Kevin Owens is seen arriving at the building and he is pissed off to put it mildly. He asks everyone he comes across where Baron Corbin is but nobody has seen him. Owens heads down the hallway screaming Corbin’s name.

The announcers take us to a replay of last week when Baron Corbin interjected himself in the Falls Count Anywhere match between Kevin Owens and Karrion Kross, costing Owens the match. Saxon says it’s no wonder Owens wants revenge for what happened while Graves says Owens brought it on himself by kicking the former King when he was down.

<b>JAXSON RYKER VS ANGEL GARZA</b>

A rematch between these two following the blatant disqualification the last time they squared off. Garza keeps his distance, hitting and running as Ryker stalks him. When Ryker finally grabs Garza, he spends several minutes using hard hitting maneuvers to wear Garza down but he makes a crucial mistake when he tries a knee drop off the second rope which misses the mark. Garza, who had rolled out of the way, bounds off the ropes and drops a leg across the back of Ryker’s neck as he was on all fours. He makes the cover, with the aid of a foot on the ropes for leverage to score the pin.

WINNER BY PINFALL: ANGEL GARZA

Backstage by the curtain, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, dressed in matching attire reminiscent of DX are getting ready for their upcoming match. They get a ‘New Day Rocks” chant going which the crowd picks up before their music hits and they head through the curtain.

<b>THE GRIZZLED YOUNG VETERANS VS THE NEW DAY</b>

A great tag match between these two squads which sees the New Day start hot with quick tags and they spend several minutes wearing Drake down but then Gibson gets the tag and the tempo changes to a slow methodical pace where the New Day are punished and grinded down into the mat. Woods makes the hot tag and seems to be turning the tide but when he hits the ropes Gibson lands a knee in the back unseen by the referee. GYV makes the tag and Drake scoops Woods up in what looks like a tombstone before launching him in the air only for Gibson to hit a double knee (codebreaker). Drake ties up Kofi and Gibson gets the win.

Baron Corbin looks around cautiously and seems relieved when another face comes into view behind him.

“Dog, you sleep in here too?” Corbin deadpans the question and closes the lid on them both.

Sarah Schrieber is with the former Raw Women’s Tag Team Champions, Natalya and Tamina.

“Ladies last week you prevented Alexa Bliss and Carmella from whatever they had planned against Aliyah and Nikki A.S.H. How soon do you think you’ll find yourselves in the ring with the champions?”

Natalya plays it cool but her tone is full of annoyance. “How soon? We should have already gotten our rematch and we should be standing here with our titles around our waists. Alexa and Carmella think they can duck us but sooner or later….”

Tamina grabs the mic. “I’m tired of waiting! At Halloween Havoc your skinny asses belong to us!”

Tamina storms off and even Natalya seems surprised.

Kevin Owens is backstage still looking for Baron Corbin when he almost walks straight into Omos and AJ Styles. Owens looks up at the big man, then back down to AJ.

“I know we’re not exactly best buds but I’ll ask you the same as I’ve asked everyone else. Have you seen Corbin?”

AJ smirks, playfully elbowing his partner. “Omos, look at this. KO needs our help. Well….bud, if I knew where he was, I wouldn’t tell you.”

Owens nods, biting down what he wants to say because he recognizes he’s literally outmanned. “Alright then, well, congratulations on last….oh yea.”

He walks away from them with AJ scowling.

Lee completely mauls Manders in this very short match. Using his combination of size and agility he does whatever he wants when he wants to his opponent until he plants him with the Big Bang (AA + Jackhammer). The three count is elementary.

This man is a multi time champion. This man changed this industry. He’s Mr. Monday Night. He’s the whole F’n show. But ladies and gentlemen, I’m gonna be real with you. This man….is a hasbeen. This man is a sacrificial lamb. This man is going to get hurt real bad by the Almighty in two weeks. Don’t blame us when RVD can’t lift his arms to point his thumbs back at himself. MVP’s eyes widen and he begins taking off his jacket. “You think I can’t go anymore? Maybe I oughta just whip your behind and then there won’t be anything left for the Almighty at Crown Jewel.”

“You know what, that's a great idea! You and me, next week. I could use the warmup.” RVD’s music hits again and he leaves the ring. MVP is irate but Lashley just folds his arms and stares at his challenger.

<b>NAOMI VS PEYTON ROYCE</b>

Naomi, fresh off her crushing, no pun intended, loss to Nia Jax at Extreme Rules steps into the ring with the returning Peyton Royce. The match is even throughout with neither woman being able to put the other away. Naomi hits the Rear View on Royce then signals to the crowd that she’s going to go to the top. Royce begins to get up but then begins tussling with the referee. With his back to Naomi who’s perched on top, neither of them see someone come through the crowd.

Billie Kay hops the barricade and runs up the ringside stairs, shoving Naomi off the top. Peyton springs up and makes the cover.

Backstage, JBL comes across Seth Rollins and stops.

“Seth! Just the man I was looking for. I’ve decided that you have a point and you might very well make a great King here on Raw. But we settle things in the ring here so at Halloween Havoc it’ll be you and King Nakamura in a Royal Ladder match. Good luck.”

JBL walks off and by Rollins’ expression he’s not happy.

CONTENDER’S MATCH

<b>BIG E VS APOLLO CREWS W/COMMANDER AZEEZ</b>

Strength versus strength, these two show their previous rivalry is still alive and well. Azeez plays his role to distract and get in a rand

om strike when he can. Crews seems to be building momentum but Big E feeds off the crowd and makes a comeback, stunning Crews with a series of short clotheslines before picking him up for the Big Ending. Azeez slides into the ring and pulls Crews off Big E’s shoulder and boots him in the face to earn the disqualification.

WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: BIG E

Crews and Azeez lay in the double team post match attack for a few moments until the crowd began to cheer.

Damian Priest runs down to the ring and lays into both men, giving Big E a moment to clear his head and then it’s a four man brawl, ending with Big E and Priest holding the ring. The two share a quick hug as the heels head for the back.

We go to the back where Baron Corbin climbs out of his dumpster hiding spot. He looks around and sees the coast is clear and begins walking away but Kevin Owens appears from behind the dumpster with a pipe similar to the one Corbin hit him with last week. Owens closes the gap and hits Corbin in the back, dropping him to his knees. Owens is a man possessed, wearing Corbin out before standing Corbin up and as he sways, kicking him low and hitting a stunner.

“The next time you think about getting in my business I want you to remember this.”

Owens lightly slaps Corbin’s cheek to make his point and walks away as Corbin rolls over in obvious pain as the show ends.

SmackDown Week 2, October 2021 - Episode #1154

SmackDown opens recapping last week where Roman Reigns banished his cousins, The Uso’s, from the family table before accepting Finn Balor’s challenge for a match at Halloween Havoc. The video then focuses on the video reverting between normal Finn and the Demon and ending with the red smoke filling the ring as Roman realizes he will defend his SmackDown World Championship against The Demon King at Halloween Havoc in just two weeks on Peacock!

SmackDown opens up to Michael Cole and Pat McAfee welcoming us inside the arena here in San Jose but they must inform us about a developing situation. Moments ago just before we came on the air, we learned of an altercation backstage between The Uso’s and SmackDown’s newest star - Drew McIntyre. Let’s go to the footage:

The footage shows Jimmy and Jey Uso with Aluminum Ball Bats beating down Drew who has a cut on his head and is in clear pain. Refs run up to try to break this up, but Roman’s cousins throw the officials off and continue to brutalize Drew who has no choice but to cover up. The melee is broken up when Finn Balor comes charging up and he has a chair and swings at Jey’s head but Jimmy pulls his brother away. The Usos back off smiling as they took out Drew McIntyre and made a statement to their cousin, The Head of the Table.

We then go to Michael Cole and Pat who decry the cowardly and vicious attack by The Uso’s all because they are embarrassed that they lost the SmackDown Tag Team Titles and want Roman to forgive them? This is shocking, disgusting and must be rectified. SmackDown Managing Director Sonya Deville has asked us to go to a commercial and when we return, she will address this brutal attack live - next. Stay with us.

SmackDown returns and we go to the office of SmackDown Managing Director Sonya Deville. She says that she is furious about what just happened and if she finds out that this attack was perpetrated on the orders of Roman Reigns, there will be hell to pay for the SmackDown World Champion. Sonya tells us that Drew has been taken to a local medical facility and that effective immediately, The Usos are sus….Finn Balor rushes into her office and says “no, don’t give them the easy way out. I want Jey Uso tonight - let me beat a lesson into them.” Sonya says that is not a bad idea. And she bars Jimmy Uso from ringside as the match is made. In our main event, Jey Uso will go one-on-one with Finn Balor.

<b>WAR RAIDERS VS ARI STERLING & NATHAN FRAZER</b>

As the participants come out - it is confirmed that at Halloween Havoc War Raiders will challenge Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship!

