracted by the presence on the outside. He hits the Truth Conviction and then heads up top for his signature 450 Splash but this is when Callis hops up on the apron to engage referee Rudy Charles’s attention.

With the referee looking the other way, Gilbertti jumps up and shoves Killings off the top rope and down to the floor! “The Truth” crashes and burns but Gilbertti rolls him back in the ring and pretends that he played no part in the unceremonious fall. With Killings on wobbly legs, Jarrett hits The Stroke and snatches the W.

<div style="padding: 20px; border: 2px solid #da251c; margin:15px;background: #dddddd; max-width:100%;";">

ElclwUV.jpgRosTA5U.jpg

As
Jarrett
and
Callis
celebrate petty theft in the ring together,
Gilbertti
joins them. Not content with just winning the match, Jarrett orders Gilbertti to help him bring Killings back to his feet. They’re going to make an example of him but just as Double J has him primed for The Stroke a second time, the lights in the arena dim and some
plays on the P.A...

TI8mDOF.jpg

”Jeff Hardy is on TNA iMPACT!”

At the top of the ramp appears
Jeff Hardy
, who saunters his way out and soaks up the atmosphere. Team Jarrett forget all about Killings and watch as Hardy charges down the ramp and slides into the ring. Callis immediately hits the bricks with Jarrett taking just a single blow before dropping to the deck and escaping under the bottom rope.

Gilbertti tries to put up a fight, kicking Hardy in the gut to set up the Chart Buster but he's shoved to the ropes and turns around into a Twist of Fate! As Hardy ascends towards the top turnbuckle, Callis pulls Gilbertti's leg and with Jarrett's assistance they manage to extricate Glenn from the ring and to the relative safety outside. We'll have to wait for a Swanton Bomb yet.

As Double J backs up the ramp, Jeff Hardy stays in the ring with the final scene on the first ever TNA iMPACT being Hardy’s determined stare directed towards the retreating NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Awesome first Impact! Glad to be right about Jeffrey, he adds another dimension to the main event scene. Punk/Hardy feud got me into wrestling actually, will be interesting to see if they cross each other here ;)

Cheers buddy. :)

He is a real get for me, I kept getting messages during the Weekly PPV about lacking star power. But Hardy joins as "Well Known" and it should be easy to get him up to "Star". :)

These two have met before and this match was much of the same exchange of force and power. Last time, Ekmo won thanks to a distraction from Kid Kash. This time, he didn’t need one. He imposes his superior stature on Don and wins the match thanks to the Wild Monkey Splash.

This is only their second match in TNA but Doring & Roadkill give a good account of themselves here and the match is a stronger one than their debut. The former ECW Tag Team champions get rolling and look to be warming up suitably for The Gathering on Wednesday after they hit the Lancaster Lariat of Lust on David Young.

However, old tensions brew to the surface when commentator Simon Diamond distracts Roadkill pursuing Young on the outside. This leaves Danny Doring as the victim for Gilbertti’s Chart Buster and the “Amish Warrior” can’t get back inside in time to intercept the 3.

He seems to have no idea the vital part that Diamond just played in securing that win for Team Jarrett, or maybe he’s aware and it doesn’t matter to him? But Gilbertti chastises Diamond for losing to America's Most Wanted on the first ever TNA iMPACT! and claims that he and Young would have fared much better. Diamond is lucky he gets a chance against Sting on Wednesday to redeem himself.

TNA iMPACT! #2 Preview

CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Wednesday, Week 2, February 2004

Last week, Jeff Hardy made his debut in TNA Wrestling and immediately made an enemy in the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Jarrett. This week, we hear from the “Charismatic Enigma” himself, what will he have to say?

We will also see the iMPACT! debut of “The Icon” Sting! He battles Simon Diamond in a match arranged by Glenn Gilbertti. Even though GG wants Diamond to prove his credentials to Team Jarrett, one assumes the rest of the group will not be far away from the action in the ring.

In our opening match of the evening, Chris Sabin duels Elix Skipper with the winner facing Christopher Daniels for the TNA X-Division Championship next week. All this and more, from the Jackson Convention Complex in Mississippi, live on ESPN!

Tenay brings up Doring and Roadkill’s defeat on Xplosion, not ideal preparation but they have a point to prove here and provide a good contest for Father Mitchell’s students. They nearly pick up the W in short order, the Lancaster Lariat of Lust having put Dinero down but Punk is on hand to break up the pin. Similarly, Roadkill has to be swift, not exactly something he’s known for, to break up a pin on Doring after a Double DDT from The Gathering.</span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"> </span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';">

This is an even match but the twist in the tale comes when Doring climbs to the top turnbuckle and Roadkill primes Dinero for the Buggy Bang. Punk intercepts, helping Julio out of the Wheelbarrow position. With the referee’s attention diverted by the illegal man, Mitchell clatters Doring across his back with his signature cane! It’s all plain sailing from here and Doring is put down for the three courtesy of the Near Death Experience.</span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';"> </span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Book Antiqua';">

Ah I missed a week of predictions! Great show though - excited to see how you fit Hardy in with the rest of the roster since he seems to fit like a glove.

I guess you trust Jeff to stay clean. Very good show!

Thanks guys. I'm happy that Jeff has landed well with the readers. I try not to hype these things too much, I am relieved it's not wound up like that time Tito Ortiz showed up in TNA and nobody knew he was. :p

Xplosion coming shortly!

TNA iMPACT! #3 Preview

CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Wednesday, Week 3, February 2004

HP0E8ej.jpg

Dutch felt that the first two iMPACT shows had been a success. He was told that TNA could reasonably expect a 0.3 or a 0.4 in the ratings, so the figures landing in the region of 0.6 and 0.7 was like hearing John Denver for the first time. It was music to his ears.

He was still upset about WWE’s hiring spree, he had wanted to do a women’s division and do it right with longer competitive wrestling matches. He had a perfect name for it too, one that would marry the balance between their good looks and their badassery between the ropes. But that had been put on the backburner for now, there were other priorities to attend to.

iNSEqTF.jpg

”Have ‘ya heard the news daddy? Jeff’s gettin’ a divorce.”

Dutch knew that Jeff Jarrett married his high school sweetheart and wondered about the circumstances. He was in love with Jill, at best Dutch hoped that it was amicable and mutual. He was in the process of putting together the show and needed to know what capacity he could count on his Champion for.

”I think he wants to be there to do an angle, team player, if ya will.”

With that news, Dutch crossed out the tag team main event he had planned for the show and tabled in a new one. Poor Jeff, he thought. It was a poorly kept secret that he had been drinking more recently and he hoped the divorce had nothing to do with that at least.

Konnan’s TNA Contract vs. NWA World Tag Team Title Shot

Konnan (w/ BG James) vs. Michael Shane (w/ Shane Douglas)

We start this week's show in the ring, with Konnan putting in a predictably authoritative performance early on. He has both the size and strength edge, the technique advantage and more experience inside the squared circle so this one is definitely a tough ride for the young Michael Shane. On the outside, Douglas keeps approaching BG James but is always noticed and keeps backing away without confrontation. Finally, he senses the perfect opportunity and clobbers BG from behind before dumping him into the steel steps!

Referee Rudy Charles turns his attention towards Douglas on the outside, as does Konnan. But “The Franchise” protests his innocence and when “K-Dogg” does return his attention to Shane, he’s immediately clocked on the jaw with the Superkick! For the second time, Shane covers Konnan and picks up the 1-2-3.

UNqAu9P.jpgWy40bV5.jpg

Typical of The New Franchise, Douglas and Shane are out of there as soon as possible, hopping over the guard rail and up the bleachers to find an alternative exit. In the ring, a weary
BG James
enters and tries to console a dejected and defeated
Konnan.
The two of them exchange a fist bump and embrace in the ring, former NWA Tag Team Champions who have fought by each other’s side for the final time in a TNA ring.

MQpWxGV.jpg

”At least the 3Live Kru can ride off into the sunset together.”

Ron Killings
joins the two of them from the entrance tunnel and at the sight of “The Truth”, BG James wants nothing to do with him and slides away to the corner of the ring. Killings exchanges a fist bump and an embrace of his own with Konnan as “Beware” plays the 3Live Kru out for the last time.

In his office,
Roddy Piper
watches the action and pays tribute to Konnan, calling him a fine wrestler and a great loss to TNA Wrestling. But any opportunity he may have to process what has just happened is interrupted...

LgNP7OO.jpg

Because
Don Callis
knocks then enters immediately. Jarrett’s management consultant asks the Commissioner to renege on last week’s match announcement.

”Jeff Hardy is not a fit opponent for a competitor the calibre of Jeff Jarrett. You know, Double J is a multiple time world champion, why should he have to defend his title against a glorified stuntman? You’re an intelligent man Roddy, you must see the sense here.”