This match is a domination effort by War Raiders as they easily throw their opponents around the ring and send a message that they are ready for the tag titles. After toying with their opponents and in a rough tryout match for the NXT and NXT UK competitors,, Fallout is delivered as War Raiders continue to conquer.

SmackDown returns to a commercial for WWE Halloween Havoc - the scariest and goriest night of the year where a Demon King will rise as Finn Balor challenges Roman Reigns for the SmackDown World Title. Halloween Havoc is live two weeks from Sunday and only on Peacock.

<b>SHELTON BENJAMIN VS JEFF HARDY</b>

Shelton and Jeff have a terrific match that is far more scientific than one would expect. Both men focus on submission holds with Shelton focusing on Jeff’s knee and leg with a series leg locks but Hardy digits back and works with a Camel Clutch of his own that nearly gets a submission. Shelton then takes control and scores several near falls including with a Death Valley Driver from the Top Rope that gets several replays, but Jeff’s heart is too big as he kicks out. Shelton tries to stop Jeff’s comeback with a Superkick but Jeff catches it, twists Shelton around into the Twist of Fate before hitting the Swanton for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: JEFF HARDY

Well, everyone knows what the past is. Everyone knows about Jeff’s struggles with addiction. That isn’t a secret and Jeff is not embarrassed by it either. Jeff Hardy is a success story not because of addiction, but because of resilience over it. Because it isn’t about how many damn times you get knocked down, it’s always about how many times you get back up. And whether it was an opponent that knocked down Jeff Hardy or whether it was Jeff himself, the measure of this man is that Jeff Hardy ALWAYS gets his ass up. And at Halloween Havoc, Adam Cole may beat him around this ring. Adam Cole may mock his addictions. Adam Cole may sneak attack or try to injure the Charismatic Enigma but the one thing that Adam Cole will have to do to keep Jeff Hardy down is the one thing that Adam Cole doesn’t have the balls to do…..”Adam, to beat me at Halloween Havoc - you’re going to have to kill me.” Jeff drops the mic and it is clear that him and Adam Cole in two weeks is going to be a war.

We go to a special look at a video of SmackDown Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler. The video shows her MMA background as well as the destruction she caused during NXT and on Raw. At the end of the video, Shayna is in a dark room and says that Toni Storm is next on her hit list. And that the “cute little girl” will be her plaything at Halloween Havoc.

Niven also debuts a Vader Bomb from the 2nd rope but refuses to go for the pin before hitting the Avalanche (World's Strongest Slam) for the emphatic 3 count.’

Early in the match, Cesaro easily handles the Modern Day Maharaja and the match looks to be an easy defense for the US champ until Shanky gets onto the apron to distract Cesaro and that allows Jinder to nail the champ from behind. Jinder then begins to work on the champ’s back and shows the fire and skill that made him a former WWE Champion with clubbing blows and some punishing suplexes. Jinder goes for the Khallas Slam and nails it. Cover

…..kick out just before 3. Jinder goes for the pin again but Cesaro kicks out with more force this time and begins his comeback. The two trade blows and score some near falls before Cesaro goes for the European Uppercut and hits it. The champ covers but Jinder’s leg is on the ropes and it breaks the count. Jinder goes for another Khallas Slam but Cesaro trips his leg, does the Big Swing with 10 rotations and then nails the Neutralizer for the 1...2...3.

The two friends are a united front, but how long can this good vibe last when United States gold is up for grabs at Halloween Havoc?

And the Head of the Table wishes Mr. McIntyre the speediest of recoveries. But what can be said is that the reigning, defending, undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World, Roman Reigns is very interested in what happens in just a few moments. Perhaps Main Event Jey will redeem himself in the eyes of his Tribal Chief. The opportunity to shine lies before Jey Uso here tonight and Roman Reigns will be watching.

We are told that in addition to Toni Storm in action next week, the SmackDown Tag Team Champions Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher will sit down with Michael Cole for an interview about their road to SmackDown gold and we expect a medical update on Drew McIntyre. But it is main event time, so let’s go to the ring.

As soon as the match starts, Finn is on Jey as revenge for what he and his brother did to Drew McIntyre earlier on. Balor shows some brutality as he throws Jey to the floor and slams Jey’s chest hard against the ring barrier. Back in the ring, Balor delivers some vicious kicks and thrusts and then drops Jey on his head with a German Suplex for a two count.

But when Balor goes for the Coup De Gras, Jey crotches him in the corner and climbs up top and delivers a top rope Frankensteiner. From there, Main Event Jey starts dominating the match and using the ropes for leverage when he applies holds and goes for pinfalls, but Balor will not give in. When Jey goes for a clothesline, Balor ducks it and bounces off the ropes and drop kicks Jey into a corner. Balor charges and nails a back elbow into the head of Jey and then The Slingblade out of the corner. Cover

Uso kicks out. Balor goes to pick Jey up but he rolls Balor up and hooks the ropes with his leg but the ref sees and won’t make the count. Balor charges again but Jey nails a Superkick and goes up top and nails the Superfly Splash. Cover 1….2…..Balor is out in the last possible moment.

Jey goes for a Powerbomb but Balor holds onto Jey’s head and brings Jey down face first into the mat. Finn goes up top and finally nails Coup De Gras!

Balor fights Jimmy off and launches Jimmy from the ring and then ducks under a punch from Jey and backdrops Jey over the ropes who lands onto his brother on the floor. Jimmy and Jey back off while Finn dares them to come back in for more. Eventually The Uso’s retreat to lick their wounds.

Finn’s music plays and he celebrates to the crowd to close the ni…..

Out of nowhere Roman Reigns is in the ring and has nailed Balor with a Spear. Roman must’ve come through the crowd when everyone was focused on the Uso’s. The SmackDown World Champion stares down at Balor who is writhing in pain before raising his title high as SmackDown goes off the air.

He barely finishes speaking before Priest says yes. Crews did not expect such a quick reply but now he’s stuck and he and Azeez head to the ring.

The match goes back and forth for the first half with neither man getting a long term advantage. When they begin fighting outside Azeez seeks to help his man but when he shoves Priest into the barricade the referee has a choice to make. He decides to eject him from ringside. Crews is furious but he can't do anything about it. Priest regroups and the two continue to fight in the ring until Crews goes for a top rope moonsault and Priest puts his knees up. Tired and staggered, Crews is ripe for the picking and Priest hits the Reckoning for the win

Dana is full of optimism as the bell rings and then Charlotte kicks it right out of her when she nearly decapitates her with a running boot. Charlotte’s whole demeanor is a mixture of annoyance and rage as she dominates her former protege. Dana may in fact be the stronger woman but she never gets to show it and once Flair begins working on her left leg we can all see what’s coming. Brooke gets put in the Figure Eight and it’s all over very quickly.

Titus is a big strong guy and he’s able to match Kross in power early on, but he can’t match his opponent in pure ruthlessness. Kross’ ability to harness his seemingly unending internal hatred allows him to overwhelm Titus and once Kross has the advantage he does not give it back. He sizes up O’Neil before hitting his Saito Slam, followed by a running forearm to the back of the head. With Titus not knowing where he is, Kross locks in the Kross Jacket and Titus is forced to submit.

I mean I don’t know what else I can do to Baron Corbin that God already hasn’t done but I will promise you one thing. I will enjoy it because Baron Corbin is completely unlikeable and for every terrible thing he did to people over the course of his WWE career I will gladly pay him back punch by punch, kick by kick, and of course with a stunner!”

Owens climbs the ropes as his fans cheer him but he doesn’t see who is coming from behind.

Karrion Kross catches Owens from behind while he’s on the second rope and delivers a scary looking Saito Slam. Owens looks like he lands on his head and he lays motionless in the ring as Kross gets down and talks trash to him but we can’t hear what he’s saying as officials hit the ring.

Typical six person tag match. The heels keep Nikki in their corner and work her over for several minutes while Aliyah and Ember try to get into the ring. Eventually Ember gets the hot tag and begins taking over the match, even stunning Nia with a flying forearm which knocks her off the apron. Aaliyah makes a tag in and seems to have things going her way until a returning Nai gets a blind tag from Peyton and enters the ring and completely crushes Aliyah. With the IIconics taking care of the other 2 competitors, Jax hits the Nia Bomb in the corner on Aliyah for the win.

WINNERS BY PINFALL: NIA JAX AND THE IICONICS

We cut to the back where we find AJ Styles and Omos brawling with the Street Profits. Even if Dawkins is rarely the smaller man in a fight he holds his own with Omos and gives as good as he gets as AJ and Ford send each other over a table. Omos begins to get the upper hand when suddenly two chairs crack him across the back.

The Grizzled Young Veterans hit him several more times until the Colossus drops to his knees. They then turn on Dawkins and by the time AJ and Ford see their partners are under attack it’s two late. Soon Gibson and Drake are the only ones standing. Pleased with themselves, they walk off leaving all four men behind.

JBL nods solemnly and leaves the room.