Piper responds that Don and the rest of his team lucked out, Jeff Hardy wasn’t his first choice!

”I tried to get Sting in there, but the NWA wouldn’t let that one happen. Don’t you find that a bit curious Don? Why wouldn’t the NWA want a bonafide superstar like Sting holding their Championship?”

Don tries playing dumb, he says he hasn’t the faintest clue what Piper could be trying to infer. But he needs to tread carefully because Jeff Jarrett is the real boss around here and he’ll send Piper back to whatever hole Dixie Carter dug him up out of. Piper has been nothing but disrespectful since he waltzed in here with his quick tongue and fiery temper. Don insists that Team Jarrett just deal with whoever the NWA put before their champion and maybe they agree with him that nobody wants to see Sting be given a title shot?

At that, Piper scoffs and tells Don Callis that he must love the sound of his own voice but unfortunately for him, “Hot Rod” does not. He’s heard enough, the match next week stands and if Don has a problem with that, well... it’s been a while since Piper got to ball up that fist of his and let loose in the ring and Don Callis has the kind of trap that he wouldn’t mind shutting up for good!

Standard Singles Match

AJ Styles vs. CM Punk (w/ James Mitchell)

Tenay notices that Punk and Mitchell did not look as collected and confident as usual during their entrance. He spots that Mitchell’s gaze keeps wandering from the action in the ring to the entrance tunnel and that, of course, does not help Punk either.

Distracted he may be, Punk gives Styles a competitive contest and this is as good a match as one would expect. The two have good chemistry and mesh well as opponents, leaving Don West to remark that he wouldn’t be surprised if this is the only time they lock horns. But to beat “The Phenomenal One”, you need to bring your best and Styles continues his winning streak after a Pele Kick and the Styles Clash.

As
AJ Styles
celebrates his victory in the ring, both
CM Punk
and
James Mitchell
leave up the ramp, both unimpressed with tonight’s proceedings. But Styles’ theme is cut short and a video appears on the big screen.

txRrIV0.jpg

A video of
Raven!

We can see that this is backstage, the environment reminiscent of the entrance near the parking lot. He addresses CM Punk and James Mitchell, asking them if they’re curious where Julio Dinero is. Did they expect him to be there with them tonight? They must be wondering where he is. Is that why they had such a hard time focusing on AJ Styles?

The camera pans down at this point, showing
Julio Dinero
lying face down between Raven’s legs, a pool of blood having seeped from one side of his skull. Raven brings up that they’ve been asking him to show up for weeks, are they satisfied now he’s here?

”Is this what you wanted? Eye for an eye. His skull for my skull father Mitchell. Quote the Raven.”

As the video concludes suddenly and we return to the arena, an aghast CM Punk and James Mitchell charge through the tunnel but Tenay believes that Raven will surely not be sticking around to face their wrath.

TNA X-Division Championship

Christopher Daniels © vs. Chris Sabin

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, this is a solid and fundamentally sound wrestling match, very evenly matched from the opening bell. Sabin goes for the Sabin Edge, but Daniels fights out with elbows to the neck and shoulder area. He should know how to escape that predicament because he does the move himself, hitting Fall from Grace for a near fall. These two competitors trade their hardest hits, with Daniels getting very close to the 3 thanks to the Last Rites. As an Enzuigiri from Sabin leaves both men flat on the canvas...

fEn8HP4.jpg

… down the ramp comes
Elix Skipper
, the man who believes he’s the rightful #1 Contender.

But he’s only here to observe and surprisingly he doesn’t get involved in the action. That said, Daniels is initially distracted, falling prey to a Sabalizer and Sabin’s signature Hesitation Dropkick. But the “Fallen Angel” bounces back, escaping a Cradle Shock attempt out the back door before Sabin turns into Daniels’s signature STO. The Angels Wings follows and then the B.M.E. seals the deal.

In the interview room,
Scott Hudson
welcomes his guest,
“The Icon” Sting!

The Stinger says he’s still feeling the effects from the ‘Shock Treatment’ he received several weeks ago and last week’s beatdown did little to help matters. He admits he’s not a young man anymore and Abyss is the kind of awesome force that he was better able to handle in his youth. But that just means this isn’t his first rodeo. He’s dealt with big, strong, burly competitors his entire career, he knows that they cannot handle the deep waters like he can.