We see MVP in his full ring gear attire headed to the ring. He looks focused and very self assured.

<b>MVP VS ROB VAN DAM</b>

MVP tries to get the jump on Van Dam before the bell but it doesn’t go to plan. RVD catches him with a spinning heel kick and doesn’t slow down, hitting MVP from all angles with a flurry of offense. The crowd’s ‘you still got it’ chant is well deserved as RVD hits a series of familiar moves and a few new ones. MVP finally rolls out of the ring and throws up his hands intent on walking out but RVD follows him and throws him back into the ring. RVD is about to climb back in when……..

Bobby Lashley runs down and blasts RVD from behind and the referee immediately calls for the bell. Lashley isn’t done as he hoists Van Dam on his shoulders and runs at the post, smacking RVD’s head off it before rolling him back into the ring.

WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: ROB VAN DAM

RVD is helpless and MVP makes sure to get in his face and trash talk about the upcoming title match. Finally Lashley throws RVD down to the mat and raises his arms to the jeers of the crowd as the show ends.

But eventually Ciampa rebounds and starts laying in stiff shots to Dolph/s back including body slamming Dolph on the ring steps. Before long Ciampa is going for Project Ciampa. Ciampa nails it but this brings in Roode who attacks Ciampa and then Thatcher is in and both teams brawl causing the ref to do a double disqualification.

Tonight in the main event, Finn Balor & Drew McIntyre will take on The Uso’s! Don’t go anywhere SmackDown is coming back after this time out.

SmackDown returns and Michael Cole is in the trainer's room with the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher. Cole points out that this was supposed to be when he conducted a sit down interview with the champs, but the Dirty Dawgs attacked instead and laid bare a challenge for Halloween Havoc. Ciampa and Thatcher say that they do not need any heart to heart talking about their road to this moment, the world knows their story. They are badass fighters and if War Raiders want these belts? If Ziggler and Roode want these belts? Fine, whatever. They will own their asses. Sonya Deville...make the damned match. Cole then pitches us to a video package looking at the destruction of Piper Niven.

After months of being cannon fodder, we finally see an aggressive and mean side of Sami Zayn who just starts beating down Tozawa in a pretty dominant win. There are a few hope spots but soon Tozawa is felled by the Helluva Kick and Sami picks up an emphatic victory.

She says that there have been two challenges made tonight and she is here to rule on them and make an announcement for the SmackDown World Title match at Halloween Havoc. Since Drew McIntyre and Finn Balor have accepted, the match with the Uso’s is official. And since Ciampa and Thatcher want it, they shall have it: at Halloween Havoc it will be War Raiders vs the Dirty Dawgs vs Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. And here is the new announcement for Halloween Havoc - since The Bloodline likes to interfere in Roman Reigns’ matches all the time, when Roman Reigns defends his SmackDown World Title against Finn Balor he will do so with Drew McIntyre in the corner of Balor to even the odds against whatever Roman and Heyman come up with. Now, ladies and gentlemen I give you….Lita.

But more than that, Cole could not resist the opportunity to come out here and talk to Lita because perhaps no one in the world has more history with the fossil that Adam Cole put out of SmackDown, Edge and with the one that Adam Cole will put down at Halloween Havoc...Jeff Hardy.

Adam then says that there is a question that he has been dying to ask forever...and with no judgment of course...but it is well documented that Lita and Edge got, ummm, let’s say “Rated R” together. And Lita betrayed her ex boyfriend to get “Rated R” with that ex boyfriend’s best friend in Edge. That’s documented. And, again no judgment, but is there possibly more?

“I mean for years before there was Edge and Lita, there was Team Xtreme. Just how literal did you take that “Xtreme” tagline? You and Jeff were pretty darn close - in fact you sided with him when he fought his brother - and Jeffrey was known to party and, let’s be honest, so were you….so, Lita come on, tell us all…...did ya let Jeff bang you too?”

Lita looks stunned and embarrassed and Cole says that it is 2021 and everyone can do their own thing and no one judges anymore. Come on, just tell us all. Lita walks up to Cole who has a giant smirk on his face and Lita decks Cole in his chin. Cole responds with a look that says thank you and then he grabs her by the hair and shoves Lita hard to the mat. Cole goes and gets ready to do the running knee when the crowd explodes….

Jeff Hardy runs down and into the ring looking ready for war. Cole sees him coming and bails from the ring and jumps into the crowd, sprinting to the entrance set. Jeff goes back into the ring to check on Lita, glaring death stares at Cole who is laughing at the entrance. Pat says that it is a fair question, Michael Cole is pissed and warns Pat not to feed into that. We’ll be right back.

Ricochet and Cesaro work nearly seamlessly and clearly on the same page as they fight off the more experienced team of Mahal and Shanky. But Jinder leads his team back in it and dominates a large portion of the match as he and shanky keep Ricochet from his partner. Cesaro breaks up a pin after Khallahs and Shanky misses a splash that allows Ricochet to tag his partner. Cesaro cleans house and soon drops Shanky with the Neutralizer for the 3 count.

Liv hits the ObLIVion on Storm for a near fall and that’s the end of Morgan’s rise as she is soon nailed with Storm Zero as Toni Storm picks up the win.

This is a wild brawl that the ref has a hard time keeping together. At one point Drew sends Jimmy Uso flying over the announce table and nearly right into Roman Reigns. After a bit, things settle down and the USO’s take control and nearly score a pinfall on Balor. Once Balor tags in Drew, the intensity picks up again with near falls before devolving into another brawl.

The finish comes when Balor and Drew put Jey Uso over the ropes to the floor and Balor nails Coup De Gras on Jimmy. Heyman gets on the ring apron distracting the ref as Roman slides in with the SmackDown belt prepping to nail Balor. Roman charges….but Finn turns around and ducks. Roman falls forward and into a CLAYMORE by Drew McIntyre. Roman rolls to the floor and is out. Heyman goes and checks on his chief while Drew nails another Claymore this time to Jimmy. Balor covers...1….2...3.

The two each have opposite ends of the SmackDown title and glance down at the belt and then at each other before looking down on the floor at Roman Reigns who has started to regain consciousness and sees what has happened. Drew McIntyre is in the corner of Finn Balor at Halloween Havoc but it is clear that his heart is with that SmackDown World Title. Can Balor fully trust his friend?

AJ and Omos appear to be in some danger of losing their titles as the Street Profits keep AJ away from his partner and keep working him over but when Omos pulls down the top rope and Angelo Dawkins tumbles out, it allows for AJ to make the tag and from there it’s all Omos as the Colossus dominates both Dawkins and Ford, finally ending the match with a crushing chokeslam to Ford.

LUCHA HOUSE PARTY VS ALPHA ACADEMY

This is a match featuring both high flying and ground control wrestling. Unfortunately for Lucha House Party when the Alpha Academy finally seizes control they don’t give it back and the match ends with newly named ‘Alphalanche’ with Otis again using Earthquake’s old finishing move on Lince Dorado.

CHARLOTTE FLAIR AND NIA JAX VS EMBER MOON AND NIKKI A.S.H.

While Ember and Nikki show good teamwork it’s the opposite for their opponents. There is obvious tension between Nia and Charlotte which plays out from double teams to tags where they are trying to outdo each other. This only helps Ember and Nikki through the early going but that ends when Charlotte shows how dominant she can be and refuses to tag Nia in. With Nikki all but done for, Charlotte dusts her hands off and leaves the ring. Nia looks furious as the referee counts to ten as she urges him to stop. When the bell rings,and Ember and Nikki are named winners by countout. Nia gives chase to the back to presumably find Charlotte.

DAMIAN PRIEST AND THE NEW DAY VS APOLLO CREWS AND THE GRIZZLED YOUNG VETERANS

All six men go all out in an attempt to steal the show and the crowd eats it up. Both sides get equal amounts of offense and several close falls until Kofi and Woods hit matching cross body blocks which send themselves and the Grizzled Young Veterans over the top rope. Priest takes the opportunity and hits the Reckoning on Crews for the win.

ANGEL GARZA VS MANSOOR

It goes without saying that Mansoor is the heavy if not absolute crowd favorite. They are desperate for him to make a comeback as Garza controls most of the match but when he does turn the tide the stadium nearly explodes and it continues as Monsoor gets the victory with a small package roll up.

There was a lot of hype going into this match with the returning hall of famer seeking his former glory. That sort of scene is often seen in boxing or MMA and like those two sports the usual outcome in this was quick and brutal. After about thirty seconds of a flurry of offense from RVD Lashley destroys him with a short arm clothesline. RVD looks stunned and when he gets to his feet on wobbly legs Lashley almost breaks him in half with a spear. With MVP looking pompous assured on the outside, Lashley locks in the Hurt Lock and RVD submits, the entire match lasting just over three minutes.

MVP drops the mic literally and figuratively as he and Lashley leave the ring.

A fair amount of high flying from both of these competitors and Garza is rocked half way through the match with a missile dropkick but unfortunately for Metalik, Garza rolls out of the ring with the impact. Once the action gets back in the ring Metalik goes for the dropkick again but Garza crotches him on the turnbuckles, then hits a beautiful fisherman suplex from the second rope for the win.

“Charlotte, I don’t put anyone in title pictures. YOU put yourself in the title picture. So if you want to wear the RAW Women’s Championship around your waist again? My suggestion is, get yourself in the damn title picture.”

He closes the door, although not slamming it in her face. She turns like she has something else to say but stops and forms a calculating expression on her face. She gives a slight nod and walks off.

Ember shakes her head and takes a few steps when Nia closes the gap and blasts her from behind. Nia delivers some heavy stomps before picking Ember up and slamming her into a nearby wall. Finally she body slams her through a cosmetic table.

Nia looks down at Ember. “Have it your way, bitch.” Nia walks off muttering to herself that she tried to warn her.

Mansoor appears to maybe have some blood in his mouth but it’s a very quick shot before the camera cuts away. The Alpha Academy leaves the ring to a chorus of boos as medical staff rush past them to attend to Mansoor.

But you are not...limitless. I, on the other hand, certainly am. So to be polite about it, you can get in the back of the line because you are looking at the next Intercontinental Champion.

Crews is not happy about this development as he and Azeez both attack Lee who ducks an attempted double clothesline and floors them both with one of his. They roll out of the ring as Lee stands tall.

<b>NATALYA W/TAMINA VS ALEXA BLISS W/CARMELLA</b>

An even match with both women getting in large amounts of offense. While Natalya is always the more focused and technical, Bliss showed a real aggressive side but when she goes for Twisted Bliss, Natalya rolls out of the way and Alexa eats nothing but the mat. Natalya pushes herself to get to her feet and applies the Sharpshooter for the win.

A great match between these three in which everyone was the victim of a double team effort eventually. All the partners have been supposedly banned from ringside but when James Drake makes his way down the aisle, Angelo Dawkins runs after him and they begin brawling in the aisle. Gibson rolls out to help his partner. This keeps the referee’s attention, and he doesn’t see the Colossus Omos enter ringside by the time keeper’s seat. Ford sees him though and he goes to the top, flying with a cross body block but Omos catches him and rams him into the ring post several times before rolling him back in. AJ screams for the referee and makes the cover while Omos lays down to avoid being seen.

AJ doesn’t have much time to celebrate because the Grizzled Young Veterans have disposed of Dawkins thanks to a double suplex into the barrier and they hit the ring, blindsiding Styles before hitting their finisher on him. Omos tries to get back into the ring but when he steps over the ropes, they crotch him. The big man is stunned just long enough to receive two superkicks which send him toppling to the ringside floor. Finally they turn on Ford who is still mostly helpless and they deliver their finisher on him as well. Gibson and Drake stand tall, both with one finger in the air.

Backstage Karrion Kross and Scarlett enter JBL’s office but Kross stops cold when he sees Kevin Owens is already in there. JBL stands, pointing his finger at Kross.

“Don’t even think about it. I called you both here because this blood feud between the two of you needs to be settled and it will be at Halloween Havoc. I am a man who believes in the old ways of dirt, blood, spit, and sweat determining who stands and who falls so for the two of you, we’re gonna go old school!”

JBL walks something which is hidden by a black tarp and when he pulls the tarp off, it’s a large wheel with various match types listed such as Hell in a Cell, Tables match, TLC, Lumberjack, and even an Inferno match. JBL stares at them both.

“This Sunday, we spin the wheel and make the deal!”

Owens nods with a faint grin but even the normally stoic Kross smiles at the opportunity for mass carnage. JBL spins the wheel and as it begins to slow down the show goes to black.

Later tonight, the Head of the Table will be here to close out the show and give his final thoughts before this epic encounter this Sunday on Peacock. Also tonight Adam Cole is in action just two days before his fight with Jeff Hardy and in our featured contest, Robert Roode, Ivar and Timothy Thatcher will collide in a Triple Threat Match before the 3 teams square off for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles this Sunday. Ricochet is also in action here tonight but lets kick things off with Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre against Jinder Mahal!

SmackDown returns and we see Drew McIntyre in his locker room beginning to come down from his match. Finn Balor walks in and gives an icy stare to his friend. Drew stands up and Finn looks at Drew and points out that they both held the World Title last week on SmackDown. Now Drew McIntyre is in Balor’s corner this Sunday and Finn has to know, man to man...can he count on Drew to have his back? Drew says that he has not hidden his intent to challenge Finn or Roman for that belt. But they go back years and Finn knows that if Drew wants to put you down, he will do it to your face. This Sunday, Drew McIntyre will keep The Bloodline at bay and when Finn Balor becomes the World Champion...Drew McIntyre will be waiting for the first shot. Finn says that is good enough for him and the two fist bump. Their union is strong and that means big problems for the SmackDown World Champion this Sunday on Peacock!

<b>PIPER NIVEN VS SHOTZI BLACKHART</b>

Shotzi tries to slam Piper who just laughs off that attempt before clubbing Blackhart in the back with a powerful fist. From there Niven tosses Shotzi around like a ragdoll, but Shotzi does show heart as she kicks out of two pinfall attempts before being hit with a Vader Bomb and then the Avalanche for the pinfall.

The video ends with Ripley looking into the camera and smiles before saying “Piper, I’ll see you next week.” Rhea Ripley is making her debut on SmackDown next week and she is going to confront the monster Piper Niven!!

SmackDown returns with commotion in the backstage area. SmackDown Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler has attacked Toni Storm who is down on the ground with Shayna holding a Kendo Stick. Officials rush in to separate the two but Baszler goes to nail Toni again. Storm kicks Shayna in the knee and rips the stick out of her hands and starts whacking away at the champion with the weapon. Shayna eventually hightails it out of the area with Toni demanding for her opponent on Sunday to come back and fight. There will be no more sneak attacks or running away this Sunday at Halloween Havoc.

<b>ADAM COLE VS DREW GULAK</b>

Cole and Gulak have a terrific back and forth scientific match that eventually devolves into a brawl on the floor as tensions rise. Gulak drops Cole on the back of his neck with a TBone Suplex on the floor before throwing Adam Cole in for a failed pinfall attempt. Cole nails a Brainbuster and the Ushi Garoshi for a close two count. Eventually Cole nails the Panama Sunrise and the running knee to the back of Gulak’s head for the pinfall.

After the match, Adam Cole gets on the mic and runs down Jeff Hardy and that “skank” Lita for both of their past transgressions. Cole makes fun of Hardy’s drug and alcohol habit yet again but Jeff Hardy comes out to the stage with a microphone of his own. He mockingly claps for Cole because Cole has managed to make things personal and play mind games which is what Jeff Hardy is good at doing himself. What people around WWE don’t know is that there is a dark and twisted mind that lies inside of Jeff Hardy - it is not all colorful face paint and death defying moves.

Jeff Hardy can be a disturbed human being when pushed to the limit and watching Adam Cole attack his friends and mock a painful time in Jeff’s past is right up to that limit. But instead of attacking Cole right here and right now and ending this, Jeff says that he is going to wait until this Sunday because just a few moments ago Sonya Deville made their match at Halloween Havoc - No Disqualification. In two days, Adam Cole will find out just how twisted Jeff Hardy is and pay the price. Hardy flips off Adam Cole who looks nervous as SmackDown goes to commercial.

Kayla Braxton is right outside the locker room for The Bloodline and Paul Heyman is standing by with her. Kayla tries to get the skinny on what Roman is going to say tonight, but Paul will not give her that information. Instead Paul says that tonight a statement will be made about Halloween Havoc by the Tribal Chief that will leave no doubt about the confidence level that Roman Reigns is feeling ahead of their match this Sunday. Heyman starts to go back into the locker room but Kayla asks him how he and Roman feel about the prospect of Drew McIntyre getting his hands on anyone in the Bloodline on Sunday...including Paul? Heyman just glares at her and says “I hate you” before walking into the locker room and slamming the door. Roman Reigns to address the SmackDown audience later tonight.

<b>RICOCHET VS BRIAN KENDRICK</b>

Kendrick and Ricochet leave an aerial assault on each other as they both trade high impact and high flying moves. This match goes through a commercial break and is a highlight for Kendrick who nearly wins after hitting a version of a Swanton Bomb onto Ricochet. From there, the match becomes more physical with stiff shots by Ricochet that open up bruises on Kendrick’s chest. When Brian goes for Sliced Bread #2, Ricochet holds onto the ropes and Kendrick crashes hard to the mat. Ricochet climbs to the top and nails the 630 for the pinfall.

Cesaro will defend his US Title against Ricochet this Sunday at Halloween Havoc.