”Now, I have to thank Jeff Hardy for coming to my aid last week. I wish him the best of luck against Double J next week and I hope he captures that Championship and gives us all an NWA Champion we can be proud of. But my issue is with Abyss! I want The Monster next week! Let’s settle this in the ring, just the two of us. You tried to put me out of commission, let’s see if you can do the same when it’s just me and you in the squared circle tough guy!”

Standard Singles Match

Jeff Hardy vs. Kid Kash

Tenay explains that Kid Kash asked for this match after his fracas with Hardy outside the ring at the conclusion of last week’s show and he takes the fight to the “Enigma” early on, busting out Hardy’s own Whisper in the Wind before picking up a very close near fall with the Dead Level.

Just as soccer matches are sometimes called a game of two halves, this is a match of two halves. Kash dominates the first six minutes and Don West ponders whether Hardy has some ring rust to shake off. But Hardy dominates the last six minutes, finding his groove with his signature double leg drop that always looks like a low blow but somehow isn’t. Then he hits the sitout Jawbreaker and the reverse Enzuigiri. Kash tries to escape to the outside but Hardy pursues, running and diving off the steel guard rail with a clothesline to flatten Kash by the entrance ramp!

Back in the ring, Hardy sets up for the Twist of Fate but Kash shoves him into the ropes and meets him with a kick to the gut of his own to set up the Money Maker. But Hardy swivels out of that and second time around, he plants Kash with the Twist of Fate! From here, we see the Swanton Bomb in a TNA ring for the first time and the pinfall is academic.

TI8mDOF.jpg

As Kid Kash rolls out and departs back up the ramp with referee Andrew Thomas,
Jeff Hardy
celebrates a victory in his in-ring debut, a hard fought win for which he was tested by a formidable opponent. But Tenay reminds us that much bigger challenges are to come if the ‘Enigma’ wants to ascend to the top of TNA Wrestling.

ElclwUV.jpgLgNP7OO.jpg

”Here comes the Chosen One and his favourite stooge!”

But
Jeff Jarrett
comes down to spoil the party, flanked as ever by his management consultant
Don Callis.
Don West is surprised that neither Jarrett or Callis have bought company but Double J is dressed in slacks and a dress shirt, hardly the kind of attire for a Wednesday afternoon brawl. He walks to the ring and gestures to Hardy as though he means no harm; hands in the air and a shake of the head.

Jarrett commands the middle of the ring but Hardy refuses to cede the territory, leading to a staredown between the two. Jarrett mouths off about being the Champion.
”You’re not gonna take ‘ma belt. No way, no how!”
Hardy doesn’t respond but simply stares at the title belt over Jarrett’s shoulder as we go off the air with Mike Tenay hyping next week’s TNA iMPACT! when these two will collide for the most historic championship in all of professional wrestling.

When asked why he was at ringside on Wednesday’s TNA iMPACT!, Elix Skipper explains that he wanted Christopher Daniels to remember that he still owes him a shot at the TNA X-Division Championship. He helped him win it and yet, when he fought Sabin, Daniels just sat there with his headset on entertaining the fools at home whilst Low-Ki took his opportunity away. Although the crowd aren’t greatly invested in this match, there’s little wrong with the performances of the talent involved. Gilbertti & Young are old school in the way they slow down the Maximo brothers, working quick tags and keeping them grounded with holds and slams and strikes to the mid-section.

But commentator Simon Diamond winds up distracting Gilbertti on the outside trying to offer guidance. That leaves Young victim to the Maximo Explosion and it’s that Doomsday Device-Facebuster maneuver that gets the job done for Los Maximos.

They’ve already filled the vacancy, it’s somebody that fans ought to be familiar with and this person is their insurance policy for next week’s title match.

Jerry Lynn vs. Jason Cross

Hudson brings up that Lynn asked for this match after having been impressed with Cross in his match against Skipper two weeks ago. Lynn attempts to subdue his faster, smaller opponent here with the grapples but Cross keeps on squirming away and catching him with high-octane offence. Eventually Lynn catches his game opponent on a Springboard Crossbody and plants him with the TKO before the Cradle Piledriver captures the W.

Ron Killings vs. Joe E. Legend

Aware of ‘The Truth’ and his athletic, dynamic moveset, Legend tries his best to take away Killings’s base by putting a beating on his leg.
Scott D’Amore
comes down to ringside and observes the action. As Hudson and Diamond speculate on why he’s out here, D’Amore watches on as Killings makes his comeback with the Truth or Consequences. Legend lines him up for a cutter but ‘The Truth’ counters with a neckbreaker and then catches his staggering opponent with the Flying Japapeno for the 1-2-3.