Early on this is a freefall as each man tries to score and each shows promise. But then Ivar shows that he easily outweighs each man and begins to dominate this match. Ivar throws his body at Thatcher like a cannonball and swats away Roode when he bounces off the ropes. Ivar throws Roode to the floor and goes to powerbomb Thatcher but Timothy locks the big man into Hells Gate, before Ivar could surrender, Roode flies off with a splash on Thatcher. From there Thatcher and Roode trade moves and near falls before Ivar returns and the two smaller men have to double team the big man to get him down, eventually taking Ivar out with a Double Powerbomb through the SmackDown announce table. From there Thatcher almost beats Roode with a Piledriver but Roode survives and then catches Thatcher with a Glorious DDT out of nowhere and covers….1….2….Ivar tries to slide in but is too slow...3.

WINNER BY PINFALL: ROBERT ROODE

Roman comes out to the ring looking full of confidence as he enters the ring and soaks in the moment. Paul bows to his Tribal Chief and hands a microphone to Roman.

Roman says that everyone is hyped for The Chief vs The King. Everyone believes that somehow, some way, Finn Balor is the one that can topple this empire that has dominated SmackDown for the last Fourteen months. Everyone in the crowd are going to tune in this Sunday to see the shining moment that they have all been waiting for...the crowning of a new era. And Roman is a giving man, so he is not going to make everyone wait for this fight because the SmackDown Championship match will promptly kick off the pay-per-view.

But heed this warning, for anyone that tunes into Halloween Havoc expecting the crowning of The Demon King Finn Balor atop the SmackDown throne...they are going to be disappointed. The truth is that Roman wants to kick off Halloween Havoc not to give back something to the disrespectful fans that refuse to acknowledge the Head of the Table...but to prove a point. Roman wants the entire world watching, focused and awake at the beginning of the night to see exactly what the baddest man in professional wrestling does to the little cosplayer Finn Balor.

Because that is all Finn Balor is….a cartoon character coming to life. A little anime dweeb that thinks that since it is Halloween, he will put on spooky makeup and that is supposed to somehow intimidate the SmackDown World Champion? Nah, bro - The Tribal Chief is what cartoon characters are afraid of and in two days, Roman Reigns will expose Finn Balor as the fra….

The lights go out in the arena and a heartbeat can be heard. Red lights fill the ring area and red smoke begins to project all over ringside and the stage. Heyman bails from the ring as Roman looks to the stage prepared for the attack. The World Champion doesn’t see….

Finn Balor rises up from the smoke in full Demon King war paint and costuming. Heyman is screaming as the Demon King is right behind the champion and then Roman turns around right into Sling Blade by Balor. Roman gets up and is kicked hard into the chest which causes the champion to fall into the turnbuckles and crash to the mat. The Demon King rises to the top rope and flies off with Coup De Gras onto the chest of The Head of the Table.

With Roman down, Balor grabs the SmackDown World Title and climbs the ropes. The Challenger raises himself up to the top rope and proudly displays the SmackDown Title in the air - a final message has been sent. The biggest threat to the Roman Empire is indeed here. Who will be the World Champion in two days? We will see you this Sunday at Halloween Havoc.

Cesaro starts using his size advantage and power to slam Ricochet around and work's in grounding the high flier, but when Cesaro decides to take a leap, Ricochet jumps to the top rope and does a Hurricanrana from the top onto Cesaro. From Ricochet turns it into an aerial showcase and nearly wins the US Title with a Shooting Star Press until Cesaro fights back. After some near falls from both men, Cesaro goes for the Neutralizer but Ricochet backdrops the Swiss Superman and both men struggle to get control of the match. Cesaro charges the corner but Ricochet moves and Cesaro crashes chest first into the corner and drops - winded. Ricochet goes up for the 630 but Cesaro stands up and delivers a European Uppercut as Ricochet tries to adjust in midair. The champ covers...1...2...3.

<b>THE GRIZZLED YOUNG VETERANS VS THE STREET PROFITS VS AJ STYLES AND OMOS_</b>

Each team gets solid minutes of holding the advantage but it slides towards the champions when Omos gets in and begins to dominate. It takes a combination of both the Grizzled Young Veterans and Street Profits to hit him with a quadruple dropkick which sends him stumbling back and falling, getting his arms tied up in the ropes. Ford, who is technically the legal man rains down right hands before running to the other side of the ring where James Drake makes a blind tag. As Ford was running, AJ Styles made his own tag and he hops onto the top rope and hits Phenomenal Forearm on Ford as he comes off the ropes, ending him rolling to the outside. But Styles is unaware of Drake who blindsides him and as Dawkins checks on his partner, the Veterans hit their finisher on Styles. Omos, still tied up is helpless to stop the three count.

Halloween Havoc opens up with the WWE copyright and then we go directly into the area and see the old school WCW Style Halloween Havoc set. Michael Cole and Pat McAfee welcome us to the most horrific night of the year - Halloween Havoc. We are live from the sold out State Farm Arena in the home of the old WCW - Atlanta, GA and SmackDown is kicking off the show because the SmackDown World Championship match is right...now.

The SmackDown World Champion Roman Reigns, comes out first flanked by his trusted adviser and “wise one” Paul Heyman. Cole and Pat inform us that traditionally the world champion comes out last, but Reigns demanded that the show kick off with all eyes on his grand entrance. And grand it is as Reigns takes his good, sweet time getting to the ring and when he raises his belt in the air, the entire set area explodes in pyro. Roman is amped up and ready for the Demon King.

Balor comes out in his Demon King entrance and once Balor has made it to the ring, Drew McIntyre comes down and allows Balor to finish his entrance before taking his side of the ringside area and points directly at Heyman who is scared to death. Roman just looks unbothered at Drew or at Balor’s fantastic entrance. They are both announced, the bell sounds and the SmackDown World Title Match is ready to kick off Halloween Havoc!

As soon as the match begins, Roman does the Superman punch that drops the Demon. Roman goes for the cover…

Finn is out and does an immediate Kip Up which makes Roman actually bail from the ring. Balor throws Roman into the crowd and the two battle through the stands. At one point Balor drops Roman with a backdrop on the floor and then goes to an upper deck platform and flies off with a crossbody on Roman.

They battle back into the ring and Roman drops Balor with a stiff Lariat. After some back and forth, Balor goes to go up top but Heyman grabs his leg. Drew chases Heyman away who runs for his life but this lets Roman start to take over.

Reigns takes delight as he slams Balor all over the place. Roman throws Balor into a corner and just clubs away at Balor before dropping Balor with a Powerbomb. The champ covers 1….2… kick out by Balor. Balor starts to come back but that ends when Roman nails the Superman again.

Balor kicks out yet again and starts to come back once more and drop kicks Roman who bounces backward into the referee. The red bumps to the floor as Balor goes up top. Balor goes for Coup De Gras and flies off but Roman moves out of the way and Balor wrenches his knee…SPEAR!!! Roman hit his finish but the ref is down. Roman goes for his belt but Drew prevents it and chases Roman into the ring. The champion backpedals and begs for mercy while Drew, full of hot rage, charges for the Claymore….Roman moves out of the way and Balor is nailed. Drew can’t believe the he hit his friend. The ref recovers and gets back into the ring and orders Drew out. Roman is in the corner and runs out as Finn is standing up….SPEAR. 1…2…3.

Winner by pinfall and still SmackDown World Champion: Roman Reigns

After his win, Roman Reigns and Heyman quickly escape the ringside area. McIntyre looks heartbroken as he realizes that his attempt to stop interference led to Reigns winning. Drew goes into the ring to check on his friend while Roman puts his title in the air victorious once again.

Natalya and Tamina are on a mission to regain their titles and for the first half of the match Bliss and Carmella pay the price as they’re used and abused. The tide turns when Carmella makes a blind tag and chop blocks Natalya. The champions work her over for several minutes but Tamina keeps making the save on any pinfall attempts. Tamina makes a blind tag just before Natalya hits a flying forearm on Bliss. Tamina climbs to the top but when Natalya tries to whip Carmella into the ropes it’s reversed and Natalya hits the ropes, inadvertently crotching Tamina on the top. Carmella uses Natalya’s momentum to throw her over the opposite top rope by the hair and then she and Bliss work together to hit a double superplex on Tamina. Bliss makes the cover and Natalya is just a moment too late to break up the pinfall.

Natalya is still on her knees and looks despondent, having been so close to regaining their titles. Tamina comes over and picks her up by the arm and gives her a hug but when they separate, Tamina pulls Natalya in for a short arm clothesline. She then picks Natalya up, delivering a samoan drop before climbing to the top and stopping to look at the audience who is booing her and just smiles and nods before soaring off with a superfly splash. She rolls out of the ring as the referee tends to Natalya and the boos continue.

Shayna is arrogant at the beginning of this match and that almost costs her as Toni quick rolls Baszler and nearly gets the pinfall. Storm has the champion on her heels as she uses quick offense and keeps Baszler from grabbing hold of Toni. Toni goes up top and flies off with a Molly Go around for a close two count. Storm clips Shayna’s knee and locks in a Texas Cloverleaf but Shayna gets to the ropes. From there Baszler pancakes Toni face first into a Turnbuckle pad and that changes things dramatically as the champion begins to suplex and slam Toni around the ring. Baszler goes for the Kirifuda but Toni gets out of it, spins Baszler around - STORM ZERO! Toni hit her move….1…2….Shayna Baszler barely kicks out! Toni goes for Storm Zero again but Shayna turns it around and locks in the Kirifuda Clutch!!! The champion has Toni in the center of the ring and Toni tries to hold on but she can’t and taps out.

WINNER BY SUBMISSION AND STILL SMACKDOWN WOMEN’S CHAMPION: SHAYNA BASZLER

After the match, the announcers put over just how close Toni Storm came to a pinfall and replay how after hitting Storm Zero, Toni was exhausted and crawled to Baszler who then grabbed her into the Kirifuda. Shayna Baszler is lucky to have escaped SmackDown Women’s Champion.

ROYAL LADDER MATCH

<b>SETH ROLLINS VS KING NAKAMURA W/RICK BOOGS</b>

Once Boogs plays Nakamura to the ring, Rollins makes his entrance and then the fight is on. Rollins takes the early advantage and quickly brings a ladder into the ring to capture the crown which hangs above the ring. He only makes it up a few rungs of the ladder before Nakamura catches him and yanks him down. They brawl around the ring before tumbling to the outside. Nakamura hits a series of kicks and whips Rollins into the steps. Now it’s his turn to climb and Nakamura makes it more than half way before Rollins desperately grabs his foot and pulls him down.

Rollins hits a clear low blow to regain the advantage and rams Shinsuke’s head off the ladder, then grabs his dazed opponent and nails a Falcon Arrow. Rollins’ eyes show his mind quickly thinking of how to put his opponent down. He rolls to the outside and pulls a table from under the ring and sets it up. He then slides back into the ring and slides the ladder closer to the ropes. FInally he picks up Nakamura and begins essentially helping Shinsuke climb. Nakamura isn’t sure where he is and out of instinct climbs while Rollins scurries up the other side and when they both reach the top, Rollins hits Nakamura with a stinging right hand before getting him in position for what appears to be a suplex off the ladder to the outside and through the table but Rick Boogs has seen enough!

Boogs gets up on the apron behind Rollins and smashes his electric guitar up into his back. Rollins lets go of Nakamura as he screams out in pain. The scream seems to wake Nakamura up and seeing what’s happening he grabs Rollins hair with his left hand and delivers a big right hand, then another, and finally as Rollins barely still has a foot on the rung, a big third punch which sends Rollins falling to the outside and crashing through the table he himself set up.

Nakamura looks around and sees his prize. He climbs down and repositions the ladder before climbing and claiming his crown.

WINNER AND STILL KING OF RAW: KING NAKAMURA

As the crowd cheers, King Nakamura sits atop the ladder and places his crown on his head. We catch a shot of Seth Rollins apparently just waking up on the outside of the ring and he looks shocked at having lost.

<b>THE DIRTY DAWGS VS WAR RAIDERS VS TOMMASO CIAMPA AND TIMOTHY THATCHER © </b>

When this match gets underway, War Raiders clean house and really dominate both teams for a large early portion of the match. The other two teams have to start working together and dispatch Ivar and separate Erik from his partner. The Dawgs take Erik and use double team moves but the Raider keeps kicking out. When Dolph nails the Zig Zag, it is Thatcher and Ciampa that rush in and breaks the pin. From there the Dogs and the champs start fighting like crazy and trade near falls until War Raiders are back to full strength and clean house. War Raiders set up Roode for Fallout and nail it! But Dolph and Thatcher both charge Ivar and Erik and take them out of the ring. This leaves Ciampa alone with Roode and Tommaso nails Project Ciampa for the 1...2….3.

After their win, the champs celebrate before War Raiders rush back into the ring. They get in Ciampa & Thatcher’s face pointing out that the champs did not beat the original challengers. The Dirty Dawgs attempt to attack both but War Raiders lay out Dolph and Roode pretty convincingly while the champs leave the ring. It is clear that War Raiders and Ciampa/Thatcher are not yet done with each other.

Backstage Bobby Lashley and MVP are walking along in conversation when they stop. As the camera pans over we see why.

Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman stand there and an uncomfortable silent staredown commences. Finally they slowly begin to walk past each other, both of them giving a slight nod and calling the other ‘champ.’ As they part, it’s MVP and Heyman who lock eyes the longest until both pairings are on their own way..

<b>EMBER MOON VS NIA JAX © </b>

Ember starts off strong, stunning Nia with a series of quick but powerful hit and run attacks. This works great until Nia catches her by the hair and drops her with a thudding forearm. Nia looks angry and she begins punishing Ember with powermoves but refusing to go for the pin. She belittles Ember telling her this is her own fault and she warned her. Nia comes close to a disqualification several times but always breaks her illegal attack at the four and a half mark.

Ember looks exhausted but she begins pulling herself up and even Nia looks surprised that she still has fight in her. The crowd begins to buzz and soon we see why.

Charlotte Flair has run down to ringside and slid into the ring. While Nia’s eyes are on Ember Charlotte closes the gap and boots Nia in the side of the head causing an immediate disqualification.

WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: NIA JAX

As the ring announcer tells us about the blatant disqualification Ember Moon looks pissed off while Nia is just standing there in shock from the attack. Meanwhile Charlotte rolls out of the ring with a big smirk while telling both women no one is winning her title but her!

A hype video for Adam Cole vs Jeff Hardy airs. The video focuses on Adam Cole’s arrival to SmackDown on the 9/11 episode from MSG and his destruction of Edge. And then Jeff Hardy’s arrival to avenge his longtime friend and the increasingly disgusting and abhorrent actions from Cole ever since that day. The video focuses on Hardy’s past substance abuse with Jeff admitting that he is an addict and now his addiction is ending Adam Cole’s career. Adam Cole vs Jeff Hardy - the SmackDown Halloween Havoc main event is next!

<b>ADAM COLE VS JEFF HARDY - NO DISQUALIFICATION</b>

Jeff and Cole go face to face to start this match and Cole smirks while saying "how's Lita?". This enrages Jeff who decks Cole and then goes for a choke and slams Adam Cole's head on the mat. Cole tries to hook the ropes but the ref points out that it is No DQ, so Cole yanks on the ropes and propels Jeff through them and he lands face first on the floor.

On the floor Adam Cole grabs a chair and tries to beam Jeff but Hardy ducks and grabs the chair and slams AC's throat on it. Hardy starts to whack away on Cole's back with the chair and then leans Adam against a ring post and charges - Cole moves out of the way and Hardy hits face first into the post which busts Jeff open. Adam throws Hardy onto the announce table, sending everyone running.

The two brawl up the aisle and to the set where Hardy gets control and sets Adam Cole up on a table in the graveyard set. Hardy climbs a scaffold and leaps off with a Swanton Bomb sending Cole through the table and wiping both men out. Sonya Deville runs out with officials who start trying to help both men and looks like this match is over.

But Jeff punches a doctor and grabs Cole and slams him into the stretcher that was brought out. Hardy drags Cole to the ring area and grabs a Kendo Stick and hits Cole hard in the forehead, splitting AC's head open. Hardy roles Cole in but Cole kicks the ropes as Hardy goes in and then does a knee to the face. From there AC has a chair and nails Hardy in the back of the head. Jeff is out on his feet and eats a Superkick. Cole goes for the killshot and runs to deliver the knee, but Jeff ducks. TWIST OF FATE. Jeff covers....1......2.....Adam Cole kicks out.

Jeff goes up top for the Swanton Bomb but Cole throws a chair at Hardy's head causing Jeff to crumble to the mat. Cole does the Panama Sunrise and then the running knee and that is finally the kill shot. 1....2....3. Adam Cole barely survives a war.

<b>KEVIN OWENS VS KARRION KROSS W/SCARLETT</b>

The bad blood between these two explodes as soon as the cage door gets locked and they tear into one another, both of them using the cage to their advantage by ramming the other man face first into it. Owens holds the momentum and hits some of his usual offense including a senton and cannonball in the corner but Kross kicks out. Owens goes to the top but Kross hits the rope causing Owens to crotch himself. Kross then lays in hard looking chops before hitting a superplex but Owens kicks out at two.

Kross looks to Scarlett who begins looking under the ring and she pulls out a kendo stick, quickly shoving it through the chain link. Kross takes the stick and begins wearing it out on Owen’s back. Kross goes for a pin and Owens kicks out again, causing Kross to shout a very non-PG expletive. He looks to Scarlett again and she pulls out another kendo stick but when she slides it through to him she pushes a little too hard and the stick partially goes between Kross’ legs. Owens grabs the end closest to him and brings it up with fury, dropping Kross to his knees. Owens, bleeding from his forehead, pulls himself to his feet and whacks Kross in the back of the head with the stick. He then breaks it over Kross’ back after a flurry of strikes.

Kross is visibly shaking from the pain before Owens picks him up and delivers a pop-up powerbomb. Kross is flat on his back and Owens appears ready to pin him but he stops and wags his finger then points to the top of the cage. KO climbs the ropes and then the cage itself until he’s doing a great Superfly Snuka impersonation. Owens soars into the air but at the last second Kross rolls out of the way and Owens hits nothing but mat. Owens convulses for a moment as Kross drags himself to his feet. Using pure strength and determination Kross picks up Owens’ dead weight and delivers a Saito Slam before locking on the Kross Jacket. Owens is virtually unconscious and as the referee continues to check on him, KO lightly taps Kross’s arm before passing out.

They look to be checking over a list of potential team picks and Lashley is giving directions of who to scratch off which MVP does immediately. It looks like the World Champion is closing in on who he wants.

We’re shown a vignette of Baron Corbin who hasn’t been seen since Crown Jewel apparently because he didn't have the money to fly home. He’s sitting on the curb at the airport when a man who looks like a rich sheik strikes up a conversation with him. Corbin tells him of his problems of recent months and the man tells him that he will bless him so that he may bless others. The man claps his hands and a servant hands Corbin a pouch before the men walk by. Corbin opens the pouch and his eyes go wide. He pulls out a handful of cash.

“I’m rich….I’m rich!” He keeps repeating as he runs into the airport and the doors close behind him.

Truth jumps Truth as he’s making his “What’s Up?” entrance and it goes downhill from there for him. Kross pummels him with a renewed sense of cruelty on the heels of his cage match the night before. Truth does get in a spinning heel kick which stuns Kross for a moment but when Truth goes back to that well it’s dry and Kross hits a viscous looking Saito Slam. He lines up Truth for a running forearm to the back of the head and then locks in the Kross Jacket for an easy submission.

Ember charges Charlotte and tackles her, throwing right hands until Nia grabs Ember by the hair and flings her away. Charlotte gets up and blasts Nia in the back with a forearm and Nia responds with a headbutt. Ember runs back into the fray and jumps on Nia’s back as referee’s hit the ring to break up the brawl.

An even if unspectacular match. Titus shows that even at his age he’s still an incredible athlete but Ryker seems grittier than usual with a forty yard stare at times. When Titus misses a splash in the corner, Ryker shows his own power by hitting a sitdown chokeslam Graves refers to as ‘No Remorse’.

Ryker snaps the moment he’s touched and levels the referee with a clothesline before he applies a chokehold. Officials rush down to help their colleague and Ryker eventually breaks it with the long stare still in his eyes.

Backstage Big E is pacing before he turns to face the camera.

“Big man, hang back tonight.” Omos looks confused but AJ pats him on the arm and heads out alone. When the door shuts, Omos' confusion turns to a scowl.

<b>AJ STYLES VS SHINSUKE NAKAMURA W/RICK BOOGS</b>

These two clash as good as they ever did in Japan. The match is full of start and stop action with neither man getting a clear cut advantage over the other. They almost show a begrudging respect but AJ has to resort to a dirty trick by mule kicking Nakamura low behind the referee’s back. He tries several pin attempts over the next few minutes as he keeps his advantage on the King but Nakamura battles back. He bludgeons Styles with blistering strong style strikes. Styles can’t get away from him and fleeing to the outside doesn’t help. They use the announcer’s table, the ring steps and anything else with a lot of referee’s discretion involved to let them fight it out. Finally when they return to the ring Nakamura goes for another strike but Styles pulls the referee in front and Nakamura stops himself half way. Styles takes advantage with a blatant eye poke which he’s admonished for but then a kick to the stomach sets up a Styles Clash for the win.

AJ seems both flattered and self assured. He shakes hands with Lashley and MVP and is then handed a red Raw t shirt. He holds it up as the announcers are very excited about this addition to the team as the show comes to an end.

Michael Cole and Pat McAfee welcome us to Friday Night SmackDown presented by Progressive. We are five nights removed from Halloween Havoc and are on the road to Survivor Series. As presented on Sunday, the main event of Survivor Series will be a traditional 5-on-5 match between the Raw and SmackDown franchises with the winning team getting the prize of their franchise being Night 2 of Wrestlemania this April in Dallas…..

The SmackDown World Champion comes out gloating about his victory last Sunday. He is flanked by Paul Heyman and his cousins, The Uso’s. Roman says that last Sunday at Halloween Havoc he demanded that his match kick off the show and demanded that the Tribal Chief came out first because the whole world needed to see exactly what Roman Reigns did to Finn Balor.

It is astounding that after this last year there are still people that will not acknowledge the Head of the Table...so let last Sunday end all doubt. Finn Balor is a great competitor and he is a great athlete and even during his Halloween costume phase of his character...he is not good enough to topple this empire.

So now it is time to right the wrongs around here because ya’ll keep thinking that The Bloodline ain’t running this show anymore and that is disrespectful to Roman Reigns, to The Uso’s, to their family and the one thing you do not do is disrespect the family. So, Jimmy & Jey...Uce, you two are hereby directed to restore honor to this family and go take back which belongs to you, the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. And then at Survivor Series, it will be Roman Reigns who will lead Team SmackDown into war. It will be Roman’s choice and Roman’s team and SmackDown will topple Raw, earn Night Two of Wrestlemania and then a global audience can watch The Head of the Tab…

Drew McIntyre walks out to the ring showing no fear of the Bloodline. Roman looks curious to see what Drew has to say so he actually orders his cousins out of the ring. Drew gets into the ring and says that last Sunday, Roman Reigns defeated Finn Balor. But he did so because Drew McIntyre made a mistake. A mistake that he will regret for the rest of his life. Roman didn’t dominate that match, Roman didn’t earn that win. Drew’s mistake cost Balor..but that has to be in the past.

None of it changes that Drew McIntyre is next for Roman Reigns. But there is a bigger prize at stake and that is SmackDown presenting Night Two of Wrestlemania while Raw has to be Night One. And that can only happen if team SmackDown wins at Survivor Series. But if Roman Reigns thinks that he will form a team of his yes men to fight this war, he is dead wrong because Drew McIntyre will lead this team and that team will kick Raw’s ass. And if Roman doesn’t like it, do something about it.

Roman is incensed but goes to leave before turning around and trying to sucker punch Drew. Drew is ready for it and ducks the punch and then clothesline’s Roman backwards over the ropes. The Bloodline pull their Tribal Chief away while Drew wants a fight. And we will be right back on FOX.

SmackDown returns from break and the cameras are in the pre entrance area where officials are rushing to break up a pushing match between Drew McIntyre and…..Finn Balor. Balor is screaming that Drew intentionally caused his loss on Sunday so that Drew could beat Roman Reigns himself. Drew is calling Finn crazy and it is Finn that has to be dragged away screaming like a madman that Drew stabbed him in the back. Has the friendship between Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre imploded?

<b>ADAM COLE VS AMAZING RED</b>

Amazing Red shows some of the acrobatics that made him a huge indie wrestling star and Cole and Pat put over some of his past during the match. Red hits a twisting Plancha onto Cole for a near fall but AC does a running knee when Amazing Red charges and from there it is all Adam Cole Bay Bay as he nails the Panama Sunrise and then the running knee to the back of the head that Cole tells us is now known as “Lights Out”. Cole covers and gets the duke.

Kendrick starts off being all cocky and slaps Ivar in the face and then realizes his mistake and tags in Tozawa and refuses to tag back in. War Raiders beat the hell out of Akira while Kendrick watches from the floor. Fallout is delivered in what amounts to a squash and Kendrick hightails it it out of there.

In the back Sonya Deville is walking up an hallway and comes across Paul Heyman. She says that she is glad to have found Paul because Sonya saw what happened earlier tonight. Paul says that he apologizes for Drew McIntyre’s confusion because clearly this team is The Tribal Chief’s. Sonya thanks Paul but also says that it is Paul that is confused as well.

Roman Reigns is the SmackDown World Champion and if he wants to be the team captain, that is fine with Sonya. But this is not the Raw franchise and Sonya Deville is not JBL. Sonya will not abdicate her responsibilities to the owner of this franchise and allow Roman to pick this team. And it won’t be Drew McIntyre picking the team either….team SmackDown will be picked by Sonya Deville. Paul demands to know who is on the team then and Sonya says “we’ll see” before walking off.

<b>CHELSEA GREEN VS SHAYNA BASZLER</b>

Shayna starts out dominating Chelsea but Green proves to be determined to make the most of her opportunity on SmackDown and scores with a Northern Lights Suplex Bridge that nearly costs Baszler the title. Chelsea and Shayna trade near falls before the champion takes control and begins to set up the Kirifuda Clutch, but when she goes for it, Chelsea reverses it into a Victory Roll for a near fall. Green battles in and slams Shayna before launching off the top with an elbow but the champ moves and Green’s elbow hits the mat hard. Baszler locks in the Kirifuda Clutch and Chelsea Green is forced to tap out.

Baszler is angry but doesn’t respond, smirks and walks out of the ring and up the aisle with Bianca wanting an answer. Bianca Belair is back on SmackDown and wants her title rematch, but will she get it?

Michael Cole & Pat McAfee welcome us back to SmackDown and take us to last Sunday where Jeff Hardy was hit in the head with a chair before getting hit by the Panama Sunrise and the Running Knee to the head. We are told that Jeff Hardy entered SmackDown’s Concussion Protocol and as such is indeed not here this week. But Hardy has vowed to return to SmackDown and says that his issues with Adam Cole are “far from over”.

<b>SHELTON BENJAMIN AND CEDRIC ALEXANDER VS DREW GULAK AND DRAKE MAVERICK</b>

Maverick & Gulak work surprisingly well together given the fact that this is their first time teaming and Drake takes to the air to set up Gulak’s ground game. Gulak nearly scores a submission victory with a legal lock on Alexander before Shelton breaks it up and then Benjamin and Alexander’s past experience as a team takes hold as they end up winning the match with a T-Bone Suplex by Shelton onto Maverick while Cedric superkicks Gulak off the apron. 1...2...3.

He says that while in the past being on the kick off was seen as something of a let down, Cesaro saw it as an opportunity to show a wider audience what he and Ricochet could do. Cesaro says that on SmackDown there are no throw away matches and no “filler” segments. Everything has a meaning and this title means something too. It means that you are just one level away from the World Title and it also means this is the “working man’s” championship. Roman may defend his title once in awhile, but Cesaro will defend it every week if he has to. So the champ is putting out a open challenge for next week. Who will step up? Cesaro thanks Kayla and goes to walk off when he is nailed from behind with a chair.

We see Robert Roode has the chair and looks down and says “I accept.” It appears Roode will challenge Cesaro for the United States Title next week on SmackDown.

Backstage we see Rhea Ripley warming up for her SmackDown debut when another figure walks into the shot. The camera pans up and we see Paige who the announcers put over has been a mentor to Rhea Ripley. They hug and Paige asks Rhea if she is ready, Rhea affirms that she is. Rhea Ripley, with Paige by her side, will make her debut in the main event against Piper Niven....next.

<b>RHEA RIPLEY W/PAIGE VS PIPER NIVEN</b>

Piper tries to use her size to her advantage as she slams Rhea around the ring but soon this turns into a brawl and both women fall to the floor where Rhea is able to run Piper knee first into ring steps. When Piper grabs Rhea to ram her head into the ring post, Rhea pushes down and kicks Piper in the leg and runs Niven chest-first into the post.

Back in the ring Rhea continues to beat down Piper before actually being able to slam Niven and go for a pin. Piper kicks out at one, swats away a punch by Rhea and throws Ripley into the corner and, on one leg, splashes Rhea in the corner. Piper drops a leg on Rhea but Ripley kicks out. Piper drops a brutal elbow but Ripley kicks out.

Piper goes for another splash to set up the Vader Bomb, but Rhea moves out of the way and Piper collides with the corner. Ripley is able to back Suplex Niven and scores several near falls as she prepares to finish off Piper with the Riptide.

Rhea goes for it and lifts Niven up but suddenly collapses. Replays show that Paige had ran around to where Rhea was and tripped Ripley as she got Piper up for the Riptide. Rhea realizes what happen and Paige smiles at Rhea before flipping off Ripley. Piper blasts Rhea from behind and nails the Vader Bomb and does The Avalanche. Piper covers while Paige cheers her one

Paige has turned on Rhea Ripley and cost her Rhea’s SmackDown debut. With Paige apparently behind the monster Piper Niven, is any woman safe on SmackDown? We’ll see you next week!

<b>LINCE DORADO VS APOLLO CREWS W/COMMANDER AZEEZ</b>

Commander Azeez on the outside taking a few cheap shots doesn’t help Lince in this match but truth be told outside of overcoming an early flurry of high flying attacks, Crews doesn’t need the assist and when he settles in and takes the match over he never looks back. Crews finally ends it with a sit down powerbomb referred to as the Chariot.

We cut to the women’s locker room where Nikki A.S.H., Aliyah, Dana Brooke, and Naomi are all laid out and in obvious pain. Alexa Bliss, Carmella, and the IIconics stand to the side with big smiles.

Bliss shakes her head. “None of you will ever be good enough to wear our title belts.”

Peyton Royce dismissively waives off the quartet on the floor. “Or ever be…..IIconic! (said in unison with Billy Kay).

The four heels walk out together with smirks.

<b>KEITH LEE VS CHAD GABLE W/OTIS</b>

Gable is stronger than he looks but he is on the losing end of the power game in this match. He simply cannot maneuver Lee, who throws him around, at one point over the top to the outside. When Lee goes to retrieve him he has an interesting encounter with Otis who blocks his way. As they begin sizing each other up Gable tries a sneak attack but Lee throws him into Otis who goes falling backwards over the announcer’s table. Lee rolls Gable back into the ring and nails the Big Bang Catastrophe for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: KEITH LEE

I’ve not had the career I believe I deserve but that changes now. I have made my intentions clear and I know that Damian Priest understands it….”

Without his music, the Raw Intercontinental Champion walks down to the ring, belt in hand. He enters and puts his hand out for the microphone which Lee gives him.

“Keith, I definitely understand it. When I got here I felt the same way. It will be an honor to defend this title against you but let me be clear here as well. You won’t beat me.”

Lee raises a brow but both men look like they have some mutual respect.

Backstage MVP approaches Humberto Carillo.

“Hey man, I wanted to tell you how much you impressed the Almighty and myself last week in your showing with Damian Priest and the Raw World Champion wants to see you do it again, but in the ring with him.”

“With him?!”

“That’s right. Tonight you have been handpicked to fight for the Raw World Championship. See you in the ring, kid.”

MVP walks off as Carillo’s expression tells of his excitement.

Jaxson Ryker is pacing in his locker room.

“They said I have to apologize for my actions last week or I’ll be suspended. Well here’s my apology. I’m sorry…..I’m sorry I didn’t hurt that referee worse for touching me. He shouldn’t have done that. I don’t like it when people do that. It reminds me of pain I saw halfway around the world and it makes me want to share that pain.” He gives a twisted grin. “So that’s what I’m gonna do. Every time I’m in that ring I’m going to share my pain with someone and afterwards I’ll feel better….

...but they won’t.”

We’re shown a vignette of a luxury private plane landing in at a private runway and once it comes to a stop, Baron Corbin in an expensive suit steps down the steps and walks to a waiting limo. As he gets in he stops and smiles at the camera.

“It couldn’t happen to a better guy!”

He gets in the car and it takes off.

Garza shines in this one as he dominates Deppen who has yet to find success on Raw. Garza plays to the ladies in the crowd but it never jeopardizes his momentum and he ends the match with a middle rope springboard moonsault Graves refers to as El Muertito.

Natalya is sharp in this quick match showing off how skilled she is in the ring before beginning to focus on breaking down her opponent before she applies the Sharpshooter which gets a quick submission.

“At Halloween Havoc we saw how combustible the Raw Women’s Championship match was and I think all three of those women deserve to be in the title picture so at Survivor Series we’ll see Nia Jax defend against Ember Moon and Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s Championship.

But before then, we’re going to see them all compete beginning in a few minutes but here is the catch. If the woman who is not competing in these matches we’ll see over the next few weeks interferes, even if she comes down to ringside she will not be in the match at Survivor Series!

<b>CHARLOTTE FLAIR VS EMBER MOON</b>

A very even match between these two in the first of the round robin matches. They trade the offense back and forth and Ember has a window of opportunity when Charlotte misses a running big boot. Ember wears Charlotte down and climbs to the top for the Eclipse but Charlotte sprints over and jumps up onto the middle rope before grabbing Ember and flipping them both in the air in a modified belly to belly but it only gets a two count. Frustrated, Charlotte stalks Ember and when she gets up, Charlotte chop blocks her down to her knees, then hits Natural Selection for the win.

We’re shown several pieces of footage from the steel cage match between Kevin Owens and Karrion Kross. Jimmy Smith tells us that Owens was taken to a medical facility to be checked for several injuries and his return to the ring is unknown.

We cut to the backstage where the new RAW Tag Team champions, the Grizzled Young Veterans are in the midst of an argument with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. The New Day lay down a challenge for next week but Gibson and Drake dismiss them saying they’ll have to earn their spot and to come back when they have. This obviously doesn’t sit well with Kingston and Woods.

In what was clearly a setup, MVP keeps Carillo’s attention as the bell rings and Lashley bashes him from the blindside. Carillo is tossed around for a few moments with suplex after suplex before Lashley hits a vicious spear and makes the cover.
